[2]ἄφρωνA3N-NSMS γάρX εἰμίV9-PAI1S πᾶςA3-GPM ἄνθρωποςN2-GPM καίC φρόνησιςN3I-NSF ἄνθρωποςN2-GPM οὐD εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐνP ἐγώRP-DS [2]Surely, I am weak minded, and have not the understanding of men.
[3]θεόςN2-NSM διδάσκωVX-XAI3S ἐγώRP-AS σοφίαN1A-ASF καίC γνῶσιςN3I-ASF ἅγιοςA1A-GPM γιγνώσκωVX-XAI1S [3]I know not wisdom, nor have I learned the knowledge of the holy men.
[4]τίςRI-NSM ἀναβαίνωVZI-AAI3S εἰςPRA-ASM οὐρανόςN2-ASM καίC καταβαίνωVZI-AAI3S τίςRI-NSM συνἄγωVBI-AAI3S ἄνεμοςN2-APM ἐνP κόλποςN2-DSM τίςRI-NSM συνστρέφωVAI-AAI3S ὕδωρN3-ASN ἐνP ἱμάτιονN2N-DSN τίςRI-NSM κρατέωVAI-AAI3S πᾶςA3-GPMRA-GPM ἄκροςA1A-GPMRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF τίςRI-NSN ὄνομαN3M-NSN αὐτόςRD-DSMC τίςRI-NSN ὄνομαN3M-NSNRA-DPM τέκνονN2N-DPM αὐτόςRD-GSM ἵναC γιγνώσκωVZ-AAS2S [4]Tell me, Who has ascended up into heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has bound the waters in a handkerchief? Who has established all the borders of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name, if you can tell?

[6]μήD προςθέωV2-PAS2SRA-DPM λόγοςN2-DPM αὐτόςRD-GSM ἵναC μήD ἐλέγχωVF-FMI2S σύRP-AS καίC ψευδήςA3H-NSM γίγνομαιVB-AMS2S [6]Do not add to his words; lest he reprove you, and you be found a liar
[7]δύοM--NDM αἰτέωV2-PMI1S παράP σύRP-GS μήD ἀποαἱρέωVB-AAS2S ἐγώRP-GS χάριςN3-ASF πρόPRA-GSN ἀποθνήσκωVB-AAN ἐγώRP-AS [7]Two things have I asked of thee; deny them not to me before I die:
[8]μάταιοςA1A-ASM λόγοςN2-ASM καίC ψευδήςA3H-ASM μακράνD ἐγώRP-GS ποιέωVA-AAD2S πλοῦτοςN2-ASM δέX καίC πενίαN1A-ASF μήD ἐγώRP-DS δίδωμιVO-AAS2S συντάσσωVA-AAD2S δέX ἐγώRP-DSRA-APN δέωV2-PAPASM καίCRA-APN αὐτάρκηςA3H-APN [8]Remove far from me vanity and lies; give me neither poverty nor riches; give me life sufficient
[9]ἵναC μήD πίμπλημιVS-APPNSM ψευδήςA3H-NSM γίγνομαιVB-AMS1S καίC εἶπονVB-AAS1S τίςRI-NSM ἐγώRP-AS ὁράωV3-PAI3SC πενέωVC-APPNSM κλέπτωVF-FAI1S καίC ὄμνυμιVF-FAI1SRA-ASN ὄνομαN3M-ASNRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM [9]Lest I be full, and lie, and say, Who is the LORD? Or lest I be poor and steal, and take the name of my God in vain
[10]μήD παραδίδωμιVO-AAS2S οἰκέτηςN1M-ASM εἰςP χείρN3-APF δεσπότηςN1M-GSM μήποτεD καταἀράομαιVA-AMS3S σύRP-AS καίC ἀπο ἀναἵζωVS-APS2S [10]Do not deliver a slave to his master, lest he curse you, and you be found guilty.
[11]ἔκγονοςA1B-ASM κακόςA1-ASM πατήρN3-ASM καταἀράομαιV3-PMI3SRA-ASF δέX μήτηρN3-ASF οὐD εὐλογέωV2-PAI3S [11]There is a generation that curses their fathers, and does not bless their mothers.
[12]ἔκγονοςA1B-ASM κακόςA1-ASM δίκαιοςA1A-ASM ἑαυτοῦRD-ASM κρίνωV1-PAI3SRA-ASF δέX ἔξοδοςN2-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM οὐD ἀπονίπτωVAI-AAI3S [12]There is a generation that is pure in their own eyes, and vet is not washed from their filthiness.
