| [2]And I will make my covenant between me and you and will multiply you exceedingly. |
[2]And I will makeH5414 H8799my covenantH1285 between me and thee, and will multiplyH7235 H8686thee exceedinglyH3966.[H3966] |
| [3]And Abram fell on his face; and God talked with him, saying |

| [4]As for me, behold, I am establishing my covenant with you, and you shall be a father of many peoples. |
[4]As for meH589, behold, my covenantH1285 is with thee, and thou shalt be a fatherH1 of manyH1995 nationsH1471. |
| [5]Neither shall your name any more be called Abram, but your name shall be Abraham; for I have made you a father of many peoples. |
[5]Neither shall thy nameH8034 any more be calledH7121 H8735AbramH87, but thy nameH8034 shall be AbrahamH85; for a fatherH1 of manyH1995 nationsH1471 have I made theeH5414.[H8804] |
| [6]And I will make you fruitful, and multiply you exceedingly; and I will make you father of many nations, and kings shall come out of your loins |
[6]And I will makeH6509 thee exceedingH3966 H3966fruitfulH6509 , H8689and I will makeH5414 H8804nationsH1471 of thee, and kingsH4428 shall come outH3318 of theeH8799. |
| [7]And I will establish my covenant between me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, and I will be God to you and to your descendants after you. |

| [8]And I will give to you, and your descendants after you, the land in which you sojourn, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting inheritance; and I will be their God. |

| [9]And God said to Abraham, You shall keep my covenant, you, and your descendants after you throughout their generations. |

| [10]This is my covenant, which you shall keep between me and you and your descendants after you: Every male among you shall be circumcised. |

| [11]And you shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant between me and you. |

| [12]And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every male throughout your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, who is not of your descendants. |

| [13]He that is born in your house, and he that is bought with your money, shall be circumcised; and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. |

| [14]And the uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that person shall be cut off from his people; for he has broken my covenant |
[14]And the uncircumcisedH6189 man childH2145 whoseH834 fleshH1320 of his foreskinH6190 is not circumcisedH4135 , H8735that soulH5315 shall be cut offH3772 H8738from his peopleH5971; he hath brokenH6565 H8689my covenantH1285. |
| [15]Then God said to Abraham, As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, for Sarah is her name. |
[15]And GodH430 saidH559 H8799unto AbrahamH85, As for SaraiH8297 thy wifeH802, thou shalt not callH7121 H8799her nameH8034 SaraiH8297, butH3588 SarahH8283 shall her name beH8034. |
| [16]And I will bless her, and also I will give you a son by her; yea, I will bless him and make nations of him; and the kings of the people shall come from him. |
[16]And I will blessH1288 H8765her, and giveH5414 H8804thee a sonH1121 also of her: yea, I will blessH1288 H8765her, and she shall be a mother of nationsH1471; kingsH4428 of people shall be of herH5971. |
| [17]Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed and said in his heart, Shall a son be born to him who is a hundred years old? Or shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child? |

| [18]And Abraham said to God, O that Ishmael might live in thy presence! |
[18]And AbrahamH85 saidH559 H8799unto GodH430, O thatH3863 IshmaelH3458 might liveH2421 H8799before theeH6440! |
| [19]And God said to Abraham, Truly, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son; and you shall call his name Isaac; and I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant, and with his descendants after him. |
[19]And GodH430 saidH559 , H8799SarahH8283 thy wifeH802 shall bearH3205 H8802thee a sonH1121 indeedH61; and thou shalt callH7121 H8804his nameH8034 IsaacH3327: and I will establishH6965 H8689my covenantH1285 with him for an everlastingH5769 covenantH1285, and with his seedH2233 after himH310. |
| [20]And as for Ishmael, I have heard you; behold, I have blessed him, and will multiply him, and will make him exceedingly great; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation. |
[20]And as for IshmaelH3458, I have heard theeH8085 : H8804Behold, I have blessedH1288 H8765him, and will make him fruitfulH6509 , H8689and will multiplyH7235 H8689him exceedinglyH3966 ; H3966twelveH6240 H8147princesH5387 shall he begetH3205 , H8686and I will make himH5414 H8804a greatH1419 nationH1471. |
| [21]But I will establish my covenant with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this set time next year. |
[21]But my covenantH1285 will I establishH6965 H8686with IsaacH3327, which SarahH8283 shall bearH3205 H8799unto thee at this set timeH4150 in the nextH312 yearH8141. |
| [22]And when God was through talking with him, he went up from Abraham |
[22]And he left offH3615 H8762talkingH1696 H8763with him, and GodH430 went upH5927 H8799from AbrahamH85. |
| [23]And Abraham took Ishmael his son and all of those that were born in his house and all of those that were bought with his money, every male among the men of Abraham's household, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in that very day, as God had said unto him. |
[23]And AbrahamH85 tookH3947 H8799IshmaelH3458 his sonH1121, and all that were bornH3211 in his houseH1004, and all that were boughtH4736 with his moneyH3701, every maleH2145 among the menH582 of Abraham'sH85 houseH1004; and circumcisedH4135 H8799the fleshH1320 of their foreskinH6190 in the selfsameH6106 dayH3117, as GodH430 had saidH1696 unto himH8765. |
| [24]And Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. |
[24]And AbrahamH85 was ninetyH8673 yearsH8141 oldH1121 and nineH8672, when he was circumcisedH4135 H8736in the fleshH1320 of his foreskinH6190. |
| [25]And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin. |
[25]And IshmaelH3458 his sonH1121 was thirteenH6240 H7969yearsH8141 oldH1121, when he was circumcisedH4135 H8736in the fleshH1320 of his foreskinH6190. |
| [26]In that very day was Abraham circumcised and Ishmael his son |
[26]In the selfsameH6106 dayH3117 was AbrahamH85 circumcisedH4135 , H8738and IshmaelH3458 his sonH1121. |
| [27]And all the men of his household, both born in the house and bought with money. He also circumcised some of the strangers with him |
[27]And all the menH582 of his houseH1004, bornH3211 in the houseH1004, and boughtH4736 with moneyH3701 of the strangerH1121 , H5236were circumcisedH4135 with himH8738. |
