| [1]את כל הדבר אשר אנכי מצוה אתכם־אתו תשמרו לעשות לא תסף עליו ולא תגרע ממנו |

| [2]כי יקום בקרבך נביא או חלם חלום ונתן אליך אות או מופת |
[2]And the signH226 or the wonderH4159 come to passH935[H8804], whereof he spakeH1696[H8765] unto thee, sayingH559[H8800], Let us goH3212[H8799] afterH310 otherH312 godsH430, which thou hast not knownH3045[H8804], and let us serveH5647 themH8714; |
| [3]ובא האות והמופת אשר דבר אליך לאמר נלכה אחרי אלהים אחרים אשר לא ידעתם־ונעבדם |
[3]Thou shalt not hearkenH8085[H8799] unto the wordsH1697 of that prophetH5030, or that dreamerH2492[H8802] of dreamsH2472: for the LORDH3068 your GodH430 provethH5254[H8764] you, to knowH3045[H8800] whether yeH3426 loveH157[H8802] the LORDH3068 your GodH430 with all your heartH3824 and with all your soulH5315. |
| [4]לא תשמע אל דברי הנביא ההוא או אל חולם החלום ההוא כי מנסה יהוה אלהיכם אתכם לדעת הישכם אהבים את יהוה אלהיכם בכל לבבכם ובכל נפשכם |
[4]Ye shall walkH3212[H8799] afterH310 the LORDH3068 your GodH430, and fearH3372[H8799] him, and keepH8104[H8799] his commandmentsH4687, and obeyH8085[H8799] his voiceH6963, and ye shall serveH5647[H8799] him, and cleaveH1692 unto himH8799. |
| [5]אחרי יהוה אלהיכם תלכו ואתו תיראו ואת מצותיו תשמרו ובקלו תשמעו ואתו תעבדו ובו תדבקון |
[5]And that prophetH5030, or that dreamerH2492[H8802] of dreamsH2472, shall be put to deathH4191[H8714]; because he hath spokenH1696[H8765] to turnH5627 you away from the LORDH3068 your GodH430, which brought you outH3318[H8688] of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, and redeemedH6299[H8802] you out of the houseH1004 of bondageH5650, to thrustH5080[H8687] thee out of the wayH1870 which the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 commandedH6680[H8765] thee to walk inH3212[H8800]. So shalt thou putH1197 the evilH7451 awayH1197[H8765] from the midst of theeH7130. |
| [6]והנביא ההוא או חלם החלום ההוא יומת כי דבר סרה על יהוה אלהיכם המוציא אתכם מארץ מצרים והפדך מבית עבדים־להדיחך מן הדרך אשר צוך יהוה אלהיך ללכת בה ובערת הרע מקרבך |
[6]If thy brotherH251, the sonH1121 of thy motherH517, or thy sonH1121, or thy daughterH1323, or the wifeH802 of thy bosomH2436, or thy friendH7453, which is as thine own soulH5315, enticeH5496[H8686] thee secretlyH5643, sayingH559[H8800], Let us goH3212[H8799] and serveH5647[H8799] otherH312 godsH430, which thou hast not knownH3045[H8804], thou, nor thy fathersH1; |
| [7]כי יסיתך אחיך בן אמך או בנך או בתך או אשת חיקך או רעך אשר כנפשך־בסתר לאמר נלכה ונעבדה אלהים אחרים אשר לא ידעת אתה ואבתיך |
[7]Namely, of the godsH430 of the peopleH5971 which are round aboutH5439 you, nighH7138 unto thee, or far offH7350 from thee, from the one endH7097 of the earthH776 even unto the other endH7097 of the earthH776; |
| [8]מאלהי העמים אשר סביבתיכם הקרבים אליך או הרחקים ממך־מקצה הארץ ועד קצה הארץ |
[8]Thou shalt not consentH14[H8799] unto him, nor hearkenH8085[H8799] unto him; neither shall thine eyeH5869 pityH2347[H8799] him, neither shalt thou spareH2550[H8799], neither shalt thou concealH3680 himH8762: |
| [9]לא תאבה לו ולא תשמע אליו ולא תחוס עינך עליו ולא תחמל ולא תכסה עליו |
[9]But thou shalt surelyH2026[H8800] killH2026[H8799] him; thine handH3027 shall be firstH7223 upon him to put him to deathH4191[H8687], and afterwardsH314 the handH3027 of all the peopleH5971. |
