| [1]τεκνία μου, ταῦτα γράφω ὑμῖν ἵνα μὴ ἁμάρτητε. καὶ ἐάν τις ἁμάρτῃ, παράκλητον ἔχομεν πρὸς τὸν πατέρα, ἰησοῦν χριστὸν δίκαιον· |
[1]Children these things write I to you that not you will sin and if a man will sin there is to us The Redeemer from the curse with The Father Ieshu The Messiah The Righteous One |
| [2]καὶ αὐτὸς ἱλασμός ἐστιν περὶ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν ἡμῶν, οὐ περὶ τῶν ἡμετέρων δὲ μόνον ἀλλὰ καὶ περὶ ὅλου τοῦ κόσμου. |
[2]He is for the atonement Who is for the sake of our sins and not in our place ours only but also in the place of all the universe |
| [3]καὶ ἐν τούτῳ γινώσκομεν ὅτι ἐγνώκαμεν αὐτόν, ἐὰν τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ τηρῶμεν. |
[3]And by this we sense that we know Him if we keep His commandments |
| [4]ὁ λέγων ὅτι ἔγνωκα αὐτόν, καὶ τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ μὴ τηρῶν, ψεύστης ἐστίν, καὶ ἐν τούτῳ ἡ ἀλήθεια οὐκ ἔστιν· |
[4]He for who says I know Him and His commandments not keeps lying is and the truth is not in him |
| [5]ὃς δ᾽ ἂν τηρῇ αὐτοῦ τὸν λόγον, ἀληθῶς ἐν τούτῳ ἡ ἀγάπη τοῦ θεοῦ τετελείωται. ἐν τούτῳ γινώσκομεν ὅτι ἐν αὐτῶ ἐσμεν· |
[5]He but who keeps His word in this one is perfected truly the love of Alaha in this for we know that in Him we are |
| [6]ὁ λέγων ἐν αὐτῶ μένειν ὀφείλει καθὼς ἐκεῖνος περιεπάτησεν καὶ αὐτὸς [οὕτως] περιπατεῖν. |
[6]He who says in Him I am it is necessary for him that according to His walking His he should walk |
| [7]ἀγαπητοί, οὐκ ἐντολὴν καινὴν γράφω ὑμῖν, ἀλλ᾽ ἐντολὴν παλαιὰν ἣν εἴχετε ἀπ᾽ ἀρχῆς· ἡ ἐντολὴ ἡ παλαιά ἐστιν ὁ λόγος ὃν ἠκούσατε. |
[7]Beloved ones not a commandment new write I to you but a commandment ancient that which being was to you from the beginning the commandment but old is word that which you have heard |
| [8]πάλιν ἐντολὴν καινὴν γράφω ὑμῖν, ὅ ἐστιν ἀληθὲς ἐν αὐτῶ καὶ ἐν ὑμῖν, ὅτι ἡ σκοτία παράγεται καὶ τὸ φῶς τὸ ἀληθινὸν ἤδη φαίνει. |
[8]Again a commandment new write I to you that which is true in Him and in you for the darkness has passed it the light true begins to appear |
| [9]ὁ λέγων ἐν τῶ φωτὶ εἶναι καὶ τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ μισῶν ἐν τῇ σκοτίᾳ ἐστὶν ἕως ἄρτι. |
[9]Whoever says therefore that he is in the light and hates his brother in darkness is until now |
| [10]ὁ ἀγαπῶν τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ ἐν τῶ φωτὶ μένει, καὶ σκάνδαλον ἐν αὐτῶ οὐκ ἔστιν· |
[10]He but who loves his brother in light dwells and offense there is not in him |
| [11]ὁ δὲ μισῶν τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ σκοτίᾳ ἐστὶν καὶ ἐν τῇ σκοτίᾳ περιπατεῖ, καὶ οὐκ οἶδεν ποῦ ὑπάγει, ὅτι ἡ σκοτία ἐτύφλωσεν τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτοῦ. |
[11]He but who hates his brother in darkness is and in darkness walks and not knows where he goes because the darkness has blinded them his eyes |
| [12]γράφω ὑμῖν, τεκνία, ὅτι ἀφέωνται ὑμῖν αἱ ἁμαρτίαι διὰ τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ. |
[12]Write I to you children that are forgiven to you your sins because of His Name |
| [13]γράφω ὑμῖν, πατέρες, ὅτι ἐγνώκατε τὸν ἀπ᾽ ἀρχῆς. γράφω ὑμῖν, νεανίσκοι, ὅτι νενικήκατε τὸν πονηρόν. |
[13]Write I to you fathers that you have known Him The One Who being was from the beginning write I to you young men that you have conquered him the Evil One I have written to you boys that you have known The Father |
| [14]ἔγραψα ὑμῖν, παιδία, ὅτι ἐγνώκατε τὸν πατέρα. ἔγραψα ὑμῖν, πατέρες, ὅτι ἐγνώκατε τὸν ἀπ᾽ ἀρχῆς. ἔγραψα ὑμῖν, νεανίσκοι, ὅτι ἰσχυροί ἐστε καὶ ὁ λόγος τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν ὑμῖν μένει καὶ νενικήκατε τὸν πονηρόν. |
[14]I have written to you fathers that you have known Him Who is from the beginning I have written to you young men that strong you are and the word of Alaha dwells in you and you have conquered The Evil One |
| [15]μὴ ἀγαπᾶτε τὸν κόσμον μηδὲ τὰ ἐν τῶ κόσμῳ. ἐάν τις ἀγαπᾷ τὸν κόσμον, οὐκ ἔστιν ἡ ἀγάπη τοῦ πατρὸς ἐν αὐτῶ· |
[15]Not love the world neither the things that are in it whoever for loves the world the love of The Father is not in him |
| [16]ὅτι πᾶν τὸ ἐν τῶ κόσμῳ, ἡ ἐπιθυμία τῆς σαρκὸς καὶ ἡ ἐπιθυμία τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν καὶ ἡ ἀλαζονεία τοῦ βίου, οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκ τοῦ πατρὸς ἀλλ᾽ ἐκ τοῦ κόσμου ἐστίν. |
[16]Every thing for that is in it in the world desire the of the body and the lust of the eyes and the pride of temporal life these that not have been from The Father but from it these are from the world |
| [17]καὶ ὁ κόσμος παράγεται καὶ ἡ ἐπιθυμία αὐτοῦ, ὁ δὲ ποιῶν τὸ θέλημα τοῦ θεοῦ μένει εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα. |

