[1]οι κυριοι το δικαιον και την ισοτητα τοις δουλοις παρεχεσθε ειδοτες οτι και υμεις εχετε κυριον εν ουρανω [1]Ye masters, do unto your servants, that which is just, and equal, knowing that ye also have a master in heaven.
[2]τη προσευχη προσκαρτερειτε γρηγορουντες εν αυτη εν ευχαριστια [2]Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving,
[3]προσευχομενοι αμα και περι ημων ινα ο θεος ανοιξη ημιν θυραν του λογου λαλησαι το μυστηριον του χριστου δι ο και δεδεμαι [3]Praying also for us, that God may open unto us the door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ: wherefore I am also in bonds,
[4]ινα φανερωσω αυτο ως δει με λαλησαι [4]That I may utter it, as it becometh me to speak.
[5]εν σοφια περιπατειτε προς τους εξω τον καιρον εξαγοραζομενοι [5] Walk wisely toward them that are without, and redeem the time.
[6]ο λογος υμων παντοτε εν χαριτι αλατι ηρτυμενος ειδεναι πως δει υμας ενι εκαστω αποκρινεσθαι [6]Let your speech be gracious always, and powdered with salt, that ye may know how to answer every man.
[7]τα κατ εμε παντα γνωρισει υμιν τυχικος ο αγαπητος αδελφος και πιστος διακονος και συνδουλος εν κυριω [7] Tychicus our beloved brother, and faithful minister, and fellow servant in the Lord, shall declare unto you my whole state:
[8]ον επεμψα προς υμας εις αυτο τουτο ινα γνωτε τα περι ημων και παρακαλεση τας καρδιας υμων [8]Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose that he might know your state, and might comfort your hearts,
[9]συν ονησιμω τω πιστω και αγαπητω αδελφω ος εστιν εξ υμων παντα υμιν γνωρισουσιν τα ωδε [9]With Onesimus a faithful and a beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall show you of all things here.
[10]ασπαζεται υμας αρισταρχος ο συναιχμαλωτος μου και μαρκος ο ανεψιος βαρναβα περι ου ελαβετε εντολας εαν ελθη προς υμας δεξασθε αυτον [10]Aristarchus my prison fellow saluteth you, and Marcus, Barnabas sister's son (touching whom ye received commandment, If he come unto you, receive him)
[11]και ιησους ο λεγομενος ιουστος οι οντες εκ περιτομης ουτοι μονοι συνεργοι εις την βασιλειαν του θεου οιτινες εγενηθησαν μοι παρηγορια [11]And Jesus which is called Justus, which are of the circumcision. These only are my workfellows unto the kingdom of God, which have been unto my consolation.
[12]ασπαζεται υμας επαφρας ο εξ υμων δουλος χριστου ιησου [ιησου] παντοτε αγωνιζομενος υπερ υμων εν ταις προσευχαις ινα σταθητε τελειοι και πεπληροφορημενοι εν παντι θεληματι του θεου [12]Epaphras the servant of Christ, which is one of you, saluteth you, and always striveth for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect, and full in all the will of God.
[13]μαρτυρω γαρ αυτω οτι εχει πολυν πονον υπερ υμων και των εν λαοδικεια και των εν ιεραπολει [13]For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and for them of Laodicea, and them of Hierapolis.
[14]ασπαζεται υμας λουκας ο ιατρος ο αγαπητος και δημας [14]Luke the beloved physician greeteth you, and Demas.
[15]ασπασασθε τους εν λαοδικεια αδελφους και νυμφαν και την κατ οικον αυτης εκκλησιαν [15]Salute the brethren which are of Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the Church which is in his house.
[16]και οταν αναγνωσθη παρ υμιν η επιστολη ποιησατε ινα και εν τη λαοδικεων εκκλησια αναγνωσθη και την εκ λαοδικειας ινα και υμεις αναγνωτε [16]And when this Epistle is read of you, cause that it be read in the Church of the Laodiceans also, and that ye likewise read the Epistle written from Laodicea.
[17]και ειπατε αρχιππω βλεπε την διακονιαν ην παρελαβες εν κυριω ινα αυτην πληροις [17]And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry, that thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfill it.
[18]ο ασπασμος τη εμη χειρι παυλου μνημονευετε μου των δεσμων η χαρις μεθ υμων [18]The salutation by the hand of me Paul. Remember my bands. Grace be with you, Amen. Written from Rome to the Colossians, and sent by Tychicus, and Onesimus.
