[[To him that excelleth.] A Psalm Chapter of David.]
[1]The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God: they have corrupted, and done an abominable work: there is none that doeth good. [1]For the Leader. A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart: 'There is no God'; they have dealt corruptly, they have done abominably; there is none that doeth good.
[2]The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that would understand, and seek God. [2]‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ looked forth from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any man of understanding, that did seek after God.
[3]All are gone out of the way: they are all corrupt: there is none that doeth good, no not one. [3]They are all corrupt, they are together become impure; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
[4]Do not all the workers of iniquity know that they eat up my people, as they eat bread? they call not upon the Lord. [4]'Shall not all the workers of iniquity know it, who eat up My people as they eat bread, and call not upon ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎?'
[5]There they shall be taken with fear, because God is in the generation of the just. [5]There are they in great fear; for God is with the righteous generation.
[6]You have made a mock at the counsel of the poor, because the Lord is his trust. [6]Ye would put to shame the counsel of the poor, but ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ is his refuge.
[7]Oh give salvation unto Israel out of Zion: when the Lord turneth the captivity of his people, then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad. [7]Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ turneth the captivity of His people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.
