[1]For the Leader. A Psalm of David. |
[1]The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament showeth the work of his hands. |
[2]The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament showeth His handiwork; |
[2]Day unto day uttereth the same, and night unto night teacheth knowledge. |
[3]Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night revealeth knowledge; |
[3]There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. |
[4]There is no speech, there are no words, neither is their voice heard. |
[4]Their line is gone forth through all the earth, and their words into the ends of the world: in them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun. |
[5]Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath He set a tent for the sun, |
[5]Which cometh forth as a bridegroom out of his chamber, and rejoiceth like a mighty man to run his race. |
[6]Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run his course. |
[6]His going out is from the end of the heaven, and his compass is unto the ends of the same, and none is hid from the heat thereof. |
[7]His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it; and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. |
[7]The Law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the Lord is sure, and giveth wisdom unto the simple. |
[8]The law of 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 is sure, making wise the simple. |
[8]The statutes of the Lord are right and rejoice the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, and giveth light unto the eyes. |
[9]The precepts of 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 are right, rejoicing the hea commandment of 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 is pure, enlightening the eyes. |
[9]The fear of the Lord is clean, and endureth forever: the judgments of the Lord are truth: they are righteous altogether, |
[10]The fear of 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 is clean, enduring for ever; the ordinances of 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 are true, they are righteous altogether; |
[10]And more to be desired then gold, yea, then much fine gold: sweeter also then honey and the honeycomb. |
[11]More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. |
[11]Moreover by them is thy servant made circumspect, and in keeping of them there is great reward. |
[12]Moreover by them is Thy servant warned; in keeping of them there is great reward. |
[12]Who can understand his faults? Cleanse me from secret faults. |
[13]Who can discern his errors? Clear Thou me from hidden faults. |
[13]Keep thy servant also from presumptuous sins: let them not reign over me: so shall I be upright, and made clean from much wickedness. |
[14]Keep back Thy servant also from presumptuous sins, that they may not have dominion over me; then shall I be faultless, and I shall be clear from great transgression. |
[14]Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of mine heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. |
[15]Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable before Thee, O 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇, my Rock, and my Redeemer. |
