[2]καὶ εἶπον οἱ παῖδες αὐτοῦ ζητησάτωσαν τῷ κυρίῳ ἡμῶν τῷ βασιλεῖ παρθένον νεάνιδα καὶ παραστήσεται τῷ βασιλεῖ καὶ ἔσται αὐτὸν θάλπουσα καὶ κοιμηθήσεται μετ αὐτοῦ καὶ θερμανθήσεται ὁ κύριος ἡμῶν ὁ βασιλεύς |

[11]καὶ εἶπεν ναθαν πρὸς βηρσαβεε μητέρα σαλωμων λέγων οὐκ ἤκουσας ὅτι ἐβασίλευσεν αδωνιας υἱὸς αγγιθ καὶ ὁ κύριος ἡμῶν δαυιδ οὐκ ἔγνω |

[12]καὶ νῦν δεῦρο συμβουλεύσω σοι δὴ συμβουλίαν καὶ ἐξελοῦ τὴν ψυχήν σου καὶ τὴν ψυχὴν τοῦ υἱοῦ σου σαλωμων |

[13]δεῦρο εἴσελθε πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα δαυιδ καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτὸν λέγουσα οὐχὶ σύ κύριέ μου βασιλεῦ ὤμοσας τῇ δούλῃ σου λέγων ὅτι σαλωμων ὁ υἱός σου βασιλεύσει μετ ἐμὲ καὶ αὐτὸς καθιεῖται ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου μου καὶ τί ὅτι ἐβασίλευσεν αδωνιας |

[14]καὶ ἰδοὺ ἔτι λαλούσης σου ἐκεῖ μετὰ τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ἐγὼ εἰσελεύσομαι ὀπίσω σου καὶ πληρώσω τοὺς λόγους σου |

[15]καὶ εἰσῆλθεν βηρσαβεε πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα εἰς τὸ ταμίειον καὶ ὁ βασιλεὺς πρεσβύτης σφόδρα καὶ αβισακ ἡ σωμανῖτις ἦν λειτουργοῦσα τῷ βασιλεῖ |
| [16]And BathshebaH1339 bowedH6915[H8799], and did obeisanceH7812[H8691] unto the kingH4428. And the kingH4428 saidH559, What wouldest thouH8799? |
[16]καὶ ἔκυψεν βηρσαβεε καὶ προσεκύνησεν τῷ βασιλεῖ καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεύς τί ἐστίν σοι |
| [17]And she saidH559[H8799] unto him, My lordH113, thou swarestH7650[H8738] by the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 unto thine handmaidH519, saying, Assuredly SolomonH8010 thy sonH1121 shall reignH4427[H8799] afterH310 me, and he shall sitH3427[H8799] upon my throneH3678. |
[17]ἡ δὲ εἶπεν κύριέ μου βασιλεῦ σὺ ὤμοσας ἐν κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σου τῇ δούλῃ σου λέγων ὅτι σαλωμων ὁ υἱός σου βασιλεύσει μετ ἐμὲ καὶ αὐτὸς καθήσεται ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου μου |
| [18]And now, behold, AdonijahH138 reignethH4427[H8804]; and now, my lordH113 the kingH4428, thou knowestH3045 it notH8804: |
[18]καὶ νῦν ἰδοὺ αδωνιας ἐβασίλευσεν καὶ σύ κύριέ μου βασιλεῦ οὐκ ἔγνως |

[19]καὶ ἐθυσίασεν μόσχους καὶ ἄρνας καὶ πρόβατα εἰς πλῆθος καὶ ἐκάλεσεν πάντας τοὺς υἱοὺς τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ αβιαθαρ τὸν ἱερέα καὶ ιωαβ τὸν ἄρχοντα τῆς δυνάμεως καὶ τὸν σαλωμων τὸν δοῦλόν σου οὐκ ἐκάλεσεν |
| [20]And thou, my lordH113, O kingH4428, the eyesH5869 of all IsraelH3478 are upon thee, that thou shouldest tellH5046[H8687] them who shall sitH3427[H8799] on the throneH3678 of my lordH113 the kingH4428 after himH310. |
