The King James Version (w/Strong's)
KJV+
[1]In the twelfth year, in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, [1]In the tenthH6224 yearH8141, in the tenthH6224 month, in the twelfthH8147[H6240] day of the monthH2320, the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came unto me, sayingH559,[H8800]
[2]Son of man, set thy face against Pharao king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against the whole of Egypt: [2]SonH1121 of manH120, setH7760[H8798] thy faceH6440 against PharaohH6547 kingH4428 of EgyptH4714, and prophesyH5012[H8734] against him, and against all EgyptH4714:
[3]and say, [3]SpeakH1696[H8761], and sayH559[H8804], Thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; Behold, I am against thee, PharaohH6547 kingH4428 of EgyptH4714, the greatH1419 dragonH8577 that liethH7257[H8802] in the midstH8432 of his riversH2975, which hath saidH559[H8804], My riverH2975 is mine own, and I have madeH6213 it for myselfH8804.
[4]And I will put hooks in thy jaws, and I will cause the fish of thy river to stick to thy sides, and I will bring thee up out of the midst of thy river: [4]But I will putH5414[H8804] hooksH2397[H8676][H2397] in thy jawsH3895, and I will cause the fishH1710 of thy riversH2975 to stickH1692[H8689] unto thy scalesH7193, and I will bring thee upH5927[H8689] out of the midstH8432 of thy riversH2975, and all the fishH1710 of thy riversH2975 shall stickH1692[H8799] unto thy scalesH7193.
[5]and I will quickly cast down thee and all the fish of thy river: thou shalt fall on the face of the plain, and shalt by no means be gathered, and shalt not be brought together: I have given thee for food to the wild beasts of the earth and to the fowls of the sky. [5]And I will leaveH5203[H8804] thee thrown into the wildernessH4057, thee and all the fishH1710 of thy riversH2975: thou shalt fallH5307[H8799] upon the openH6440 fieldsH7704; thou shalt not be brought togetherH622[H8735], nor gatheredH6908[H8735]: I have givenH5414[H8804] thee for meatH402 to the beastsH2416 of the fieldH776 and to the fowlsH5775 of the heavenH8064.
[6]And all the dwellers in Egypt shall know that I am the Lord, because thou hast been a staff of reed to the house of Israel. [6]And all the inhabitantsH3427[H8802] of EgyptH4714 shall knowH3045[H8804] that I am the LORDH3068, because they have been a staffH4938 of reedH7070 to the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478.
[7]When they took hold of thee with their hand, thou didst break: and when every hand was clapped against them, and when they leaned on thee, thou wast utterly broken, and didst crush the loins of them all. [7]When they took holdH8610[H8800] of thee by thy handH3709, thou didst breakH7533[H8735], and rendH1234[H8804] all their shoulderH3802: and when they leanedH8172[H8736] upon thee, thou brakestH7665[H8735], and madest all their loinsH4975 to be at a standH5976.[H8689]
[8]Therefore thus saith the Lord; Behold, I will bring a sword upon thee, and will cut off from thee man and beast; [8]Therefore thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; Behold, I will bringH935[H8688] a swordH2719 upon thee, and cut offH3772[H8689] manH120 and beast out of theeH929.
[9]and the land of Egypt shall be ruined and desert; and they shall know that I am the Lord; because thou sayest, The rivers are mine, and I made them. [9]And the landH776 of EgyptH4714 shall be desolateH8077 and wasteH2723; and they shall knowH3045[H8804] that I am the LORDH3068: because he hath saidH559[H8804], The riverH2975 is mine, and I have madeH6213 itH8804.
[10]Therefore, behold, I am against thee, and against all thy rivers, and I will give up the land of Egypt to desolation, and the sword, and destruction, from Magdol and Syene even to the borders of the Ethiopians. [10]Behold, therefore I am against thee, and against thy riversH2975, and I will makeH5414[H8804] the landH776 of EgyptH4714 utterlyH2721 wasteH2723 and desolateH8077, from the towerH4024 of SyeneH5482 even unto the borderH1366 of EthiopiaH3568.
[11]No foot of man shall pass through it, and no foot of beast shall pass through it, and it shall not be inhabited for forty years. [11]No footH7272 of manH120 shall pass throughH5674[H8799] it, nor footH7272 of beastH929 shall pass throughH5674[H8799] it, neither shall it be inhabitedH3427[H8799] fortyH705 yearsH8141.
