| [1]ܘܲܗܘ̤ܵܐ ܥܠܲܝ ܦܸܬ̣ܓ̣ܵܡܹܗ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܒܫܲܢ̄ܬܵܐ ܬܫܝܼܥܵܝܬܵܐ: ܒܲܥܣܲܪܬܵܐ ܒܝܲܪܚܵܐ ܕܥܸܣܪܵܐ ܠܡܹܐܡܲܪ. |
[1]IN the ninth year, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, the word of the LORD came to me, saying, |
| [2]ܒܲܪܢܵܫܵܐ: ܟܬ̣ܘܿܒ̣ ܠܵܟ ܫܡܹܗ ܕܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܗܵܢܵܐ: ܕܣܵܡܹ̇ܟ ܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܕܒ̣ܵܒܹܠ ܠܐܘܿܪܸܫܠܸܡ ܒܹܗ ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܗܵܢܵܐ. |
[2]Son of man, write down the name of this day, for on this very day the king of Babylon has set himself against Jerusalem. |
| [3]ܘܐܲܡܬܸ̇ܠ ܡܲܬ̣ܠܵܐ ܥܲܠ ܒܲܝܬܵܐ ܡܡܲܪܡܪܵܢܵܐ: ܘܐܸܡܲܪ ܠܗܘܿܢ: ܗܵܟܲܢܵܐ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܹܐ ܡܵܪ̈ܵܘܵܬ̣ܵܐ: ܬܦܝܼ ܩܲܕܼܣܵܐ ܘܣܘܿܟ ܒܹܗ ܡܲـ̈ـܝܵܐ. |
[3]And devise a parable concerning the rebellious house, and say to them, Thus says the LORD God: Set a pot on the fire and pour water into it; |
| [4]ܘܐܲܪܡܵܐ ܒܹܗ ܢܸܩܣܹ̈ܐ ܕܛܵܒ̣ܝܼܢ ܘܫܲܡܝܼܢܝܼܢ: ܟܲܬ̣ܦܵܐ ܕܲܫܡܝܼܛ ܓܲܪܡܵܗ̇ ܡ̣ܢ ܓܒܲـ̈ـܝܵܐ ܕܥܵـ̈ـܢܵܐ. |
[4]And put into it pieces of meat which are good and fat, a shoulder whose bone is broken from the choicest of the flock. |
| [5]ܘܓܲܪ̈ܡܹܐ ܬܚܹܝܬ̣ ܩܲܕܼܣܵܐ ܫܓ̣ܘܿܪ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ: ܘܐܵܘܩܸܕܼ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܬܚܘܿܬ̣ܵܘܗܝ. |
[5]And burn also the bones under the pot, and make it boil well, and let the bones seethe in it. |
| [6]ܡܸܛܠ ܕܗܵܟܲܢܵܐ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܹܐ ܡܵܪ̈ܵܘܵܬ̣ܵܐ: ܐܘܿ ܡܕܼܝܼܢ̄ܬܵܐ ܕܲܕܼܡܵܐ ܕܩܲܕܼܣܵܐ ܬܦܸܐ ܒܵܗ̇: ܘܥܵܘܼܠܵܗ̇ ܠܵܐ ܢܦܲܩ̣ ܡܸܢܵܗ̇: ܗܲܕܵܡ ܗܲܕܵܡ ܦܘܼܣܩܘܼܗ̇: ܘܦܸܣܵܐ ܠܵܐ ܢܸܦܸܠ ܥܠܹܝܗ̇. |
[6]Therefore thus says the LORD God: Woe to the bloody city, in which the pot is set on the fire, and whose iniquity has not gone out of it! Cut her piece by piece, so destroyed that no one would divide her by lot. |
| [7]ܡܸܛܠ ܕܲܕܼܡܵܗ̇ ܒܓ̣ܵܘܵܗ̇ ܗܘ̤ܵܐ: ܘܥܲܠ ܟܹܐܦܵܐ ܣܵܡ̇ܬܹ̇ܗ: ܘܠܵܐ ܐܹܫܲܕ̇ܬܹ̇ܗ ܒܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܕܠܵܐ ܢܸܬ̣ܟܲܣܸܐ ܥܠܵܘܗܝ ܥܲܦܪܵܐ. |
[7]For the blood is still in the midst of her; she splashed it upon the rock; she poured it not upon the ground to cover it with dust, |
| [8]ܕܬܸܣܲܩ ܚܸܡܬ̣ܵܐ ܠܦܘܼܪܥܵܢܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ: ܝܸܗ̄ܒܹ̇ܬ̣ ܕܡܵܗ̇ ܥܲܠ ܟܹܐܦܵܐ ܫܲܥܝܼܥܬܵܐ ܕܠܵܐ ܢܸܬ̣ܟܲܣܸܐ. |
