| [2]Take the number of all the congregation of the children of Israel from twenty year old and above throughout their father's houses, all that go forth to war in Israel. |
[2]ܩܲܒܸ̇ܠ ܚܘܼܫܒܵܢܵܐ ܕܟ݂ܠܵܗ̇ ܟܢܘܼܫܬܵܐ ܕܲܒ̣̈ܢܲܝ ܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ: ܡ̣ܢ ܒܲܪ ܥܸܣܪܝܼܢ ܫܢ̈ܝܼܢ ܘܲܠܥܸܠ ܠܒܹܝܬ̣ ܐܲܒ̣ܵܗܲܝ̈ܗܘܿܢ: ܟܠ ܕܢܵܦܹ̇ܩ ܒܚܲܝܠܵܐ ܒܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ. |
| [3]So Moses and Eleazar the priest spake unto them in the plain of Moab, by Jordan toward Jericho, saying, |
[3]ܘܡܲܠܸܠܘ ܡܘܼܫܹܐ ܘܐܹܠܝܼܥܵܙܲܪ ܟܵܗܢܵܐ ܥܲܡܗܘܿܢ: ܒܥܲܪܒ̣̰ܘܼܬ̣ ܡܘܼܐܵܒ̣ ܕܥܲܠ ܝܘܿܪܕ̇ܢܵܢ ܕܐܝܼܪܝܼܚܘܿ. |
| [4]From twenty year old and above ye shall number the people, as the Lord had commanded Moses, and the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt. |

| [9]And the sons of Eliab, Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram: this Dathan and Abiram were famous in the congregation, and strove against Moses and against Aaron in the assembly of Korah, when they strove against the Lord. |
[9]ܘܲܒ̣̈ܢܲܝ ܐܸܠܝܲܒ̣: ܢܒ̣ܘܼܐܹܝܠ: ܘܕ݂ܵܬ̣ܵܢ: ܘܐܲܒ̣ܝܼܪܵܢ ܩܪ̈ܝܼܚܹܐ ܕܲܟ݂ܢܘܼܫܬܵܐ: ܕܐܸܬ̣ܦܠܸܓ̣ܘ ܥܲܠ ܡܘܼܫܹܐ ܘܥܲܠ ܐܲܗܪܘܿܢ ܒܲܟ݂ܢܘܼܫܬܹ̇ܗ ܕܩܘܿܪܚ ܘܐܸܬ̣ܦܠܸܓ̣ܘ ܥܲܠ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ. |
| [10]And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up with Korah, when the congregation died, what time the fire consumed, two hundred and fifty men, who were for a sign. |

| [11]Notwithstanding, all the sons of Korah died not. |
[11]ܘܲܒ̣̈ܢܲܝ ܩܘܿܪܚ ܠܵܐ ܡܝܼܬ̣ܘ. |
| [12]And the children of Simeon after their families were: Nemuel, of whom came the family of the Nemuelites: of Jamin, the family of the Jaminites: of Jachin, the family of the Jachinites: |

[52]ܘܡܲܠܸܠ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܥܲܡ ܡܘܼܫܹܐ: ܘܐܸܡܲܪ ܠܹܗ. |
| [53]Unto these the land shall be divided for an inheritance, according to the number of names. |
[53]ܠܗܵܠܹܝܢ ܬܸܬ̣ܦܲܠܲܓ̣ ܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܒܝܵܪܬ̇ܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܠܡܸܢܝܢܵܐ ܕܲܫܡܵܗܹ̈ܐ. |
| [54]To many thou shalt give the more inheritance, and to few thou shalt give less inheritance: to every one according to his number shall be given his inheritance. |
[54]ܠܣܲܓ̇ܝܼ̈ܐܹܐ ܬܸܣܓܹ̇ܐ ܝܵܪܬ̇ܘܼܬ̣ܗܘܿܢ: ܘܠܲܙܥܘܿܪܹ̈ܐ ܬܸܙܥܲܪ ܝܵܪܬ̇ܘܼܬ̣ܗܘܿܢ: ܐ̄ܢܵܫ ܠܦܘܼܬ̣ ܡܸܢܝܵܢܹܗ ܢܩܲܒܸ̇ܠ ܝܵܪܬ̇ܘܼܬܹܗ. |
| [55]Notwithstanding, the land shall be divided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit: |
[55]ܒܪܲܡ ܕܹܝܢ ܒܦܸܨܹ̈ܐ ܬܸܬ̣ܦܲܠܲܓ̣ ܐܲܪܥܵܐ: ܠܲܫܡܵܗܹ̈ܐ ܕܫܲܒ̣̈ܛܹܐ ܕܐܲܒ̣ܵܗܲܝ̈ܗܘܿܢ ܢܹܐܪܬ̇ܘܿܢ. |
| [56]According to the lot shall the possession thereof be divided between many and few. |