[13]ἔκγονοςA1B-ASM κακόςA1-ASM ὑψηλόςA1-APM ὀφθαλμόςN2-APM ἔχωV1-PAI3SRA-DPM δέX βλέφαρονN2N-DPN αὐτόςRD-GSM ἐπιαἴρωV1-PMI3S [13]There is a generation. O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up.
[14]ἔκγονοςA1B-ASM κακόςA1-ASM μάχαιραN1-APFRA-APM ὀδούςN3T-APM ἔχωV1-PAI3S καίCRA-APF μύληN1-APF τομίςN3D-APF ὥστεC ἀναἁλίσκωV1-PAN καίC καταἐσθίωV1-PANRA-APM ταπεινόςA1-APM ἀπόPRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF καίCRA-APM πένηςN3T-APM αὐτόςRD-GPM ἐκP ἄνθρωποςN2-GPM [14]There is a generation, whose teeth are like swords, and their jaw teeth like knives, to devour the poor from off the earth and the needy from among men
[15]RA-DSF βδέλλαN1A-DSF τρεῖςA3-NPF θυγάτηρN3-NPF εἰμίV9-IAI3P ἀγαπάωVF-FAI3S ἀγαπάωV3-PMPNPF καίCRA-NPF τρεῖςA3-NPF ἑαυτοῦRD-NPF οὐD ἐνπίμπλημιV6I-IAI3P αὐτόςRD-ASF καίCRA-NSF τέταρτοςA1-NSF οὐD ἀρκέωVCI-API3S εἶπονVB-AAN ἱκανόςA1-NSN [15]A gluttonous man has three beloved daughters. There are three things that are never satisfied; yea, a fourth that never says, It is enough:

[17]ὀφθαλμόςN2-ASM καταγελάωV3-PAPASM πατήρN3-GSM καίC ἀτιμάζωV1-PAPASM γῆραςN3-ASN μήτηρN3-GSF ἐκκόπτωVA-AAO3P αὐτόςRD-ASM κόραξN3K-NPM ἐκPRA-GPF φάραγξN3G-GPF καίC καταἐσθίωVB-AAO3P αὐτόςRD-ASM νεοσσόςN2-NPM ἀετόςN2-GPM [17]The eye that mocks at his father and despises the old age of his mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out and the young vultures shall eat it
[18]τρεῖςA3-NPN δέX εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἀδύνατοςA1B-NPN ἐγώRP-DS νοέωVA-AAN καίCRA-ASN τέταρτοςA1-ASN οὐD ἐπιγιγνώσκωV1-PAI1S [18]There are three things that are hidden from me, yea, four which I do not know:
[19]ἴσνοςN3E-APN ἀετόςN2-GSM πέτομαιV1-PMPGSM καίC ὁδόςN2-APF ὄφιςN3I-GSM ἐπίP πέτραN1A-GSF καίC τρίβοςN2-APF ναῦςN3-GSF ποντοπορέωV2-PAPGSF καίC ὁδόςN2-APF ἀνήρN3-GSM ἐνP νεότηςN3T-DSF [19]The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man in his youth.
[20]τοιοῦτοςA1-NSF ὁδόςN2-NSF γυνήN3K-GSF μοιχαλίςN3D-GSF ὅςRR-NSF ὅτανD πράσσωVF-FMI2S ἀπονίπτωVA-AMPNSF οὐδείςA3-ASN φημίV6-PAI3S πράσσωVX-XAN ἄτοποςA1B-ASM [20]Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eats, and wipes her mouth, and says, I have done no evil.