[8]That it might cause my fury to come up, to take vengeance; I have set her blood on the top of a smooth rock, that it should not be covered. |
| [9]ܡܸܛܠ ܗܵܢܵܐ ܗܵܟܲܢܵܐ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܹܐ ܡܵܪ̈ܵܘܵܬ̣ܵܐ: ܐܘܿ ܡܕܼܝܼܢ̄ܬܵܐ ܕܲܕܼܡܵܐ: ܐܸܢܵܐ ܐܵܘܪܸܒ̣ ܡܲܥܡ̄ܪܵܐ: ܘܐܲܣܓܹ̇ܐ ܩܲܝܣܹ̈ܐ. |
[9]Therefore, thus says the LORD God: Woe to the bloody city! I will even enlarge the fireplace and increase the fuel, |
| [10]ܘܐܸܫܒ̇ܘܿܩ ܢܘܼܪܵܐ: ܘܢܸܒ̣ܫܲܠ ܒܸܣܪܵܐ: ܘܐܲܪܬܲܚ ܪܸܬ̣ܚܵܐ ܘܓܲܪ̈ܡܹܐ ܢܹܐܩܕ̇ܘܼܢ. |
[10]And I will kindle the fire, and the flesh shall be cooked and seethe, and the bones shall be burned. |
| [11]ܘܐܲܩܝܼܡܝܼܘܗܝ ܪܸܬ̣ܚܵܐ ܥܲܠ ܓܘܼܡܪܹ̈ܐ: ܕܢܸܚܲܡ ܘܢܸܬ̣ܦܲܫܲܪ ܢܚܵܫܵܗ̇: ܘܬܸܬ̣ܡ̱ܣܸܐ ܒܓ̣ܵܘܵܗ̇ ܛܲܢܦܘܼܬ̣ܵܗ̇: ܘܢܸܫܠܲܡ ܦܘܼܪܥܵܢܵܗ̇. |
[11]Then set the pot empty upon the coals, that it may become hot and that its brass may melt and the filthiness of it may be melted in it and that the scum of it may be consumed. |
| [12]ܐܲܝܟ ܬܹܐܢܹ̈ܐ ܟܪ̈ܝܼܗܵܬ̣ܵܐ: ܘܠܵܐ ܢܸܦܘܿܩ ܡܸܢܵܗ̇ ܣܘܿܓ̣ܵܐܐ ܕܥܵܘܼܠܵܗ̇: ܐܸܠܵܐ ܒܢܘܼܪܵܐ ܢܸܗܘܹܐ ܦܘܼܪܥܵܢܵܗ̇. |
[12]She has become like rotten figs, and her great iniquities have not gone out of her; her vengeance shall be in the fire. |
| [13]ܥܲܠ ܕܐܹܬ̇ܛܲܢܲܦܬ̇ܝ ܒܙܵܢܝܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ: ܘܥܲܠ ܕܕܲܟ̇ܝܼܬܹ̇ܟ̣ܝ ܘܠܵܐ ܐܸܬ̇ܕܲܟ̇ܝܼܬ̇ܝ ܡ̣ܢ ܛܲܢܦܘܼܬܹܟ̣ܝ: ܬܘܼܒ̣ ܠܵܐ ܬܸܬ̇ܕܲܟܹ̇ܝܢ: ܥܕܲܡܵܐ ܕܐܲܢܝܼܚ ܒܹܟ̣ܝ ܚܸܡܬ̣ܝ. |
[13]Because you have polluted yourself with lewdness, and because I have cleansed you and you were not cleansed from your filthiness, you shall not be cleansed any more till I have caused my fury to rest upon you. |
| [14]ܐܸܢܵܐ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܐܸܡ̇ܪܹܬ̣: ܘܡܲܝܬܸ̇ܐ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܘܥܵܒܹ̇ܕܼ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ: ܘܠܵܐ ܐܹܪܲܚܸܦ: ܘܠܵܐ ܐܹܚܘܼܣ ܘܠܵܐ ܐܹܪܲܚܸܡ: ܘܐܲܝܟ ܐܘܼܪ̈ܚܵܬܹܟ̣ܝ ܘܐܲܝܟ ܨܸܢ̈ܥܵܬܹܟ̣ܝ ܐܹܕ̇ܘܼܢܹܟ̣ܝ: ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܹܐ ܡܵܪ̈ܵܘܵܬ̣ܵܐ. |
[14]I the LORD have spoken it; it shall come to pass and I will do it; I will not have pity, neither will I spare nor will I have mercy; but I will judge you according to your ways; and according to your doings, shall I judge you, says the LORD God |
