|
[1]And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearkenH8085[H8799] diligentlyH8085[H8800] unto the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, to observeH8104[H8800] and to doH6213[H8800] all his commandmentsH4687 which I commandH6680[H8764] thee this dayH3117, that the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 will setH5414[H8804] thee on highH5945 above all nationsH1471 of the earthH776: |
[1]If thou shalt obey diligently the voice of the Lord thy God, and observe and do all his commandments, which I command thee this day, then the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all the nations of the earth. |
[2]And all these blessingsH1293 shall comeH935[H8804] on thee, and overtakeH5381[H8689] thee, if thou shalt hearkenH8085[H8799] unto the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430. |
[2]And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt obey the voice of the Lord thy God. |
[3]BlessedH1288[H8803] shalt thou be in the cityH5892, and blessedH1288[H8803] shalt thou be in the fieldH7704. |
[3]Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed also in the field. |
[4]BlessedH1288[H8803] shall be the fruitH6529 of thy bodyH990, and the fruitH6529 of thy groundH127, and the fruitH6529 of thy cattleH929, the increaseH7698 of thy kineH504, and the flocksH6251 of thy sheepH6629. |
[4]Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. |
[5]BlessedH1288[H8803] shall be thy basketH2935 and thy storeH4863. |
[5]Blessed shall be thy basket and thy dough. |
[6]BlessedH1288[H8803] shalt thou be when thou comest inH935[H8800], and blessedH1288[H8803] shalt thou be when thou goest outH3318.[H8800] |
[6]Blessed shalt thou be, when thou comest in, and blessed also when thou goest out. |
[7]The LORDH3068 shall causeH5414[H8799] thine enemiesH341[H8802] that rise upH6965[H8801] against thee to be smittenH5062[H8737] before thy faceH6440: they shall come outH3318[H8799] against thee oneH259 wayH1870, and fleeH5127[H8799] beforeH6440 thee sevenH7651 waysH1870. |
[7]The Lord shall cause thine enemies that rise against thee, to fall before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and shall flee before thee seven ways. |
[8]The LORDH3068 shall commandH6680[H8762] the blessingH1293 upon thee in thy storehousesH618, and in all that thou settestH4916 thine handH3027 unto; and he shall blessH1288[H8765] thee in the landH776 which the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 givethH5414 theeH8802. |
[8]The Lord shall command the blessing to be with thee in thy store houses, and in all that thou settest thine hand to, and will bless thee in the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee. |
[9]The LORDH3068 shall establishH6965[H8686] thee an holyH6918 peopleH5971 unto himself, as he hath swornH7650[H8738] unto thee, if thou shalt keepH8104[H8799] the commandmentsH4687 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, and walkH1980[H8804] in his waysH1870. |
[9]The Lord shall make thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways. |
[10]And all peopleH5971 of the earthH776 shall seeH7200[H8804] that thou art calledH7121[H8738] by the nameH8034 of the LORDH3068; and they shall be afraidH3372 of theeH8804. |
[10]Then all people of the earth shall see that the name of the Lord is called upon over thee, and they shall be afraid of thee. |
[11]And the LORDH3068 shall make thee plenteousH3498[H8689] in goodsH2896, in the fruitH6529 of thy bodyH990, and in the fruitH6529 of thy cattleH929, and in the fruitH6529 of thy groundH127, in the landH127 which the LORDH3068 swareH7650[H8738] unto thy fathersH1 to giveH5414 theeH8800. |
[11]And the Lord shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the Lord swear unto thy fathers, to give thee. |
[12]The LORDH3068 shall openH6605[H8799] unto thee his goodH2896 treasureH214, the heavenH8064 to giveH5414[H8800] the rainH4306 unto thy landH776 in his seasonH6256, and to blessH1288[H8763] all the workH4639 of thine handH3027: and thou shalt lendH3867[H8689] unto manyH7227 nationsH1471, and thou shalt not borrowH3867.[H8799] |
[12]The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, even the heaven to give rain unto thy land in due season, and to bless all the work of thine hands: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but shalt not borrow thyself. |