[21]διάP τρεῖςA3-GPM σείωV1-PMI3SRA-NSF γῆN1-NSFRA-ASN δέX τέταρτοςA1-ASN οὐD δύναμαιV6-PMI3S φέρωV1-PAN [21]Under three things the earth quakes, and under four it cannot endure:
[22]ἐάνC οἰκέτηςN1M-NSM βασιλεύωVA-AAS2S καίC ἄφρωνA3N-NSM πίμπλημιVS-APS3S σιτίονN2N-GPN [22]Under a servant when he reigns: and under a fool when he is filled with bread;
[23]καίC οἰκέτιςN3D-NSF ἐάνC ἐκβάλλωVB-AAS3SRA-ASF ἑαυτοῦRD-GSF κυρίαN1A-ASF καίC μισητόςA1-NSF γυνήN3K-NSF ἐάνC τυγχάνωVB-AAS3S ἀνήρN3-GSM ἀγαθόςA1-GSM [23]Under an odious woman when she is married; and under a maidservant who ousts her mistress
[24]τέσσαρεςA3-NPN δέX εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐλαχύςA1-NPNS ἐπίPRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF οὗτοςRD-NPN δέX εἰμίV9-PAI3S σοφόςA1-NPNCRA-GPM σοφόςA1-GPM [24]There are four things that are small upon the earth, but they are wiser than wise men:
[25]RA-NPM μύρμηξN3K-NPM ὅςRR-DPM μήD εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἰσχύςN3-NSF καίC ἑτοιμάζωV1-PMI3P θέροςN3E-GSNRA-ASF τροφήN1-ASF [25]The ants which have no strength, yet they provide their food in the summer;
[26]καίCRA-NPM χοιρογρύλλιοςN2-NPM ἔθνοςN3E-NSN οὐD ἰσχυρόςA1A-NSN ὅςRR-NPM ποιέωVAI-AMI3P ἐνP πέτραN1A-DPFRA-APM ἑαυτοῦRD-GPM οἶκοςN2-APM [26]The conies who lack strength, and yet they make their houses in the rocks;
[27]ἀβασίλευτοςA1B-NSN εἰμίV9-PAI3SRA-NSF ἀκρίςN3D-NSF καίC ἐκστρατεύωV1-PAI3S ἀπόP εἷςA3-GSN κέλευσμαN3M-GSN εὐτάκτωςD [27]The locusts who have no king, and yet they all gather together.
[28]καίC καλαβώτηςN1M-NSM χείρN3-DPF ἐρειδόμενοςV1-PMPNSM καίC εὐάλωτοςA1B-NSM εἰμίV9-PAPNSM καταοἰκέωV2-PAI3S ἐνP ὀχύρωμαN3M-DPN βασιλεύςN3V-GSM [28]The chameleon which takes hold with her hands, but is found in kings' palaces
[29]τρεῖςA3-NPN δέX εἰμίV9-PAI3S ὅςRR-NPN εὐόδωςD πορεύομαιV1-PMI3S καίCRA-NSN τέταρτοςA1-ASM ὅςRR-NSN καλῶςD διαβαίνωV1-PAI3S [29]There are three things that go well, yea, four are graceful in their going:
[30]σκύμνοςN2-NSM λέωνN3-GSM ἰσχυρόςA1A-NSMC κτῆνοςN3E-GPN ὅςRR-NSM οὐD ἀποστρέφωV1-PMI3S οὐδέC καταπτήσσωV1-PAI3S κτῆνοςN3E-ASN [30]The lion which is mightiest among beasts, and neither fears nor turns back before any of the beasts:
[31]καίC ἀλέκτωρN3R-NSM ἐν περιπατέωV2-PAPNSM θῆλυςA3U-DPF εὔψυχοςA1B-NSM καίC τράγοςN2-NSM ἡγέομαιV2-PMPNSM αἰπόλιονN2N-GSN καίC βασιλεύςN3V-NSM δημηγορέωV2-PAPNSM ἐνP ἔθνοςN3E-DSN [31]The cock that walks proudly among the chickens; the he-goat that goes before the flock; and a king who speaks among the people.
[32]ἐάνC προεἰμίV9-PAS3S σεαυτοῦRD-ASM εἰςP εὐφροσύνηN1-ASF καίC ἐκτείνωVA-AAS2SRA-ASF χείρN3-ASF σύRP-GS μετάP μάχηN1-GSF ἀτιμάζωVS-FPI2S [32]Covet not that you may not be reproached; do not feed yourself by things acquired wrongfully.
[33]ἀμέλγωV1-PAD2S γάλαN3-ASN καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S βούτυρονN2N-NSN ἐάνC δέX ἐκπιέζωV1-PAS2S μυκτήρN3-APM ἐκἔρχομαιVF-FMI3S αἷμαN3M-NSN ἐάνC δέX ἐκἔλκωV1-PAS2S λόγοςN2-APM ἐκἔρχομαιVF-FMI3P κρίσιςN3I-NPF καίC μάχηN1-NPF [33]Out of the richness of the milk comes forth butter; and if you press your hand on a raw grain of wheat, it will bring forth juices; thus out of the strife goes forth judgment
