[1]οὗτοςRD-NPNRA-NPN ὄνομαN3M-NPNRA-GPM υἱόςN2-GPM *ἰσραήλN--GSMRA-GPM εἰςπορεύομαιVX-XPPGPM εἰςP *αἴγυπτοςN2-ASF ἅμαD *ἰακώβN--DSMRA-DSM πατήρN3-DSM αὐτόςRD-GPM ἕκαστοςA1-NSM πανοικίαN1A-DSF αὐτόςRD-GPM εἰςἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3P [1]Now these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt (every man and his household came thither with Jacob)
[2]*ρουβηνN--NSM *συμεωνN--NSM *λευίN--NSM *ἰούδαςN--NSM [2]Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah,
[3]*ισσαχαρN--NSM *ζαβουλωνN--NSM καίC *βενιαμίνN--NSM [3]Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin,
[4]*δανN--NSM καίC *νεφθαλιN--NSM *γαδN--NSM καίC *ασηρN--NSM [4]Dan, and Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
[5]*ιωσηφN--NSM δέX εἰμίV9-IAI3S ἐνP *αἴγυπτοςN2-DSF εἰμίV9-IAI3P δέX πᾶςA1S-NPF ψυχήN1-NPF ἐκP *ἰακώβN--GSM πέντεM καίC ἑβδομήκονταM [5]So all the souls, that came out of the loins of Jacob, were seventy souls: Joseph was in Egypt already.
[6]τελευτάωVAI-AAI3S δέX *ιωσηφN--NSM καίC πᾶςA3-NPMRA-NPM ἀδελφόςN2-NPM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC πᾶςA1S-NSFRA-NSF γενεάN1A-NSF ἐκεῖνοςRD-NSF [6]Now Joseph died and all his brethren, and that whole generation.
[7]RA-NPM δέX υἱόςN2-NPM *ἰσραήλN--GSM αὐξάνωVCI-API3P καίC πληθύνωVCI-API3P καίC χυδαῖοςA1B-NPM γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3P καίC καταἰσχύωV1-IAI3P σφόδραD σφόδραD πληθύνωVAI-AAI3S δέXRA-NSF γῆN1-NSF αὐτόςRD-APM [7]And the children of Israel brought forth fruit and increased in abundance, and were multiplied, and were exceeding mighty, so that the land was full of them.
[8]ἀναἵστημιVHI-AAI3S δέX βασιλεύςN3V-NSM ἕτεροςA1A-NSM ἐπίP *αἴγυπτοςN2-ASF ὅςRR-NSM οὐD οἶδαVXI-YAI3SRA-ASM *ιωσηφN--ASM [8]Then there rose up a new king in Egypt, who knew not Joseph.
[9]εἶπονVBI-AAI3S δέXRA-DSN ἔθνοςN3E-DSN αὐτόςRD-GSM ἰδούIRA-NSN γένοςN3E-NSNRA-GPM υἱόςN2-GPM *ἰσραήλN--GSM μέγαςA1P-NSN πλῆθοςN3E-NSN καίC ἰσχύωV1-PAI3S ὑπέρP ἐγώRP-AP [9]And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are greater and mightier than we.
[10]δεῦτεD οὖνX κατασοφίζωVA-AAS1P αὐτόςRD-APM μήποτεD πληθύνωVC-APS3S καίC ἡνίκαD ἄνX συνβαίνωVZ-AAS3S ἐγώRP-DP πόλεμοςN2-NSM προςτίθημιVC-FPI3P καίC οὗτοςRD-NPM πρόςPRA-APM ὑπεναντίοςA1A-APM καίC ἐκπολεμέωVA-AAPNPM ἐγώRP-AP ἐκἔρχομαιVF-FMI3P ἐκPRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF [10]Come, let us work wisely with them, lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that if there be war, they join themselves also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and get them out of the land.
[11]καίC ἐπιἵστημιVHI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DPM ἐπιστάτηςN1M-APMRA-GPN ἔργονN2N-GPN ἵναC κακόωVA-AAS3P αὐτόςRD-APM ἐνPRA-DPN ἔργονN2N-DPN καίC οἰκοδομέωVAI-AAI3P πόλιςN3I-APF ὀχυρόςA1A-APFRA-DSM *φαραώN--DSMRA-ASF τεX *πιθωμN--ASF καίC *ραμεσσηN--ASF καίC *ωνN--ASM ὅςRR-NSF εἰμίV9-PAI3S *ἥλιοςN2-GSM πόλιςN3I-NSF [11]Therefore did they set taskmasters over them, to keep them under with burdens: and they built the cities Pithom and Rameses for the treasures of Pharaoh.
[12]καθότιD δέX αὐτόςRD-APM ταπεινόωV4I-IAI3P τοσοῦτοςA1-DSM πολύςA3C-NPMC γίγνομαιV1I-IMI3P καίC ἰσχύωV1-IAI3P σφόδραD σφόδραD καίC βδελύσσωV1I-IMI3PRA-NPM *αἰγύπτιοςN2-NPM ἀπόPRA-GPM υἱόςN2-GPM *ἰσραήλN--GSM [12]But the more they vexed them, the more they multiplied and grew: therefore they were more grieved against the children of Israel.