[20]καὶ σύ κύριέ μου βασιλεῦ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ παντὸς ισραηλ πρὸς σὲ ἀπαγγεῖλαι αὐτοῖς τίς καθήσεται ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου τοῦ κυρίου μου τοῦ βασιλέως μετ αὐτόν |
| [21]Otherwise it shall come to pass, when my lordH113 the kingH4428 shall sleepH7901[H8800] with his fathersH1, that I and my sonH1121 SolomonH8010 shall be counted offendersH2400. |
[21]καὶ ἔσται ὡς ἂν κοιμηθῇ ὁ κύριός μου ὁ βασιλεὺς μετὰ τῶν πατέρων αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔσομαι ἐγὼ καὶ ὁ υἱός μου σαλωμων ἁμαρτωλοί |
| [22]And, lo, while she yet talkedH1696[H8764] with the kingH4428, NathanH5416 the prophetH5030 also came inH935.[H8804] |
[22]καὶ ἰδοὺ ἔτι αὐτῆς λαλούσης μετὰ τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ναθαν ὁ προφήτης ἦλθεν |
| [23]And they toldH5046[H8686] the kingH4428, sayingH559[H8800], Behold NathanH5416 the prophetH5030. And when he was come inH935[H8799] beforeH6440 the kingH4428, he bowedH7812[H8691] himself before the kingH4428 with his faceH639 to the groundH776. |
[23]καὶ ἀνηγγέλη τῷ βασιλεῖ ἰδοὺ ναθαν ὁ προφήτης καὶ εἰσῆλθεν κατὰ πρόσωπον τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ προσεκύνησεν τῷ βασιλεῖ κατὰ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν |

[24]καὶ εἶπεν ναθαν κύριέ μου βασιλεῦ σὺ εἶπας αδωνιας βασιλεύσει ὀπίσω μου καὶ αὐτὸς καθήσεται ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου μου |
| [25]For he is gone downH3381[H8804] this dayH3117, and hath slainH2076[H8799] oxenH7794 and fat cattleH4806 and sheepH6629 in abundanceH7230, and hath calledH7121[H8799] all the king'sH4428 sonsH1121, and the captainsH8269 of the hostH6635, and AbiatharH54 the priestH3548; and, behold, they eatH398[H8802] and drinkH8354[H8802] beforeH6440 him, and sayH559[H8799], God saveH2421[H8799] kingH4428 AdonijahH138. |
[25]ὅτι κατέβη σήμερον καὶ ἐθυσίασεν μόσχους καὶ ἄρνας καὶ πρόβατα εἰς πλῆθος καὶ ἐκάλεσεν πάντας τοὺς υἱοὺς τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ τοὺς ἄρχοντας τῆς δυνάμεως καὶ αβιαθαρ τὸν ἱερέα καὶ ἰδού εἰσιν ἐσθίοντες καὶ πίνοντες ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ καὶ εἶπαν ζήτω ὁ βασιλεὺς αδωνιας |

[26]καὶ ἐμὲ αὐτὸν τὸν δοῦλόν σου καὶ σαδωκ τὸν ἱερέα καὶ βαναιαν υἱὸν ιωδαε καὶ σαλωμων τὸν δοῦλόν σου οὐκ ἐκάλεσεν |
| [27]Is this thingH1697 doneH1961[H8738] by my lordH113 the kingH4428, and thou hast not shewedH3045[H8689] it unto thy servantH5650, who should sitH3427[H8799] on the throneH3678 of my lordH113 the kingH4428 after himH310? |
[27]εἰ διὰ τοῦ κυρίου μου τοῦ βασιλέως γέγονεν τὸ ῥῆμα τοῦτο καὶ οὐκ ἐγνώρισας τῷ δούλῳ σου τίς καθήσεται ἐπὶ τὸν θρόνον τοῦ κυρίου μου τοῦ βασιλέως μετ αὐτόν |
