| [1]And be charging them that rulers and authorities to obey and to submit and to be ready for every deed good |
[1]Put them in mind that to princes and to powers they are to hearken and to be obedient, and to be prepared for every good work. |
| [2]And against a person not they shall insult neither shall they be contending but they shall be humble and in all things they shall show their sweetness to all of them the children of men |
[2]And against no man to rail, nor be contentious, but gentle, and in every thing to show their benignity towards all men. |
| [3]Also we for from the first without intelligence were and without conviction and deceived we were and servants we were to lusts changing and in wickedness and in envy employed we were and despicable we were also one another hating we were |
[3]For we also were afore-time without understanding, and disobedient and erring, and were subjected to various lusts; and in malice, and in envy we conversed, and were hateful, and also hating one another. |
| [4]When but was revealed His sweetness and the loving kindness of Alaha our Lifegiver |
[4]But when appeared the goodness and mercy of Aloha our Saviour, |
| [5]Not by works of righteousness that we have done but by His love His own He gave us life by the washing of the birth that is from the top and by the renewing of The Spirit of Holiness |
[5]Not by works of righteousness which we had done, but by his own mercy he saved us, by the laving of the birth which is afresh, by the renewing of the Spirit of Holiness, |
| [6]The One whom He poured upon us richly by Ieshu The Messiah our Lifegiver |
[6]Which he shed upon us abundantly, by Jeshu Meshiha our Saviour; |
| [7]That by His grace we would be justified and we would be heirs by hope in Life eternal |
[7]That by his grace we might be justified, and be made heirs according to the hope of the life which is eternal. |
| [8]Trustworthy is the saying and in these things want I that also you to be assuring them that it will be a concern to them to cultivate works good those who have believed in Alaha these things are good and beneficial for children of men |
[8]Faithful is the word; and in this I will that thou also establish them, that they should be careful to perform good works, they who have believed in Aloha. These are good and profitable unto men. |
| [9]From debates but foolish and from tales of genealogies and from contentions and from contests of the scribes abstain profit for there is not in them and worthless these are |
[9]But from foolish disputations, and from tales of genealogies, and from contentions, and strifes of the sophree,ⓘ withdraw; for profit is not in them, and they are vain. |
| [10]From man a heretic from after one time and two admonitions you him avoid |
[10]From an heretical man, after one time and twice thou hast admonished him, withdraw; |
| [11]And be aware that he who is such is perverse is and a sinner and he is condemned of himself |
[11]And know that he who is such is perverse, and sinneth, and condemneth himself. |
| [12]When I have sent to you Artima or Tukiqus let it be a concern to you to come to me to Niqopolis there for I have set my mind to winter |
[12]When I have sent to thee Artema, or Tykikos, be careful to come to me at Nikopolis; for there I have determined in my mind to winter. |
| [13]Concerning Zena but the Scribe and concerning Apollo let it concern you to attend to them well that anything not there will be lacking to them |
[13]But concerning Zina the sophra, and Apolo, be careful to provide them well, that nothing may be wanting to them. |
| [14]And they will teach also those who ours are to be cultivating works good in matters of distress lest they should be without fruit |
[14]And let those also who are of us, learn to perform good works in things which are necessary, that they may not be without fruits. |
| [15]Invoke your peace all of those who with me are invoke the peace of all of them those who love us us in faith grace be with all of you Amen |
[15]All they who are with me ask for thy peace. Ask for the peace of all who love us in the faith. Grace be with all of you. Amen.
