| [1]Ἀδελφοί, ἐὰν καὶ προλημφθῇ ἄνθρωπος ἔν τινι παραπτώματι, ὑμεῖς οἱ πνευματικοὶ καταρτίζετε τὸν τοιοῦτον ἐν πνεύματι πραΰτητος, σκοπῶν σεαυτόν, μὴ καὶ σὺ πειρασθῇς. |
[1]MY brethren, if any one be found at fault, you who are spiritual, restore him in a spirit of meekness; and be careful test you also be tempted. |
| [2]ἀλλήλων τὰ βάρη βαστάζετε, καὶ οὕτως ⸀ἀναπληρώσετε τὸν νόμον τοῦ Χριστοῦ. |
[2]Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. |
| [3]εἰ γὰρ δοκεῖ τις εἶναί τι μηδὲν ὤν, ⸂φρεναπατᾷ ἑαυτόν⸃· |
[3]For if man thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. |
| [4]τὸ δὲ ἔργον ἑαυτοῦ δοκιμαζέτω ἕκαστος, καὶ τότε εἰς ἑαυτὸν μόνον τὸ καύχημα ἕξει καὶ οὐκ εἰς τὸν ἕτερον, |
[4]But let every man examine his own work, and then may he glory within himself alone, and not among others. |
| [5]ἕκαστος γὰρ τὸ ἴδιον φορτίον βαστάσει. |
[5]For every man shall bear his own burden. |
| [6]Κοινωνείτω δὲ ὁ κατηχούμενος τὸν λόγον τῷ κατηχοῦντι ἐν πᾶσιν ἀγαθοῖς. |
[6]Let him who is taught the word, become a partaker with him who teaches all good things. |
| [7]μὴ πλανᾶσθε, θεὸς οὐ μυκτηρίζεται· ὃ γὰρ ⸀ἐὰν σπείρῃ ἄνθρωπος, τοῦτο καὶ θερίσει· |
[7]Do not be deceived; God is not deceived: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap. |
| [8]ὅτι ὁ σπείρων εἰς τὴν σάρκα ἑαυτοῦ ἐκ τῆς σαρκὸς θερίσει φθοράν, ὁ δὲ σπείρων εἰς τὸ πνεῦμα ἐκ τοῦ πνεύματος θερίσει ζωὴν αἰώνιον. |
[8]He who sows things of the flesh, from the flesh shall reap corruption; he who sows things of the Spirit, from the Spirit shall reap life everlasting. |
| [9]τὸ δὲ καλὸν ποιοῦντες μὴ ⸀ἐγκακῶμεν, καιρῷ γὰρ ἰδίῳ θερίσομεν μὴ ἐκλυόμενοι. |
[9]Let us not be weary in welldoing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. |
| [10]ἄρα οὖν ὡς καιρὸν ⸀ἔχομεν, ἐργαζώμεθα τὸ ἀγαθὸν πρὸς πάντας, μάλιστα δὲ πρὸς τοὺς οἰκείους τῆς πίστεως. |
[10]Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, especially to those who belong to the household of faith. |
| [11]Ἴδετε πηλίκοις ὑμῖν γράμμασιν ἔγραψα τῇ ἐμῇ χειρί. |
[11]You can see how long a letter I have written to you with my own hand. |
| [12]ὅσοι θέλουσιν εὐπροσωπῆσαι ἐν σαρκί, οὗτοι ἀναγκάζουσιν ὑμᾶς περιτέμνεσθαι, μόνον ⸀ἵνα τῷ σταυρῷ τοῦ ⸀Χριστοῦ ⸀μὴ διώκωνται· |
[12]Those who desire to boast in the things of the flesh, are the ones who compel you to be circumcised only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. |
| [13]οὐδὲ γὰρ οἱ ⸀περιτεμνόμενοι αὐτοὶ νόμον φυλάσσουσιν, ἀλλὰ θέλουσιν ὑμᾶς περιτέμνεσθαι ἵνα ἐν τῇ ὑμετέρᾳ σαρκὶ καυχήσωνται. |
[13]For not even they who are circumcised obey the law; but they want you to be circumcised so that they may boast over your flesh. |
| [14]ἐμοὶ δὲ μὴ γένοιτο καυχᾶσθαι εἰ μὴ ἐν τῷ σταυρῷ τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, διʼ οὗ ἐμοὶ κόσμος ἐσταύρωται ⸀κἀγὼ κόσμῳ. |
[14]But as for me, I have nothing on which to boast, except the cross of our LORD Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me and I am crucified unto the world. |
| [15]⸂οὔτε γὰρ⸃ περιτομή τί ⸀ἐστιν οὔτε ἀκροβυστία, ἀλλὰ καινὴ κτίσις. |
[15]For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision is anything, nor uncircumcision, but it is a new creation that counts. |
| [16]καὶ ὅσοι τῷ κανόνι τούτῳ στοιχήσουσιν, εἰρήνη ἐπʼ αὐτοὺς καὶ ἔλεος, καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν Ἰσραὴλ τοῦ θεοῦ. |
[16]And upon those who follow this path be peace and mercy; and upon the Israel of God, be peace and mercy. |
| [17]Τοῦ λοιποῦ κόπους μοι μηδεὶς παρεχέτω, ἐγὼ γὰρ τὰ στίγματα ⸀τοῦ Ἰησοῦ ἐν τῷ σώματί μου βαστάζω. |
[17]From henceforth let no man trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of our LORD Jesus Christ. |
| [18]Ἡ χάρις τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ μετὰ τοῦ πνεύματος ὑμῶν, ἀδελφοί· ἀμήν. |
[18]My brethren, the grace of our LORD Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. |
