The King James Version (w/Strong's)
KJV+
[1]And it cometh to pass, after these things -- the butler of the king of Egypt and the baker have sinned against their lord, against the king of Egypt; [1]And it came to pass afterH310 these thingsH1697, that the butlerH8248 H8688of the kingH4428 of EgyptH4714 and his bakerH644 H8802had offendedH2398 H8804their lordH113 the kingH4428 of EgyptH4714.
[2]and Pharaoh is wroth against his two eunuchs, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers, [2]And PharaohH6547 was wrothH7107 H8799againstH5921 twoH8147 of his officersH5631, against the chiefH8269 of the butlersH8248 , H8688and against the chiefH8269 of the bakersH644.[H8802]
[3]and giveth them in charge in the house of the chief of the executioners, unto the round-house, the place where Joseph [is] a prisoner, [3]And he putH5414 H8799them in wardH4929 in the houseH1004 of the captainH8269 of the guardH2876, into the prisonH1004 , H5470the placeH4725 where JosephH3130 was boundH631.[H8803]
[4]and the chief of the executioners chargeth Joseph with them, and he serveth them; and they are days in charge. [4]And the captainH8269 of the guardH2876 chargedH6485 H8799JosephH3130 with them, and he servedH8334 H8762them: and they continued a seasonH3117 in wardH4929.
[5]And they dream a dream both of them, each his dream in one night, each according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker whom the king of Egypt hath, who [are] prisoners in the round-house. [5]And they dreamedH2492 H8799a dreamH2472 both of themH8147, each manH376 his dreamH2472 in oneH259 nightH3915, each manH376 according to the interpretationH6623 of his dreamH2472, the butlerH8248 H8688and the bakerH644 H8802of the kingH4428 of EgyptH4714, which were boundH631 H8803in the prisonH1004.[H5470]
[6]And Joseph cometh in unto them in the morning, and seeth them, and lo, they [are] morose; [6]And JosephH3130 came inH935 H8799unto them in the morningH1242, and lookedH7200 H8799upon them, and, behold, they were sadH2196.[H8802]
[7]and he asketh Pharaoh's eunuchs who [are] with him in charge in the house of his lord, saying, `Wherefore [are] your faces sad to-day?' [7]And he askedH7592 H8799Pharaoh'sH6547 officersH5631 that were with him in the wardH4929 of his lord'sH113 houseH1004, sayingH559 , H8800Wherefore lookH6440 ye so sadlyH7451 to dayH3117?
[8]And they say unto him, `A dream we have dreamed, and there is no interpreter of it;' and Joseph saith unto them, `Are not interpretations with God? recount, I pray you, to me.' [8]And they saidH559 H8799unto him, We have dreamedH2492 H8804a dreamH2472, and there is no interpreterH6622 H8802of it. And JosephH3130 saidH559 H8799unto them, Do not interpretationsH6623 belong to GodH430? tell meH5608 them, I pray youH8761.
[9]And the chief of the butlers recounteth his dream to Joseph, and saith to him, `In my dream, then lo, a vine [is] before me! [9]And the chiefH8269 butlerH8248 H8688toldH5608 H8762his dreamH2472 to JosephH3130, and saidH559 H8799to him, In my dreamH2472, behold, a vineH1612 was before meH6440;
[10]and in the vine [are] three branches, and it [is] as it were flourishing; gone up hath its blossom, its clusters have ripened grapes; [10]And in the vineH1612 were threeH7969 branchesH8299: and it was as though it buddedH6524 , H8802and her blossomsH5322 shot forthH5927 ; H8804and the clustersH811 thereof brought forth ripeH1310 H8689grapesH6025:
[11]and Pharaoh's cup [is] in my hand, and I take the grapes and press them into the cup of Pharaoh, and I give the cup into the hand of Pharaoh.' [11]And Pharaoh'sH6547 cupH3563 was in my handH3027: and I tookH3947 H8799the grapesH6025, and pressedH7818 H8799them into Pharaoh'sH6547 cupH3563, and I gaveH5414 H8799the cupH3563 into Pharaoh'sH6547 handH3709.