| [28]Then kingH4428 DavidH1732 answeredH6030[H8799] and saidH559[H8799], CallH7121[H8798] me BathshebaH1339. And she cameH935[H8799] into the king'sH4428 presenceH6440, and stoodH5975[H8799] beforeH6440 the kingH4428. |
[28]καὶ ἀπεκρίθη δαυιδ καὶ εἶπεν καλέσατέ μοι τὴν βηρσαβεε καὶ εἰσῆλθεν ἐνώπιον τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ἔστη ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ |
| [29]And the kingH4428 swareH7650[H8735], and saidH559[H8799], As the LORDH3068 livethH2416, that hath redeemedH6299[H8804] my soulH5315 out of all distressH6869, |
[29]καὶ ὤμοσεν ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ εἶπεν ζῇ κύριος ὃς ἐλυτρώσατο τὴν ψυχήν μου ἐκ πάσης θλίψεως |
| [30]Even as I swareH7650[H8738] unto thee by the LORDH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478, sayingH559[H8800], Assuredly SolomonH8010 thy sonH1121 shall reignH4427[H8799] afterH310 me, and he shall sitH3427[H8799] upon my throneH3678 in my stead; even so will I certainly doH6213[H8799] this dayH3117. |
[30]ὅτι καθὼς ὤμοσά σοι ἐν κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ισραηλ λέγων ὅτι σαλωμων ὁ υἱός σου βασιλεύσει μετ ἐμὲ καὶ αὐτὸς καθήσεται ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου μου ἀντ ἐμοῦ ὅτι οὕτως ποιήσω τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ταύτῃ |

| [32]And kingH4428 DavidH1732 saidH559[H8799], CallH7121[H8798] me ZadokH6659 the priestH3548, and NathanH5416 the prophetH5030, and BenaiahH1141 the sonH1121 of JehoiadaH3077. And they cameH935[H8799] beforeH6440 the kingH4428. |
[32]καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεὺς δαυιδ καλέσατέ μοι σαδωκ τὸν ἱερέα καὶ ναθαν τὸν προφήτην καὶ βαναιαν υἱὸν ιωδαε καὶ εἰσῆλθον ἐνώπιον τοῦ βασιλέως |
| [33]The kingH4428 also saidH559[H8799] unto them, TakeH3947[H8798] with you the servantsH5650 of your lordH113, and cause SolomonH8010 my sonH1121 to rideH7392[H8689] upon mine own muleH6506, and bring him downH3381[H8689] to GihonH1521: |
[33]καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεὺς αὐτοῖς λάβετε τοὺς δούλους τοῦ κυρίου ὑμῶν μεθ ὑμῶν καὶ ἐπιβιβάσατε τὸν υἱόν μου σαλωμων ἐπὶ τὴν ἡμίονον τὴν ἐμὴν καὶ καταγάγετε αὐτὸν εἰς τὸν γιων |
| [34]And let ZadokH6659 the priestH3548 and NathanH5416 the prophetH5030 anointH4886[H8804] him there kingH4428 over IsraelH3478: and blowH8628[H8804] ye with the trumpetH7782, and sayH559[H8804], God saveH2421[H8799] kingH4428 SolomonH8010. |
[34]καὶ χρισάτω αὐτὸν ἐκεῖ σαδωκ ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ ναθαν ὁ προφήτης εἰς βασιλέα ἐπὶ ισραηλ καὶ σαλπίσατε κερατίνῃ καὶ ἐρεῖτε ζήτω ὁ βασιλεὺς σαλωμων |