| [20]καὶ ὑμεῖς χρῖσμα ἔχετε ἀπὸ τοῦ ἁγίου, καὶ οἴδατε πάντες. |

| [21]οὐκ ἔγραψα ὑμῖν ὅτι οὐκ οἴδατε τὴν ἀλήθειαν, ἀλλ᾽ ὅτι οἴδατε αὐτήν, καὶ ὅτι πᾶν ψεῦδος ἐκ τῆς ἀληθείας οὐκ ἔστιν. |

| [22]τίς ἐστιν ὁ ψεύστης εἰ μὴ ὁ ἀρνούμενος ὅτι ἰησοῦς οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ χριστός; οὖτός ἐστιν ὁ ἀντίχριστος, ὁ ἀρνούμενος τὸν πατέρα καὶ τὸν υἱόν. |

[23]And he who denies The Son also not in The Father believes whoever confesses The Son also The Father confesses |
| [24]ὑμεῖς ὃ ἠκούσατε ἀπ᾽ ἀρχῆς ἐν ὑμῖν μενέτω· ἐὰν ἐν ὑμῖν μείνῃ ὃ ἀπ᾽ ἀρχῆς ἠκούσατε, καὶ ὑμεῖς ἐν τῶ υἱῶ καὶ ἐν τῶ πατρὶ μενεῖτε. |
[24]And you anything that you heard from the first let remain with you if for remains with you that which you heard from the first also you remaining are in The Father and in The Son |
| [25]καὶ αὕτη ἐστὶν ἡ ἐπαγγελία ἣν αὐτὸς ἐπηγγείλατο ἡμῖν, τὴν ζωὴν τὴν αἰώνιον. |
[25]And this is the promise which He has promised us life eternal |
| [26]ταῦτα ἔγραψα ὑμῖν περὶ τῶν πλανώντων ὑμᾶς. |

| [27]καὶ ὑμεῖς τὸ χρῖσμα ὃ ἐλάβετε ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ μένει ἐν ὑμῖν, καὶ οὐ χρείαν ἔχετε ἵνα τις διδάσκῃ ὑμᾶς· ἀλλ᾽ ὡς τὸ αὐτοῦ χρῖσμα διδάσκει ὑμᾶς περὶ πάντων, καὶ ἀληθές ἐστιν καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ψεῦδος, καὶ καθὼς ἐδίδαξεν ὑμᾶς, μένετε ἐν αὐτῶ. |
[27]And also you if will remain with you The Anointing Which you received from Him not need you that anyone will teach you but as The Anointing Who is from Alaha is teaching you about everything and true is and there is not in Him falsehood and as He has taught you abide in Him |
| [28]καὶ νῦν, τεκνία, μένετε ἐν αὐτῶ, ἵνα ἐὰν φανερωθῇ σχῶμεν παρρησίαν καὶ μὴ αἰσχυνθῶμεν ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ παρουσίᾳ αὐτοῦ. |

| [29]ἐὰν εἰδῆτε ὅτι δίκαιός ἐστιν, γινώσκετε ὅτι καὶ πᾶς ὁ ποιῶν τὴν δικαιοσύνην ἐξ αὐτοῦ γεγέννηται. |