[13]And the LORDH3068 shall makeH5414[H8804] thee the headH7218, and not the tailH2180; and thou shalt be above onlyH4605, and thou shalt not be beneathH4295; if that thou hearkenH8085[H8799] unto the commandmentsH4687 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, which I commandH6680[H8764] thee this dayH3117, to observeH8104[H8800] and to doH6213 themH8800: |
[13]And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail, and thou shalt be above only, and shalt not be beneath, if thou obey the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to keep and to do them. |
[14]And thou shalt not go asideH5493[H8799] from any of the wordsH1697 which I commandH6680[H8764] thee this dayH3117, to the right handH3225, or to the leftH8040, to goH3212[H8800] afterH310 otherH312 godsH430 to serveH5647 themH8800. |
[14]But thou shalt not decline from any of the words, which I command you this day, either to the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them. |
[15]But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearkenH8085[H8799] unto the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, to observeH8104[H8800] to doH6213[H8800] all his commandmentsH4687 and his statutesH2708 which I commandH6680[H8764] thee this dayH3117; that all these cursesH7045 shall comeH935[H8804] upon thee, and overtakeH5381 theeH8689: |
[15]But if thou wilt not obey the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep and to do all his commandments and his ordinances, which I command thee this day, then all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee. |
[16]CursedH779[H8803] shalt thou be in the cityH5892, and cursedH779[H8803] shalt thou be in the fieldH7704. |
[16]Cursed shalt thou be in the town, and cursed also in the field. |
[17]CursedH779[H8803] shall be thy basketH2935 and thy storeH4863. |
[17]Cursed shall thy basket be, and thy dough. |
[18]CursedH779[H8803] shall be the fruitH6529 of thy bodyH990, and the fruitH6529 of thy landH127, the increaseH7698 of thy kineH504, and the flocksH6251 of thy sheepH6629. |
[18]Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep. |
[19]CursedH779[H8803] shalt thou be when thou comest inH935[H8800], and cursedH779[H8803] shalt thou be when thou goest outH3318.[H8800] |
[19]Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed also when thou goest out. |
[20]The LORDH3068 shall sendH7971[H8762] upon thee cursingH3994, vexationH4103, and rebukeH4045, in all that thou settestH4916 thine handH3027 unto for to doH6213[H8799], until thou be destroyedH8045[H8736], and until thou perishH6[H8800] quicklyH4118; becauseH6440 of the wickednessH7455 of thy doingsH4611, whereby thou hast forsakenH5800 meH8804. |
[20]The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, trouble, and shame, in all that which thou settest thine hand to do, until thou be destroyed, and perish quickly, because of the wickedness of thy works whereby thou hast forsaken me. |
[21]The LORDH3068 shall make the pestilenceH1698 cleaveH1692[H8686] unto thee, until he have consumedH3615[H8763] thee from off the landH127, whither thou goestH935[H8802] to possessH3423 itH8800. |
[21]The Lord shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he hath consumed thee from the land, whither thou goest to possess it. |
[22]The LORDH3068 shall smiteH5221[H8686] thee with a consumptionH7829, and with a feverH6920, and with an inflammationH1816, and with an extreme burningH2746, and with the swordH2719, and with blastingH7711, and with mildewH3420; and they shall pursueH7291[H8804] thee until thou perishH6.[H8800] |
[22]The Lord shall smite thee with a consumption, and with the fever, and with a burning ague, and with fervent heat, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with the mildew, and they shall pursue thee until thou perish. |
[23]And thy heavenH8064 that is over thy headH7218 shall be brassH5178, and the earthH776 that is under thee shall be ironH1270. |
[23]And thine heaven that is over thine head, shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee, iron. |
[24]The LORDH3068 shall makeH5414[H8799] the rainH4306 of thy landH776 powderH80 and dustH6083: from heavenH8064 shall it come downH3381[H8799] upon thee, until thou be destroyedH8045.[H8736] |
[24]The Lord shall give thee for the rain of thy land, dust and ashes: even from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed. |
[25]The LORDH3068 shall causeH5414[H8799] thee to be smittenH5062[H8737] beforeH6440 thine enemiesH341[H8802]: thou shalt go outH3318[H8799] oneH259 wayH1870 against them, and fleeH5127[H8799] sevenH7651 waysH1870 beforeH6440 them: and shalt be removedH2189 into all the kingdomsH4467 of the earthH776. |