| [10]כי הרג תהרגנו ידך תהיה בו בראשונה להמיתו ויד כל העם באחרנה |
[10]And thou shalt stoneH5619[H8804] him with stonesH68, that he dieH4191[H8804]; because he hath soughtH1245[H8765] to thrust thee awayH5080[H8687] from the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, which brought thee outH3318[H8688] of the landH776 of EgyptH4714, from the houseH1004 of bondageH5650. |
| [11]וסקלתו באבנים ומת כי בקש להדיחך מעל יהוה אלהיך המוציאך מארץ מצרים מבית עבדים |
[11]And all IsraelH3478 shall hearH8085[H8799], and fearH3372[H8799], and shall doH6213[H8800] no moreH3254[H8686] anyH1697 such wickednessH7451 as this is among youH7130. |
| [12]וכל ישראל־ישמעו ויראון ולא יוספו לעשות כדבר הרע הזה־בקרבך |
[12]If thou shalt hearH8085[H8799] say in oneH259 of thy citiesH5892, which the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 hath givenH5414[H8802] thee to dwellH3427[H8800] there, sayingH559,[H8800] |
| [13]כי תשמע באחת עריך אשר יהוה אלהיך נתן לך לשבת שם־לאמר |
[13]Certain menH582, the childrenH1121 of BelialH1100, are gone outH3318[H8804] from amongH7130 you, and have withdrawnH5080[H8686] the inhabitantsH3427[H8802] of their cityH5892, sayingH559[H8800], Let us goH3212[H8799] and serveH5647[H8799] otherH312 godsH430, H3045which ye have not knownH8804 |
| [14]יצאו אנשים בני בליעל מקרבך וידיחו את ישבי עירם לאמר נלכה ונעבדה אלהים אחרים־אשר לא ידעתם |
[14]Then shalt thou enquireH1875[H8804], and make searchH2713[H8804], and askH7592[H8804] diligentlyH3190[H8687]; and, behold, if it be truthH571, and the thingH1697 certainH3559[H8737], that suchH2063 abominationH8441 is wroughtH6213[H8738] among youH7130; |
| [15]ודרשת וחקרת ושאלת היטב והנה אמת נכון הדבר נעשתה התועבה הזאת בקרבך |
[15]Thou shalt surelyH5221[H8687] smiteH5221[H8686] the inhabitantsH3427[H8802] of that cityH5892 with the edgeH6310 of the swordH2719, destroying it utterlyH2763[H8685], and all that is therein, and the cattleH929 thereof, with the edgeH6310 of the swordH2719. |
| [16]הכה תכה את ישבי העיר ההוא־לפי חרב החרם אתה ואת כל אשר בה ואת בהמתה לפי חרב |
[16]And thou shalt gatherH6908[H8799] all the spoilH7998 of it into the midstH8432 of the streetH7339 thereof, and shalt burnH8313[H8804] with fireH784 the cityH5892, and all the spoilH7998 thereof every whitH3632, for the LORDH3068 thy GodH430: and it shall be an heapH8510 for everH5769; it shall not be built againH1129.[H8735] |
| [17]ואת כל שללה תקבץ אל תוך רחבה ושרפת באש את העיר ואת כל שללה כליל ליהוה אלהיך והיתה תל עולם לא תבנה עוד |
[17]And there shall cleaveH1692[H8799] noughtH3972 of the cursed thingH2764 to thine handH3027: that the LORDH3068 may turnH7725[H8799] from the fiercenessH2740 of his angerH639, and shewH5414[H8804] thee mercyH7356, and have compassionH7355[H8765] upon thee, and multiplyH7235[H8689] thee, as he hath swornH7650[H8738] unto thy fathersH1; |
| [18]ולא ידבק בידך מאומה מן החרם־למען ישוב יהוה מחרון אפו ונתן לך רחמים ורחמך והרבך כאשר נשבע לאבתיך |
[18]When thou shalt hearkenH8085[H8799] to the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, to keepH8104[H8800] all his commandmentsH4687 which I commandH6680[H8764] thee this dayH3117, to doH6213[H8800] that which is rightH3477 in the eyesH5869 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430. |
| [19]כי תשמע בקול יהוה אלהיך לשמר את כל מצותיו אשר אנכי מצוך היום־לעשות הישר בעיני יהוה אלהיך |
