[1]דִּבְרֵי עָמֹוס אֲשֶׁר־הָיָה בַנֹּקְדִים מִתְּקֹועַ אֲשֶׁר חָזָה עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל בִּימֵי עֻזִּיָּה מֶלֶךְ־יְהוּדָה וּבִימֵי יָרָבְעָם בֶּן־יֹואָשׁ מֶלֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל שְׁנָתַיִם לִפְנֵי הָרָעַשׁ׃ |
| [2]And he saidH559[H8799], The LORDH3068 will roarH7580[H8799] from ZionH6726, and utterH5414[H8799] his voiceH6963 from JerusalemH3389; and the habitationsH4999 of the shepherdsH7462[H8802] shall mournH56[H8804], and the topH7218 of CarmelH3760 shall witherH3001.[H8804] |
[2]וַיֹּאמַר יְהוָה מִצִּיֹּון יִשְׁאָג וּמִירוּשָׁלִַם יִתֵּן קֹולֹו וְאָבְלוּ נְאֹות הָרֹעִים וְיָבֵשׁ רֹאשׁ הַכַּרְמֶל׃ |
| [3]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068; For threeH7969 transgressionsH6588 of DamascusH1834, and for fourH702, I will not turn awayH7725[H8686] the punishment thereof; because they have threshedH1758[H8800] GileadH1568 with threshing instrumentsH2742 of ironH1270: |
[3]כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה עַל־שְׁלֹשָׁה פִּשְׁעֵי דַמֶּשֶׂק וְעַל־אַרְבָּעָה לֹא אֲשִׁיבֶנּוּ עַל־דּוּשָׁם בַּחֲרֻצֹות הַבַּרְזֶל אֶת־הַגִּלְעָד׃ |
| [4]But I will sendH7971[H8765] a fireH784 into the houseH1004 of HazaelH2371, which shall devourH398[H8804] the palacesH759 of BenhadadH1130. |
[4]וְשִׁלַּחְתִּי אֵשׁ בְּבֵית חֲזָאֵל וְאָכְלָה אַרְמְנֹות בֶּן־הֲדָד׃ |
| [5]I will breakH7665[H8804] also the barH1280 of DamascusH1834, and cut offH3772[H8689] the inhabitantH3427[H8802] from the plainH1237 of AvenH206, and him that holdethH8551[H8802] the sceptreH7626 from the houseH1004 of EdenH5731[H8677][H1040]: and the peopleH5971 of SyriaH758 shall go into captivityH1540[H8804] unto KirH7024, saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068. |
[5]וְשָׁבַרְתִּי בְּרִיחַ דַּמֶּשֶׂק וְהִכְרַתִּי יֹושֵׁב מִבִּקְעַת־אָוֶן וְתֹומֵךְ שֵׁבֶט מִבֵּית עֶדֶן וְגָלוּ עַם־אֲרָם קִירָה אָמַר יְהוָה׃ |
| [6]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068; For threeH7969 transgressionsH6588 of GazaH5804, and for fourH702, I will not turn awayH7725[H8686] the punishment thereof; because they carried away captiveH1540[H8687] the wholeH8003 captivityH1546, to deliver them upH5462[H8687] to EdomH123: |
[6]כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה עַל־שְׁלֹשָׁה פִּשְׁעֵי עַזָּה וְעַל־אַרְבָּעָה לֹא אֲשִׁיבֶנּוּ עַל־הַגְלֹותָם גָּלוּת שְׁלֵמָה לְהַסְגִּיר לֶאֱדֹום׃ |
| [7]But I will sendH7971[H8765] a fireH784 on the wallH2346 of GazaH5804, which shall devourH398[H8804] the palaces thereofH759: |
[7]וְשִׁלַּחְתִּי אֵשׁ בְּחֹומַת עַזָּה וְאָכְלָה אַרְמְנֹתֶיהָ׃ |
| [8]And I will cut offH3772[H8689] the inhabitantH3427[H8802] from AshdodH795, and him that holdethH8551[H8802] the sceptreH7626 from AshkelonH831, and I will turnH7725[H8689] mine handH3027 against EkronH6138: and the remnantH7611 of the PhilistinesH6430 shall perishH6[H8804], saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069. |