[12]And Joseph saith to him, `This [is] its interpretation: the three branches are three days; [12]And JosephH3130 saidH559 H8799unto him, This is the interpretationH6623 of it: The threeH7969 branchesH8299 are threeH7969 daysH3117:
[13]yet, within three days doth Pharaoh lift up thy head, and hath put thee back on thy station, and thou hast given the cup of Pharaoh into his hand, according to the former custom when thou wast his butler. [13]YetH5750 within threeH7969 daysH3117 shall PharaohH6547 lift upH5375 H8799thine headH7218, and restoreH7725 H8689thee unto thy placeH3653: and thou shalt deliverH5414 H8804Pharaoh'sH6547 cupH3563 into his handH3027, after the formerH7223 mannerH4941 when thou wast his butlerH8248.[H8688]
[14]`Surely if thou hast remembered me with thee, when it is well with thee, and hast done (I pray thee) kindness with me, and hast made mention of me unto Pharaoh, then hast thou brought me out from this house, [14]But thinkH2142 H8804on me when it shall be wellH3190 H8799with thee, and shewH6213 H8804kindnessH2617, I pray thee, unto me, and make mentionH2142 H8689of me unto PharaohH6547, and bring meH3318 H8689out of this houseH1004:
[15]for I was really stolen from the land of the Hebrews; and here also have I done nothing that they have put me in the pit.' [15]For indeed I was stolen awayH1589 H8795out of the landH776 of the HebrewsH5680: and here also have I doneH6213 H8804nothingH3972 that they should putH7760 H8804me into the dungeonH953.
[16]And the chief of the bakers seeth that he hath interpreted good, and he saith unto Joseph, `I also [am] in a dream, and lo, three baskets of white bread [are] on my head, [16]When the chiefH8269 bakerH644 H8802sawH7200 H8799that the interpretationH6622 H8804was goodH2896, he saidH559 H8799unto JosephH3130, I alsoH637 was in my dreamH2472, and, behold, I had threeH7969 whiteH2751 basketsH5536 on my headH7218:
[17]and in the uppermost basket [are] of all [kinds] of Pharaoh's food, work of a baker; and the birds are eating them out of the basket, from off my head.' [17]And in the uppermostH5945 basketH5536 there was of all mannerH3978 of bakemeatsH4639[H644] H8802for PharaohH6547; and the birdsH5775 did eatH398 H8802them out of the basketH5536 uponH5921 my headH7218.
[18]And Joseph answereth and saith, `This [is] its interpretation: the three baskets are three days; [18]And JosephH3130 answeredH6030 H8799and saidH559 , H8799This is the interpretationH6623 thereof: The threeH7969 basketsH5536 are threeH7969 daysH3117:
[19]yet, within three days doth Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and hath hanged thee on a tree, and the birds have eaten thy flesh from off thee.' [19]Yet within threeH7969 daysH3117 shall PharaohH6547 lift upH5375 H8799thy headH7218 from off thee, and shall hangH8518 H8804thee on a treeH6086; and the birdsH5775 shall eatH398 H8804thy flesh from off theeH1320.
[20]And it cometh to pass, on the third day, Pharaoh's birthday, that he maketh a banquet to all his servants, and lifteth up the head of the chief of the butlers, and the head of the chief of the bakers among his servants, [20]And it came to pass the thirdH7992 dayH3117, which was Pharaoh'sH6547 birthdayH3117[H3205], H8715that he madeH6213 H8799a feastH4960 unto all his servantsH5650: and he lifted upH5375 H8799the headH7218 of the chiefH8269 butlerH8248 H8688and of the chiefH8269 bakerH644 H8802amongH8432 his servantsH5650.
[21]and he putteth back the chief of the butlers to his butlership, and he giveth the cup into the hand of Pharaoh; [21]And he restoredH7725 the chiefH8269 butlerH8248 H8688unto his butlershipH4945 againH7725 ; H8686and he gaveH5414 H8799the cupH3563 into Pharaoh'sH6547 handH3709:
[22]and the chief of the bakers he hath hanged, as Joseph hath interpreted to them; [22]But he hangedH8518 H8804the chiefH8269 bakerH644 : H8802as JosephH3130 had interpretedH6622 to themH8804.
[23]and the chief of the butlers hath not remembered Joseph, but forgetteth him. [23]Yet did not the chiefH8269 butlerH8248 H8688rememberH2142 H8804JosephH3130, but forgatH7911 himH8799.
