[1]And the two angels came to Sodom at evening. And Lot sat by the gate of Sodom, and Lot having seen them, rose up to meet them, and he worshipped with his face to the ground, and said, |

[2]Lo! my lords, turn aside to the house of your servant, and rest from your journey, and wash your feet, and having risen early in the morning ye shall depart on your journey. And they said, Nay, but we will lodge in the street. |
| [3]καίC καταβιάζομαιV1I-IMI3S αὐτόςRD-APM καίC ἐκκλίνωVAI-AAI3P πρόςP αὐτόςRD-ASM καίC εἰςἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3P εἰςP ὁRA-ASF οἰκίαN1A-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ποιέωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DPM πότοςA1-ASM καίC ἄζυμοςA1B-APM πέσσωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DPM καίC ἐσθίωVBI-AAI3P |
[3]And he constrained them, and they turned aside to him, and they entered into his house, and he made a feast for them, and baked unleavened cakes for them, and they did eat. |
| [4]πρόP ὁRA-GSN κοιμάωVC-APN καίC ὁRA-NPM ἀνήρN3-NPM ὁRA-GSF πόλιςN3I-GSF ὁRA-NPM *σοδομίτηςN1M-NPM περικυκλόωVAI-AAI3P ὁRA-ASF οἰκίαN1A-ASF ἀπόP νεανίσκοςN2-GSM ἕωςP πρεσβύτεροςA1A-GSMC ἅπαςA3-NSM ὁRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM ἅμαD |
[4]But before they went to sleep, the men of the city, the Sodomites, compassed the house, both young and old, all the people together. |
| [5]καίC ἐκκαλέωV2I-IMI3P ὁRA-ASM *λωτN--ASM καίC λέγωV1I-IAI3P πρόςP αὐτόςRD-ASM ποῦD εἰμίV9-PAI3P ὁRA-NPM ἀνήρN3-NPM ὁRA-NPM εἰςἔρχομαιVB-AAPNPM πρόςP σύRP-AS ὁRA-ASF νύξN3-ASF ἐκἄγωVB-AAD2S αὐτόςRD-APM πρόςP ἐγώRP-AP ἵναC συνγίγνομαιVB-AMS1P αὐτόςRD-DPM |
[5]And they called out Lot, and said to him, Where are the men that went in to thee this night? bring them out to us that we may be with them. |
| [6]ἐκἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S δέX *λωτN--NSM πρόςP αὐτόςRD-APM πρόςP ὁRA-ASN πρόθυρονN2N-ASN ὁRA-ASF δέX θύραN1A-ASF προςοἴγνυμιVAI-AAI3S ὀπίσωP αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[6]And Lot went out to them to the porch, and he shut the door after him, |
| [7]εἶπονVBI-AAI3S δέX πρόςP αὐτόςRD-APM μηδαμῶςD ἀδελφόςN2-VPM μήD πονηρεύομαιVA-AMS2P |
[7]and said to them, By no means, brethren, do not act villanously. |
| [8]εἰμίV9-PAI3P δέX ἐγώRP-DS δύοM θυγάτηρN3-NPF ὅςRR-NPF οὐD γιγνώσκωVZI-AAI3P ἀνήρN3-ASM ἐκἄγωVF-FAI1S αὐτόςRD-APF πρόςP σύRP-AP καίC χράομαιVA-AMD2P αὐτόςRD-DPF καθάD ἄνX ἀρέσκωV1-PAS3S σύRP-DP μόνονD εἰςP ὁRA-APM ἀνήρN3-APM οὗτοςRD-APM μήD ποιέωVA-AAS2P μηδείςA3P-ASN ἄδικοςA1B-ASN ὅςRR-GSM εἵνεκενP εἰςἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3P ὑπόP ὁRA-ASF σκέπηN1-ASF ὁRA-GPF δοκόςN2-GPF ἐγώRP-GS |
[8]But I have two daughters, who have not known a man. I will bring them out to you, and do ye use them as it may please you, only do not injury to these men, to avoid which they came under the shelter of my roof. |
| [9]εἶπονVAI-AAI3P δέX ἀποἵστημιVA-AAD2S ἐκεῖD εἷςA3-NSM ἔρχομαιVBI-AAI2S παραοἰκέωV2-PAN μήD καίC κρίσιςN3I-ASF κρίνωV1-PAN νῦνD οὖνX σύRP-AS κακόωVF-FAI1P μᾶλλονD ἤC ἐκεῖνοςRD-APM καίC παραβιάζομαιV1I-IMI3P ὁRA-ASM ἀνήρN3-ASM ὁRA-ASM *λωτN--ASM σφόδραD καίC ἐγγίζωVAI-AAI3P συντρίβωVA-AAN ὁRA-ASF θύραN1A-ASF |
