[1]And MosesH4872 spakeH1696[H8762] unto the headsH7218 of the tribesH4294 concerning the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559[H8800], This is the thingH1697 which the LORDH3068 hath commandedH6680.[H8765] [1](30:2) Moses also spake unto the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded,
[2]If a manH376 vowH5087[H8799] a vowH5088 unto the LORDH3068, or swearH7650[H8736] an oathH7621 to bindH631[H8800] his soulH5315 with a bondH632; he shall not breakH2490[H8686] his wordH1697, he shall doH6213[H8799] according to all that proceedethH3318[H8802] out of his mouthH6310. [2](30:3) Whosoever voweth a vow unto the Lord, or sweareth an oath to bind himself by a bond, he shall not break his promise, but shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.
[3]If a womanH802 also vowH5087[H8799] a vowH5088 unto the LORDH3068, and bindH631[H8804] herself by a bondH632, being in her father'sH1 houseH1004 in her youthH5271; [3](30:4) If a woman also vow a vow unto the Lord, and bind herself by a bond, being in her father's house, in the time of her youth,
[4]And her fatherH1 hearH8085[H8804] her vowH5088, and her bondH632 wherewith she hath boundH631[H8804] her soulH5315, and her fatherH1 shall hold his peaceH2790[H8689] at her: then all her vowsH5088 shall standH6965[H8804], and every bondH632 wherewith she hath boundH631[H8804] her soulH5315 shall standH6965.[H8799] [4](30:5) And her father hear her vow and bond, wherewith she hath bound herself, and her father hold his peace concerning her, then all her vows shall stand, and every bond, wherewith she hath bound herself, shall stand.
[5]But if her fatherH1 disallowH5106[H8689] her in the dayH3117 that he hearethH8085[H8800]; not any of her vowsH5088, or of her bondsH632 wherewith she hath boundH631[H8804] her soulH5315, shall standH6965[H8799]: and the LORDH3068 shall forgiveH5545[H8799] her, because her fatherH1 disallowedH5106 herH8689. [5](30:6) But if her father disallow her the same day that he heareth all her vows and bonds, wherewith she hath bound herself, they shall not be of value, and the Lord will forgive her, because her father disallowed her.
[6]And if she had at all an husbandH376, when she vowedH5088, or utteredH4008 ought out of her lipsH8193, wherewith she boundH631[H8804] her soulH5315; [6](30:7) And if she have an husband when she voweth or pronounceth ought with her lips, wherewith she bindeth herself,
[7]And her husbandH376 heardH8085[H8804] it, and held his peaceH2790[H8689] at her in the dayH3117 that he heardH8085[H8800] it: then her vowsH5088 shall standH6965[H8804], and her bondsH632 wherewith she boundH631[H8804] her soulH5315 shall standH6965.[H8799] [7](30:8) If her husband heard it, and holdeth his peace concerning her, the same day he heareth it, then her vow shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she bindeth herself shall stand in effect.
[8]But if her husbandH376 disallowedH5106[H8686] her on the dayH3117 that he heardH8085[H8800] it; then he shall make her vow which she vowedH5088, and that which she utteredH4008 with her lipsH8193, wherewith she boundH631[H8804] her soulH5315, of none effectH6565[H8689]: and the LORDH3068 shall forgiveH5545 herH8799. [8](30:9) But if her husband disallow her the same day that he heareth it, then shall he make her vow which she hath made, and that that she hath pronounced with her lips, wherewith she bound herself, of none effect: and the Lord will forgive her.
[9]But every vowH5088 of a widowH490, and of her that is divorcedH1644[H8803], wherewith they have boundH631[H8804] their soulsH5315, shall standH6965 against herH8799. [9](30:10) But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced (wherewith she hath bound herself) shall stand in effect with her.
[10]And if she vowedH5087[H8804] in her husband'sH376 houseH1004, or boundH631[H8804] her soulH5315 by a bondH632 with an oathH7621; [10](30:11) And if she vowed in her husband's house, or bound herself straightly with an oath,
[11]And her husbandH376 heardH8085[H8804] it, and held his peaceH2790[H8689] at her, and disallowedH5106[H8689] her not: then all her vowsH5088 shall standH6965[H8799], and every bondH632 wherewith she boundH631[H8804] her soulH5315 shall standH6965.[H8804] [11](30:12) And her husband hath heard it, and held his peace concerning her, not disallowing her, then all her vows shall stand, and every bond, wherewith she bound herself, shall stand in effect.
[12]But if her husbandH376 hath utterlyH6565[H8687] made them voidH6565[H8686] on the dayH3117 he heardH8085[H8800] them; then whatsoever proceededH4161 out of her lipsH8193 concerning her vowsH5088, or concerning the bondH632 of her soulH5315, shall not standH6965[H8799]: her husbandH376 hath made them voidH6565[H8689]; and the LORDH3068 shall forgiveH5545 herH8799. [12](30:13) But if her husband disannulled them, the same day that he heard them, nothing that proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows or concerning her bonds, shall stand in effect: for her husband hath disannulled them: and the Lord will forgive her.
[13]Every vowH5088, and every bindingH632 oathH7621 to afflictH6031[H8763] the soulH5315, her husbandH376 may establishH6965[H8686] it, or her husbandH376 may make it voidH6565.[H8686] [13](30:14) So every vow, and every oath or bond, made to humble the soul, her husband may stablish it, or her husband may break it.
[14]But if her husbandH376 altogetherH2790[H8687] hold his peaceH2790[H8686] at her from dayH3117 to dayH3117; then he establishethH6965[H8689] all her vowsH5088, or all her bondsH632, which are upon her: he confirmethH6965[H8689] them, because he held his peaceH2790[H8689] at her in the dayH3117 that he heardH8085 themH8800. [14](30:15) But if her husband hold his peace concerning her from day to day, then he stablisheth all her vows and all her bonds which she hath made: he hath confirmed them because he held his peace concerning her the same day that he heard them.
[15]But if he shall any waysH6565[H8687] make them voidH6565[H8686] afterH310 that he hath heardH8085[H8800] them; then he shall bearH5375[H8804] her iniquityH5771. [15](30:16) But if he break them after that he hath heard them, then shall he bear her iniquity.
[16]These are the statutesH2706, which the LORDH3068 commandedH6680[H8765] MosesH4872, between a manH376 and his wifeH802, between the fatherH1 and his daughterH1323, being yet in her youthH5271 in her father'sH1 houseH1004. [16](30:17) These are the ordinances which the Lord commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, and between the father and his daughter, being young in her father's house.