| [35]Then ye shall come upH5927[H8804] afterH310 him, that he may comeH935[H8804] and sitH3427[H8804] upon my throneH3678; for he shall be kingH4427[H8799] in my stead: and I have appointedH6680[H8765] him to be rulerH5057 over IsraelH3478 and over JudahH3063. |
[35]καὶ καθήσεται ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου μου καὶ αὐτὸς βασιλεύσει ἀντ ἐμοῦ καὶ ἐγὼ ἐνετειλάμην τοῦ εἶναι εἰς ἡγούμενον ἐπὶ ισραηλ καὶ ιουδα |
| [36]And BenaiahH1141 the sonH1121 of JehoiadaH3077 answeredH6030[H8799] the kingH4428, and saidH559[H8799], AmenH543: the LORDH3068 GodH430 of my lordH113 the kingH4428 sayH559 so tooH8799. |
[36]καὶ ἀπεκρίθη βαναιας υἱὸς ιωδαε τῷ βασιλεῖ καὶ εἶπεν γένοιτο οὕτως πιστώσαι κύριος ὁ θεὸς τοῦ κυρίου μου τοῦ βασιλέως |
| [37]As the LORDH3068 hath been with my lordH113 the kingH4428, even so be he with SolomonH8010, and makeH1431 his throneH3678 greaterH1431[H8762] than the throneH3678 of my lordH113 kingH4428 DavidH1732. |
[37]καθὼς ἦν κύριος μετὰ τοῦ κυρίου μου τοῦ βασιλέως οὕτως εἴη μετὰ σαλωμων καὶ μεγαλύναι τὸν θρόνον αὐτοῦ ὑπὲρ τὸν θρόνον τοῦ κυρίου μου τοῦ βασιλέως δαυιδ |
| [38]So ZadokH6659 the priestH3548, and NathanH5416 the prophetH5030, and BenaiahH1141 the sonH1121 of JehoiadaH3077, and the CherethitesH3774, and the PelethitesH6432, went downH3381[H8799], and caused SolomonH8010 to rideH7392[H8686] upon kingH4428 David'sH1732 muleH6506, and broughtH3212[H8686] him to GihonH1521. |
[38]καὶ κατέβη σαδωκ ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ ναθαν ὁ προφήτης καὶ βαναιας υἱὸς ιωδαε καὶ ὁ χερεθθι καὶ ὁ φελεθθι καὶ ἐπεκάθισαν τὸν σαλωμων ἐπὶ τὴν ἡμίονον τοῦ βασιλέως δαυιδ καὶ ἀπήγαγον αὐτὸν εἰς τὸν γιων |
| [39]And ZadokH6659 the priestH3548 tookH3947[H8799] an hornH7161 of oilH8081 out of the tabernacleH168, and anointedH4886[H8799] SolomonH8010. And they blewH8628[H8799] the trumpetH7782; and all the peopleH5971 saidH559[H8799], God saveH2421[H8799] kingH4428 SolomonH8010. |
[39]καὶ ἔλαβεν σαδωκ ὁ ἱερεὺς τὸ κέρας τοῦ ἐλαίου ἐκ τῆς σκηνῆς καὶ ἔχρισεν τὸν σαλωμων καὶ ἐσάλπισεν τῇ κερατίνῃ καὶ εἶπεν πᾶς ὁ λαός ζήτω ὁ βασιλεὺς σαλωμων |
| [40]And all the peopleH5971 came upH5927[H8799] afterH310 him, and the peopleH5971 pipedH2490[H8764] with pipesH2485, and rejoicedH8056 with greatH1419 joyH8057, so that the earthH776 rentH1234[H8735] with the sound of themH6963. |
[40]καὶ ἀνέβη πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐχόρευον ἐν χοροῖς καὶ εὐφραινόμενοι εὐφροσύνην μεγάλην καὶ ἐρράγη ἡ γῆ ἐν τῇ φωνῇ αὐτῶν |