| [15]ܘܲܗܘ̤ܵܐ ܥܠܲܝ ܦܸܬ̣ܓ̣ܵܡܹܗ ܕܡܪܝܵܐ ܠܡܹܐܡܲܪ. |
[15]And the word of the LORD came to me, saying, |
| [16]ܒܲܪܢܵܫܵܐ: ܗܵܐ ܢܵܣܹ̇ܒ̣ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܡܸܢܵܟ ܪܸܓ̇ܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܥܲܝ̈ܢܲܝܟ ܒܲܡܚܘܿܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܡܸܢܫܹܠܝ: ܘܠܵܐ ܬܲܪܩܸܕܼ ܘܠܵܐ ܬܸܒ̣ܟܹ̇ܐ: ܘܠܵܐ ܬܲܫܚܸܠ ܕܸܡ̱ܥܬ̣ܵܟ. |
[16]Son of man, behold, I take away from you the desire of your eyes with a stroke; and you shall neither mourn nor weep, neither shall your tears run down. |
| [17]ܐܸܠܵܐ ܐܸܫܬܲܢܲܩ ܒܲܕܼܡܵܐ ܕܡܝܼ̈ܬܹܐ: ܘܒܹܝܬ̣ ܒܵܟܹ̇ܐ ܠܵܐ ܬܸܥܒܸ̇ܕܼ: ܘܡܵܐܢܲܝ̈ܟ ܚܙܘܿܩ ܥܠܲܝܟ: ܘܲܡܣܵܢܲܝ̈ܟ ܣܝܼܡ ܒܪܸ̈ܓ̣ܠܲܝܟ: ܘܠܵܐ ܬܸܬ̣ܥܲܛܲܦ ܥܲܠ ܣܸܦ̈ܘܵܬ̣ܵܟ: ܘܠܲܚܡܵܐ ܕܲܒ̣ܢܲܝ̈ܢܵܫܵܐ ܠܵܐ ܬܹܐܟ̣ܘܿܠ. |
[17]Forbear to cry, make no mourning for the dead, put on your robe and put shoes on your feet; and do not cover your lips nor eat the bread provided for you. |
| [18]ܘܐܸܡ̇ܪܹܬ̣ ܒܨܲܦܪܵܐ ܠܥܲܡܵܐ: ܘܡܝܼܬܲܬ̤ ܐܲܢ̄ܬܲܬ̣ܝ ܒܪܲܡܫܵܐ: ܘܲܠܨܲܦܪܹܗ ܕܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܐ̄̇ܪܹܢܵܐ: ܥܸܒ̣ܕܲܬ̣ ܐܲܝܟ ܕܐܸܬ̣ܦܲܩ̇ܕܹ̇ܬ̣. |
[18]So I spoke of it to the people in the morning, and at evening my wife died; and in the morning of the next day I did as I had been commanded. |
| [19]ܘܐܸܡܲܪܘ ܠܝܼ ܥܲܡܵܐ: ܠܵܐ ܡܚܵܘܹܐ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ ܠܲܢ ܡܵܢܵܘ ܗܵܢܵܐ ܕܥܵܒܹ̇ܕܼ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇. |
[19]And the people said to me, Will you not tell us the meaning of these strange things which you do? |
| [20]ܘܐܸܡ̇ܪܹܬ̣ ܠܗܘܿܢ: ܕܦܸܬ̣ܓ̣ܵܡܹܗ ܗ̄ܘܼ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܗܘ̤ܵܐ ܥܠܲܝ ܠܡܹܐܡܲܪ. |
[20]Then I said to them, This is the word of the LORD which came to me, saying, |
| [21]ܐܸܡܲܪ ܠܲܕܼܒܹܝܬ̣ ܝܑܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ: ܗܵܟܲܢܵܐ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܹܐ ܡܵܪ̈ܵܘܵܬ̣ܸܵܐ: ܗܵܐ ܡܛܵܘܸܫ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܡܲܩܕܲܫܝ ܫܘܼܒ̣ܚܵܐ ܕܥܘܼܫ̱ܢܟ̣ܘܿܢ: ܘܪܸܓ̇ܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܥܲܝܢܲܝ̈ܟ̇ܘܿܢ: ܘܚܘܼܣܵܝܵܐ ܕܢܲܦ̮̈ܫܵܬ̣ܟ̣ܘܿܢ: ܘܲܒ̣ܢܲܝ̈ܟ̇ܘܿܢ ܘܲܒ̣̈ܢܵܬ̣ܟ̣ܘܿܢ ܕܫܵܒ̣ܩܝܼܢ ܐ̄ܢܬ̇ܘܿܢ: ܒܚܲܪܒܵܐ ܢܸܦܠܘܿܢ. |
