[1]And in the eleventh year, in the third month, and in the first day of the month the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, |

[2]Son of man, speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, and to his multitude, Whom art thou like in thy greatness? |

[3]Behold, Assyria was like a cedar in Lebanon with fair branches, and with thick shadowing boughs, and shot up very high, and his top was among the thick boughs. |
| [4]ὕδωρN3-NSN ἐκτρέφωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-ASM ὁRA-NSF ἄβυσσοςN2-NSF ὑψόωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-ASM ὁRA-APM ποταμόςN2-APM αὐτόςRD-GSF ἄγωVBI-AAI3S κύκλοςN2-DSM ὁRA-GPN φυτόνN2N-GPN αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ὁRA-APN σύστεμαN3M-APN αὐτόςRD-GSF ἐκ ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI3S εἰςP πᾶςA3-APN ὁRA-APN ξύλονN2N-APN ὁRA-GSN πεδίονN2N-GSN |
[4]The waters nourished him, and the deep exalted him on high with her rivers running round about his plants, and sent out her little rivers unto all the trees of the field. |

[5]Therefore his height was exalted above all the trees of the field, and his boughs were multiplied, and his branches were long, because of the multitude of the waters, which the deep sent out. |

[6]All the fowls of the heaven made their nests in his boughs, and under his branches did all the beasts of the field bring forth their young, and under his shadow dwelt all mighty nations. |
| [7]καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S καλόςA1-NSM ἐνP ὁRA-DSN ὕψοςN3E-DSN αὐτόςRD-GSM διάP ὁRA-ASN πλῆθοςN3E-ASN ὁRA-GPM κλάδοςN2-GPM αὐτόςRD-GSM ὅτιC γίγνομαιVCI-API3P ὁRA-NPF ῥίζαN1S-NPF αὐτόςRD-GSM εἰςP ὕδωρN3-ASN πολύςA1P-ASN |
[7]Thus was he fair in his greatness, and in the length of his branches: for his root was near great waters. |
| [8]κυπάρισσοςN2-NPF τοιοῦτοςA1-NPF οὐD γίγνομαιVCI-API3P ἐνP ὁRA-DSM παράδεισοςN2-DSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM καίC πίτυςN3U-NPF οὐD ὅμοιοςA1A-NPF ὁRA-DPF παραφυάςN3D-DPF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ἐλάτηN1-NPF οὐD γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3P ὅμοιοςA1A-NPF ὁRA-DPM κλάδοςN2-DPM αὐτόςRD-GSM πᾶςA3-NSN ξύλονN2N-NSN ἐνP ὁRA-DSM παράδεισοςN2-DSM ὁRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM οὐD ὁμοιόωVCI-API3S αὐτόςRD-DSM ἐνP ὁRA-DSN κάλλοςN3E-DSN αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[8]The cedars in the garden of God could not hide him: no fir tree was like his branches, and the chestnut trees were not like his boughs: all the trees in the garden of God were not like unto him in his beauty. |

[9]I made him fair by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied him. |

[10]Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Because he is lift up on high, and hath shot up his top among the thick boughs, and his heart is lift up in his height, |