[41]καὶ ἤκουσεν αδωνιας καὶ πάντες οἱ κλητοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ αὐτοὶ συνετέλεσαν φαγεῖν καὶ ἤκουσεν ιωαβ τὴν φωνὴν τῆς κερατίνης καὶ εἶπεν τίς ἡ φωνὴ τῆς πόλεως ἠχούσης |
| [42]And while he yet spakeH1696[H8764], behold, JonathanH3129 the sonH1121 of AbiatharH54 the priestH3548 cameH935[H8804]: and AdonijahH138 saidH559[H8799] unto him, Come inH935[H8798]; for thou art a valiantH2428 manH376[H8676][H381], and bringestH1319 goodH2896 tidingsH1319.[H8762] |
[42]ἔτι αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος καὶ ἰδοὺ ιωναθαν υἱὸς αβιαθαρ τοῦ ἱερέως ἦλθεν καὶ εἶπεν αδωνιας εἴσελθε ὅτι ἀνὴρ δυνάμεως εἶ σύ καὶ ἀγαθὰ εὐαγγέλισαι |
| [43]And JonathanH3129 answeredH6030[H8799] and saidH559[H8799] to AdonijahH138, VerilyH61 our lordH113 kingH4428 DavidH1732 hath made SolomonH8010 kingH4427.[H8689] |
[43]καὶ ἀπεκρίθη ιωναθαν καὶ εἶπεν καὶ μάλα ὁ κύριος ἡμῶν ὁ βασιλεὺς δαυιδ ἐβασίλευσεν τὸν σαλωμων |
| [44]And the kingH4428 hath sentH7971[H8799] with him ZadokH6659 the priestH3548, and NathanH5416 the prophetH5030, and BenaiahH1141 the sonH1121 of JehoiadaH3077, and the CherethitesH3774, and the PelethitesH6432, and they have caused him to rideH7392[H8686] upon the king'sH4428 muleH6506: |
[44]καὶ ἀπέστειλεν ὁ βασιλεὺς μετ αὐτοῦ τὸν σαδωκ τὸν ἱερέα καὶ ναθαν τὸν προφήτην καὶ βαναιαν υἱὸν ιωδαε καὶ τὸν χερεθθι καὶ τὸν φελεθθι καὶ ἐπεκάθισαν αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὴν ἡμίονον τοῦ βασιλέως |
| [45]And ZadokH6659 the priestH3548 and NathanH5416 the prophetH5030 have anointedH4886[H8799] him kingH4428 in GihonH1521: and they are come upH5927[H8799] from thence rejoicingH8056, so that the cityH7151 rang againH1949[H8735]. This is the noiseH6963 that ye have heardH8085.[H8804] |
[45]καὶ ἔχρισαν αὐτὸν σαδωκ ὁ ἱερεὺς καὶ ναθαν ὁ προφήτης εἰς βασιλέα ἐν τῷ γιων καὶ ἀνέβησαν ἐκεῖθεν εὐφραινόμενοι καὶ ἤχησεν ἡ πόλις αὕτη ἡ φωνή ἣν ἠκούσατε |
| [46]And also SolomonH8010 sittethH3427[H8804] on the throneH3678 of the kingdomH4410. |
[46]καὶ ἐκάθισεν σαλωμων ἐπὶ θρόνον τῆς βασιλείας |
| [47]And moreover the king'sH4428 servantsH5650 cameH935[H8804] to blessH1288[H8763] our lordH113 kingH4428 DavidH1732, sayingH559[H8800], GodH430 make the nameH8034 of SolomonH8010 betterH3190[H8686] than thy nameH8034, and makeH1431 his throneH3678 greaterH1431[H8762] than thy throneH3678. And the kingH4428 bowedH7812[H8691] himself upon the bedH4904. |
[47]καὶ εἰσῆλθον οἱ δοῦλοι τοῦ βασιλέως εὐλογῆσαι τὸν κύριον ἡμῶν τὸν βασιλέα δαυιδ λέγοντες ἀγαθύναι ὁ θεὸς τὸ ὄνομα σαλωμων τοῦ υἱοῦ σου ὑπὲρ τὸ ὄνομά σου καὶ μεγαλύναι τὸν θρόνον αὐτοῦ ὑπὲρ τὸν θρόνον σου καὶ προσεκύνησεν ὁ βασιλεὺς ἐπὶ τὴν κοίτην αὐτοῦ |
