[1]When 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 thy God shall cut off the nations, whose land 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 thy God giveth thee, and thou dost succeed them, and dwell in their cities, and in their houses; |

[2]Thou shalt separate three cities for thee in the midst of thy land, which 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 thy 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 giveth thee to possess it. |
| [3]στοχάζωVA-AAN σύRP-DS ὁRA-ASF ὁδόςN2-ASF καίC τριμερίζωVF-FAI2S ὁRA-APN ὅριονN2N-APN ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF σύRP-GS ὅςRR-ASF καταμερίζωV1-PAI3S σύRP-DS κύριοςN2-NSM ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S καταφυγήN1-NSF ἐκεῖD πᾶςA3-DSM φονευτήςN1M-DSM |
[3]Thou shalt prepare thee the way, and divide the borders of thy land, which 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 thy God causeth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every manslayer may flee thither. |
| [4]οὗτοςRD-ASN δέX εἰμίVF-FMI3S ὁRA-ASN πρόσταγμαN3M-ASN ὁRA-GSM φονευτήςN1M-GSM ὅςRR-NSM ἄνX φεύγωVB-AAS3S ἐκεῖD καίC ζάωVF-FMI3S ὅςRR-NSM ἄνX πατάσσωVA-AAS3S ὁRA-ASM πλησίονD αὐτόςRD-GSM ἀκουσίωςD καίC οὗτοςRD-NSM οὐD μισέωV2-PAPNSM αὐτόςRD-ASM πρόP ὁRA-GSF χθέςD καίC πρόP ὁRA-GSF τρίτοςA1-GSF |
[4]And this is the case of the manslayer, that shall flee thither and live: whoso killeth his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in time past; |
| [5]καίC ὅςRR-NSM ἄνX εἰςἔρχομαιVB-AAS3S μετάP ὁRA-GSM πλησίονD εἰςP ὁRA-ASM δρυμόςN2-ASM συνἄγωVB-AAN ξύλονN2N-APN καίC ἐκκρούωVS-APS3S ὁRA-NSF χείρN3-NSF αὐτόςRD-GSM ὁRA-DSF ἀξίνηN1-ASF κόπτωV1-PAPGSM ὁRA-ASN ξύλονN2N-ASN καίC ἐκπίπτωVF-FAPASN ὁRA-ASN σιδήριονN2N-ASN ἀπόP ὁRA-GSN ξύλονN2N-GSN τύχηN1-DSF ὁRA-GSM πλησίονD καίC ἀποθνήσκωVB-AAS3S οὗτοςRD-NSM καταφεύγωVF-FMI3S εἰςP εἷςA1A-ASF ὁRA-GPF πόλιςN3I-GPF οὗτοςRD-GPF καίC ζάωVF-FMI3S |
[5]As when a man goeth into the forest with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall flee unto one of these cities and live; |
| [6]ἵναC μήD διώκωVA-AAPNSM ὁRA-NSM ἀγχιστεύωV1-PAPNSM ὁRA-GSN αἷμαN3M-GSN ὀπίσωP ὁRA-GSM φονεύωVA-AAPGSM ὅτιC παραθερμαίνωVX-XMI3P ὁRA-DSF καρδίαN1A-DSF καίC καταλαμβάνωVB-AAS3S αὐτόςRD-ASM ἐάνC μακρόςA1A-NSF εἰμίV9-PAS3S ὁRA-NSF ὁδόςN2-NSF καίC πατάσσωVA-AAS3S αὐτόςRD-GSM ὁRA-ASF ψυχήN1-ASF καίC ἀποθνήσκωVB-AAS3S καίC οὗτοςRD-DSM οὐD εἰμίV9-PAI3S κρίσιςN3I-NSF θάνατοςN2-GSM ὅτιC οὐD μισέωV2-PAPNSM εἰμίV9-IAI3S αὐτόςRD-ASM πρόP ὁRA-GSF χθέςD καίC πρόP ὁRA-GSF τρίτοςA1-GSF |
[6]Lest the avenger of blood pursue the manslayer, while his heart is hot, and overtake him, because the way is long, and smite him mortally; whereas he was not deserving of death, inasmuch as he hated him not in time past. |

[7]Wherefore I command thee, saying: 'Thou shalt separate three cities for thee.' |
