[[A song of degrees.]]
[1]ᾠδὴ τῶν ἀναβαθμῶν τῷ δαυιδ κύριε οὐχ ὑψώθη μου ἡ καρδία οὐδὲ ἐμετεωρίσθησαν οἱ ὀφθαλμοί μου οὐδὲ ἐπορεύθην ἐν μεγάλοις οὐδὲ ἐν θαυμασίοις ὑπὲρ ἐμέ [1]Out of the deep places have I called unto thee, O Lord.
[2]εἰ μὴ ἐταπεινοφρόνουν ἀλλὰ ὕψωσα τὴν ψυχήν μου ὡς τὸ ἀπογεγαλακτισμένον ἐπὶ τὴν μητέρα αὐτοῦ ὡς ἀνταπόδοσις ἐπὶ τὴν ψυχήν μου [2]Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears attend to the voice of my prayers.
[3]ἐλπισάτω ισραηλ ἐπὶ τὸν κύριον ἀπὸ τοῦ νῦν καὶ ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος [3]If thou, O Lord, straightly markest iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?
4[No verse] [4]But mercy is with thee, that thou mayest be feared.
5[No verse] [5]I have waited on the Lord: my soul hath waited, and I have trusted in his word.
6[No verse] [6]My soul waiteth on the Lord more than the morning watch watcheth for the morning.
7[No verse] [7]Let Israel wait on the Lord: for with the Lord is mercy, and with him is great redemption.
8[No verse] [8]And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
