[1]And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. [2]And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. [4]And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. [5]But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. [5]ἐπίP δέX *καινN--DSM καίC ἐπίPRA-DPF θυσίαN1A-DPF αὐτόςRD-GSM οὐD προςἔχωVBI-AAI3S καίC λυπέωVAI-AAI3SRA-ASM *καινN--ASM λίανD καίC συνπίπτωVBI-AAI3SRA-DSN πρόσωπονN2N-DSN
[6]And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? [6]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSMRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSMRA-DSM *καινN--DSM ἵναC τίςRI-ASN περίλυποςA1B-NSM γίγνομαιVBI-AMI2S καίC ἵναC τίςRI-ASN συνπίπτωVBI-AAI3SRA-ASN πρόσωπονN2N-ASN σύRP-GS
[7]If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. [7]οὐD ἐάνC ὀρθῶςD προςφέρωVA-AAS2S ὀρθῶςD δέX μήD διααἱρέωVB-AAS2S ἁμαρτάνωVBI-AAI2S ἡσυχάζωVA-AAD2S πρόςP σύRP-ASRA-NSF ἀποστροφήN1-NSF αὐτόςRD-GSM καίC σύRP-NS ἄρχωVF-FAI2S αὐτόςRD-GSM
[8]And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. [9]And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? [9]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3SRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM πρόςP *καινN--ASM ποῦD εἰμίV9-PAI3S *αβελN--NSMRA-NSM ἀδελφόςN2-NSM σύRP-GSRA-NSM δέX εἶπονVBI-AAI3S οὐD γιγνώσκωV1-PAI1S μήD φύλαξN3K-NSMRA-GSM ἀδελφόςN2-GSM ἐγώRP-GS εἰμίV9-PAI1S ἐγώRP-NS
[10]And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. [10]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3SRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM τίςRI-ASN ποιέωVAI-AAI2S φωνήN1-NSF αἷμαN3M-GSNRA-GSM ἀδελφόςN2-GSM σύRP-GS βοάωV3-PAI3S πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS ἐκPRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF
[11]And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; [11]καίC νῦνD ἐπικατάρατοςA1B-NSM σύRP-NS ἀπόPRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF ὅςRR-NSF χαίνωVBI-AAI3SRA-ASN στόμαN3M-ASN αὐτόςRD-GSF δέχομαιVA-AMNRA-ASN αἷμαN3M-ASNRA-GSM ἀδελφόςN2-GSM σύRP-GS ἐκPRA-GSF χείρN3-GSF σύRP-GS
[12]When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. [12]ὅτιC ἐργάζομαιVF2-FMI2SRA-ASF γῆN1-ASF καίC οὐD προςτίθημιVF-FAI3SRA-ASF ἰσχύςN3U-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSF δίδωμιVO-AAN σύRP-DS στένωV1-PAPNSM καίC τρέμωV1-PAPNSM εἰμίVF-FMI2S ἐπίPRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF
[13]And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear. [13]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *καινN--NSM πρόςPRA-ASM κύριοςN2-ASM μέγαςA3C-NSFCRA-NSF αἰτίαN1A-NSF ἐγώRP-GSRA-GSN ἀποἵημιVC-APN ἐγώRP-AS
[14]Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me. [15]And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. [16]And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. [16]ἐκἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S δέX *καινN--NSM ἀπόP πρόσωπονN2N-GSNRA-GSM θεόςN2-GSM καίC οἰκέωVAI-AAI3S ἐνP γῆN1-DSF *ναιδN--S κατέναντιP *εδεμN--GS
[17]And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. [18]And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech. [18]γίγνομαιVCI-API3S δέXRA-DSM *ενωχN--DSM *γαιδαδN--NSM καίC *γαιδαδN--NSM γεννάωVAI-AAI3SRA-ASM *μαιηλN--ASM καίC *μαιηλN--NSM γεννάωVAI-AAI3SRA-ASM *μαθουσαλαN--ASM καίC *μαθουσαλαN--NSM γεννάωVAI-AAI3SRA-ASM *λαμεχN--ASM
[19]And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. [19]καίC λαμβάνωVBI-AAI3S ἑαυτοῦRD-DSM *λαμεχN--NSM δύοM γυνήN3K-APF ὄνομαN3M-ASNRA-DSF εἷςA1A-DSF *αδαN--NSF καίC ὄνομαN3M-ASNRA-DSF δεύτεροςA1A-DSF *σελλαN--NSF
[20]And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle. [20]καίC τίκτωVBI-AAI3S *αδαN--NSFRA-ASM *ιωβελN--ASM οὗτοςRD-NSM εἰμίV9-IAI3SRA-NSM πατήρN3-NSM οἰκέωV2-PAPGPM ἐνP σκηνήN1-DPF κτηνοτρόφοςA1-GPN
[21]And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ. [21]καίC ὄνομαN3M-ASNRA-DSM ἀδελφόςN2-DSM αὐτόςRD-GSM *ιουβαλN--NSM οὗτοςRD-NSM εἰμίV9-IAI3SRA-NSM καταδεικνύωVA-AAPNSM ψαλτήριονN2N-ASN καίC κιθάραN1A-ASF
[22]And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah. [22]*σελλαN--NSF δέX τίκτωVBI-AAI3S καίC αὐτόςRD-NSFRA-ASM *θοβελN--ASM καίC εἰμίV9-IAI3S σφυροκόποςA1B-NSM χαλκεύςN3V-NSM χαλκόςN2-GSM καίC σίδηροςN2-GSM ἀδελφήN1-NSF δέX *θοβελN--GSM *νοεμαN--NSF
[23]And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt. [23]εἶπονVBI-AAI3S δέX *λαμεχN--NSMRA-DPF ἑαυτοῦRD-GSM γυνήN3K-DPF *αδαN--DSF καίC *σελλαN--DSF ἀκούωVA-AAD2P ἐγώRP-GSRA-GSF φωνήN1-GSF γυνήN3K-VPF *λαμεχN--GSM ἐνωτίζομαιVA-AMD2P ἐγώRP-GSRA-APM λόγοςN2-APM ὅτιC ἀνήρN3-ASM ἀποκτείνωVAI-AAI1S εἰςP τραῦμαN3M-ASN ἐγώRP-DS καίC νεανίσκοςN2-ASM εἰςP μώλωψN3P-ASM ἐγώRP-DS
[24]If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold. [24]ὅτιC ἑπτάκιςD ἐκδικέωVM-XMI3S ἐκP *καινN--GSM ἐκP δέX *λαμεχN--GSM ἑβδομηκοντάκιςD ἑπτάM
[25]And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. [26]And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.
