[1]AND the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, |
[2]ἁγιάζωVA-AAD2S ἐγώRP-DS πᾶςA3-ASN πρωτότοκοςA1B-ASN πρωτογενήςA3H-ASN δια ἀναοἴγωV1-PAPASN πᾶςA1S-ASF μήτραN1A-ASF ἐνP ὁRA-DPM υἱόςN2-DPM *ἰσραήλN--GSM ἀπόP ἄνθρωποςN2-GSM ἕωςP κτῆνοςN3E-GSN ἐγώRP-DS εἰμίV9-PAI3S |
[2]Sanctify to me every first-born that opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of men and of animals; for they are mine. |
[3]εἶπονVBI-AAI3S δέX *μωυσῆςN1M-NSM πρόςP ὁRA-ASM λαόςN2-ASM μνημονεύωV1-PAD2P ὁRA-ASF ἡμέραN1A-ASF οὗτοςRD-ASF ἐνP ὅςRR-DSF ἐκἔρχομαιVBI-AAI2P ἐκP γῆN1-GSF *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSF ἐκP οἶκοςN2-GSM δουλείαN1A-GSF ἐνP γάρX χείρN3-DSF κραταιόςA1A-DSF ἐκἄγωVBI-AAI3S σύRP-AP κύριοςN2-NSM ἐντεῦθενD καίC οὐD βιβρώσκωVC-FPI3S ζύμηN1-NSF |
[3]And Moses said to the people, Remember this day in which you came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by a strong hand the LORD brought you out from this place; there shall no leavened bread be eaten on this day. |

[4]In this day you are going forth in the month of Abib. |
[5]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S ἡνίκαD ἐάνC εἰςἄγωVB-AAS3S σύRP-AS κύριοςN2-NSM ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS εἰςP ὁRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF ὁRA-GPM *χαναναῖοςN2-GPM καίC *χετταῖοςN2-GPM καίC *ευαῖοςN2-GPM καίC *γεργεσαῖοςN2-GPM καίC *ἀμορραῖοςN2-GPM καίC *φερεζαῖοςN2-GPM καίC *ιεβουσαῖοςN2-GPM ὅςRR-ASF ὄμνυμιVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-DPM πατήρN3-DPM σύRP-GS δίδωμιVO-AAN σύRP-DS γῆN1-ASF ῥέωV2-PAPASF γάλαN3-ASN καίC μέλιN3-ASN καίC ποιέωVF-FAI2S ὁRA-ASF λατρείαN1A-ASF οὗτοςRD-ASF ἐνP ὁRA-DSM μήνN3-DSM οὗτοςRD-DSM |
[5]And it shall be when the LORD shall bring you into the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Hivites, the Jebusites, and the Perizzites, which he swore to your fathers to give you, a land flowing with milk and honey, therefore you shall keep this service in this month. |
[6]ἕξM ἡμέραN1A-APF ἐσθίωVF-FMI2P ἄζυμοςA1B-APN ὁRA-DSF δέX ἡμέραN1A-DSF ὁRA-DSF ἕβδομοςA1-DSF ἑορτήN1-NSF κύριοςN2-GSM |
[6]Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there shall be a festival to the LORD. |
[7]ἄζυμοςA1B-APN ἐσθίωVF-FMI2P ὁRA-APF ἑπτάM ἡμέραN1A-APF οὐD ὁράωVV-FPI3S σύRP-DS ζυμωτόςA1-NSN οὐδέC εἰμίVF-FMI3S σύRP-DS ζύμηN1-NSF ἐνP πᾶςA3-DPN ὁRA-DPN ὅριονN2N-DPN σύRP-GS |
[7]Unleavened bread shall you eat for seven days; and there shall no leavened bread be seen with you throughout all your territory. |
[8]καίC ἀναἀγγέλλωVF2-FAI2S ὁRA-DSM υἱόςN2-DSM σύRP-GS ἐνP ὁRA-DSF ἡμέραN1A-DSF ἐκεῖνοςRD-DSF λέγωV1-PAPNSM διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN ποιέωVAI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM ἐγώRP-DS ὡςC ἐκπορεύομαιV1I-IMI1S ἐκP *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSF |
[8]And you shall tell your son on that day, This is done because of what my God did for me when I came forth out of Egypt. |
[9]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S σύRP-DS σημεῖονN2N-NSN ἐπίP ὁRA-GSF χείρN3-GSF σύRP-GS καίC μνημόσυνονN2N-NSN πρόP ὀφθαλμόςN2-GPM σύRP-GS ὅπωςC ἄνX γίγνομαιVB-AMS3S ὁRA-NSM νόμοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM ἐνP ὁRA-DSN στόμαN3M-DSN σύRP-GS ἐνP γάρX χείρN3-DSF κραταιόςA1A-DSF ἐκἄγωVBI-AAI3S σύRP-AS κύριοςN2-NSM ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM ἐκP *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSF |
[9]And it shall be to you for a sign. a token of remembrance upon your hand, and for a memorial between your eyes, so that the law of the LORD may be in your mouth; for with a strong hand has the LORD brought you out of Egypt. |
[10]καίC φυλάσσωVF-FMI2P ὁRA-ASM νόμοςN2-ASM οὗτοςRD-ASM κατάP καιρόςN2-APM ὥραN1A-GPF ἀπόP ἡμέραN1A-GPF εἰςP ἡμέραN1A-APF |
[10]You must therefore keep this ordinance and this law at its appointed time from year to year |
[11]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S ὡςC ἄνX εἰςἄγωVB-AAS3S σύRP-AS κύριοςN2-NSM ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS εἰςP ὁRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF ὁRA-GPM *χαναναῖοςN2-GPM ὅςRR-ASM τρόποςN2-ASM ὄμνυμιVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-DPM πατήρN3-DPM σύRP-GS καίC δίδωμιVF-FAI3S σύRP-DS αὐτόςRD-ASF |
[11]And it shall be when the LORD brings you into the land of the Canaanites, as he swore to you and to your fathers, and shall give it to you, |
[12]καίC ἀποαἱρέωVF2-FAI2S πᾶςA3-ASN δια ἀναοἴγωV1-PAPASN μήτραN1A-ASF ὁRA-APN ἀρσενικόςA1-APN ὁRA-DSM κύριοςN2-DSM πᾶςA3-ASN δια ἀναοἴγωV1-PAPASN μήτραN1A-ASF ἐκP ὁRA-GPN βουκόλιονN2N-GPN ἤC ἐνP ὁRA-DPN κτῆνοςN3E-DPN σύRP-GS ὅσοςA1-APN ἐάνC γίγνομαιVB-AMS3S σύRP-DS ὁRA-APN ἀρσενικόςA1-APN ἁγιάζωVF-FAI2S ὁRA-DSM κύριοςN2-DSM |
[12]You shall set apart to the LORD every first-born that opens the womb and every firstling that comes of the animals that you have; the males shall be the LORD'S. |
[13]πᾶςA3-ASN δια ἀναοἴγωV1-PAPASN μήτραN1A-ASF ὄνοςN2-GSM ἀλλάσσωVF-FAI2S πρόβατονN2N-DSN ἐάνC δέX μήD ἀλλάσσωVA-AAS2S λυτρόωVF-FMI2S αὐτόςRD-ASN πᾶςA3-ASN πρωτότοκοςA1B-ASN ἄνθρωποςN2-GSM ὁRA-GPM υἱόςN2-GPM σύRP-GS λυτρόωVF-FMI2S |
[13]And every firstling male of the cattle you shall redeem with a lamb; but if you do not wish to redeem it, then you must kill it: and every first-born of men among your sons you shall redeem. |
[14]ἐάνC δέX ἐρωτάωVA-AAS3S σύRP-AS ὁRA-NSM υἱόςN2-NSM σύRP-GS μετάP οὗτοςRD-APN λέγωV1-PAPNSM τίςRI-NSN οὗτοςRD-NSN καίC εἶπονVF2-FAI2S αὐτόςRD-DSM ὅτιC ἐνP χείρN3-DSF κραταιόςA1A-DSF ἐκἄγωVBI-AAI3S ἐγώRP-AP κύριοςN2-NSM ἐκP γῆN1-GSF *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSF ἐκP οἶκοςN2-GSM δουλείαN1A-GSF |
[14]And it shall be when your son asks you in time to come, saying, What is this? You shall say to him, By a strong hand the LORD brought us out of Egypt from the house of bondage; |
[15]ἡνίκαD δέX σκληρύνωVAI-AAI3S *φαραώN--NSM ἐκ ἀποστέλλωVA-AAN ἐγώRP-AP ἀποκτείνωVAI-AAI3S πᾶςA3-ASN πρωτότοκοςA1B-ASN ἐνP γῆN1-DSF *αἴγυπτοςN2-DSF ἀπόP πρωτότοκοςA1B-GPM ἄνθρωποςN2-GPM ἕωςP πρωτότοκοςA1B-GPN κτῆνοςN3E-GPN διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN ἐγώRP-NS θύωV1-PAI1S ὁRA-DSM κύριοςN2-DSM πᾶςA3-ASN δια ἀναοἴγωV1-PAPASN μήτραN1A-ASF ὁRA-APN ἀρσενικόςA1-APN καίC πᾶςA3-ASN πρωτότοκοςA1B-ASN ὁRA-GPM υἱόςN2-GPM ἐγώRP-GS λυτρόωVF-FMI1S |
[15]And it came to pass, when Pharaoh was stubborn, and would not let us go, the LORD slew all the first-born in the land of Egypt, from the first-born of man to the first-born of animals; that is why I sacrifice to the LORD all that open the womb, being males; but all the first-born of my sons I redeem. |
