| [2]The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whoever provoketh him to anger sinneth against his own soul. |

| [5]Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; but a man of understanding will draw it out. |

| [6]Most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find? |

| [7]The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him. |
[7]ܙܲܕ̇ܝܼܩܵܐ ܕܲܡܗܲܠܸܟ݂ ܒܬܲܡܝܼܡܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ: ܛܘܼܒܲܝܗܘܿܢ ܠܲܒ̣ܢܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܡ̣ܢ ܒܵܬ̣ܪܹܗ. |
| [8]A king that sitteth on the throne of judgment scattereth away all evil with his eyes. |
[8]ܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܝܵܬܹ̇ܒ̣ ܥܲܠ ܟܘܼܪܣܝܵܐ ܕܕ݂ܝܼܢܵܐ: ܘܡܸܬ̣ܒܲܕ̇ܪ̈ܵܢ ܡ̣ܢ ܩܕ݂ܵܡܵܘܗܝ ܟܠܗܹܝܢ ܒܝܼ̈ܫܵܬ̣ܵܐ. |
| [9]Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin? |
[9]ܡ̇ܢ ܢܹܐܡܲܪ ܕܙܲܟܵܝ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ ܠܹܒ̇ܝ. ܘܐܸܬ̣ܕܲܟ̇ܝܼܬ̣ ܡ̣ܢ ܚܛܵܗܹ̈ܐ. |
| [10]Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the LORD. |
[10]ܡܲܬ̣ܩܵܠܵܐ ܘܡܲܬ̣ܩܵܠܵܐ: ܟܲܝܠܵܐ ܘܲܟ݂ܝܵܠܬܵܐ: ܡܲܣܠܹܝܢ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܩܕ݂ܵܡ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܬܪ̈ܲܝܗܘܿܢ. |
| [11]Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work is pure, and whether it is right. |
[11]ܐܵܦ ܒܲܥܒ̣ܵܕ݂ܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܡܸܬ̣̱ܝܼܕܲܥ ܛܲܠܝܵܐ: ܐܸܢ ܕܟܸܐ ܘܐܸܢ ܬܪܝܼܨܝܼܢ ܥܒ̣ܵܕ݂ܵܘ̈ܗܝ. |
| [12]The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them. |
[12]ܐܸܕ݂ܢܵܐ ܕܫܵܡܥܵܐ: ܘܥܲܝܢܵܐ ܕܚܵܙ̇ܝܵܐ: ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܥ̣ܒܲܕ݂ ܐܸܢܹܝܢ. |
| [13]Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thy eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread. |
[13]ܠܵܐ ܬܸܪܚܲܡ ܫܸܢܬ̣ܵܐ: ܕܠܵܐ ܬܸܬ̣ܡܲܣܟܸ̇ܢ. ܐܸܠܵܐ ܦܬܲܚ ܥܲܝܢܲܝ̈ܟ: ܘܲܣܒܲܥ ܠܲܚܡܵܐ. |
| [14]It is naught, it is naught, saith the buyer: but when he is gone, then he boasteth. |

