[[To him that excelleth.] A Psalm Chapter of David]
[1]For the Leader. A Psalm of David. [1]Blessed is he that judgeth wisely of the poor: the Lord shall deliver him in the time of trouble.
[2]Happy is he that considereth the poor; ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ will deliver him in the day of evil. [2]The Lord will keep him, and preserve him alive: he shall be blessed upon the earth, and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.
[3]‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ preserve him, and keep him alive, let him be called happy in the land; and deliver not Thou him unto the greed of his enemies. [3]The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of sorrow: thou hast turned all his bed in his sickness.
[4]‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ support him upon the bed o illness; mayest Thou turn all his lying down in his sickness. [4]Therefore I said, Lord have mercy upon me: heal my soul, for I have sinned against thee.
[5]As for me, I said: 'O ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎, be gracious unto me; heal my soul; for I have sinned against Thee.' [5]Mine enemies speak evil of me, saying, When shall he die, and his name perish?
[6]Mine enemies speak evil of me: 'When shall he die, and his name perish?' [6]And if he come to see me, he speaketh lies, but his heart heapeth iniquity within him, and when he cometh forth, he telleth it.
[7]And if one come to see me, he speaketh falsehood; his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he speaketh of it. [7]All they that hate me, whisper together against me: even against me do they imagine mine hurt.
[8]All that hate me whispe together against me, against me do they devise my hurt: [8]A mischief is light upon him, and he that lieth, shall no more rise.
[9]'An evil thing cleaveth fast unto him; and now that he lieth, he shall rise up no more.' [9]Yea, my familiar friend, whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up the heel against me.
[10]Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, who did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. [10]Therefore, O Lord, have mercy upon me, and raise me up: so I shall reward them.
[11]But Thou, O ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎, be gracious unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them. [11]By this I know that thou favorest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph against me.
[12]By this I know that Thou delightest in me, that mine enemy doth not triumph over me. [12]And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and dost set me before thy face forever.
[13]And as for me, Thou upholdest me because of mine integrity, and settest me before Thy face for ever. [13]Blessed be the Lord God of Israel world without end. So be it, even so be it.
[14]Blessed be ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎, the God of Israel, from everlasting and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen. 14[No verse]