[13]καίC καταδυναστεύωV1I-IAI3PRA-NPM *αἰγύπτιοςN2-NPMRA-APM υἱόςN2-APM *ἰσραήλN--GSM βίαN1A-DSF [13]Wherefore the Egyptians by cruelty caused the children of Israel to serve.
[14]καίC καταὀδυνάωV1I-IAI3P αὐτόςRD-GPMRA-ASF ζωήN1-ASF ἐνPRA-DPN ἔργονN2N-DPNRA-DPN σκληρόςA1A-DPNRA-DSM πηλόςN2-DSM καίCRA-DSF πλινθείαN1A-DSF καίC πᾶςA3-DPNRA-DPN ἔργονN2N-DPNRA-DPN ἐνPRA-DPN πεδίονN2N-DPN κατάP πᾶςA3-APNRA-APN ἔργονN2N-APN ὅςRR-GPN καταδουλόωV4I-IMI3P αὐτόςRD-APM μετάP βίαN1A-GSF [14]Thus they made them weary of their lives by sore labor in clay and in brick, and in all work in the field, with all manner of bondage, which they laid upon them most cruelly.
[15]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3SRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSMRA-GPM *αἰγύπτιοςN2-GPMRA-DPF μαῖαN1A-DPFRA-GPM *εβραῖοςN2-GPMRA-DSF εἷςA1A-DSF αὐτόςRD-GPM ὅςRR-DSF ὄνομαN3M-NSN *σεπφωραN--NSF καίCRA-NSN ὄνομαN3M-NSNRA-GSF δεύτεροςA1A-GSF *φουαN--NSF [15]Moreover the king of Egypt commanded the midwives of the Hebrew women, (of which the one's name was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah)
[16]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ὅτανD μαιόομαιV4-PAI2PRA-APF *εβραῖαN1A-APF καίC εἰμίV9-PAS3P πρόςPRA-DSN τίκτωV1-PAN ἐάνC μένX ἄρσηνA3-NSN εἰμίV9-PAS3S ἀποκτείνωVA-AAD2P αὐτόςRD-ASN ἐάνC δέX θῆλυςA3U-NSN περιποιέωV2-PMD2P αὐτόςRD-ASN [16]And said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the women of the Hebrews, and see them on their stools, if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then let her live.
[17]φοβέωVCI-API3P δέXRA-NPF μαῖαN1A-NPFRA-ASM θεόςN2-ASM καίC οὐD ποιέωVAI-AAI3P καθότιD συντάσσωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DPFRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSF καίC ζωογονέωV2I-IAI3PRA-APN ἄρσηνA3-APN [17]Notwithstanding the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but preserved alive the men children.
[18]καλέωVAI-AAI3S δέXRA-NSM βασιλεύςN3V-NSM *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSFRA-APF μαῖαN1A-APF καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DPF τίςRI-ASN ὅτιC ποιέωVAI-AAI2PRA-ASN πρᾶγμαN3M-ASN οὗτοςRD-ASN καίC ζωογονέωV2I-IAI2PRA-APN ἄρσηνA3-APN [18]Then the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done thus, and have preserved alive the men children?
[19]εἶπονVAI-AAI3P δέXRA-NPF μαῖαN1A-NPFRA-DSM *φαραώN--DSM οὐD ὡςC γυνήN3K-NPF *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSFRA-NPF *εβραῖαN1A-NPF τίκτωV1-PAI3P γάρX πρίνDC εἰςἔρχομαιVB-AAN πρόςP αὐτόςRD-APFRA-APF μαῖαN1A-APF καίC τίκτωV1I-IAI3P [19]And the midwives answered Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the women of Egypt: for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwife come at them.
[20]εὖD δέX ποιέωV2I-IAI3SRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSMRA-DPF μαῖαN1A-DPF καίC πληθύνωVAI-AAI3SRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM καίC ἰσχύωV1I-IAI3S σφόδραD [20]God therefore prospered the midwives, and the people multiplied and were very mighty.
[21]ἐπειδήC φοβέωV2I-IMI3PRA-NPF μαῖαN1A-NPFRA-ASM θεόςN2-ASM ποιέωVAI-AAI3P ἑαυτοῦRD-DPF οἰκίαN1A-APF [21]And because the midwives feared God, therefore he made them houses.
[22]συντάσσωVAI-AAI3S δέX *φαραώN--NSM πᾶςA3-DSMRA-DSM λαόςN2-DSM αὐτόςRD-GSM λέγωV1-PAPNSM πᾶςA3-NSM ἄρσηνA3-ASN ὅςRR-NSN ἐάνC τίκτωVQ-APS3SRA-DPM *εβραῖοςN2-DPM εἰςPRA-ASM ποταμόςN2-ASM ῥίπτωVA-AAD2P καίC πᾶςA3-ASN θῆλυςA3U-ASN ζωογονέωV2-PAI2P αὐτόςRD-ASN [22]Then Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every man child that is born, cast ye into the river, but reserve every maid child alive.