[9]And they said to him, Stand back there, thou camest in to sojourn, was it also to judge? Now then we would harm thee more than them. And they pressed hard on the man, even Lot, and they drew nigh to break the door. |
| [10]ἐκτείνωVA-AAPNPM δέX ὁRA-NPM ἀνήρN3-NPM ὁRA-APF χείρN3-APF εἰςσπάωVAI-AMI3P ὁRA-ASM *λωτN--ASM πρόςP ἑαυτοῦRD-APM εἰςP ὁRA-ASM οἶκοςN2-ASM καίC ὁRA-ASF θύραN1A-ASF ὁRA-GSM οἶκοςN2-GSM ἀποκλείωVAI-AAI3P |
[10]And the men stretched forth their hands and drew Lot in to them into the house, and shut the door of the house. |
| [11]ὁRA-APM δέX ἀνήρN3-APM ὁRA-APM εἰμίV9-PAPAPM ἐπίP ὁRA-GSF θύραN1A-GSF ὁRA-GSM οἶκοςN2-GSM πατάσσωVAI-AAI3P ἀορασίαN1A-DSF ἀπόP μικρόςA1A-GSM ἕωςP μέγαςA1-GSM καίC παραλύωVCI-API3P ζητέωV2-PAPNPM ὁRA-ASF θύραN1A-ASF |
[11]And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great, and they were wearied with seeking the door. |
| [12]εἶπονVAI-AAI3P δέX ὁRA-NPM ἀνήρN3-NPM πρόςP *λωτN--ASM εἰμίV9-PAI3S τίςRI-NSM σύRP-DS ὧδεD γαμβρόςN2-NPM ἤC υἱόςN2-NPM ἤC θυγάτηρN3-NPF ἤC εἰC τίςRI-NSM σύRP-DS ἄλλοςRD-NSM εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐνP ὁRA-DSF πόλιςN3I-DSF ἐκἄγωVB-AAD2S ἐκP ὁRA-GSM τόποςN2-GSM οὗτοςRD-GSM |
[12]And the men said to Lot, Hast thou here sons-in-law, or sons or daughters, or if thou hast any other friend in the city, bring them out of this place. |
| [13]ὅτιC ἀποὀλλύωV5-PAI1P ἐγώRP-NP ὁRA-ASM τόποςN2-ASM οὗτοςRD-ASM ὅτιC ὑψόωVCI-API3S ὁRA-NSF κραυγήN1-NSF αὐτόςRD-GPM ἐναντίονP κύριοςN2-GSM καίC ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI3S ἐγώRP-AP κύριοςN2-NSM ἐκτρίβωVA-AAN αὐτόςRD-ASF |
[13]For we are going to destroy this place; for their cry has been raised up before the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it. |
| [14]ἐκἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S δέX *λωτN--NSM καίC λαλέωVAI-AAI3S πρόςP ὁRA-APM γαμβρόςN2-APM αὐτόςRD-GSM ὁRA-APM λαμβάνωVX-XAPAPM ὁRA-APF θυγάτηρN3-APF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ἀναἵστημιVH-AAD2P καίC ἐκἔρχομαιVB-AAD2P ἐκP ὁRA-GSM τόποςN2-GSM οὗτοςRD-GSM ὅτιC ἐκτρίβωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ὁRA-ASF πόλιςN3I-ASF δοκέωVAI-AAI3S δέX γελοιάζωV1-PAN ἐναντίονP ὁRA-GPM γαμβρόςN2-GPM αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[14]And Lot went out, and spoke to his sons-in-law who had married his daughters, and said, Rise up, and depart out of this place, for the Lord is about to destroy the city; but he seemed to be speaking absurdly before his sons-in-law. |
| [15]ἡνίκαD δέX ὄρθροςN2-NSM γίγνομαιV1I-IMI3S ἐπισπουδάζωV1I-IAI3P ὁRA-NPM ἄγγελοςN2-NPM ὁRA-ASM *λωτN--ASM λέγωV1-PAPNPM ἀναἵστημιVH-AAPNSM λαμβάνωVB-AAD2S ὁRA-ASF γυνήN3K-ASF σύRP-GS καίC ὁRA-APF δύοM θυγάτηρN3-APF σύRP-GS ὅςRR-APF ἔχωV1-PAI2S καίC ἐκἔρχομαιVB-AAD2S ἵναC μήD συν ἀποὀλλύωV5-PMS2S ὁRA-DPF ἀνομίαN1A-DPF ὁRA-GSF πόλιςN3I-GSF |
[15]But when it was morning, the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise and take thy wife, and thy two daughters whom thou hast, and go forth; lest thou also be destroyed with the iniquities of the city. |