[12]And I will cause her land to be utterly destroyed in the midst of a land that is desolate, and her cities shall be desolate forty years in the midst of cities that are desolate: and I will disperse Egypt among the nations, and will utterly scatter them into the countries. [12]And I will makeH5414[H8804] the landH776 of EgyptH4714 desolateH8077 in the midstH8432 of the countriesH776 that are desolateH8074[H8737], and her citiesH5892 amongH8432 the citiesH5892 that are laid wasteH2717[H8716] shall be desolateH8077 fortyH705 yearsH8141: and I will scatterH6327[H8689] the EgyptiansH4714 among the nationsH1471, and will disperseH2219[H8765] them through the countriesH776.
[13]Thus saith the Lord; After forty years I will gather the Egyptians from the nations among whom they have been scattered; [13]Yet thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; At the endH7093 of fortyH705 yearsH8141 will I gatherH6908[H8762] the EgyptiansH4714 from the peopleH5971 whither they were scatteredH6327:[H8738]
[14]and I will turn the captivity of the Egyptians, and will cause them to dwell in the land of Phathore, in the land whence they were taken; [14]And I will bring againH7725[H8804] the captivityH7622 of EgyptH4714, and will cause them to returnH7725[H8689] into the landH776 of PathrosH6624, into the landH776 of their habitationH4351; and they shall be there a baseH8217 kingdomH4467.
[15]and it shall be a base kingdom beyond all other kingdoms; it shall not any more be exalted over the nations; and I will make them few in number, that they may not be great among the nations. [15]It shall be the basestH8217 of the kingdomsH4467; neither shall it exaltH5375[H8691] itself any more above the nationsH1471: for I will diminishH4591[H8689] them, that they shall no more ruleH7287[H8800] over the nationsH1471.
[16]And they shall no more be to the house of Israel a confidence bringing iniquity to remembrance, when they follow after them; and they shall know that I am the Lord. [16]And it shall be no more the confidenceH4009 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478, which bringethH2142 their iniquityH5771 to remembranceH2142[H8688], when they shall lookH6437[H8800] afterH310 them: but they shall knowH3045[H8804] that I am the LordH136 GODH3069.
[17]And it came to pass in the twenty-seventh year, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying, [17]And it came to pass in the sevenH7651 and twentiethH6242 yearH8141, in the firstH7223 month, in the firstH259 day of the monthH2320, the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came unto me, sayingH559,[H8800]
[18]Son of man, Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre; every head was bald, and every shoulder peeled; yet there was no reward to him or to his army serving against Tyre, nor for the service wherewith they served against it. [18]SonH1121 of manH120, NebuchadrezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894 causedH5647 his armyH2428 to serveH5647[H8689] a greatH1419 serviceH5656 against TyrusH6865: every headH7218 was made baldH7139[H8716], and every shoulderH3802 was peeledH4803[H8803]: yet had he no wagesH7939, nor his armyH2428, for TyrusH6865, for the serviceH5656 that he had servedH5647 against itH8804:
[19]Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will give to Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon the land of Egypt, and he shall take the plunder thereof, and seize the spoils thereof; and it shall be a reward for his army. [19]Therefore thus saithH559[H8804] the LordH136 GODH3069; Behold, I will giveH5414[H8802] the landH776 of EgyptH4714 unto NebuchadrezzarH5019 kingH4428 of BabylonH894; and he shall takeH5375[H8804] her multitudeH1995, and takeH7997[H8804] her spoilH7998, and takeH962[H8804] her preyH957; and it shall be the wagesH7939 for his armyH2428.
[20]In return for his service wherewith he served against Tyre, I have given him the land of Egypt; thus saith the Lord God: [20]I have givenH5414[H8804] him the landH776 of EgyptH4714 for his labourH6468 wherewith he servedH5647[H8804] against it, because they wroughtH6213[H8804] for me, saithH5002[H8803] the LordH136 GODH3069.
[21]In that day shall a horn spring forth for all the house of Israel, and I will give thee an open mouth in the midst of them; and they shall know that I am the Lord. [21]In that dayH3117 will I causeH6779 the hornH7161 of the houseH1004 of IsraelH3478 to bud forthH6779[H8686], and I will giveH5414[H8799] thee the openingH6610 of the mouthH6310 in the midstH8432 of them; and they shall knowH3045[H8804] that I am the LORDH3068.