[25]And the Lord shall cause thee to fall before thine enemies: thou shalt come out one way against them, and shalt flee seven ways before them, and shalt be scattered through all the kingdoms of the earth. |
[26]And thy carcaseH5038 shall be meatH3978 unto all fowlsH5775 of the airH8064, and unto the beastsH929 of the earthH776, and no man shall fray them awayH2729.[H8688] |
[26]And thy carcasses shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and none shall fray them away. |
[27]The LORDH3068 will smiteH5221[H8686] thee with the botchH7822 of EgyptH4714, and with the emerodsH2914[H8675][H6076], and with the scabH1618, and with the itchH2775, whereof thou canstH3201[H8799] not be healedH7495.[H8736] |
[27]The Lord will smite thee with the botch of Egypt, and with the emerods, and with the scab, and with the itch, that thou canst not be healed. |
[28]The LORDH3068 shall smiteH5221[H8686] thee with madnessH7697, and blindnessH5788, and astonishmentH8541 of heartH3824: |
[28]And the Lord shall smite thee with madness, and with blindness, and with astonishing of heart. |
[29]And thou shalt gropeH4959[H8764] at noondayH6672, as the blindH5787 gropethH4959[H8762] in darknessH653, and thou shalt not prosperH6743[H8686] in thy waysH1870: and thou shalt be only oppressedH6231[H8803] and spoiledH1497[H8803] evermoreH3117, and no man shall saveH3467 theeH8688. |
[29]Thou shalt also grope at noondays, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and shalt not prosper in thy ways: thou shalt never but be oppressed with wrong, and be polled evermore, and no man shall succor thee. |
[30]Thou shalt betrothH781[H8762] a wifeH802, and anotherH312 manH376 shall lieH7901[H8799][H8675][H7693][H8799] with her: thou shalt buildH1129[H8799] an houseH1004, and thou shalt not dwellH3427[H8799] therein: thou shalt plantH5193[H8799] a vineyardH3754, and shalt not gather the grapesH2490 thereofH8762. |
[30]Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard and shalt not eat the fruit. |
[31]Thine oxH7794 shall be slainH2873[H8803] before thine eyesH5869, and thou shalt not eatH398[H8799] thereof: thine assH2543 shall be violently taken awayH1497[H8803] from before thy faceH6440, and shall not be restoredH7725[H8799] to thee: thy sheepH6629 shall be givenH5414[H8803] unto thine enemiesH341[H8802], and thou shalt have none to rescueH3467 themH8688. |
[31]Thine ox shall be slain before thine eyes, and thou shalt not eat thereof: thine ass shall be violently taken away before thy face, and shall not be restored to thee: thy sheep shall be given unto thine enemies, and no man shall rescue them for thee. |
[32]Thy sonsH1121 and thy daughtersH1323 shall be givenH5414[H8803] unto anotherH312 peopleH5971, and thine eyesH5869 shall lookH7200[H8802], and failH3616 with longing for them all the dayH3117 long: and there shall be no mightH410 in thine handH3027. |
[32]Thy sons and thy daughters shall be given unto another people, and thine eyes shall still look for them, even till they fall out, and there shall be no power in thine hand. |
[33]The fruitH6529 of thy landH127, and all thy laboursH3018, shall a nationH5971 which thou knowestH3045[H8804] not eat upH398[H8799]; and thou shalt be only oppressedH6231[H8803] and crushedH7533[H8803] alwayH3117: |
[33]The fruit of thy land and all thy labors shall a people, which thou knowest not, eat, and thou shalt never but suffer wrong, and violence alway: |
[34]So that thou shalt be madH7696[H8794] for the sightH4758 of thine eyesH5869 which thou shalt seeH7200.[H8799] |
[34]So that thou shalt be mad for the sight which thine eyes shall see. |
[35]The LORDH3068 shall smiteH5221[H8686] thee in the kneesH1290, and in the legsH7785, with a soreH7451 botchH7822 that cannotH3201[H8799] be healedH7495[H8736], from the soleH3709 of thy footH7272 unto the top of thy headH6936. |
[35]The Lord shall smite thee in the knees, and in the thighs, with a sore botch, that thou canst not be healed: even from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thine head. |
[36]The LORDH3068 shall bringH3212[H8686] thee, and thy kingH4428 which thou shalt setH6965[H8686] over thee, unto a nationH1471 which neither thou nor thy fathersH1 have knownH3045[H8804]; and there shalt thou serveH5647[H8804] otherH312 godsH430, woodH6086 and stoneH68. |
[36]The Lord shall bring thee and thy king (which thou shalt set over thee) unto a nation, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, and there thou shalt serve other gods: even wood and stone, |
