| [1]מכיל לית חיבותא לאילינ דלא מהלכינ בבסר בישׁוע משׁיחא |
[1]There is therefore no condemnation, to them who, in Jesus Messiah, walk not after the flesh. |
| [2]נמוסא גיר דרוחא דחיא דבישׁוע משׁיחא חררכ מנ נמוסא דחטיתא ודמותא |
[2]For the law of the spirit of life, which is in Jesus Messiah, hath emancipated thee from the law of sin and death. |
| [3]מטל דמחיל הוא גיר נמוסא ביד כריהותה דבסרא שׁדר אלהא לברה בדמותא דבסרא דחטיתא מטלתה דחטיתא דנחיביה לחטיתא בבסרה |
[3]Inasmuch as the law was impotent, by means of the weakness of the flesh, God sent his Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin; that He might, in his flesh, condemn sin; |
| [4]דכאנותא דנמוסא בנ תתמלא דלא הוא בבסר מהלכיננ אלא ברוח |
[4]so that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us; since it is not in the flesh that we walk, but in the Spirit. |
| [5]אילינ גיר דבבסר אנונ דבסר הו מתרעינ ואילינ דדרוח אנונ דרוח הו מתרעינ |
[5]For they who are in the flesh, do mind the things of the flesh: and they who are of the Spirit, do mind the things of the Spirit. |
| [6]תרעיתא גיר דבסרא מותא הו ותרעיתא דרוחא חיא ושׁלמא |
[6]For minding the things of the flesh, is death; but minding the things of the Spirit, is life and peace. |
| [7]מטל דתרעיתא דבסרא בעלדבבותא הי לות אלהא לנמוסא גיר דאלהא לא משׁתעבדא מטל דלא משׁכחא |
[7]Because minding the things of the flesh, is enmity towards God: for it doth not subject itself to the law of God, because it is not possible. |
| [8]ואילינ דבבסר אנונ למשׁפר לאלהא לא משׁכחינ |
[8]And they who are in the flesh cannot Please God. |
| [9]אנתונ דינ לא הויתונ בבסר אלא ברוח אנ שׁריראית רוחה דאלהא עמרא בכונ אנ דינ אנשׁ לית בה רוחה דמשׁיחא הנא לא הוא דילה |
[9]Ye, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit; if the Spirit of God truly dwelleth in you. And if in any one there is not the Spirit of Messiah he is none of his. |
| [10]ואנ דינ משׁיחא בכונ פגרא מית הו מטל חטיתא רוחא דינ חיא הי מטל כאנותא |
[10]But if Messiah is in you, the body is dead, in regard to sin; and the Spirit is alive in regard to righteousness. |
| [11]ואנ רוחה דהו מנ דאקימ למרנ ישׁוע משׁיחא מנ בית מיתא עמרא בכונ הו מנ דאקימה לישׁוע משׁיחא מנ בית מיתא אפ לפגריכונ מיתא נחא מטל רוחה דעמרא בכונ |
[11]And if the Spirit of him, who raised our Lord Jesus Messiah from the dead, dwelleth in you; he who raised our Lord Jesus Messiah from the dead, will also vivify your dead bodies, because of his Spirit that dwelleth in you. |
| [12]השׁא אחי חיביננ לו לבסרא דבבסר נהלכ |
[12]Now we are debtors, my Brethren, not to the flesh, that we should walk according to the flesh: |
| [13]אנ גיר בבסר חאינ אנתונ עתידינ אנתונ הו לממת ואנ ברוח הופכי פגרא ממיתינ אנתונ חאינ אנתונ |
[13]- (For if ye live according to the flesh, ye are to die. But if, by the Spirit, ye mortify the practices of the body, ye will live. |
| [14]אילינ גיר דברוחא דאלהא מתדברינ הלינ בניא אנונ דאלהא |
[14]For they who are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God :) |
| [15]לא גיר נסבתונ רוחא דעבדותא תוב לדחלתא אלא נסבתונ רוחא דסימת בניא דבה קריננ אבא אבונ |
[15]For ye have not received the spirit of bondage, again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, by which we cry, Father, our Father. |
| [16]והי רוחא מסהדא לרוחנ דאיתינ בניא דאלהא |
[16]And this Spirit testifieth to our spirit, that we are the sons of God. |
| [17]ואנ בניא אפ ירתא ירתא דאלהא ובני ירתותה דישׁוע משׁיחא דאנ נחשׁ עמה אפ עמה נשׁתבח |
[17]And if sons, then heirs; heirs of God, and participators of the inheritance of Jesus Messiah: so that, if we suffer with him, we shall also be glorified with him. |
| [18]מתרעא אנא גיר דלא שׁוינ חשׁוהי דזבנא הנא לתשׁבוחתא אידא דעתידא דתתגלא בנ |
[18]For I reckon, that the sufferings of the present time, are not comparable with the glory which is to be developed in us. |
| [19]כלה גיר בריתא מסברא ומסכיא לגלינא דבנוהי דאלהא |
[19]For the whole creation is hoping and waiting for the development of the sons of God. |