| [8]ἐάνC δέX ἐνπλατύνωV1-PAS3S κύριοςN2-NSM ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS ὁRA-APN ὅριονN2N-APN σύRP-GS ὅςRR-ASM τρόποςN2-ASM ὄμνυμιVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-DPM πατήρN3-DPM σύRP-GS καίC δίδωμιVO-AAS3S σύRP-DS κύριοςN2-NSM πᾶςA1S-ASF ὁRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF ὅςRR-ASF εἶπονVBI-AAI3S δίδωμιVO-AAN ὁRA-DPM πατήρN3-DPM σύRP-GS |
[8]And if 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 thy God enlarge thy border, as He hath sworn unto thy fathers, and give thee all the land which He promised to give unto thy fathers— |
| [9]ἐάνC ἀκούωVA-AAS2S ποιέωV2-PAN πᾶςA1S-APF ὁRA-APF ἐντολήN1A-APF οὗτοςRD-APF ὅςRR-APF ἐγώRP-NS ἐντέλλομαιV1-PMI1S σύRP-DS σήμερονD ἀγαπάωV3-PAN κύριοςN2-ASM ὁRA-ASM θεόςN2-ASM σύRP-GS πορεύομαιV1-PMN ἐνP πᾶςA1S-DPF ὁRA-DPF ὁδόςN2-DPF αὐτόςRD-GSM πᾶςA1S-APF ὁRA-APF ἡμέραN1A-APF καίC προςτίθημιVF-FAI2S σεαυτοῦRD-DSM ἔτιD τρεῖςA3-NPF πόλιςN3I-NPF πρόςP ὁRA-APF τρεῖςA3-APF οὗτοςRD-APF |
[9]If thou shalt keep all this commandment to do it, which I command thee this day, to love 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 thy God, and to walk ever in His ways—then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three; |
| [10]καίC οὐD ἐκχέωVC-FPI3S αἷμαN3M-ASN ἀναίτιοςA1A-ASN ἐνP ὁRA-DSF γῆN1-DSF σύRP-GS ὅςRR-DSF κύριοςN2-NSM ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS δίδωμιV8-PAI3S σύRP-DS ἐνP κλῆροςN2-DSM καίC οὐD εἰμίVF-FMI3S ἐνP σύRP-DS αἷμαN3M-DSN ἔνοχοςA1B-NSM |
[10]That innocent blood be not shed in the midst of thy land, which 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 thy God giveth thee for an inheritance, and so blood be upon thee. |
| [11]ἐάνC δέX γίγνομαιVB-AMS3S ἄνθρωποςN2-NSM μισέωV2-PAPNSM ὁRA-ASM πλησίονD καίC ἐνεδρεύωVF-FMI2S αὐτόςRD-ASM καίC ἐπι ἀναἵστημιVH-AAS3S ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-ASM καίC πατάσσωVA-AAS3S αὐτόςRD-GSM ψυχήN1-ASF καίC ἀποθνήσκωVB-AAS3S καίC φεύγωVB-AAS3S εἰςP εἷςA1A-ASF ὁRA-GPF πόλιςN3I-GPF οὗτοςRD-GPF |
[11]But if any man hate his neighbour, and lie in wait for him, and rise up against him, and smite him mortally that he die; and he flee into one of these cities; |
| [12]καίC ἀποστέλλωVF2-FAI3P ὁRA-NSF γερουσίαN1A-NSF ὁRA-GSF πόλιςN3I-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC λαμβάνωVF-FMI3P αὐτόςRD-ASM ἐκεῖθενD καίC παραδίδωμιVF-FAI3P αὐτόςRD-ASM εἰςP χείρN3-APF ὁRA-DSM ἀγχιστεύωV1-PAPDSM ὁRA-GSN αἷμαN3M-GSN καίC ἀποθνήσκωVF2-FMI3S |
[12]Then the elders of his city shall send and fetch him thence, and deliver him into the hand of the avenger of blood, that he may die. |
| [13]οὐD φείδομαιVF-FMI3S ὁRA-NSM ὀφθαλμόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-DSM καίC καθαρίζωVF2-FAI2S ὁRA-ASN αἷμαN3M-ASN ὁRA-ASN ἀναίτιοςA1A-ASN ἐκP *ἰσραήλN--ASM καίC εὖD σύRP-DS εἰμίVF-FMI3S |
[13]Thine eye shall not pity him, but thou shalt put away the blood of the innocent from Israel, that it may go well with thee. |