| [16]καίC ταράσσωVQI-API3P καίC κρατέωVAI-AAI3P ὁRA-NPM ἄγγελοςN2-NPM ὁRA-GSF χείρN3-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ὁRA-GSF χείρN3-GSF ὁRA-GSF γυνήN3K-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ὁRA-GPM χείρN3-GPF ὁRA-GPF δύοM θυγάτηρN3-GPF αὐτόςRD-GSM ἐνP ὁRA-DSN φείδομαιVA-AMN κύριοςN2-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[16]And they were troubled, and the angels laid hold on his hand, and the hand of his wife, and the hands of his two daughters, in that the Lord spared him. |
| [17]καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S ἡνίκαD ἐκἄγωVBI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-APM ἔξωD καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI3P σώζωV1-PAPNSM σώζωV1-PAD2S ὁRA-ASF σεαυτοῦRD-GSM ψυχήN1-ASF μήD περιβλέπωVA-AAS2S εἰςP ὁRA-APN ὀπίσωP μηδέC ἵστημιVH-AAS2S ἐνP πᾶςA1S-DSF ὁRA-DSF περίχωροςA1B-DSF εἰςP ὁRA-ASN ὄροςN3E-ASN σώζωV1-PMD2S μήποτεD συν παραλαμβάνωVV-APS2S |
[17]And it came to pass when they brought them out, that they said, Save thine own life by all means; look not round to that which is behind, nor stay in all the country round about, escape to the mountain, lest perhaps thou be overtaken together with them. |
| [18]εἶπονVBI-AAI3S δέX *λωτN--NSM πρόςP αὐτόςRD-APM δέομαιV1-PMI1S κύριοςN2-VSM |
[18]And Lot said to them, I pray, Lord, |
| [19]ἐπειδήC εὑρίσκωVB-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM παῖςN3D-NSM σύRP-GS ἔλεοςN3E-ASN ἐναντίονP σύRP-GS καίC μεγαλύνωVAI-AAI2S ὁRA-ASF δικαιοσύνηN1-ASF σύRP-GS ὅςRR-ASN ποιέωV2-PAI2S ἐπίP ἐγώRP-AS ὁRA-GSN ζάωV3-PAN ὁRA-ASF ψυχήN1-ASF ἐγώRP-GS ἐγώRP-NS δέX οὐD δύναμαιVF-FMI1S διασώζωVC-APN εἰςP ὁRA-ASN ὄροςN3E-ASN μήD καταλαμβάνωVB-AAS3S ἐγώRP-AS ὁRA-NPN κακόςA1-NPN καίC ἀποθνήσκωVB-AAS1S |
[19]since thy servant has found mercy before thee, and thou hast magnified thy righteousness, in what thou doest towards me that my soul may live,—but I shall not be able to escape to the mountain, lest perhaps the calamity overtake me and I die. |
| [20]ἰδούI ὁRA-NSF πόλιςN3I-NSF οὗτοςRD-NSF ἐγγύςD ὁRA-GSN καταφεύγωVB-AAN ἐγώRP-AS ἐκεῖD ὅςRR-NSF εἰμίV9-PAI3S μικρόςA1A-NSF ἐκεῖD σώζωVC-FPI1S οὐD μικρόςA1A-NSF εἰμίV9-PAI3S καίC ζάωVF-FMI3S ὁRA-NSF ψυχήN1-NSF ἐγώRP-GS |
[20]Behold this city is near for me to escape thither, which is a small one, and there shall I be preserved, is it not little? and my soul shall live because of thee. |
| [21]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DSM ἰδούI θαυμάζωVAI-AAI1S σύRP-GS ὁRA-ASN πρόσωπονN2N-ASN καίC ἐπίP ὁRA-DSN ῥῆμαN3M-DSN οὗτοςRD-DSN ὁRA-GSN μήD καταστρέφωVA-AAN ὁRA-ASF πόλιςN3I-ASF περίP ὅςRR-GSF λαλέωVAI-AAI2S |
[21]And he said to him, Behold, I have had respect to thee also about this thing, that I should not overthrow the city about which thou hast spoken. |
| [22]σπεύδωVA-AAD2S οὖνX ὁRA-GSN σώζωVC-APN ἐκεῖD οὐD γάρX δύναμαιVF-FMI1S ποιέωVA-AAN πρᾶγμαN3M-ASN ἕωςP ὁRA-GSN σύRP-AS εἰςἔρχομαιVB-AAN ἐκεῖD διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN καλέωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASN ὄνομαN3M-ASN ὁRA-GSF πόλιςN3I-GSF ἐκεῖνοςRD-GSF *σηγωρN--AS |
