[4]Who in you is left, that sai this hous in his firste glorie? and what seen ye this now? whether it is not thus, as if it be not bifore youre iyen? [4]Yet now be strongH2388[H8798], O ZerubbabelH2216, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068; and be strongH2388[H8798], O JoshuaH3091, sonH1121 of JosedechH3087, the highH1419 priestH3548; and be strongH2388[H8798], all ye peopleH5971 of the landH776, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068, and workH6213[H8798]: for I am with you, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635:
[5]And now, Sorobabel, be thou coumfortid, seith the Lord, and Jhesu, greet preest, sone of Josedech, be thou coumfortid, and al the puple of the lond, be thou coumfortid, seith the Lord of oostis; and do ye, for Y am with you, seith the Lord of oostis. [5]According to the wordH1697 that I covenantedH3772[H8804] with you when ye cameH3318[H8800] out of EgyptH4714, so my spiritH7307 remainethH5975[H8802] amongH8432 you: fearH3372 ye notH8799.

[6]For thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635; Yet onceH259, it is a little whileH4592, and I will shakeH7493[H8688] the heavensH8064, and the earthH776, and the seaH3220, and the dry landH2724;
[7]Nyle ye drede, for the Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Yit o litil thing is, and Y schal moue heuene, and erthe, and see, and drie lond; [7]And I will shakeH7493[H8689] all nationsH1471, and the desireH2532 of all nationsH1471 shall comeH935[H8804]: and I will fillH4390[H8765] this houseH1004 with gloryH3519, saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635.
[8]and Y schal moue alle folkis, and the desirid to alle folkis schal come; and Y schal fille this hous with glorie, seith the Lord of oostis. [8]The silverH3701 is mine, and the goldH2091 is mine, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635.
[9]Myn is siluer, and myn is gold, seith the Lord of oostes. [9]The gloryH3519 of this latterH314 houseH1004 shall be greater thanH1419 of the formerH7223, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635: and in this placeH4725 will I giveH5414[H8799] peaceH7965, saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635.
[10]The glorie of this laste hous schal be greet, more than the firste, seith the Lord of oostis. And in this place Y schal yyue pees, seith the Lord of oostis. [10]In the fourH702 and twentiethH6242 day of the ninthH8671 month, in the secondH8147 yearH8141 of DariusH1867, came the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 byH3027 HaggaiH2292 the prophetH5030, sayingH559,[H8800]
[11]In the foure and twentithe dai of the nynthe monethe, in the secounde yeer of kyng Daryus, the word of the Lord was maad to Aggei, the profete, and seide, The Lord God of oostis seith these thingis, [11]Thus saithH559[H8804] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635; AskH7592[H8798] now the priestsH3548 concerning the lawH8451, sayingH559,[H8800]
[12]Axe thou preestis the lawe, and seie thou, [12]If oneH376 bearH5375[H8799] holyH6944 fleshH1320 in the skirtH3671 of his garmentH899, and with his skirtH3671 do touchH5060[H8804] breadH3899, or pottageH5138, or wineH3196, or oilH8081, or any meatH3978, shall it be holyH6942[H8799]? And the priestsH3548 answeredH6030[H8799] and saidH559, NoH8799.
[13]If a man takith halewyd fleisch in the hem of his clothing, and touchith of the hiynesse therof breed, ether potage, ether wyn, ether oile, ether ony mete, whether it schal be halewid? Sotheli preestis answeriden, and seiden, Nai. [13]Then saidH559[H8799] HaggaiH2292, If one that is uncleanH2931 by a dead bodyH5315 touchH5060[H8799] any of these, shall it be uncleanH2930[H8799]? And the priestsH3548 answeredH6030[H8799] and saidH559[H8799], It shall be uncleanH2930.[H8799]
[14]And Aggei seide, If a man defoulid in soule touchith of alle these thingis, whether it schal be defoulid? And prestis answeriden, and seiden, It schal be defoulid. [14]Then answeredH6030[H8799] HaggaiH2292, and saidH559[H8799], So is this peopleH5971, and so is this nationH1471 beforeH6440 me, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068; and so is every workH4639 of their handsH3027; and that which they offerH7126[H8686] there is uncleanH2931.