[37]And thou shalt become an astonishmentH8047, a proverbH4912, and a bywordH8148, among all nationsH5971 whither the LORDH3068 shall leadH5090 theeH8762. |
[37]And thou shalt be a wonder, a proverb and a common talk among all people, whither the Lord shall carry thee. |
[38]Thou shalt carryH3318 muchH7227 seedH2233 outH3318[H8686] into the fieldH7704, and shalt gatherH622 but littleH4592 inH622[H8799]; for the locustH697 shall consumeH2628 itH8799. |
[38]Thou shalt carry out much seed into the field, and shalt gather but little in: for the grasshoppers shall destroy it. |
[39]Thou shalt plantH5193[H8799] vineyardsH3754, and dressH5647[H8804] them, but shalt neither drinkH8354[H8799] of the wineH3196, nor gatherH103[H8799] the grapes; for the wormsH8438 shall eatH398 themH8799. |
[39]Thou shalt plant a vineyard, and dress it, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes: for the worms shall eat it. |
[40]Thou shalt have olive treesH2132 throughout all thy coastsH1366, but thou shalt not anointH5480[H8799] thyself with the oilH8081; for thine oliveH2132 shall castH5394 his fruitH8799. |
[40]Thou shalt have olive trees in all thy coasts, but shalt not anoint thyself with the oil: for thine olives shall fall. |
[41]Thou shalt begetH3205[H8686] sonsH1121 and daughtersH1323, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall goH3212[H8799] into captivityH7628. |
[41]Thou shalt beget sons, and daughters, but shalt not have them: for they shall go into captivity. |
[42]All thy treesH6086 and fruitH6529 of thy landH127 shall the locustH6767 consumeH3423.[H8762] |
[42]All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the grasshopper consume. |
[43]The strangerH1616 that is withinH7130 thee shall get upH5927[H8799] above thee veryH4605 highH4605; and thou shalt come downH3381[H8799] veryH4295 lowH4295. |
[43]The stranger that is among you, shall climb above thee up on high, and thou shalt come down beneath alow. |
[44]He shall lendH3867[H8686] to thee, and thou shalt not lendH3867[H8686] to him: he shall be the headH7218, and thou shalt be the tailH2180. |
[44]He shall lend thee, and thou shalt not lend him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail. |
[45]Moreover all these cursesH7045 shall comeH935[H8804] upon thee, and shall pursueH7291[H8804] thee, and overtakeH5381[H8689] thee, till thou be destroyedH8045[H8736]; because thou hearkenedstH8085[H8804] not unto the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430, to keepH8104[H8800] his commandmentsH4687 and his statutesH2708 which he commandedH6680 theeH8765: |
[45]Moreover, all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed, because thou obeyedst not the voice of the Lord thy God, to keep his commandments, and his ordinances, which he commanded thee: |
[46]And they shall be upon thee for a signH226 and for a wonderH4159, and upon thy seedH2233 forH5704 everH5769. |
[46]And they shall be upon thee for signs and wonders, and upon thy seed forever, |
[47]Because thou servedstH5647[H8804] not the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 with joyfulnessH8057, and with gladnessH2898 of heartH3824, for the abundance of all thingsH7230; |
[47]Because thou servest not the Lord thy God with joyfulness and with a good heart for the abundance of all things. |
[48]Therefore shalt thou serveH5647[H8804] thine enemiesH341[H8802] which the LORDH3068 shall sendH7971[H8762] against thee, in hungerH7458, and in thirstH6772, and in nakednessH5903, and in wantH2640 of all things: and he shall putH5414[H8804] a yokeH5923 of ironH1270 upon thy neckH6677, until he have destroyedH8045 theeH8687. |
[48]Therefore thou shalt serve thine enemies which the Lord shall send upon thee, in hunger and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in need of all things? And he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck until he have destroyed thee. |
[49]The LORDH3068 shall bringH5375[H8799] a nationH1471 against thee from farH7350, from the endH7097 of the earthH776, as swift as the eagleH5404 fliethH1675[H8799]; a nationH1471 whose tongueH3956 H8085thou shalt not understandH8799 |
[49]The Lord shall bring a nation upon thee from far, even from the end of the world, flying swift as an eagle: a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand: |
[50]A nationH1471 of fierceH5794 countenanceH6440, which shall not regardH5375[H8799] the personH6440 of the oldH2205, nor shew favourH2603[H8799] to the youngH5288: |