[21]Speak to the house of Israel, Thus says the LORD God: Behold, I will allow my sanctuary to be profaned, the excellency of your strength, the desire of your eyes, the cleanser of your souls; and your sons and your daughters whom you leave behind shall fall by the sword. |
| [22]ܘܬܸܥܒ̇ܕܼܘܼܢ ܐܲܝܟ ܕܥܸܒ̣ܕܹ̇ܬ̣: ܘܥܲܠ ܣܸܦ̈ܘܵܬ̣ܟ̣ܘܿܢ ܠܵܐ ܬܸܬ̣ܥܲܛܦܘܼܢ: ܘܠܲܚܡܵܐ ܕܲܒ̣ܢܲܝ̈ܢܵܫܵܐ ܠܵܐ ܬܹܐܟ̣ܠܘܼܢ. |
[22]And you shall do as I have done; you shall not cover your lips nor shall you eat the bread provided for mourners. |
| [23]ܘܣܲܥܪܟ̣ܘܿܢ ܠܵܐ ܢܸܣܬܲܦܲܪ: ܘܲܡܣܵܢܲܝ̈ܟ̇ܘܿܢ ܢܸܗܘܘܿܢ ܒܪܸ̈ܓ̣ܠܲܝܟ̇ܘܿܢ: ܘܠܵܐ ܬܸܒ̣ܟ̇ܘܿܢ ܘܠܵܐ ܬܲܪܩ̄ܕܼܘܼܢ: ܘܬܸܬ̣ܡ̱ܣܘܿܢ ܒܥܵܘܼܠܟ̣ܘܿܢ: ܘܬܸܬ̣ܒܲܝܐܘܼܢ ܐ̄ܢܵܫ ܥܲܠ ܐܲܚܘܼܗܝ. |
[23]And your hair shall not be cut, and your shoes shall be on your feet; you shall not mourn nor weep; but you shall pine away in your iniquities and shall try to comfort one another. |
| [24]ܘܢܸܗܘܹܐ ܠܟ̣ܘܿܢ ܚܲܙܩܝܼܐܹܝܠ ܐܵܬ̤ܵܐ: ܘܐܲܝܟ ܕܲܥܒܲܕܼ ܗܵܟܲܢܵܐ ܬܸܥܒ̇ܕܼܘܼܢ: ܘܬܸܕ̇ܥܘܼܢ ܕܐܸܢܵܐ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܡܵܪܹܐ ܡܵܪ̈ܵܘܵܬ̣ܵܐ. |
[24]Thus Ezekiel shall be to you for a sign; according to all that he has done shall you do; and you shall know that I am the LORD God. |
| [25]ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ ܕܹܝܢ ܒܲܪܢܵܫܵܐ: ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܕܢܵܣܹ̇ܒ̣ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܡܸܢܗܘܿܢ ܥܘܼܫܢܵܐ ܕܚܲܕܼܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܫܘܼܒ̣ܚܗܘܿܢ: ܘܪܸܓ̇ܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܥܲܝܢܲܝ̈ܗܘܿܢ: ܘܚܘܼܣܵܝܵܐ ܕܢܲܦ̮̈ܫܵܬ̣ܗܘܿܢ: ܘܲܒ̣ܢܲܝ̈ܗܘܿܢ ܘܲܒ̣̈ܢܵܬ̣ܗܘܿܢ. |
[25]But you, O Son of man, on the day when I take away from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and the cleanser of their souls, their sons and their daughters, |
| [26]ܒܹܗ ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܗܵܘܿ: ܢܹܐܬܹܐ ܠܘܵܬ̣ܵܟ ܡܸܬ̣ܦܲܨܝܵܢܵܐ: ܘܢܲܫ̱ܡܥܵܟ ܒܐܸܕܼܢܲܝ̈ܟ. |
[26]On that day a survivor shall come to you and cause you to hear it with your ears; |
| [27]ܘܢܸܦ̮ܬܲܚ ܦܘܼܡܵܟ ܡܸܬ̣ܦܲܨܝܵܢܵܐ ܒܹܗ ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܗܵܘܿ: ܘܲܬ̣ܡܲܠܸܠ ܘܬ̣ܘܼܒ̣ ܠܵܐ ܬܸܚܪܲܫ: ܘܬܸܗܘܹܐ ܠܗܘܿܢ ܐܵܬ̤ܵܐ: ܘܢܸܕ̇ܥܘܼܢ ܕܐܸܢܵܐ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ. |
[27]And on that day the survivor shall open your mouth, and you shall speak and be no more dumb; and you shall be a sign to them; and they shall know that I am the LORD |
