[A Song of Degrees.]
[1]A SongH7892 of degreesH4609. I will lift upH5375[H8799] mine eyesH5869 unto the hillsH2022, from whenceH370 comethH935[H8799] my helpH5828. [1]I lifted up mine eyes to the mountains, whence my help shall come.
[2]My helpH5828 cometh from the LORDH3068, which madeH6213[H8802] heavenH8064 and earthH776. [2]My help shall come from the Lord, who made the heaven and the earth.
[3]He will not sufferH5414[H8799] thy footH7272 to be movedH4132: he that keepethH8104[H8802] thee will not slumberH5123.[H8799] [3]Let not thy foot be moved; and let not thy keeper slumber.
[4]Behold, he that keepethH8104[H8802] IsraelH3478 shall neither slumberH5123[H8799] nor sleepH3462.[H8799] [4]Behold, he that keeps Israel shall not slumber nor sleep.
[5]The LORDH3068 is thy keeperH8104[H8802]: the LORDH3068 is thy shadeH6738 upon thy rightH3225 handH3027. [5]The Lord shall keep thee: the Lord is thy shelter upon thy right hand.
[6]The sunH8121 shall not smiteH5221[H8686] thee by dayH3119, nor the moonH3394 by nightH3915. [6]The sun shall not burn thee by day, neither the moon by night.
[7]The LORDH3068 shall preserveH8104[H8799] thee from all evilH7451: he shall preserveH8104[H8799] thy soulH5315. [7]May the Lord preserve thee from all evil: the Lord shall keep thy soul.
[8]The LORDH3068 shall preserveH8104[H8799] thy going outH3318[H8800] and thy coming inH935[H8800] from this time forth, and even forH5704 evermoreH5769. [8]The Lord shall keep thy coming in, and thy going out, from henceforth and even for ever.