[50]A nation of a fierce countenance, which will not regard the person of the old, nor have compassion of the young. |
[51]And he shall eatH398[H8804] the fruitH6529 of thy cattleH929, and the fruitH6529 of thy landH127, until thou be destroyedH8045[H8736]: which also shall not leaveH7604[H8686] thee either cornH1715, wineH8492, or oilH3323, or the increaseH7698 of thy kineH504, or flocksH6251 of thy sheepH6629, until he have destroyedH6 theeH8687. |
[51]The same shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land until thou be destroyed, and he shall leave thee neither wheat, wine, nor oil, neither the increase of thy kine, nor the flocks of thy sheep, until he have brought thee to naught. |
[52]And he shall besiegeH6887[H8689] thee in all thy gatesH8179, until thy highH1364 and fencedH1219[H8803] wallsH2346 come downH3381[H8800], whereinH2004 thou trustedstH982[H8802], throughout all thy landH776: and he shall besiegeH6887[H8689] thee in all thy gatesH8179 throughout all thy landH776, which the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 hath givenH5414 theeH8804. |
[52]And he shall besiege thee in all thy cities, until thine high and strong walls fall down, wherein thou trustest in all the land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy cities throughout all thy land, which the Lord thy God hath given thee. |
[53]And thou shalt eatH398[H8804] the fruitH6529 of thine own bodyH990, the fleshH1320 of thy sonsH1121 and of thy daughtersH1323, which the LORDH3068 thy GodH430 hath givenH5414[H8804] thee, in the siegeH4692, and in the straitnessH4689, wherewith thine enemiesH341[H8802] shall distressH6693 theeH8686: |
[53]And thou shalt eat the fruit of thy body: even the flesh of thy sons and thy daughters, which the Lord thy God hath given thee, during the siege and straightness wherein thine enemy shall enclose thee: |
[54]So that the manH376 that is tenderH7390 among you, and veryH3966 delicateH6028, his eyeH5869 shall be evilH3415[H8799] toward his brotherH251, and toward the wifeH802 of his bosomH2436, and toward the remnantH3499 of his childrenH1121 which he shall leaveH3498:[H8686] |
[54]So that the man (that is tender and exceeding dainty among you) shall be grieved at his brother and at his wife, that lieth in his bosom, and at the remnant of his children, which he hath yet left, |
[55]So that he will not giveH5414[H8800] to anyH259 of them of the fleshH1320 of his childrenH1121 whom he shall eatH398[H8799]: because he hath nothing leftH7604[H8689] him in the siegeH4692, and in the straitnessH4689, wherewith thine enemiesH341[H8802] shall distressH6693[H8686] thee in all thy gatesH8179. |
[55]For fear of giving unto any of them of the flesh of his children, whom he shall eat, because he hath nothing left him in that siege, and straightness, wherewith thine enemy shall besiege thee in all thy cities. |
[56]The tenderH7390 and delicateH6028 woman among you, which would not adventureH5254[H8765] to setH3322[H8687] the soleH3709 of her footH7272 upon the groundH776 for delicatenessH6026[H8692] and tendernessH7391, her eyeH5869 shall be evilH3415[H8799] toward the husbandH376 of her bosomH2436, and toward her sonH1121, and toward her daughterH1323, |
[56]The tender and dainty woman among you, which never would venture to set the sole of her foot upon the ground (for her softness and tenderness) shall be grieved at her husband that lieth in her bosom, and at her son, and at her daughter, |
[57]And toward her young oneH7988 that cometh outH3318[H8802] from between her feetH7272, and toward her childrenH1121 which she shall bearH3205[H8799]: for she shall eatH398[H8799] them for wantH2640 of all things secretlyH5643 in the siegeH4692 and straitnessH4689, wherewith thine enemyH341[H8802] shall distressH6693[H8686] thee in thy gatesH8179. |
[57]And at her afterbirth (that shall come out from between her feet) and at her children, which she shall bear: for when all things lack, she shall eat them secretly, during the siege and straightness, wherewith thine enemy shall besiege thee in thy cities. |
[58]If thou wilt not observeH8104[H8799] to doH6213[H8800] all the wordsH1697 of this lawH8451 that are writtenH3789[H8803] in this bookH5612, that thou mayest fearH3372[H8800] this gloriousH3513[H8737] and fearfulH3372[H8737] nameH8034, THE LORDH3068 THY GODH430; |
[58]If thou wilt not keep and do all the words of this law (that are written in this book) and fear this glorious and fearful name THE LORD THY GOD, |