[22]Hasten therefore to escape thither, for I shall not be able to do anything until thou art come thither; therefore he called the name of that city, Segor. |
| [23]ὁRA-NSM ἥλιοςN2-NSM ἐκἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S ἐπίP ὁRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF καίC *λωτN--NSM εἰςἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S εἰςP *σηγωρN--AS |
[23]The sun was risen upon the earth, when Lot entered into Segor. |
| [24]καίC κύριοςN2-NSM βρέχωVAI-AAI3S ἐπίP *σοδομαN1-AS καίC *γομορραN--AS θεῖοςA1A-ASM καίC πῦρN3-ASN παράP κύριοςN2-GSM ἐκP ὁRA-GSM οὐρανόςN2-GSM |
[24]And the Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrha brimstone and fire from the Lord out of heaven. |
| [25]καίC καταστρέφωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-APF πόλιςN3I-APF οὗτοςRD-APF καίC πᾶςA1S-ASF ὁRA-ASF περίοικοςA1B-ASF καίC πᾶςA3-APM ὁRA-APM καταοἰκέωV2-PAPAPM ἐνP ὁRA-DPF πόλιςN3I-DPF καίC πᾶςA3-APN ὁRA-APN ἀνατέλλωV1-PAPAPN ἐκP ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF |
[25]And he overthrew these cities, and all the country round about, and all that dwelt in the cities, and the plants springing out of the ground. |
| [26]καίC ἐπιβλέπωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSF γυνήN3K-NSF αὐτόςRD-GSM εἰςP ὁRA-APN ὀπίσωP καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S στήληN1-NSF ἅλςN3-GSM |
[26]And his wife looked back, and she became a pillar of salt. |
| [27]ὀρθρίζωVAI-AAI3S δέX *αβρααμN--NSM ὁRA-ASN πρωΐD εἰςP ὁRA-ASM τόποςN2-ASM οὗD ἵστημιVXI-YAI3S ἐναντίονP κύριοςN2-GSM |
[27]And Abraam rose up early to go to the place, where he had stood before the Lord. |
| [28]καίC ἐπιβλέπωVAI-AAI3S ἐπίP πρόσωπονN2N-ASN *σοδομαN1-GS καίC *γομορραN--GS καίC ἐπίP πρόσωπονN2N-ASN ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF ὁRA-GSF περίχωροςA1B-GSF καίC ὁράωVBI-AAI3S καίC ἰδούI ἀναβαίνωV1I-IAI3S φλόξN3G-NSF ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF ὡσείD ἀτμίςN3D-NSF κάμινοςN2-GSM |
[28]And he looked towards Sodom and Gomorrha, and towards the surrounding country, and saw, and behold a flame went up from the earth, as the smoke of a furnace. |
| [29]καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S ἐνP ὁRA-DSN ἐκτρίβωVA-AAN κύριοςN2-ASM πᾶςA1S-APF ὁRA-APF πόλιςN3I-APF ὁRA-GSF περίοικοςA1B-GSF μιμνήσκωVSI-API3S ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM ὁRA-GSM *αβρααμN--GSM καίC ἐκ ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASM *λωτN--ASM ἐκP μέσοςA1-GSM ὁRA-GSF καταστροφήN1-GSF ἐνP ὁRA-DSN καταστρέφωVA-AAN κύριοςN2-ASM ὁRA-APF πόλιςN3I-APF ἐνP ὅςRR-DPF καταοἰκέωV2I-IAI3S ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DPF *λωτN--NSM |
[29]And it came to pass that when God destroyed all the cities of the region round about, God remembered Abraam, and sent Lot out of the midst of the overthrow, when the Lord overthrew those cities in which Lot dwelt. |