| [59]And Amram's wife was called Jochebed the daughter of Levi, which was born unto Levi in Egypt: and she bear unto Amram Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam their sister. |
[59]ܘܫܸܡ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ܬܹܗ ܕܥܲܡܪܲܡ ܝܘܿܟ݂ܵܒܵܪ ܒܲܪܬ̣. ܠܹܘܝܼ ܕܐܸܬ̣ܝܲܠܕܲܬ̣ ܠܠܹܘܝܼ ܒܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ: ܘܝܸܠܕܲܬ̤ ܠܥܲܡܪܲܡ: ܠܐܲܗܪܘܿܢ: ܘܲܠܡܘܼܫܹܐ: ܘܲܠܡܲܪܝܲܡ ܚܵܬ̣ܗܘܿܢ. |
| [60]And unto Aaron were born Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. |
[60]ܘܐܸܬ̣ܝܼܠܸܕ݂ܘ ܠܐܲܗܪܘܿܢ: ܢܵܕ݂ܵܒ̣: ܘܐܲܒ̣ܝܼܗܘܿ: ܘܐܹܠܝܼܥܵܙܲܪ: ܘܐܝܼܬ̣ܵܡܲܪ. |
| [61]And Nadab and Abihu died, because they offered strange fire before the Lord. |
[61]ܘܡܝܼܬ̣ܘ ܢܵܕ݂ܵܒ̣ ܘܐܲܒ̣ܝܼܗܘܿ ܟܲܕ݂ ܩܲܪܸܒ̣ܘ ܢܘܼܪܵܐ ܢܘܼܟ݂ܪܵܝܬܵܐ ܩܕ݂ܵܡ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ. |
| [62]And their numbers were three and twenty thousand, all males from a month old and above: for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was none inheritance given them among the children of Israel. |
[62]ܘܲܗܘ̤ܵܐ ܡܸܢܝܵܢܗܘܿܢ: ܥܸܣܪܝܼܢ ܘܲܬ̣ܠܵܬܵܐ ܐܲܠܦ̈ܝܼܢ: ܟܠ ܕܸܟ݂ܪܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܲܪ ܝܲܪܚܵܐ ܘܲܠܥܸܠ: ܡܸܛܠ ܕܠܵܐ ܐܸܬ̣ܡ̱ܢܝܼܘ ܒܓ̣ܵܘ ܒ̈ܢܲܝ ܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ: ܡܸܛܠ ܕܠܵܐ ܐܸܬ̣ܝܲܗ̄ܒܲܬ̤ ܠܗܘܿܢ ܝܵܪܬ̇ܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܒܲܝܢܵܬ̣ ܒ̈ܢܲܝ ܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ. |
| [63]These are the numbers of Moses and Eleazar the priest which numbered the children of Israel in the plain of Moab, near Jordan, toward Jericho. |

| [64]And among these there was not a man of them, whom Moses and Aaron the priest numbered, when they told the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai. |

| [65]For the Lord said of them, They shall die in the wilderness: so there was not left a man of them, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. |
[65]ܡܸܛܠ ܕܐܸܡܲܪ ܠܗܘܿܢ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ: ܡܸܬ̣ܩܛܵܠܘܼ ܢܸܬ̣ܩܲܛܠܘܼܢ ܒܡܲܕ݂ܒ̇ܪܵܐ: ܘܠܵܐ ܢܸܫܬܲܚܲܪ ܡܸܢܗܘܿܢ ܓܒܲܪ: ܐܸܠܵܐ ܐܸܢ ܟܵܠܵܒ̣ ܒܲܪ ܝܘܿܦܲܢܵܐ ܘܝܼܫܘܿܥ ܒܲܪܢܘܿܢ. |