[59]Then the LORDH3068 will makeH6381 thy plaguesH4347 wonderfulH6381[H8689], and the plaguesH4347 of thy seedH2233, even greatH1419 plaguesH4347, and of long continuanceH539[H8737], and soreH7451 sicknessesH2483, and of long continuanceH539.[H8737] |
[59]Then the Lord will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues and of long continuance, and sore diseases, and of long durance. |
[60]Moreover he will bringH7725[H8689] upon thee all the diseasesH4064 of EgyptH4714, which thou wast afraidH3025[H8804] ofH6440; and they shall cleaveH1692 unto theeH8804. |
[60]Moreover, he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, whereof thou wast afraid, and they shall cleave unto thee. |
[61]Also every sicknessH2483, and every plagueH4347, which is not writtenH3789[H8803] in the bookH5612 of this lawH8451, them will the LORDH3068 bringH5927[H8686] upon thee, until thou be destroyedH8045.[H8736] |
[61]And every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, will the Lord heap upon thee, until thou be destroyed. |
[62]And ye shall be leftH7604[H8738] fewH4592 in numberH4962, whereasH834 ye were as the starsH3556 of heavenH8064 for multitudeH7230; because thou wouldest not obeyH8085[H8804] the voiceH6963 of the LORDH3068 thy GodH430. |
[62]And ye shall be left few in number, where ye were as the stars of heaven in multitude, because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the Lord thy God. |
[63]And it shall come to pass, that as the LORDH3068 rejoicedH7797[H8804] over you to do you goodH3190[H8687], and to multiplyH7235[H8687] you; so the LORDH3068 will rejoiceH7797[H8799] over you to destroyH6[H8687] you, and to bring you to noughtH8045[H8687]; and ye shall be pluckedH5255[H8738] from off the landH127 whither thou goestH935[H8802] to possessH3423 itH8800. |
[63]And as the Lord hath rejoiced over you, to do you good, and to multiply you, so he will rejoice over you, to destroy you, and bring you to naught, and ye shall be rooted out of the land, whither thou goest to possess it. |
[64]And the LORDH3068 shall scatterH6327[H8689] thee among all peopleH5971, from the one endH7097 of the earthH776 even unto the otherH7097; and there thou shalt serveH5647[H8804] otherH312 godsH430, which neither thou nor thy fathersH1 have knownH3045[H8804], even woodH6086 and stoneH68. |
[64]And the Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the world unto the other, and there thou shalt serve other gods, which thou hast not known nor thy fathers, even wood and stone. |
[65]And among theseH1992 nationsH1471 shalt thou find no easeH7280[H8686], neither shall the soleH3709 of thy footH7272 have restH4494: but the LORDH3068 shall giveH5414[H8804] thee there a tremblingH7268 heartH3820, and failingH3631 of eyesH5869, and sorrowH1671 of mindH5315: |
[65]Also among these nations thou shalt find no rest, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: for the Lord shall give thee there a trembling heart, and looking to return till thine eyes fall out, and a sorrowful mind. |
[66]And thy lifeH2416 shall hangH8511[H8803] in doubt beforeH5048 thee; and thou shalt fearH6342[H8804] dayH3119 and nightH3915, and shalt have none assuranceH539[H8686] of thy lifeH2416: |
[66]And thy life shall hang before thee, and thou shalt fear both night and day, and shalt have none assurance of thy life. |
[67]In the morningH1242 thou shalt sayH559[H8799], Would God it wereH5414[H8799] evenH6153! and at evenH6153 thou shalt sayH559[H8799], Would God it wereH5414[H8799] morningH1242! for the fearH6343 of thine heartH3824 wherewith thou shalt fearH6342[H8799], and for the sightH4758 of thine eyesH5869 which thou shalt seeH7200.[H8799] |
[67]In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were evening, and at the evening thou shalt say, Would God it were morning, for the fear of thine heart, which thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes, which thou shalt see. |
[68]And the LORDH3068 shall bringH7725 thee into EgyptH4714 againH7725[H8689] with shipsH591, by the wayH1870 whereof I spakeH559[H8804] unto thee, Thou shalt seeH7200[H8800] it no more againH3254[H8686]: and there ye shall be soldH4376[H8694] unto your enemiesH341[H8802] for bondmenH5650 and bondwomenH8198, and no man shall buyH7069 youH8802. |
[68]And the Lord shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships by the way, whereof I said unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall sell yourselves unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and there shall be no buyer. |
