| [1]ויוצאני אל החצר החיצונה־הדרך דרך הצפון ויבאני אל הלשכה אשר נגד הגזרה ואשר נגד הבנין־אל הצפון |
[1]THEN he brought me forth into the outer court, to the way toward the north; and he brought me into the room opposite the separate place and opposite the building toward the north. |
| [2]אל פני ארך אמות המאה פתח הצפון והרחב חמשים אמות |
[2]Towards the place where he measured a hundred cubits, which is at the north gate, and the breadth of it was fifty cubits. |
| [3]נגד העשרים אשר לחצר הפנימי ונגד רצפה אשר לחצר החיצונה־אתיק אל פני אתיק בשלשים |
[3]Opposite the gate of the inner court, over against the pavement of the outer court, was gallery above gallery in three stories. |
| [4]ולפני הלשכות מהלך עשר אמות רחב אל הפנימית־דרך אמה אחת ופתחיהם לצפון |
[4]And before the rooms was a passage ten cubits broad, and its length a hundred cubits; and the door of the passage was toward the north. |
| [5]והלשכות העליונת קצרות כי יוכלו אתיקים מהנה מהתחתנות ומהתכונות־בנין |
[5]Now the upper rooms were smaller because the stairway went through them. |
| [6]כי משלשות הנה ואין להן עמודים כעמודי החצרות על כן נאצל מהתחתונות ומהתיכנות־מהארץ |
[6]For they were in three stories, but had no pillars like the pillars of the court; therefore the upper rooms were smaller than the lower rooms and the middle ones. |
| [7]וגדר אשר לחוץ לעמת הלשכות דרך החצר החצונה אל פני הלשכות־ארכו חמשים אמה |
[7]And the wall that was outside, which is opposite the rooms, was fifty cubits long. |
| [8]כי ארך הלשכות אשר לחצר החצונה־חמשים אמה והנה על פני ההיכל מאה אמה |
[8]For the length of the rooms that were in the outer court was fifty cubits; and those before the temple were a hundred cubits. |
| [9]ומתחתה לשכות [Q: ומתחת הלשכות] האלה־המבוא [Q: המביא] מהקדים בבאו להנה מהחצר החצנה |
[9]And the door of the room of the vestibule which goes into the outer court was on the east. |
| [10]ברחב גדר החצר דרך הקדים אל פני הגזרה ואל פני הבנין־לשכות |
[10]The rooms were in the breadth of the wall of the court at the eastern gate opposite the separate place, and in front of the building where the rooms were. |
| [11]ודרך לפניהם כמראה הלשכות אשר דרך הצפון כארכן כן רחבן וכל מוצאיהן וכמשפטיהן וכפתחיהן |
[11]And the passage in front of them was like the appearance of the rooms which were toward the north, and the rooms were of the same length and breadth; and all their exits, entrances, their appearance, and their doors were alike. |
| [12]וכפתחי הלשכות אשר דרך הדרום פתח בראש דרך דרך בפני הגדרת הגינה דרך הקדים בבואן |
[12]Like to the doors of the rooms that were toward the south was a door in the head of the way which was directly before the wall toward the place where the eastern valley starts. |
| [13]ויאמר אלי לשכות הצפון לשכות הדרום אשר אל פני הגזרה הנה לשכות הקדש אשר יאכלו שם הכהנים אשר קרובים ליהוה קדשי הקדשים שם יניחו קדשי הקדשים והמנחה והחטאת והאשם־כי המקום קדש |
[13]Then he said to me, The north rooms and the south rooms, which are in front of the separate place, they are rooms where the priests who make offerings to the LORD eat the most holy things; there they lay the most holy things, the meat offering, the sin offering, and the trespass offering: for the place is holy. |
| [14]בבאם הכהנים ולא יצאו מהקדש אל החצר החיצונה ושם יניחו בגדיהם אשר ישרתו בהן כי קדש הנה ילבשו [Q: ולבשו] בגדים אחרים וקרבו אל אשר לעם |
[14]When the priests enter therein, they shall not go out of the holy place into the outer court, but there they shall lay their garments in which they minister; for they are holy; and they shall put on other garments; then they can make offerings on behalf of the people |
| [15]וכלה את מדות הבית הפנימי והוציאני דרך השער אשר פניו דרך הקדים ומדדו סביב סביב |
[15]Now when he had finished measuring the inner house, he took me out toward the gate that looks toward the east, and he measured it round about. |
| [16]מדד רוח הקדים בקנה המדה־חמש אמות [Q: מאות] קנים בקנה המדה סביב |
[16]He measured the east side, five hundred reeds with the measuring reed round about. |
| [17]מדד רוח הצפון־חמש מאות קנים בקנה המדה סביב |
[17]He measured the north side, five hundred reeds with the measuring reed round about. |
| [18]את רוח הדרום מדד־חמש מאות קנים בקנה המדה |
[18]He measured the south side, five hundred reeds with the measuring reed. |
| [19]סבב אל רוח הים מדד חמש מאות קנים בקנה המדה |
[19]He measured the west side, five hundred reeds with the measuring reed. |
| [20]לארבע רוחות מדדו חומה לו סביב סביב־ארך חמש מאות ורחב חמש מאות להבדיל בין הקדש לחל |
[20]He measured it on the four sides; and the wall round about, five hundred reeds long and five hundred broad, making a separation between the sanctuary and the unconsecrated ground |
