|
[1]And Jehovah saith unto Aaron, `Thou, and thy sons, and the house of thy father with thee, do bear the iniquity of the sanctuary; and thou, and thy sons with thee, do bear the iniquity of your priesthood; |
[1]And the Lord said unto Aaron, Thou, and thy sons and thy father's house with thee, shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary: both thou and thy sons with thee shall bear the iniquity of your priest's office. |
[2]and also thy brethren, the tribe of Levi, the tribe of thy father, bring near with thee, and they are joined unto thee, and serve thee, even thou and thy sons with thee, before the tent of the testimony. |
[2]And bring also with thee thy brethren of the tribe of Levi of the family of thy father, which shall be joined with thee, and minister unto thee: but thou, and thy sons with thee shall minister before the tabernacle of the testimony: |
[3]`And they have kept thy charge, and the charge of all the tent; only, unto the vessels of the sanctuary and unto the altar they do not come near, and they die not, either they or you; |
[3]And they shall keep thy charge, even the charge of all the tabernacle: but they shall not come near the instruments of the sanctuary, nor to the altar, lest they die, both they and you: |
[4]and they have been joined unto thee, and have kept the charge of the tent of meeting, for all the service of the tent; and a stranger doth not come near unto you; |
[4]And they shall be joined with thee, and keep the charge of the tabernacle of the congregation for all the service of the tabernacle: and no stranger shall come near unto you: |
[5]and ye have kept the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar, and there is no more wrath against the sons of Israel. |
[5]Therefore shall ye keep the charge of the sanctuary, and the charge of the altar: so there shall fall no more wrath upon the children of Israel. |
[6]`And I, lo, I have taken your brethren the Levites from the midst of the sons of Israel; to you a gift they are given by Jehovah, to do the service of the tent of meeting; |
[6]For lo, I have taken your brethren the Levites from among the children of Israel, which as a gift of yours, are given unto the Lord, to do the service of the tabernacle of the congregation. |
[7]and thou, and thy sons with thee, do keep your priesthood, for everything of the altar, and within the vail, and ye have served; a service of gift I make your priesthood; and the stranger who is coming near is put to death.' |
[7]But thou, and thy sons with thee shall keep your priest's office for all things of the altar, and within the veil: therefore shall ye serve: for I have made your priest's office an office of service: therefore the stranger that cometh near, shall be slain. |
[8]And Jehovah speaketh unto Aaron: `And I, lo, I have given to thee the charge of My heave-offerings, of all the hallowed things of the sons of Israel -- to thee I have given them for the anointing, and to thy sons, by a statute age-during. |
[8]Again the Lord spake unto Aaron, Behold, I have given thee the keeping of mine offerings, of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel: unto thee I have given them for the anointing's sake, and to thy sons, for a perpetual ordinance. |
[9]This is thine of the most holy things, from the fire: all their offering, to all their present, and to all their sin-offering, and to all their guilt-offering, which they give back to Me, is most holy to thee, and to thy sons; |
[9]This shall be thine of the most holy things, reserved from the fire: all their offering of all their meat offering, and of all their sin offering, and of all their trespass offering, which they bring unto me, that shall be most holy unto thee, and to thy sons. |
[10]in the holy of holies thou dost eat it; every male doth eat it; holy it is to thee. |
[10]In the most holy place shalt thou eat it: every male shall eat of it: it is holy unto thee. |
[11]`And this [is] thine: the heave-offering of their gift, to all the wave-offerings of the sons of Israel, to thee I have given them, and to thy sons, and to thy daughters with thee, by a statute age-during; every clean one in thy house doth eat it; |
[11]This also shall be thine: the heave offering of their gift, with all the shake offerings of the children of Israel: I have given them unto thee and to thy sons and to thy daughters with thee, to be a duty forever: all the clean in thine house shall eat of it. |
[12]all the best of the oil, and all the best of the new wine, and wheat -- their first-[fruits] which they give to Jehovah -- to thee I have given them. |
[12]All the fat of the oil, and all the fat of the wine, and of the wheat, which they shall offer unto the Lord for their first fruits, I have given them unto thee. |
[13]`The first-fruits of all that [is] in their land, which they bring in to Jehovah, are thine; every clean one in thy house doth eat it; |
[13]And the first ripe of all that is in their land, which they shall bring unto Lord, shall be thine: all the clean in thine house shall eat of it. |
[14]every devoted thing in Israel is thine, |
[14]Everything separate from the common use in Israel, shall be thine. |
[15]every one opening a womb of all flesh which they bring near to Jehovah, among man and among beast, is thine; only, thou dost certainly ransom the first-born of man, and the firstling of the unclean beast thou dost ransom. |
[15]All that first openeth the matrice of any flesh, which they shall offer unto the Lord, of man or beast, shall be thine: but the firstborn of man shalt thou redeem, and the firstborn of the unclean beast shalt thou redeem. |
[16]`And their ransomed ones from a son of a month, thou dost ransom with thy valuation, of silver, five shekels, by the shekel of the sanctuary, twenty gerahs it [is]. |