[8]וְהִכְרַתִּי יֹושֵׁב מֵאַשְׁדֹּוד וְתֹומֵךְ שֵׁבֶט מֵאַשְׁקְלֹון וַהֲשִׁיבֹותִי יָדִי עַל־עֶקְרֹון וְאָבְדוּ שְׁאֵרִית פְּלִשְׁתִּים אָמַר אֲדֹנָי יְהוִה׃ |
| [9]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068; For threeH7969 transgressionsH6588 of TyrusH6865, and for fourH702, I will not turn awayH7725[H8686] the punishment thereof; because they delivered upH5462[H8687] the wholeH8003 captivityH1546 to EdomH123, and rememberedH2142[H8804] not the brotherlyH251 covenantH1285: |
[9]כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה עַל־שְׁלֹשָׁה פִּשְׁעֵי־צֹר וְעַל־אַרְבָּעָה לֹא אֲשִׁיבֶנּוּ עַל־הַסְגִּירָם גָּלוּת שְׁלֵמָה לֶאֱדֹום וְלֹא זָכְרוּ בְּרִית אַחִים׃ |
| [10]But I will sendH7971[H8765] a fireH784 on the wallH2346 of TyrusH6865, which shall devourH398[H8804] the palaces thereofH759. |
[10]וְשִׁלַּחְתִּי אֵשׁ בְּחֹומַת צֹר וְאָכְלָה אַרְמְנֹתֶיהָ׃ |
| [11]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068; For threeH7969 transgressionsH6588 of EdomH123, and for fourH702, I will not turn awayH7725[H8686] the punishment thereof; because he did pursueH7291[H8800] his brotherH251 with the swordH2719, and did cast offH7843[H8765] all pityH7356, and his angerH639 did tearH2963[H8799] perpetuallyH5703, and he keptH8104[H8804] his wrathH5678 for everH5331: |
[11]כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה עַל־שְׁלֹשָׁה פִּשְׁעֵי אֱדֹום וְעַל־אַרְבָּעָה לֹא אֲשִׁיבֶנּוּ עַל־רָדְפֹו בַחֶרֶב אָחִיו וְשִׁחֵת רַחֲמָיו וַיִּטְרֹף לָעַד אַפֹּו וְעֶבְרָתֹו שְׁמָרָה נֶצַח׃ |
| [12]But I will sendH7971[H8765] a fireH784 upon TemanH8487, which shall devourH398[H8804] the palacesH759 of BozrahH1224. |
[12]וְשִׁלַּחְתִּי אֵשׁ בְּתֵימָן וְאָכְלָה אַרְמְנֹות בָּצְרָה׃ |
| [13]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068; For threeH7969 transgressionsH6588 of the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983, and for fourH702, I will not turn awayH7725[H8686] the punishment thereof; because they have ripped upH1234[H8800] the women with childH2030 of GileadH1568, that they might enlargeH7337[H8687] their borderH1366: |
[13]כֹּה אָמַר יְהוָה עַל־שְׁלֹשָׁה פִּשְׁעֵי בְנֵי־עַמֹּון וְעַל־אַרְבָּעָה לֹא אֲשִׁיבֶנּוּ עַל־בִּקְעָם הָרֹות הַגִּלְעָד לְמַעַן הַרְחִיב אֶת־גְּבוּלָם׃ |
| [14]But I will kindleH3341[H8689] a fireH784 in the wallH2346 of RabbahH7237, and it shall devourH398[H8804] the palacesH759 thereof, with shoutingH8643 in the dayH3117 of battleH4421, with a tempestH5591 in the dayH3117 of the whirlwindH5492: |
[14]וְהִצַּתִּי אֵשׁ בְּחֹומַת רַבָּה וְאָכְלָה אַרְמְנֹותֶיהָ בִּתְרוּעָה בְּיֹום מִלְחָמָה בְּסַעַר בְּיֹום סוּפָה׃ |
| [15]And their kingH4428 shall goH1980[H8804] into captivityH1473, he and his princesH8269 togetherH3162, saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068. |
[15]וְהָלַךְ מַלְכָּם בַּגֹּולָה הוּא וְשָׂרָיו יַחְדָּו אָמַר יְהוָה׃ |