| [30]ἀναβαίνωVZI-AAI3S δέX *λωτN--NSM ἐκP *σηγωρN--GS καίC κάθημαιV1I-IMI3S ἐνP ὁRA-DSN ὄροςN3E-DSN καίC ὁRA-NPF δύοM θυγάτηρN3-NPF αὐτόςRD-GSM μετάP αὐτόςRD-GSM φοβέωVCI-API3S γάρX καταοἰκέωVA-AAN ἐνP *σηγωρN--DS καίC οἰκέωVAI-AAI3S ἐνP ὁRA-DSN σπήλαιονN2N-DSN αὐτόςRD-NSM καίC ὁRA-NPF δύοM θυγάτηρN3-NPF αὐτόςRD-GSM μετάP αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[30]And Lot went up out of Segor, and dwelt in the mountain, he and his two daughters with him, for he feared to dwell in Segor; and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters with him. |
| [31]εἶπονVBI-AAI3S δέX ὁRA-NSF πρεσβύτεροςA1A-NSFC πρόςP ὁRA-ASF νέοςA1A-ASFC ὁRA-NSM πατήρN3-NSM ἐγώRP-GP πρεσβύτεροςA1A-NSMC καίC οὐδείςA3-NSM εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐπίP ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF ὅςRR-NSM εἰςἔρχομαιVF-FMI3S πρόςP ἐγώRP-AP ὡςC καταἥκωV1-PAI3S πᾶςA1S-DSF ὁRA-DSF γῆN1-DSF |
[31]And the elder said to the younger, Our father is old, and there is no one on the earth who shall come in to us, as it is fit in all the earth. |
| [32]δεῦροD καίC ποτίζωVA-AAS1P ὁRA-ASM πατήρN3-ASM ἐγώRP-GP οἶνοςN2-ASM καίC κοιμάωVC-APS1P μετάP αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ἐκ ἀναἵστημιVA-AAS1P ἐκP ὁRA-GSM πατήρN3-GSM ἐγώRP-GP σπέρμαN3M-ASN |
[32]Come and let us make our father drink wine, and let us sleep with him, and let us raise up seed from our father. |
| [33]ποτίζωVAI-AAI3P δέX ὁRA-ASM πατήρN3-ASM αὐτόςRD-GPF οἶνοςN2-ASM ἐνP ὁRA-DSF νύξN3-DSF οὗτοςRD-DSF καίC εἰςἔρχομαιVB-AAPNSF ὁRA-NSF πρεσβύτεροςA1A-NSFC κοιμάωVCI-API3S μετάP ὁRA-GSM πατήρN3-GSM αὐτόςRD-GSF ὁRA-ASF νύξN3-ASF ἐκεῖνοςRD-ASF καίC οὐD οἶδαVXI-YAI3S ἐνP ὁRA-DSN κοιμάωVC-APN αὐτόςRD-ASF καίC ἀναἵστημιVH-AAN |
[33]So they made their father drink wine in that night, and the elder went in and lay with her father that night, and he knew not when he slept and when he rose up. |
| [34]γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S δέX ὁRA-DSF ἐπαύριονD καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSF πρεσβύτεροςA1A-NSFC πρόςP ὁRA-ASF νέοςA1A-ASFC ἰδούI κοιμάωVCI-API1S χθέςD μετάP ὁRA-GSM πατήρN3-GSM ἐγώRP-GP ποτίζωVA-AAS1P αὐτόςRD-ASM οἶνοςN2-ASM καίC ὁRA-ASF νύξN3-ASF οὗτοςRD-ASF καίC εἰςἔρχομαιVB-AAPNSF κοιμάωVC-APD2S μετάP αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC ἐκ ἀναἵστημιVA-AAS1P ἐκP ὁRA-GSM πατήρN3-GSM ἐγώRP-GP σπέρμαN3M-ASN |
[34]And it came to pass on the morrow, that the elder said to the younger, Behold, I slept yesternight with our father, let us make him drink wine in this night also, and do thou go in and sleep with him, and let us raise up seed of our father. |

[35]So they made their father drink wine in that night also, and the younger went in and slept with her father, and he knew not when he slept, nor when he arose. |

[37]And the elder bore a son and called his name Moab, saying, He is of my father. This is the father of the Moabites to this present day. |

[38]And the younger also bore a son, and called his name Amman, saying, The son of my family. This is the father of the Ammanites to this present day. |