[16]And those that are to be redeemed, shalt thou redeem from the age of a month, according to thy estimation, for the money of five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, which is twenty gerahs. |
[17]`Only, the firstling of a cow, or the firstling of a sheep, or the firstling of a goat, thou dost not ransom, holy they [are]: their blood thou dost sprinkle on the altar, and of their fat thou makest perfume, a fire-offering of sweet fragrance to Jehovah, |
[17]But the firstborn of a cow, or the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat shalt thou not redeem: for they are holy: thou shalt sprinkle their blood at the altar, and thou shalt burn their fat: it is a sacrifice made by fire for a sweet savor unto the Lord. |
[18]and their flesh is thine, as the breast of the wave-offering, and as the right leg, it is thine; |
[18]And the flesh of them shall be thine, as the shake breast, and as the right shoulder shall be thine. |
[19]all the heave-offerings of the holy things which the sons of Israel lift up to Jehovah I have given to thee and to thy sons, and to thy daughters with thee, by a statute age-during, a covenant of salt, age-during it [is] before Jehovah, to thee and to thy seed with thee.' |
[19]All the heave offerings of the holy things which the children of Israel shall offer unto the Lord, have I given thee, and thy sons, and thy daughters with thee, to be a duty forever: it is a perpetual covenant of salt before the Lord, to thee, and to thy seed with thee. |
[20]And Jehovah saith unto Aaron, `In their land thou dost not inherit, and a portion thou hast not in their midst: I [am] thy portion, and thine inheritance in the midst of the sons of Israel; |
[20]And the Lord said unto Aaron, Thou shalt have none inheritance in their land, neither shalt thou have any part among them: I am thy part and thine inheritance among the children of Israel. |
[21]and to the sons of Levi, lo, I have given all the tenth in Israel for inheritance in exchange for their service which they are serving -- the service of the tent of meeting. |
[21]For behold, I have given the children of Levi all the tenth in Israel for an inheritance, for their service which they serve in the tabernacle of the congregation. |
[22]`And the sons of Israel come no more near unto the tent of meeting, to bear sin, to die, |
[22]Neither shall the children of Israel any more come near the tabernacle of the congregation, lest they sustain sin, and die. |
[23]and the Levites have done the service of the tent of meeting, and they -- they bear their iniquity; a statute age-during to your generations, that in the midst of the sons of Israel they have no inheritance; |
[23]But the Levites shall do the service in the tabernacle of the congregation, and they shall bear their sin: it is a law forever in your generations, that among the children of Israel they possess none inheritance. |
[24]but the tithe of the sons of Israel which they lift up to Jehovah, a heave-offering, I have given to the Levites for inheritance; therefore I have said of them, In the midst of the sons of Israel they have no inheritance.' |
[24]For the tithes of the children of Israel, which they shall offer as an offering unto the Lord, I have given the Levites for an inheritance: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel ye shall possess none inheritance. |
[25]And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, saying, |
[25]And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, |
[26]`And unto the Levites thou dost speak; and thou hast said unto them, When ye take from the sons of Israel the tithe which I have given to you from them, for your inheritance, then ye have lifted up from it the heave-offering of Jehovah, a tithe of the tithe; |
[26]Speak also unto the Levites and say unto them, When ye shall take of the children of Israel the tithes, which I have given you of them for your inheritance, then shall ye take an heave offering of that same for the Lord, even the tenth part of the tithe. |
[27]and your heave-offering hath been reckoned to you as corn from the threshing-floor, and as fulness from the wine-vat; |
[27]And your heave offering shall be reckoned unto you, as the corn of the barn, or as the abundance of the wine press. |
[28]so ye do lift up -- ye also -- the heave-offering of Jehovah from all your tithes which ye receive from the sons of Israel; and ye have given from it the heave-offering of Jehovah to Aaron the priest; |
[28]So ye shall also offer an heave offering unto the Lord of all your tithes, which ye shall receive of the children of Israel, and ye shall give thereof the Lord's heave offering to Aaron the priest. |
[29]out of all your gifts ye do lift up the whole heave-offering of Jehovah; out of all its fat, -- its hallowed part -- out of it. |
[29]Ye shall offer of all your gifts all the Lord's heave offerings: of all the fat of the same shall ye offer the holy things thereof. |
[30]`And thou hast said unto them, In your lifting up its fat out of it, then it hath been reckoned to the Levites, as increase of a threshing-floor, and as increase of a wine-vat; |
[30]Therefore thou shalt say unto them, When ye have offered the fat thereof, then it shall be counted unto the Levites, as the increase of the corn floor, or as the increase of the wine press. |
[31]and ye have eaten it in every place, ye and your households, for it [is] your hire in exchange for your service in the tent of meeting; |
[31]And ye shall eat it in all places, ye, and your households: for it is your wages for your service in the tabernacle of the congregation. |
[32]and ye bear no sin for it, in your lifting up its fat out of it, and the holy things of the sons of Israel ye do not pollute, and ye die not.' |
[32]And ye shall bear no sin by the reason of it, when ye have offered the fat of it: neither shall ye pollute the holy things of the children of Israel, lest ye die. |