| [14]οὐD μετακινέωVF-FAI2S ὅριονN2N-APN ὁRA-GSM πλησίονD σύRP-GS ὅςRR-APN ἵστημιVAI-AAI3P ὁRA-NPM πατήρN3-NPM σύRP-GS ἐνP ὁRA-DSF κληρονομίαN1A-DSF σύRP-GS ὅςRR-DSF κατακληρονομέωVCI-API2S ἐνP ὁRA-DSF γῆN1-DSF ὅςRR-DSF κύριοςN2-NSM ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS δίδωμιV8-PAI3S σύRP-DS ἐνP κλῆροςN2-DSM |
[14]Thou shalt not remove thy neighbour's landmark, which they of old time have set, in thine inheritance which thou shalt inherit, in the land that 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 thy God giveth thee to possess it. |
| [15]οὐD ἐνμένωVF2-FAI3S μάρτυςN3-NSM εἷςA3-NSM μαρτυρέωVA-AAN κατάP ἄνθρωποςN2-GSM κατάP πᾶςA1S-ASF ἀδικίαN1A-ASF καίC κατάP πᾶςA3-ASN ἁμάρτημαN3M-ASN καίC κατάP πᾶςA1S-ASF ἁμαρτίαN1A-ASF ὅςRR-ASF ἄνX ἁμαρτάνωVB-AAS3S ἐπίP στόμαN3M-GSN δύοM μάρτυςN3-GPM καίC ἐπίP στόμαN3M-GSN τρεῖςA3-GPM μάρτυςN3-GPM ἵστημιVC-FPI3S πᾶςA3-ASN ῥῆμαN3M-ASN |
[15]One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth; at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall a matter be establishment |
| [16]ἐάνC δέX καταἵστημιVH-AAS3S μάρτυςN3-NSM ἄδικοςA1B-NSM κατάP ἄνθρωποςN2-GSM καταλέγωV1-PAPNSM αὐτόςRD-GSM ἀσέβειαN1A-ASF |
[16]If an unrighteous witness rise up against any man to bear perverted witness against him; |
| [17]καίC ἵστημιVF-FMI3P ὁRA-NPM δύοM ἄνθρωποςN2-NPM ὅςRR-DPM εἰμίV9-PAI3S αὐτόςRD-DPM ὁRA-NSF ἀντιλογίαN1A-NSF ἔναντιP κύριοςN2-GSM καίC ἔναντιP ὁRA-GPM ἱερεύςN3V-GPM καίC ἔναντιP ὁRA-GPM κριτήςN1M-GPM ὅςRR-NPM ἐάνC εἰμίV9-PAS3P ἐνP ὁRA-DPF ἡμέραN1A-DPF ἐκεῖνοςRD-DPF |
[17]Then both the men, between whom the controversy is, shall stand before 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇, before the priests and the judges that shall be in those days. |
| [18]καίC ἐκἐτάζωVA-AAS3P ὁRA-NPM κριτήςN1M-NPM ἀκριβῶςD καίC ἰδούI μάρτυςN3-NSM ἄδικοςA1B-NSM μαρτυρέωVAI-AAI3S ἄδικοςA1B-APN ἀντιἵστημιVHI-AAI3S κατάP ὁRA-GSM ἀδελφόςN2-GSM αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[18]And the judges shall inquire diligently; and, behold, if the witness be a false witness, and hath testified falsely against his brother; |
| [19]καίC ποιέωVF-FAI2P αὐτόςRD-DSM ὅςRR-ASM τρόποςN2-ASM πονηρεύομαιVAI-AMI3S ποιέωVA-AAN κατάP ὁRA-GSM ἀδελφόςN2-GSM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ἐκαἴρωVF2-FAI2S ὁRA-ASM πονηρόςA1A-ASM ἐκP σύRP-GP αὐτόςRD-GPM |
[19]Then shall ye do unto him, as he had purposed to do unto his brother; so shalt thou put away the evil from the midst of thee. |
| [20]καίC ὁRA-NPM ἐπίλοιποςA1B-NPM ἀκούωVA-AAPNPM φοβέωVC-FPI3P καίC οὐD προςτίθημιVF-FAI3P ἔτιD ποιέωVA-AAN κατάP ὁRA-ASN ῥῆμαN3M-ASN ὁRA-ASN πονηρόςA1A-ASN οὗτοςRD-ASN ἐνP σύRP-DP |
[20]And those that remain shall hear, and fear, and shall henceforth commit no more any such evil in the midst of thee. |
| [21]οὐD φείδομαιVF-FMI3S ὁRA-NSM ὀφθαλμόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-DSM ψυχήN1-ASF ἀντίP ψυχήN1-GSF ὀφθαλμόςN2-ASM ἀντίP ὀφθαλμόςN2-GSM ὀδούςN3T-ASM ἀντίP ὀδούςN3T-ASM χείρN3-ASF ἀντίP χείρN3-GSF πούςN3D-ASM ἀντίP πούςN3D-GSM |
[21]And thine eye shall not pity: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot. |
