[1]On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king. |
| [2]εὑρίσκωVB-AAI3S δέX ὁRA-APN γράμμαN3M-APN ὁRA-APN γράφωVD-APPAPN περίP *μαρδοχαῖοςN2-GSM ὡςC ἀποἀγγέλλωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-DSM βασιλεύςN3V-DSM περίP ὁRA-GPM δύοM εὐνοῦχοςN2-GPM ὁRA-GSM βασιλεύςN3V-GSM ἐνP ὁRA-DSN φυλάσσωV1-PAN αὐτόςRD-APM καίC ζητέωVA-AAN ἐπιβάλλωVB-AAN ὁRA-APF χείρN3-APF *ἀρταξέρξηςN1M-DSM |
[2]And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, the keepers of the door, who sought to lay hand on the king Ahasuerus. |
| [3]εἶπονVBI-AAI3S δέX ὁRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM τίςRI-ASF δόξαN1S-ASF ἤC χάριςN3-ASF ποιέωVAI-AAI1P ὁRA-DSM *μαρδοχαῖοςN2-DSM καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI3P ὁRA-NPM διάκονοςN2-NPM ὁRA-GSM βασιλεύςN3V-GSM οὐD ποιέωVAI-AAI2S αὐτόςRD-DSM οὐδείςA3-ASN |
[3]And the king said, What honour and dignity hath been done to Mordecai for this? Then said the king's servants that ministered unto him, There is nothing done for him. |
| [4]ἐνP δέX ὁRA-DSN πυνθάνομαιV1-PMN ὁRA-ASM βασιλεύςN3V-ASM περίP ὁRA-GSF εὔνοιαN1A-GSF *μαρδοχαῖοςN2-GSM ἰδούI *αμανN--NSM ἐνP ὁRA-DSF αὐλήN1-DSF εἶπονVBI-AAI3S δέX ὁRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM τίςRI-NSM ἐνP ὁRA-DSF αὐλήN1-DSF ὁRA-NSM δέX *αμανN--NSM εἰςἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S λέγωVB-AAN ὁRA-DSM βασιλεύςN3V-DSM κρεμάζωVA-AAN ὁRA-ASM *μαρδοχαῖοςN2-ASM ἐπίP ὁRA-DSN ξύλονN2N-DSN ὅςRR-DSN ἑτοιμάζωVAI-AAI3S |
[4]And the king said, Who is in the court? Now Haman was come into the outward court of the king's house, to speak unto the king to hang Mordecai on the gallows that he had prepared for him. |

[5]And the king's servants said unto him, Behold, Haman standeth in the court. And the king said, Let him come in. |
| [6]εἶπονVBI-AAI3S δέX ὁRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM ὁRA-DSM *αμανN--DSM τίςRI-ASN ποιέωVF-FAI1S ὁRA-DSM ἄνθρωποςN2-DSM ὅςRR-ASM ἐγώRP-NS θέλωV1-PAI1S δοξάζωVA-AAN εἶπονVBI-AAI3S δέX ἐνP ἑαυτοῦRD-DSM *αμανN--NSM τίςRI-ASM θέλωV1-PAI3S ὁRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM δοξάζωVA-AAN εἰC μήD ἐγώRP-AS |
[6]So Haman came in. And the king said unto him, What shall be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour? Now Haman thought in his heart, To whom would the king delight to do honour more than to myself? |
| [7]εἶπονVBI-AAI3S δέX πρόςP ὁRA-ASM βασιλεύςN3V-ASM ἄνθρωποςN2-ASM ὅςRR-ASM ὁRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM θέλωV1-PAI3S δοξάζωVA-AAN |
[7]And Haman answered the king, For the man whom the king delighteth to honour, |
| [8]φέρωVA-AAD3P ὁRA-NPM παῖςN3D-NPM ὁRA-GSM βασιλεύςN3V-GSM στολήN1-ASF βύσσινοςA1-ASF ὅςRR-ASF ὁRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM περιβάλλωV1-PMI3S καίC ἵπποςN2-ASM ἐπίP ὅςRR-ASM ὁRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM ἐπιβαίνωV1-PAI3S |
[8]Let the royal apparel be brought which the king useth to wear, and the horse that the king rideth upon, and the crown royal which is set upon his head: |
| [9]καίC δίδωμιVO-AAD3S εἷςA3-DSM ὁRA-GPM φίλοςA1-GPM ὁRA-GSM βασιλεύςN3V-GSM ὁRA-GPM ἔνδοξοςA1B-GPM καίC στολίζωVA-AAD3S ὁRA-ASM ἄνθρωποςN2-ASM ὅςRR-ASM ὁRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM ἀγαπάωV3-PAI3S καίC ἀναβιβάζωVA-AAD3S αὐτόςRD-ASM ἐπίP ὁRA-ASM ἵπποςN2-ASM καίC κηρύσσωV1-PAD3S διάP ὁRA-GSF πλατεῖαN1A-GSF ὁRA-GSF πόλιςN3I-GSF λέγωV1-PAPNSM οὕτωςD εἰμίVF-FMI3S πᾶςA3-DSM ἄνθρωποςN2-DSM ὅςRR-ASM ὁRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM δοξάζωV1-PAI3S |
[9]And let this apparel and horse be delivered to the hand of one of the king's most noble princes, that they may array the man withal whom the king delighteth to honour, and bring him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaim before him, Thus shall it be done to the man whom the king delighteth to honour. |
| [10]εἶπονVBI-AAI3S δέX ὁRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM ὁRA-DSM *αμανN--DSM καθώςD λαλέωVAI-AAI2S οὕτωςD ποιέωVA-AAD2S ὁRA-DSM *μαρδοχαῖοςN2-DSM ὁRA-DSM *ἰουδαῖοςN2-DSM ὁRA-DSM θεραπεύωV1-PAPDSM ἐνP ὁRA-DSF αὐλήN1-DSF καίC μήD παραπίπτωVA-AAD3S σύRP-GS λόγοςN2-NSM ὅςRR-GPM λαλέωVAI-AAI2S |
[10]Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king's gate: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken. |

[11]Then took Haman the apparel and the horse, and arrayed Mordecai, and brought him on horseback through the street of the city, and proclaimed before him, Thus shall it be done unto the man whom the king delighteth to honour. |

[12]And Mordecai came again to the king's gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered. |
| [13]καίC διαἡγέομαιVAI-AMI3S *αμανN--NSM ὁRA-APN συνβαίνωVX-XAPAPN αὐτόςRD-DSM *ζωσαραN--DSF ὁRA-DSF γυνήN3K-DSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ὁRA-DPM φίλοςA1-DPM καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI3P πρόςP αὐτόςRD-ASM ὁRA-NPM φίλοςA1-NPM καίC ὁRA-NSF γυνήN3K-NSF εἰC ἐκP γένοςN3E-GSN *ἰουδαῖοςN2-GPM *μαρδοχαῖοςN2-NSM ἄρχωVA-AAN ταπεινόωV4-PMN ἐνώπιονP αὐτόςRD-GSM πίπτωVB-AAPNSM πίπτωVF-FMI2S οὐD μήD δύναμαιV6-PMI2S αὐτόςRD-ASM ἀμύνωVA-AMN ὅτιC θεόςN2-NSM ζάωV3-PAPNSM μετάP αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[13]And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him. |

[14]And while they were yet talking with him, came the king's chamberlains, and hasted to bring Haman unto the banquet that Esther had prepared. |