[15]And Aggei answeride, and seide, So is this puple, and so is this folc bifor my face, seith the Lord, and so is al werk of her hondis; and alle thingis whiche thei offren there, schulen be defoulid. [15]And now, I pray you, considerH7760[H8798][H3824] from this dayH3117 and upwardH4605, from beforeH2962 a stoneH68 was laidH7760[H8800] upon a stoneH68 in the templeH1964 of the LORDH3068:
[16]And nowe putte ye youre hertis, fro this dai and aboue, bifor that a stoon on a stoon was put in temple of the Lord, [16]Since those days were, when one cameH935[H8804] to an heapH6194 of twentyH6242 measures, there were but tenH6235: when one cameH935[H8804] to the pressfatH3342 for to draw outH2834[H8800] fiftyH2572 vessels out of the pressH6333, there were but twentyH6242.
[17]whanne ye wenten to an heep of twenti buischels, and there weren maad ten; ye entriden to the pressour, that ye schulden presse out fifti galouns, and there weren maad twenti. [17]I smoteH5221[H8689] you with blastingH7711 and with mildewH3420 and with hailH1259 in all the laboursH4639 of your handsH3027; yet ye turned not to me, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068.
[18]Y smoot you with brennynge wynd; and with myldew, and hail, alle the werkis of youre hondis; and ther was noon in you that turnede ayen to me, seith the Lord. [18]ConsiderH7760[H8798][H3824] now from this dayH3117 and upwardH4605, from the fourH702 and twentiethH6242 dayH3117 of the ninthH8671 month, even from the dayH3117 that the foundationH3245[H8795] of the LORD'SH3068 templeH1964 was laid, considerH7760[H8798] itH3824.
[19]Putte ye youre hertis fro this dai, and in to comynge, fro the foure and twentithe dai of the nynthe monethe, fro the dai in whiche foundementis of the temple of the Lord ben castun, putte ye on youre herte. [19]Is the seedH2233 yet in the barnH4035? yea, as yet the vineH1612, and the fig treeH8384, and the pomegranateH7416, and the oliveH2132 treeH6086, hath not brought forthH5375[H8804]: from this dayH3117 will I blessH1288 youH8762.
[20]Whether now seed is in buriownyng? and yit vineyerd, and fige tre, and pomgarnade, and the tre of olyue flouride not. [20]And againH8145 the wordH1697 of the LORDH3068 came unto HaggaiH2292 in the fourH702 and twentiethH6242 day of the monthH2320, sayingH559,[H8800]
[21]Fro this dai Y schal blesse. And the word of the Lord was maad the secounde tyme to Aggei, in the foure and twentithe dai of the monethe, [21]SpeakH559[H8798] to ZerubbabelH2216, governorH6346 of JudahH3063, sayingH559[H8800], I will shakeH7493[H8688] the heavensH8064 and the earthH776;
[22]and seide, Spek thou to Sorobabel, duik of Juda, and seie thou, Y shal moue heuene and erthe togidere, and Y schal distrie the seet of rewmes, [22]And I will overthrowH2015[H8804] the throneH3678 of kingdomsH4467, and I will destroyH8045[H8689] the strengthH2392 of the kingdomsH4467 of the heathenH1471; and I will overthrowH2015[H8804] the chariotsH4818, and those that rideH7392[H8802] in them; and the horsesH5483 and their ridersH7392[H8802] shall come downH3381[H8804], every oneH376 by the swordH2719 of his brotherH251.
[23]and Y schal al to-breke the strengthe of rewme of hethene men, and schal distrie a foure horsid carte, and the stiere therof; and horsis schulen go doun, and stieris of hem, a man bi swerd of his brother. [23]In that dayH3117, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635, will I takeH3947[H8799] thee, O ZerubbabelH2216, my servantH5650, the sonH1121 of ShealtielH7597, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068, and will makeH7760[H8804] thee as a signetH2368: for I have chosenH977[H8804] thee, saithH5002[H8803] the LORDH3068 of hostsH6635.