| [15]There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel. |
[15]ܘܢܹܐܡܲܪ ܕܐܝܼܬ̣ ܕܲܗܒ̣ܵܐ: ܘܣܘܿܓ̣ܵܐܐ ܕܟܹܐܦܹ̈ܐ ܛܵܒ̣ܵـ̈ـܬ̣ܵܐ: ܘܡܵܐܢܹ̈ܐ ܝܲܩܝܼܪܹ̈ܐ: ܘܣܸܦ̈ܘܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܝܼܕܲܥܬ̣ܵܐ. |
| [16]Take his garment that is surety for a stranger: and take a pledge of him for a strange woman. |
[16]ܢܣܲܒ̣ܘ ܡܲܪܛܘܼܛܹܗ ܕܡ̇ܢ ܕܥܵܪܹܒ̣ ܠܢܘܼܟ݂ܪܵܝܵܐ. ܘܥܲܠ ܐܲܦܲܝ̈ ܢܘܼܟ݂ܪܵܝܵܐ ܢܣܲܒ̣ܘ ܡܸܫܟܵܢܹܗ. |
| [17]Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel. |
[17]ܥ̣ܪܲܒ̣ ܠܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܒܠܲܚܡܵܐ ܕܲܓܵܠܵܐ. ܘܒ̣ܵܬܲܪ ܗܵܝܕܹ̇ܝܢ ܢܸܬ̣ܡ̱ܠܹܗ ܦܘܼܡܹܗ ܚܨܵܨܹ̈ܐ. |
| [18]Every purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war. |
[18]ܡܲܚܫܲܒ̣ܬ̣ܵܐ ܒܬܲܪܥܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܡܲܬ̣ܩܢܵܐ. ܘܲܒ̣ܓ̣ܘܼܪܵܓ̣ܵܐ ܡܸܬ̣ܥ̱ܒܸܕ݂ ܩܪܵܒ̣ܵܐ. |
| [19]He that goeth about as a tale-bearer revealeth secrets; therefore meddle not with him that flattereth with his lips. |
[19]ܕܓ̣ܵܠܹܐ ܐ̄ܪܵܙܵܐ: ܐܵܟܹ̇ܠ ܩܲܪܨܵܐ. ܘܥܲܡ ܡ̇ܢ ܕܲܡܣܲܪ̱̈ܗܒ̣ܵܢ ܣܸܦ̈ܘܵܬܹܗ: ܠܵܐ ܬܸܬ̣ܚܲܠܲܛ. |
| [20]Whoever curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in obscure darkness. |
[20]ܕܠܵܐܹ̇ܛ ܠܐܲܒ̣ܘܼܗܝ ܘܠܐܸܡܹܗ: ܢܸܕ݂ܥܲܟ݂ ܫܪܵܓܹܗ: ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܒܵܒ̣ܬ̣ܵܐ ܚܸܫܘܿܟ݂ܬܵܐ. |
| [21]An inheritance may be gotten hastily at the beginning; but the end of it shall not be blessed. |
[21]ܝܵܪܬ̇ܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܲܡܣܲܪ̱ܗܒ̣ܵܐ ܒܩܲܕ݂ܡܵܝܬܵܗ̇: ܒܐܲܚܪܵܝܬܵܗ̇ ܠܵܐ ܬܸܬ̣ܒܲܪܲܟ݂. |
| [22]Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee. |
[22]ܠܵܐ ܬܹܐܡܲܪ ܕܐܸܦܪܘܿܥ ܒܝܼܫܬܵܐ. ܐܸܠܵܐ ܣܲܟܵܐ ܠܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܕܢܸܦ̱ܪܩܵܟ݂. |
| [23]Divers weights are an abomination to the LORD; and a false balance is not good. |
[23]ܛܲܡܐܝܼܢ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܩܕ݂ܵܡ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܡܲܬ̣̈ܩܵܠܹܐ ܘܡܲܬ̣̈ܩܵܠܹܐ. ܘܡܲܣ̈ܐܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܢܸܟ݂ܠܵܐ ܠܵܐ ܫܲܦܝܼܪܵܢ. |
| [24]Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way? |
[24]ܡ̣ܢ ܩܕ݂ܵܡ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܡܲܬ̣ܩ̈ܢܵܢ ܗܲܠܟ݂ܵܬܹ̈ܗ ܕܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ. ܘܐܲܝܢܵܐ ܗ̄ܘܼ ܒܲܪܢܵܫܵܐ ܕܢܲܬ̣ܩܸܢ ܐܘܼܪܚܹܗ. |
| [25]It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make inquiry. |
[25]ܦܲܚܵܐ ܗ̄ܘܼ ܠܒܲܪܢܵܫܵܐ ܕܢܵܕܲܪ ܠܩܘܼܕ݂ܫܵܐ. ܘܡ̣ܢ ܒܵܬܲܪ ܕܢܵܕܲܪ: ܬܵܘ̇ܝܵܐ ܠܹܗ ܢܲܦ̮ܫܹܗ. |
| [26]A wise king scatterreth the wicked, and bringeth the wheel over them. |
[26]ܡܒܲܕܲܪ ܠܥܵܘܿܠܹܐ ܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܚܲܟ̇ܝܼܡܵܐ. ܘܡܲܗܦܸܟ݂ ܥܠܲܝܗܘܿܢ ܓܝܼܓ̣ܠܵܐ. |
| [27]The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly. |
[27]ܫܪܵܓܹܗ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܢܫܲܡܬ̣ܵܐ ܗ̄ܝܼ ܕܲܒ̣ܢܲܝ̈ܢܵܫܵܐ. ܘܒ̣ܵܨ̇ܝܵܐ ܟܠܗܘܿܢ ܬܵܘܵܢܹ̈ܐ ܕܟܲܪܣܵܐ. |
| [28]Mercy and truth preserve the king: and his throne is upheld by mercy. |

| [29]The glory of young men is their strength: and the beauty of old men is the gray head. |
[29]ܬܸܫܒ̇ܘܿܚܬܵܐ ܕܓܲܕܲܘܼ̈ܕܹܐ ܚܲܝ̱ܠܗܘܿܢ. ܘܗܸܕ݂ܪܵܐ ܕܩܲܫܝܼܫܹ̈ܐ ܣܲܝܒ̇ܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ. |
| [30]The blueness of a wound cleanseth away evil: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly. |
[30]ܫܚܵܩܵܐ ܦܓܲܥ̣ܘ ܒܒ̣ܝܼܫܹ̈ܐ. ܘܲܡܚܘܿܬ̣ܐ ܠܬ̣ܵܘܢܹ̈ܐ ܕܟܲܪܣܗܘܿܢ. |