[11]I have therefore delivered him into the hands of the mightiest among the heathen: he shall handle him, for I have cast him away for his wickedness. |
| [12]καίC ἐκὀλεθρεύωVAI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-ASM ἀλλότριοςA1A-NPM λοιμόςN2-NPM ἀπόP ἔθνοςN3E-GPN καίC καταβάλλωVBI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-ASM ἐπίP ὁRA-GPN ὄροςN3E-GPN ἐνP πᾶςA1S-DPF ὁRA-DPF φάραγξN3G-DPF πίπτωVAI-AAI3P ὁRA-NPM κλάδοςN2-NPM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC συντρίβωVDI-API3S ὁRA-NPN στέλεχοςN3E-NPN αὐτόςRD-GSM ἐνP πᾶςA3-DSN πεδίονN2N-DSN ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF καίC καταβαίνωVZI-AAI3P ἀπόP ὁRA-GSF σκέπηςN1-GSF αὐτόςRD-GPM πᾶςA3-NPM ὁRA-NPM λαόςN2-NPM ὁRA-GPN ἔθνοςN3E-GPN καίC ἐδαφίζωVAI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-ASM |
[12]And the strangers have destroyed him, even the terrible nations, and they have left him upon the mountains, and in all the valleys his branches are fallen, and his boughs are broken by all the rivers of the land: and all the people of the earth are departed from his shadow, and have forsaken him. |
| [13]ἐπίP ὁRA-ASF πτῶσιςN3I-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM ἀναπαύωVAI-AMI3P πᾶςA3-NPN ὁRA-NPN πετεινόνN2N-NPN ὁRA-GSM οὐρανόςN2-GSM καίC ἐπίP ὁRA-APN στέλεχοςN3E-APN αὐτόςRD-GSM γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3P πᾶςA3-NPN ὁRA-NPN θηρίονN2N-NPN ὁRA-GSM ἀγρόςN2-GSM |
[13]Upon his ruin shall all the fowls of the heaven remain, and all the beasts of the field shall be upon his branches, |
| [14]ὅπωςC μήD ὑψόωVC-APS3P ἐνP ὁRA-DSN μέγεθοςN3E-DSN αὐτόςRD-GPM πᾶςA3-NPN ὁRA-NPN ξύλονN2N-NPN ὁRA-NPN ἐνP ὁRA-DSN ὕδωρN3T-DSN καίC οὐD δίδωμιVAI-AAI3P ὁRA-ASF ἀρχήN1-ASF αὐτόςRD-GPM εἰςP μέσοςA1-ASM νεφέληN1-GPF καίC οὐD ἵστημιVAI-AAI3P ἐνP ὁRA-DSN ὕψοςN3E-DSN αὐτόςRD-GPM πρόςP αὐτόςRD-APN πᾶςA3-NPM ὁRA-NPM πίνωV1-PAPNPM ὕδωρN3-ASN πᾶςA3-NPM δίδωμιVCI-API3P εἰςP θάνατοςN2-ASM εἰςP γῆN1-GSF βάθοςN3E-ASN ἐνP μέσοςA1-DSM υἱόςN2-GPM ἄνθρωποςN2-GPM πρόςP καταβαίνωV1-PAPAPM εἰςP βόθροςN2-ASM |
[14]So that none of all the trees by the waters shall be exalted by their height, neither shall shoot up their top among the thick boughs, neither shall their leaves stand up in their height, which drink so much water: for they are all delivered unto death in the nether parts of the earth in the midst of the children of men among them that go down to the pit. |
| [15]ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-NSM ἐνP ὅςRR-DSF ἡμέραN1A-DSF καταβαίνωVZI-AAI3S εἰςP ᾅδηςN1M-GSM πενθέωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-ASM ὁRA-NSF ἄβυσσοςN2-NSF καίC ἐπιἵστημιVAI-AAI1S ὁRA-APM ποταμόςN2-APM αὐτόςRD-GSF καίC κωλύωVAI-AAI1S πλῆθοςN3E-ASN ὕδωρN3T-GSN καίC σκοτάζωVAI-AAI3S ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-ASM ὁRA-NSM *λίβανοςN2-NSM πᾶςA3-NPN ὁRA-NPN ξύλονN2N-NPN ὁRA-GSN πεδίονN2N-GSN ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-DSM ἐκλύωVCI-API3P |
[15]Thus saith the Lord God, In the day when he went down to hell, I caused them to mourn, and I covered the deep for him, and I did restrain the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed: I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted. |
| [16]ἀπόP ὁRA-GSF φωνήN1-GSF ὁRA-GSF πτῶσιςN3I-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM σείωVCI-API3P ὁRA-NPN ἔθνοςN3E-NPN ὅτεD καταβιβάζωV1I-IAI1S αὐτόςRD-ASM εἰςP ᾅδηςN1M-GSM μετάP ὁRA-GPM καταβαίνωV1-PAPGPM εἰςP λάκκοςN2-ASM καίC παρακαλέωV2I-IAI3P αὐτόςRD-ASM ἐνP γῆN1-DSF πᾶςA3-NPN ὁRA-NPN ξύλονN2N-NPN ὁRA-GSF τρυφήN1-GSF καίC ὁRA-NPN ἐκλεκτόςA1-NPN ὁRA-GSM *λίβανοςN2-GSM πᾶςA3-NPN ὁRA-NPN πίνωV1-PAPNPN ὕδωρN3-ASN |
[16]I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him down to hell, with them that descend into the pit, and all the excellent trees of Eden, and the best of Lebanon: even all that are nourished with waters, shall be comforted in the nether parts of the earth. |

[17]They also went down to hell with him unto them that be slain with the sword, and his arm, and they that dwelt under his shadow in the midst of the heathen. |

[18]To whom art thou thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet thou shalt be cast down with the trees of Eden unto the nether parts of the earth: thou shalt sleep in the midst of the uncircumcised, with them that be slain by the sword: this is Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord God. |