[16]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S εἰςP σημεῖονN2N-ASN ἐπίP ὁRA-GSF χείρN3-GSF σύRP-GS καίC ἀσάλευτοςA1B-ASN πρόP ὀφθαλμόςN2-GPM σύRP-GS ἐνP γάρX χείρN3-DSF κραταιόςA1A-DSF ἐκἄγωVBI-AAI3S σύRP-AS κύριοςN2-NSM ἐκP *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSF |
[16]And it shall be as a token on your hand and as a memorial between your eyes; for by a strong hand the LORD brought you out of Egypt |
[17]ὡςC δέX ἐκ ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI3S *φαραώN--NSM ὁRA-ASM λαόςN2-ASM οὐD ὁδηγέωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-APM ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM ὁδόςN2-ASF γῆN1-GSF *φυλιστιιμN--GPM ὅτιC ἐγγύςD εἰμίV9-IAI3S εἶπονVBI-AAI3S γάρX ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM μήποτεD μεταμελέωVA-AAS3S ὁRA-DSM λαόςN2-DSM ὁράωVB-AAPDSM πόλεμοςN2-ASM καίC ἀποστρέφωVA-AAS3S εἰςP *αἴγυπτοςN2-ASF |
[17]land it came to pass when Pharaoh had let the people go, God did not lead them by the way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, Lest the people be afraid when they see war, and return to Egypt: |
[18]καίC κυκλόωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM ὁRA-ASM λαόςN2-ASM ὁδόςN2-ASF ὁRA-ASF εἰςP ὁRA-ASF ἔρημοςN2-ASF εἰςP ὁRA-ASF ἐρυθρόςA1A-ASF θάλασσαN1S-ASF πέμπτοςA1-NSF δέX γενεάN1A-NSF ἀναβαίνωVZI-AAI3P ὁRA-NPM υἱόςN2-NPM *ἰσραήλN--GSM ἐκP γῆN1-GSF *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSF |
[18]But God led the people by the way of the wilderness by the Red Sea; and the children of Israel went up armed out of the land of Egypt. |
[19]καίC λαμβάνωVBI-AAI3S *μωυσῆςN1M-NSM ὁRA-APN ὀστέονN2N-APN *ιωσηφN--GSM μετάP ἑαυτοῦRD-GSM ὅρκοςN2-DSM γάρX ὁρκίζωVAI-AAI3S *ιωσηφN--NSM ὁRA-APM υἱόςN2-APM *ἰσραήλN--GSM λέγωV1-PAPNSM ἐπισκοπήN1-DSF ἐπισκέπτωVF-FMI3S σύRP-AP κύριοςN2-NSM καίC συν ἀναφέρωVF-FAI2P ἐγώRP-GS ὁRA-APN ὀστέονN2N-APN ἐντεῦθενD μετάP σύRP-GP |
[19]And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him; for he had solemnly made the children of Israel to swear, saying, God will surely remember you; and you must carry up my bones from here with you. |
[20]ἐκαἴρωVA-AAPNPM δέX ὁRA-NPM υἱόςN2-NPM *ἰσραήλN--GSM ἐκP *σοκχωθN--GS στρατοπεδεύωVAI-AAI3P ἐνP *οθομN--DS παράP ὁRA-ASF ἔρημοςN2-ASF |
[20]And they journeyed from Succoth and encamped at Etham, on the edge of the wilderness. |
[21]ὁRA-NSM δέX θεόςN2-NSM ἡγέομαιV2-IMI3S αὐτόςRD-GPM ἡμέραN1A-GSF μένX ἐνP στῦλοςN2-DSM νεφέληN1-GSF δεικνύωVA-AAN αὐτόςRD-DPM ὁRA-ASF ὁδόςN2-ASF ὁRA-ASF δέX νύξN3-ASF ἐνP στῦλοςN2-DSM πῦρN3-GSN |
[21]And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them on the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; so that they might travel by day and by night; |
[22]οὐD ἐκλείπωVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM στῦλοςN2-NSM ὁRA-GSF νεφέληN1-GSF ἡμέραN1A-GSF καίC ὁRA-NSM στῦλοςN2-NSM ὁRA-GSN πῦρN3-GSN νύξN3-GSF ἐναντίονP πᾶςA3-GSM ὁRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM |
[22]The pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night never failed to go before the people |
