| [1]וַתִּשְׁלַם֙ כָּל־הַמְּלָאכָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֥ה שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה לְבֵ֣ית יְהוָ֑ה וַיָּבֵ֨א שְׁלֹמֹ֜ה אֶת־קָדְשֵׁ֣י ׀ דָּוִ֣יד אָבִ֗יו וְאֶת־הַכֶּ֤סֶף וְאֶת־הַזָּהָב֙ וְאֶת־כָּל־הַכֵּלִ֔ים נָתַ֕ן בְּאֹצְרֹ֖ות בֵּ֥ית הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ |
[1]Thus all the workH4399 that SolomonH8010 madeH6213[H8804] for the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068 was finishedH7999[H8799]: and SolomonH8010 broughtH935[H8686] in all the thingsH6944 that DavidH1732 his fatherH1 had dedicatedH6944; and the silverH3701, and the goldH2091, and all the instrumentsH3627, putH5414[H8804] he among the treasuresH214 of the houseH1004 of GodH430. |
| [2]אָז֩ יַקְהֵ֨יל שְׁלֹמֹ֜ה אֶת־זִקְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל וְאֶת־כָּל־רָאשֵׁ֨י הַמַּטֹּ֜ות נְשִׂיאֵ֧י הָאָבֹ֛ות לִבְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל אֶל־יְרוּשָׁלִָ֑ם לְֽהַעֲלֹ֞ות אֶת־אֲרֹ֧ון בְּרִית־יְהוָ֛ה מֵעִ֥יר דָּוִ֖יד הִ֥יא צִיֹּֽון׃ |
[2]Then SolomonH8010 assembledH6950[H8686] the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478, and all the headsH7218 of the tribesH4294, the chiefH5387 of the fathersH1 of the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, unto JerusalemH3389, to bring upH5927[H8687] the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of the LORDH3068 out of the cityH5892 of DavidH1732, which is ZionH6726. |
| [3]וַיִּקָּהֲל֧וּ אֶל־הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ כָּל־אִ֥ישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בֶּחָ֑ג ה֖וּא הַחֹ֥דֶשׁ הַשְּׁבִעִֽי׃ |
[3]Wherefore all the menH376 of IsraelH3478 assembledH6950[H8735] themselves unto the kingH4428 in the feastH2282 which was in the seventhH7637 monthH2320. |
| [4]וַיָּבֹ֕אוּ כֹּ֖ל זִקְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיִּשְׂא֥וּ הַלְוִיִּ֖ם אֶת־הָאָרֹֽון׃ |
[4]And all the eldersH2205 of IsraelH3478 cameH935[H8799]; and the LevitesH3881 took upH5375[H8799] the arkH727. |
| [5]וַיַּעֲל֤וּ אֶת־הָאָרֹון֙ וְאֶת־אֹ֣הֶל מֹועֵ֔ד וְאֶת־כָּל־כְּלֵ֥י הַקֹּ֖דֶשׁ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בָּאֹ֑הֶל הֶעֱל֣וּ אֹתָ֔ם הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים הַלְוִיִּֽם׃ |
[5]And they brought upH5927[H8686] the arkH727, and the tabernacleH168 of the congregationH4150, and all the holyH6944 vesselsH3627 that were in the tabernacleH168, these did the priestsH3548 and the LevitesH3881 bring upH5927.[H8689] |
| [6]וְהַמֶּ֣לֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹ֗ה וְכָל־עֲדַ֧ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל הַנֹּועָדִ֥ים עָלָ֖יו לִפְנֵ֣י הָאָרֹ֑ון מְזַבְּחִים֙ צֹ֣אן וּבָקָ֔ר אֲשֶׁ֧ר לֹֽא־יִסָּפְר֛וּ וְלֹ֥א יִמָּנ֖וּ מֵרֹֽב׃ |
[6]Also kingH4428 SolomonH8010, and all the congregationH5712 of IsraelH3478 that were assembledH3259[H8737] unto him beforeH6440 the arkH727, sacrificedH2076[H8764] sheepH6629 and oxenH1241, which could not be toldH5608[H8735] nor numberedH4487[H8735] for multitudeH7230. |
| [7]וַיָּבִ֣יאוּ הַ֠כֹּהֲנִים אֶת־אֲרֹ֨ון בְּרִית־יְהוָ֧ה אֶל־מְקֹומֹ֛ו אֶל־דְּבִ֥יר הַבַּ֖יִת אֶל־קֹ֣דֶשׁ הַקְּדָשִׁ֑ים אֶל־תַּ֖חַת כַּנְפֵ֥י הַכְּרוּבִֽים׃ |
[7]And the priestsH3548 brought inH935[H8686] the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of the LORDH3068 unto his placeH4725, to the oracleH1687 of the houseH1004, into the mostH6944 holyH6944 place, even under the wingsH3671 of the cherubimsH3742: |
| [8]וַיִּהְי֤וּ הַכְּרוּבִים֙ פֹּרְשִׂ֣ים כְּנָפַ֔יִם עַל־מְקֹ֖ום הָאָרֹ֑ון וַיְכַסּ֧וּ הַכְּרוּבִ֛ים עַל־הָאָרֹ֥ון וְעַל־בַּדָּ֖יו מִלְמָֽעְלָה׃ |
