[1]וַיֹּ֖אמֶר אֵלָ֑י בֶּן־אָדָם֙ עֲמֹ֣ד עַל־רַגְלֶ֔יךָ וַאֲדַבֵּ֖ר אֹתָֽךְ׃ |
| [2]And the spiritH7307 enteredH935[H8799] into me when he spakeH1696[H8765] unto me, and setH5975[H8686] me upon my feetH7272, that I heardH8085[H8799] him that spakeH1696 unto meH8693. |
[2]וַתָּ֧בֹא בִ֣י ר֗וּחַ כַּֽאֲשֶׁר֙ דִּבֶּ֣ר אֵלַ֔י וַתַּעֲמִדֵ֖נִי עַל־רַגְלָ֑י וָאֶשְׁמַ֕ע אֵ֖ת מִדַּבֵּ֥ר אֵלָֽי׃ |
| [3]And he saidH559[H8799] unto me, SonH1121 of manH120, I sendH7971[H8802] thee to the childrenH1121 of IsraelH3478, to a rebelliousH4775[H8802] nationH1471 that hath rebelledH4775[H8804] against me: they and their fathersH1 have transgressedH6586[H8804] against me, even unto this veryH6106 dayH3117. |
[3]וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗י בֶּן־אָדָם֙ שֹׁולֵ֨חַ אֲנִ֤י אֹֽותְךָ֙ אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֶל־גֹּויִ֥ם הַמֹּורְדִ֖ים אֲשֶׁ֣ר מָרְדוּ־בִ֑י הֵ֤מָּה וַאֲבֹותָם֙ פָּ֣שְׁעוּ בִ֔י עַד־עֶ֖צֶם הַיֹּ֥ום הַזֶּֽה׃ |
| [4]For they are impudentH7186[H6440] childrenH1121 and stiffheartedH2389[H3820]. I do sendH7971[H8802] thee unto them; and thou shalt sayH559[H8804] unto them, Thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069. |
[4]וְהַבָּנִ֗ים קְשֵׁ֤י פָנִים֙ וְחִזְקֵי־לֵ֔ב אֲנִ֛י שֹׁולֵ֥חַ אֹותְךָ֖ אֲלֵיהֶ֑ם וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר אֲדֹנָ֥י יְהֹוִֽה׃ |
| [5]And they, whether they will hearH8085[H8799], or whether they will forbearH2308[H8799], (for they are a rebelliousH4805 houseH1004,) yet shall knowH3045[H8804] that there hath been a prophetH5030 among themH8432. |
[5]וְהֵ֙מָּה֙ אִם־יִשְׁמְע֣וּ וְאִם־יֶחְדָּ֔לוּ כִּ֛י בֵּ֥ית מְרִ֖י הֵ֑מָּה וְיָ֣דְע֔וּ כִּ֥י נָבִ֖יא הָיָ֥ה בְתֹוכָֽם׃ |
| [6]And thou, sonH1121 of manH120, be not afraidH3372[H8799] of them, neither be afraidH3372[H8799] of their wordsH1697, though briersH5621 and thornsH5544 be with thee, and thou dost dwellH3427[H8802] among scorpionsH6137: be not afraidH3372[H8799] of their wordsH1697, nor be dismayedH2865[H8735] at their looksH6440, though they be a rebelliousH4805 houseH1004. |
[6]וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָ֠דָם אַל־תִּירָ֨א מֵהֶ֜ם וּמִדִּבְרֵיהֶ֣ם אַל־תִּירָ֗א כִּ֣י סָרָבִ֤ים וְסַלֹּונִים֙ אֹותָ֔ךְ וְאֶל־עַקְרַבִּ֖ים אַתָּ֣ה יֹושֵׁ֑ב מִדִּבְרֵיהֶ֤ם אַל־תִּירָא֙ וּמִפְּנֵיהֶ֣ם אַל־תֵּחָ֔ת כִּ֛י בֵּ֥ית מְרִ֖י הֵֽמָּה׃ |
| [7]And thou shalt speakH1696[H8765] my wordsH1697 unto them, whether they will hearH8085[H8799], or whether they will forbearH2308[H8799]: for they are most rebelliousH4805. |
[7]וְדִבַּרְתָּ֤ אֶת־דְּבָרַי֙ אֲלֵיהֶ֔ם אִֽם־יִשְׁמְע֖וּ וְאִם־יֶחְדָּ֑לוּ כִּ֥י מְרִ֖י הֵֽמָּה׃ |
| [8]But thou, sonH1121 of manH120, hearH8085[H8798] what I sayH1696[H8764] unto thee; Be notH1961[H8799] thou rebelliousH4805 like that rebelliousH4805 houseH1004: openH6475[H8798] thy mouthH6310, and eatH398[H8798] that I giveH5414 theeH8802. |
[8]וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֗ם שְׁמַע֙ אֵ֤ת אֲשֶׁר־אֲנִי֙ מְדַבֵּ֣ר אֵלֶ֔יךָ אַל־תְּהִי־מֶ֖רִי כְּבֵ֣ית הַמֶּ֑רִי פְּצֵ֣ה פִ֔יךָ וֶאֱכֹ֕ל אֵ֥ת אֲשֶׁר־אֲנִ֖י נֹתֵ֥ן אֵלֶֽיךָ׃ |
| [9]And when I lookedH7200[H8799], behold, an handH3027 was sentH7971[H8803] unto me; and, lo, a rollH4039 of a book was thereinH5612; |
[9]וָאֶרְאֶ֕ה וְהִנֵּה־יָ֖ד שְׁלוּחָ֣ה אֵלָ֑י וְהִנֵּה־בֹ֖ו מְגִלַּת־סֵֽפֶר׃ |
| [10]And he spreadH6566[H8799] it beforeH6440 me; and it was writtenH3789[H8803] withinH6440 and withoutH268: and there was writtenH3789[H8803] therein lamentationsH7015, and mourningH1899, and woeH1958. |
[10]וַיִּפְרֹ֤שׂ אֹותָהּ֙ לְפָנַ֔י וְהִ֥יא כְתוּבָ֖ה פָּנִ֣ים וְאָחֹ֑ור וְכָת֣וּב אֵלֶ֔יהָ קִנִ֥ים וָהֶ֖גֶה וָהִֽי׃ |