| [20]בריתא גיר אשׁתעבדת לסריקותא לא בצבינה אלא מטל מנ דשׁעבדה על סברא |
[20]For the creation was subjected to vanity, not by its own choice, but because of him who subjected it, |
| [21]דאפ הי בריתא תתחרר מנ עבדותא דחבלא בחרורא דתשׁבוחתא דבניא דאלהא |
[21]in the hope, that also the creation itself would be emancipated from the bondage of corruption, into the liberty of the glory of the sons of God. |
| [22]ידעיננ גיר דכלהינ בריתא מתתנחנ ומחבלנ עדמא ליומנא |
[22]For we know, that all the creatures are groaning and travailing in pain unto this day. |
| [23]ולא בלחוד הנינ אלא אפ חננ דאית בנ רשׁיתא דרוחא מתתנחיננ בנפשׁנ ומסכיננ לסימת בניא ולפורקנא דפגרינ |
[23]And not only they, but we also in whom are the first fruits of the Spirit, we groan within ourselves, and look anxiously for the adoption of sons, the redemption of our bodies. |
| [24]מטל דבסברא הו חיינ סברא דינ דמתחזא לא הוא סברא אנ גיר חזיננ לה מנא מסכיננ לה |
[24]Because we live in hope. But hope that is seen, is not hope: for if we saw it, how should we hope for it? |
| [25]אנ דינ למדמ דלא מתחזא מסבריננ במסיברנותא מקויננ |
[25]But if we hope for that which is not seen, we are in patient waiting. |
| [26]הכנא אפ הי רוחא מעדרא לכריהותנ מנא גיר נצלא איכ מא דולא לא ידעיננ אלא הי רוחא מצליא חלפינ בתנחתא דלא מתמללנ |
[26]So also the Spirit aideth our weakness. For we know not what to pray for, in a proper manner; but the Spirit prayeth for us, with groans not expressible: |
| [27]דמאשׁ דינ לבותא הו ידע מנא הי תרעיתא דרוחא דאיכ צבינה הו דאלהא מצליא חלפ קדישׁא |
[27]and the explorer of hearts, he knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit; because he prayeth for the saints, agreeably to the good pleasure of God. |
| [28]ידעיננ דינ דאילינ דמחבינ לאלהא בכל מדמ מעדר להונ לטבתא לאילינ דקדמ סמ דנהוונ קריא |
[28]And we know that he aideth him in all things, for good, who love God; them whom he predestined to be called. |
| [29]ומנ לוקדמ ידע אנונ ורשׁמ אנונ בדמותא דצורתא דברה דהו נהוא בוכרא דאחא סגיאא |
[29]And he knew them, previously; and he sealed them with the likeness of the image of his Son; that He might be the first-born of many brothers. |
| [30]לאילינ דינ דקדמ רשׁמ להונ קרא ולאילינ דקרא להונ זדק ולאילינ דזדק להונ שׁבח |
[30]And those whom he previously sealed, them he called: and those whom he called, them he justified: and those whom he justified, them he glorified. |
| [31]מנא הכיל נאמר על הלינ אנ אלהא חלפינ מנו דלקובלנ |
[31]What then shall we say of these things? If God [is] for us; who [is] against us? |
| [32]ואנ על ברה לא חס אלא חלפ כלנ אשׁלמה איכנא לא כל מדמ עמה נתל לנ |
[32]And, if he spared not his Son, but gave him up for us all, how shall he not give us all things, with him? |
| [33]מנו נקבול על גביא דאלהא אלהא מזדק |
[33]Who will set himself against the chosen of God? It is God who justifieth. |
| [34]מנו מחיב משׁיחא מית וקמ ואיתוהי על ימינא דאלהא ובעא חלפינ |
[34]Who is it that condemneth? Messiah died, and arose, and is on the right hand of God, and maketh intercession for us. |
| [35]מנו נפרשׁני מנ חובה דמשׁיחא אולצנא או חבושׁיא או רדופיא או כפנא או ערטליותא או קנדינוס או סיפא |
[35]What will sever me from the love of Messiah? Will affliction? or distress? or persecution? or famine? or nakedness? or peril? or the sword? |
| [36]איכ דכתיב דמטלתכ כליומ מיתיננ ואתחשׁבנ איכ אמרא לנכסתא |
[36]As it is written: For thy sake, we die daily: and, we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. |
| [37]אלא בהלינ כלהינ זכייננ ביד מנ דאחבנ |
[37]But in all these things we are victorious, by means of him who loved us. |
| [38]מפס אנא גיר דלא מותא ולא חיא ולא מלאכא ולא שׁולטנא ולא חילא ולא דקימנ ולא דעתידנ |
[38]For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, |
| [39]ולא רומא ולא עומקא אפלא בריתא אחרתא תשׁכח תפרשׁני מנ חובה דאלהא דבמרנ ישׁוע משׁיחא |
[39]nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, will be able to sever me from the love of God, which is in our Lord Jesus Messiah. |