[8]For the cherubimsH3742 spread forthH6566[H8802] their wingsH3671 over the placeH4725 of the arkH727, and the cherubimsH3742 coveredH3680[H8762] the arkH727 and the stavesH905 thereof aboveH4605. |
| [9]וַֽיַּאֲרִיכוּ֮ הַבַּדִּים֒ וַיֵּרָאוּ֩ רָאשֵׁ֨י הַבַּדִּ֤ים מִן־הָאָרֹון֙ עַל־פְּנֵ֣י הַדְּבִ֔יר וְלֹ֥א יֵרָא֖וּ הַח֑וּצָה וַֽיְהִי־שָׁ֔ם עַ֖ד הַיֹּ֥ום הַזֶּֽה׃ |
[9]And they drew outH748[H8686] the stavesH905 of the ark, that the endsH7218 of the stavesH905 were seenH7200[H8735] from the arkH727 beforeH6440 the oracleH1687; but they were not seenH7200[H8735] withoutH2351. And there it is unto this dayH3117. |
| [10]אֵ֚ין בָּֽאָרֹ֔ון רַ֚ק שְׁנֵ֣י הַלֻּחֹ֔ות אֲשֶׁר־נָתַ֥ן מֹשֶׁ֖ה בְּחֹרֵ֑ב אֲשֶׁ֨ר כָּרַ֤ת יְהוָה֙ עִם־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל בְּצֵאתָ֖ם מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃ |
[10]There was nothing in the arkH727 save the twoH8147 tablesH3871 which MosesH4872 putH5414[H8804] therein at HorebH2722, when the LORDH3068 madeH3772[H8804] a covenant with the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, when they came outH3318[H8800] of EgyptH4714. |
| [11]וַיְהִ֕י בְּצֵ֥את הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים מִן־הַקֹּ֑דֶשׁ כִּ֠י כָּל־הַכֹּהֲנִ֤ים הַֽנִּמְצְאִים֙ הִתְקַדָּ֔שׁוּ אֵ֖ין לִשְׁמֹ֥ור לְמַחְלְקֹֽות׃ |
[11]And it came to pass, when the priestsH3548 were come outH3318[H8800] of the holyH6944 place: (for all the priestsH3548 that were presentH4672[H8737] were sanctifiedH6942[H8694], and did not then waitH8104[H8800] by courseH4256: |
| [12]וְהַלְוִיִּ֣ם הַמְשֹׁרֲרִ֣ים לְכֻלָּ֡ם לְאָסָ֡ף לְהֵימָ֣ן לִֽ֠ידֻתוּן וְלִבְנֵיהֶ֨ם וְלַאֲחֵיהֶ֜ם מְלֻבָּשִׁ֣ים בּ֗וּץ בִּמְצִלְתַּ֙יִם֙ וּבִנְבָלִ֣ים וְכִנֹּרֹ֔ות עֹמְדִ֖ים מִזְרָ֣ח לַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ וְעִמָּהֶ֤ם כֹּֽהֲנִים֙ לְמֵאָ֣ה וְעֶשְׂרִ֔ים [מַחְצְרִרִים כ] (מַחְצְרִ֖ים ק) בַּחֲצֹֽצְרֹֽות׃ |
[12]Also the LevitesH3881 which were the singersH7891[H8789], all of them of AsaphH623, of HemanH1968, of JeduthunH3038, with their sonsH1121 and their brethrenH251, being arrayedH3847[H8794] in white linenH948, having cymbalsH4700 and psalteriesH5035 and harpsH3658, stoodH5975[H8802] at the east endH4217 of the altarH4196, and with them an hundredH3967 and twentyH6242 priestsH3548 soundingH2690[H8688] with trumpetsH2689:) |
| [13]וַיְהִ֣י כְ֠אֶחָד [לַמַּחֲצֹצְרִים כ] (לַמְחַצְּרִ֨ים ק) וְלַמְשֹֽׁרֲרִ֜ים לְהַשְׁמִ֣יעַ קֹול־אֶחָ֗ד לְהַלֵּ֣ל וּלְהֹדֹות֮ לַיהוָה֒ וּכְהָרִ֣ים קֹ֠ול בַּחֲצֹצְרֹ֨ות וּבִמְצִלְתַּ֜יִם וּבִכְלֵ֣י הַשִּׁ֗יר וּבְהַלֵּ֤ל לַיהוָה֙ כִּ֣י טֹ֔וב כִּ֥י לְעֹולָ֖ם חַסְדֹּ֑ו וְהַבַּ֛יִת מָלֵ֥א עָנָ֖ן בֵּ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃ |
[13]It came even to pass, as the trumpetersH2690[H8764][H8675][H2690][H8764] and singersH7891[H8789] were as oneH259, to make oneH259 soundH6963 to be heardH8085[H8687] in praisingH1984[H8763] and thankingH3034[H8687] the LORDH3068; and when they lifted upH7311[H8687] their voiceH6963 with the trumpetsH2689 and cymbalsH4700 and instrumentsH3627 of musickH7892, and praisedH1984[H8763] the LORDH3068, saying, For he is goodH2896; for his mercyH2617 endureth for everH5769: that then the houseH1004 was filledH4390[H8804] with a cloudH6051, even the houseH1004 of the LORDH3068; |
| [14]וְלֹא־יָֽכְל֧וּ הַכֹּהֲנִ֛ים לַעֲמֹ֥וד לְשָׁרֵ֖ת מִפְּנֵ֣י הֶעָנָ֑ן כִּֽי־מָלֵ֥א כְבֹוד־יְהוָ֖ה אֶת־בֵּ֥ית הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ |
[14]So that the priestsH3548 couldH3201[H8804] not standH5975[H8800] to ministerH8334[H8763] by reasonH6440 of the cloudH6051: for the gloryH3519 of the LORDH3068 had filledH4390[H8804] the houseH1004 of GodH430. |