| [48]And also thus saidH559[H8804] the kingH4428, BlessedH1288[H8803] be the LORDH3068 GodH430 of IsraelH3478, which hath givenH5414[H8804] one to sitH3427[H8802] on my throneH3678 this dayH3117, mine eyesH5869 even seeingH7200 itH8802. |
[48]καί γε οὕτως εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεύς εὐλογητὸς κύριος ὁ θεὸς ισραηλ ὃς ἔδωκεν σήμερον ἐκ τοῦ σπέρματός μου καθήμενον ἐπὶ τοῦ θρόνου μου καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοί μου βλέπουσιν |
| [49]And all the guestsH7121[H8803] that were with AdonijahH138 were afraidH2729[H8799], and rose upH6965[H8799], and wentH3212[H8799] every manH376 his wayH1870. |
[49]καὶ ἐξέστησαν καὶ ἐξανέστησαν πάντες οἱ κλητοὶ τοῦ αδωνιου καὶ ἀπῆλθον ἀνὴρ εἰς τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτοῦ |
| [50]And AdonijahH138 fearedH3372[H8804] becauseH6440 of SolomonH8010, and aroseH6965[H8799], and wentH3212[H8799], and caught holdH2388[H8686] on the hornsH7161 of the altarH4196. |
[50]καὶ αδωνιας ἐφοβήθη ἀπὸ προσώπου σαλωμων καὶ ἀνέστη καὶ ἀπῆλθεν καὶ ἐπελάβετο τῶν κεράτων τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου |
| [51]And it was toldH5046[H8714] SolomonH8010, sayingH559[H8800], Behold, AdonijahH138 fearethH3372[H8804] kingH4428 SolomonH8010: for, lo, he hath caught holdH270[H8804] on the hornsH7161 of the altarH4196, sayingH559[H8800], Let kingH4428 SolomonH8010 swearH7650[H8735] unto me to dayH3117 that he will not slayH4191[H8686] his servantH5650 with the swordH2719. |
[51]καὶ ἀνηγγέλη τῷ σαλωμων λέγοντες ἰδοὺ αδωνιας ἐφοβήθη τὸν βασιλέα σαλωμων καὶ κατέχει τῶν κεράτων τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου λέγων ὀμοσάτω μοι σήμερον ὁ βασιλεὺς σαλωμων εἰ οὐ θανατώσει τὸν δοῦλον αὐτοῦ ἐν ῥομφαίᾳ |
| [52]And SolomonH8010 saidH559[H8799], If he will shew himself a worthyH2428 manH1121, there shall not an hairH8185 of him fallH5307[H8799] to the earthH776: but if wickednessH7451 shall be foundH4672[H8735] in him, he shall dieH4191.[H8804] |
[52]καὶ εἶπεν σαλωμων ἐὰν γένηται εἰς υἱὸν δυνάμεως εἰ πεσεῖται τῶν τριχῶν αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ ἐὰν κακία εὑρεθῇ ἐν αὐτῷ θανατωθήσεται |
| [53]So kingH4428 SolomonH8010 sentH7971[H8799], and they brought him downH3381[H8686] from the altarH4196. And he cameH935[H8799] and bowedH7812[H8691] himself to kingH4428 SolomonH8010: and SolomonH8010 saidH559[H8799] unto him, GoH3212[H8798] to thine houseH1004. |
[53]καὶ ἀπέστειλεν ὁ βασιλεὺς σαλωμων καὶ κατήνεγκεν αὐτὸν ἀπάνωθεν τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου καὶ εἰσῆλθεν καὶ προσεκύνησεν τῷ βασιλεῖ σαλωμων καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ σαλωμων δεῦρο εἰς τὸν οἶκόν σου |
