[[A Psalm Chapter of Asaph.]]
[1]A PsalmH4210 of AsaphH623. The mightyH410 GodH430, even the LORDH3068, hath spokenH1696[H8765], and calledH7121[H8799] the earthH776 from the risingH4217 of the sunH8121 unto the going down thereofH3996. [1]The God of gods, even the Lord that hath spoken and called the earth from the rising up of the sun unto the going down thereof.
[2]Out of ZionH6726, the perfectionH4359 of beautyH3308, GodH430 hath shinedH3313.[H8689] [2]Out of Zion, which is the perfection of beauty, hath God shined.
[3]Our GodH430 shall comeH935[H8799], and shall not keep silenceH2790[H8799]: a fireH784 shall devourH398[H8799] beforeH6440 him, and it shall be veryH3966 tempestuousH8175[H8738] round about himH5439. [3]Our God shall come and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and a mighty tempest shall be moved round about him.
[4]He shall callH7121[H8799] to the heavensH8064 from aboveH5920, and to the earthH776, that he may judgeH1777[H8800] his peopleH5971. [4]He shall call the heaven above, and the earth to judge his people.
[5]GatherH622[H8798] my saintsH2623 together unto me; those that have madeH3772[H8802] a covenantH1285 with me by sacrificeH2077. [5]Gather my Saints together unto me, those that make a covenant with me with sacrifice.
[6]And the heavensH8064 shall declareH5046[H8686] his righteousnessH6664: for GodH430 is judgeH8199[H8802] himself. SelahH5542. [6]And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.
[7]HearH8085[H8798], O my peopleH5971, and I will speakH1696[H8762]; O IsraelH3478, and I will testifyH5749[H8686] against thee: I am GodH430, even thy GodH430. [7]Hear, O my people, and I will speak: hear, O Israel, and I will testify unto thee: for I am God, even thy God.
[8]I will not reproveH3198[H8686] thee for thy sacrificesH2077 or thy burnt offeringsH5930, to have been continually before meH8548. [8]I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices, or thy burnt offerings, that have not been continually before me.
[9]I will takeH3947[H8799] no bullockH6499 out of thy houseH1004, nor he goatsH6260 out of thy foldsH4356. [9]I will take no bullock out of thine house, nor goats out of thy folds.
[10]For every beastH2416 of the forestH3293 is mine, and the cattleH929 upon a thousandH505 hillsH2042. [10]For all the beasts of the forest are mine, and the beasts on a thousand mountains.
[11]I knowH3045[H8804] all the fowlsH5775 of the mountainsH2022: and the wild beastsH2123 of the fieldH7704 are mineH5978. [11]I know all the fouls on the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
[12]If I were hungryH7456[H8799], I would not tellH559[H8799] thee: for the worldH8398 is mine, and the fulness thereofH4393. [12]If I be hungry, I will not tell thee: for the world is mine, and all that therein is.
[13]Will I eatH398[H8799] the fleshH1320 of bullsH47, or drinkH8354[H8799] the bloodH1818 of goatsH6260? [13]Will I eat the flesh of bulls? Or drink the blood of goats?
[14]OfferH2076[H8798] unto GodH430 thanksgivingH8426; and payH7999[H8761] thy vowsH5088 unto the most HighH5945: [14]Offer unto God praise, and pay thy vows unto the Most High,
[15]And callH7121[H8798] upon me in the dayH3117 of troubleH6869: I will deliverH2502[H8762] thee, and thou shalt glorifyH3513 meH8762. [15]And call upon me in the day of trouble: so will I deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.
[16]But unto the wickedH7563 GodH430 saithH559[H8804], What hast thou to do to declareH5608[H8763] my statutesH2706, or that thou shouldest takeH5375[H8799] my covenantH1285 in thy mouthH6310? [16]But unto the wicked said God, What hast thou to do to declare mine ordinances, that thou shouldest take my covenant in thy mouth,
[17]Seeing thou hatestH8130[H8804] instructionH4148, and castestH7993[H8686] my wordsH1697 behind theeH310. [17]Seeing thou hatest to be reformed, and hast cast my words behind thee?
[18]When thou sawestH7200[H8804] a thiefH1590, then thou consentedstH7521[H8799] with him, and hast been partakerH2506 with adulterersH5003.[H8764] [18]For when thou seest a thief, thou runnest with him, and thou art partaker with the adulterers.
[19]Thou givestH7971[H8804] thy mouthH6310 to evilH7451, and thy tongueH3956 framethH6775[H8686] deceitH4820. [19]Thou givest thy mouth to evil, and with thy tongue thou forgetest deceit.
[20]Thou sittestH3427[H8799] and speakestH1696[H8762] against thy brotherH251; thouH5414[H8799] slanderestH1848 thine own mother'sH517 sonH1121. [20]Thou sittest, and speakest against thy brother, and slanderest thy mother's son.
[21]These things hast thou doneH6213[H8804], and I kept silenceH2790[H8689]; thou thoughtestH1819[H8765] that I was altogetherH1961[H8800] such an one as thyself: but I will reproveH3198[H8686] thee, and set them in orderH6186[H8799] before thine eyesH5869. [21]These things hast thou done, and I held my tongue: therefore thou thoughtest that I was like thee: but I will reprove thee, and set them in order before thee.
[22]Now considerH995[H8798] this, ye that forgetH7911[H8802] GodH433, lest I tear you in piecesH2963[H8799], and there be none to deliverH5337.[H8688] [22]Oh consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none that can deliver you.
[23]Whoso offerethH2076[H8802] praiseH8426 glorifiethH3513[H8762] me: and to him that orderethH7760[H8804] his conversationH1870 aright will I shewH7200[H8686] the salvationH3468 of GodH430. [23]He that offereth praise, shall glorify me: and to him, that disposeth his way aright, will I show the salvation of God.
