[[To him that excelleth.] A Psalm Chapter committed to the sons of Korah.]
[1]To the chief MusicianH5329[H8764], A PsalmH4210 for the sonsH1121 of KorahH7141. LORDH3068, thou hast been favourableH7521[H8804] unto thy landH776: thou hast brought backH7725[H8804] the captivityH7622[H8675][H7622] of JacobH3290. [1]Lord, thou hast been favorable unto thy land: thou hast brought again the captivity of Jacob.
[2]Thou hast forgivenH5375[H8804] the iniquityH5771 of thy peopleH5971, thou hast coveredH3680[H8765] all their sinH2403. SelahH5542. [2]Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, and covered all their sins. Selah.
[3]Thou hast taken awayH622[H8804] all thy wrathH5678: thou hast turnedH7725[H8689] thyself from the fiercenessH2740 of thine angerH639. [3]Thou hast withdrawn all thine anger, and hast turned back from the fierceness of thy wrath.
[4]TurnH7725[H8798] us, O GodH430 of our salvationH3468, and cause thine angerH3708 toward us to ceaseH6565.[H8685] [4]Turn us, O God of our salvation, and release thine anger toward us.
[5]Wilt thou be angryH599[H8799] with us for everH5769? wilt thou draw outH4900[H8799] thine angerH639 to allH1755 generationsH1755? [5]Wilt thou be angry with us forever? And wilt thou prolong thy wrath from one generation to another?
[6]Wilt thou not reviveH2421[H8762] us againH7725[H8799]: that thy peopleH5971 may rejoiceH8055 in theeH8799? [6]Wilt thou not turn again and quicken us, that thy people may rejoice in thee?
[7]ShewH7200[H8685] us thy mercyH2617, O LORDH3068, and grantH5414[H8799] us thy salvationH3468. [7]Show us thy mercy, O Lord, and grant us thy salvation.
[8]I will hearH8085[H8799] what GodH410 the LORDH3068 will speakH1696[H8762]: for he will speakH1696[H8762] peaceH7965 unto his peopleH5971, and to his saintsH2623: but let them not turn againH7725[H8799] to follyH3690. [8]I will hearken what the Lord God will say: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his Saints, that they turn not again to folly.
[9]Surely his salvationH3468 is nighH7138 them that fearH3373 him; that gloryH3519 may dwellH7931[H8800] in our landH776. [9]Surely his salvation is near to them that fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.
[10]MercyH2617 and truthH571 are met togetherH6298[H8738]; righteousnessH6664 and peaceH7965 have kissedH5401 each otherH8804. [10]Mercy and truth shall meet: righteousness and peace shall kiss one another.
[11]TruthH571 shall spring outH6779[H8799] of the earthH776; and righteousnessH6664 shall look downH8259[H8738] from heavenH8064. [11]Truth shall bud out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
[12]Yea, the LORDH3068 shall giveH5414[H8799] that which is goodH2896; and our landH776 shall yieldH5414[H8799] her increaseH2981. [12]Yea, the Lord shall give good things, and our land shall give her increase.
[13]RighteousnessH6664 shall goH1980[H8762] beforeH6440 him; and shall setH7760[H8799] us in the wayH1870 of his stepsH6471. [13]Righteousness shall go before him, and shall set her steps in the way.
