[12]And the menH582 saidH559 H8799unto LotH3876, Hast thou hereH6311 anyH4310 besides? son in lawH2860, and thy sonsH1121, and thy daughtersH1323, and whatsoeverH834 thou hast in the cityH5892, bring them outH3318 H8685of this placeH4725:
[13]For weH587 will destroyH7843[H8688] H853this placeH4725, because the cry of themH6818 is waxen greatH1431 H8804beforeH854 the faceH6440 of the LORDH3068; and the LORDH3068 hath sentH7971 H8762us to destroyH7843 itH8763.
[14]And LotH3876 went outH3318 , H8799and spakeH1696 H8762unto his sons in lawH2860, which marriedH3947 H8802his daughtersH1323, and saidH559 , H8799UpH6965 , H8798get you outH3318 H8798of this placeH4725; for the LORDH3068 will destroyH7843 H8688this cityH5892. But he seemed as one that mockedH6711 H8764untoH5869 his sons in lawH2860.
[15]And whenH3644 the morningH7837 aroseH5927 , H8804then the angelsH4397 hastenedH213 H8686LotH3876, sayingH559 , H8800AriseH6965 , H8798takeH3947 H8798thy wifeH802, and thy twoH8147 daughtersH1323, which are hereH4672 ; H8737lest thou be consumedH5595 H8735in the iniquityH5771 of the cityH5892.
[16]And while he lingeredH4102 , H8698the menH582 laid holdH2388 H8686upon his handH3027, and upon the handH3027 of his wifeH802, and upon the handH3027 of his twoH8147 daughtersH1323; the LORDH3068 being mercifulH2551 unto him: and they brought him forthH3318 , H8686and set himH3240 H8686withoutH2351 the cityH5892.
[17]And it came to pass, when they had brought them forthH3318 H8687abroadH2351, that he saidH559 , H8799EscapeH4422 H8734forH5921 thy lifeH5315; lookH5027 H8686not behind theeH310, neither stayH5975 H8799thou in all the plainH3603; escapeH4422 H8734to the mountainH2022, lest thou be consumedH5595.[H8735]
[18]And LotH3876 saidH559 H8799unto them, Oh, not so, my LordH113:
[19]Behold now, thy servantH5650 hath foundH4672 H8804graceH2580 in thy sightH5869, and thou hast magnifiedH1431 H8686thy mercyH2617, which thou hast shewedH6213 H8804unto meH5978 in savingH2421 H8687my lifeH5315; and I cannotH3201 H8799escapeH4422 H8736to the mountainH2022, lest some evilH7451 takeH1692 H8799me, and I dieH4191:[H8804]
[20]Behold now, this cityH5892 is nearH7138 to fleeH5127 H8800unto, and itH1931 is a little oneH4705: Oh, let me escapeH4422 H8735thither, ( is it not a little oneH4705)? and my soulH5315 shall liveH2421.[H8799]
[21]And he saidH559 H8799unto him, SeeH2009, I have acceptedH5375 H8804theeH6440 concerning this thingH1697 also, that I will not overthrowH2015 H8800this cityH5892, for the whichH834 thou hast spokenH1696.[H8765]
[22]HasteH4116 H8761thee, escapeH4422 H8734thither; for I cannotH3201 H8799doH6213 H8800any thingH1697 till thou be comeH935 H8800thither. Therefore the nameH8034 of the cityH5892 was calledH7121 H8804ZoarH6820.
[23]The sunH8121 was risenH3318 H8804upon the earthH776 when LotH3876 enteredH935 H8804into ZoarH6820.
[24]Then the LORDH3068 rainedH4305 H8689upon SodomH5467 and upon GomorrahH6017 brimstoneH1614 and fireH784 from the LORDH3068 out of heavenH8064;
[25]And he overthrewH2015 H8799thoseH411 citiesH5892, and all the plainH3603, and all the inhabitantsH3427 H8802of the citiesH5892, and that which grewH6780 upon the groundH127.
[26]But his wifeH802 looked backH5027 H8686from behind himH310, and she became a pillarH5333 of saltH4417.
[27]And AbrahamH85 gat up earlyH7925 H8686in the morningH1242 to the placeH4725 where he stoodH5975 H8804beforeH6440 the LORDH3068:
[28]And he lookedH8259 H8686towardH6440 SodomH5467 and GomorrahH6017, and towardH6440 all the landH776 of the plainH3603, and beheldH7200 , H8799and, lo, the smokeH7008 of the countryH776 went upH5927 H8804as the smokeH7008 of a furnaceH3536.
[29]And it came to pass, when GodH430 destroyedH7843 H8763the citiesH5892 of the plainH3603, that GodH430 rememberedH2142 H8799AbrahamH85, and sentH7971 H8762LotH3876 out of the midstH8432 of the overthrowH2018, when he overthrewH2015 H8800the citiesH5892 in the whichH2004 LotH3876 dweltH3427.[H8804]
[30]And LotH3876 went upH5927 H8799out of ZoarH6820, and dweltH3427 H8799in the mountainH2022, and his twoH8147 daughtersH1323 with him; for he fearedH3372 H8804to dwellH3427 H8800in ZoarH6820: and he dweltH3427 H8799in a caveH4631, he and his twoH8147 daughtersH1323.
[31]And the firstbornH1067 saidH559 H8799unto the youngerH6810, Our fatherH1 is oldH2204 , H8804and there is not a manH376 in the earthH776 to come inH935 H8800unto us after the mannerH1870 of all the earthH776:
[32]ComeH3212 , H8798let us makeH8248 our fatherH1 drinkH8248 H8686wineH3196, and we will lieH7901 H8799with him, that we may preserveH2421 H8762seedH2233 of our fatherH1.
[33]And they madeH8248 their fatherH1 drinkH8248 H8686wineH3196 that nightH3915: and the firstbornH1067 went inH935 , H8799and layH7901 H8799with her fatherH1; and he perceivedH3045 H8804not when she lay downH7901 , H8800nor when she aroseH6965.[H8800]
[34]And it came to pass on the morrowH4283, that the firstbornH1067 saidH559 H8799unto the youngerH6810, Behold, I layH7901 H8804yesternightH570 with my fatherH1: let us make him drinkH8248 H8686wineH3196 this nightH3915 also; and go thou inH935 , H8798and lieH7901 H8798with him, that we may preserveH2421 H8762seedH2233 of our fatherH1.
[35]And they madeH8248 their fatherH1 drinkH8248 H8686wineH3196 thatH1931 nightH3915 also: and the youngerH6810 aroseH6965 , H8799and layH7901 H8799with him; and he perceivedH3045 H8804not when she lay downH7901 , H8800nor when she aroseH6965.[H8800]
[36]Thus were bothH8147 the daughtersH1323 of LotH3876 with childH2029 H8799by their fatherH1.
[37]And the firstbornH1067 bareH3205 H8799a sonH1121, and calledH7121 H8799his nameH8034 MoabH4124: the sameH1931 is the fatherH1 of the MoabitesH4124 unto this dayH3117.
[38]And the youngerH6810, she also bareH3205 H8804a sonH1121, and calledH7121 H8799his nameH8034 BenammiH1151: the same is the fatherH1 of the childrenH1121 of AmmonH5983 unto this dayH3117.
