[1]God which in time past, at sundrie tymes, and in diuers maners, spake vnto the fathers in the prophetes |
[1]IN manifold portions,ⓘ and in all manners, spake Aloha with our fathers by the prophets from the first: |
[2]Hath in these last dayes, spoken vnto vs in the sonne, whom he hath appoynted heyre of all thynges, by whom also he made the worldes |
[2]But in these last days he hath spoken with us by his Son; whom he constituted the heir of every thing, and by whom he made the worlds; |
[3]Who beyng the bryghtnesse of the glorie, and the very image of his substaunce, vpholdyng all thynges with the worde of his power, hauing by him selfe pourged our sinnes, hath syt on the ryght hande of the maiestie on hye |
[3]Who himself is the resplendence of his glory, and the image of his Being, and upholdeth all [things] by the power of his word; and he, in his [own] person, hath made purification of sins, and hath sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.ⓘ |
[4]Beyng so much more excellent then the Angels, as he hath by inheritaunce obtayned a more excellent name then they |
[4]And this [person] is altogether more excellent than the angels, by so much as the name he hath inherited [is] more excellent than theirs. |
[5]For vnto which of the Angels sayde he at any tyme: Thou art my sonne, this day haue I begotten thee |
[5]For unto which one from [among] the angels at any time said Aloha, Thou art MY SON; I to-day have begotten thee? |
[6]And agayne, I wyll be to hym a father, and he shalbe to me a sonne? And agayne, when he bryngeth in the first begotten sonne into the worlde, he saith: And let all the Angels of God worship hym |
[6]And again, I will be to him the Father, and he shall be to me the Son? But again, when bringing in the Firstbegotten into the world, he said, Let all the angels of Aloha worship him. |
[7]And vnto the Angels he sayth: He maketh his Angels spirites, and his ministers a flambe of fyre |
[7]But concerning the angels, thus hath he spoken: Who hath made his angels spirit, and his ministers a flaming fire. |
[8]But vnto the sonne [he sayth] Thy seate O God, [shalbe] for euer and euer: The scepter of thy kyngdome [is] a scepter of ryghteousnesse |
[8]But concerning the Son he hath said, Thy throne, Aloha, [is] for ever and ever, a rightⓘ sceptre [is] the sceptre of thy kingdom. |
[9]Thou hast loued ryghteousnesse, and hated iniquitie: Therfore God, euen thy God, hath annoynted thee with the oyle of gladnesse, aboue thy felowes |
[9]Thou hast loved righteousness, and hast hated iniquity; therefore Aloha thy God hath anointed thee with the oil of exultation more [abundantly] than thy fellows. |
[10]And thou Lorde, in the begynnyng hast layde the foundation of the earth: And the heauens are the workes of thy handes |
[10]And again, Thou in the beginning hast laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of thy hands. |
[11]They shall perishe, but thou endurest, and they shall waxe olde as doth a garment |
[11]They pass away, but thou art enduring; and all they as vestments shall become old, and as a garment thou shalt fold them up, |
[12]And as a vesture shalt thou folde the vp, and they shalbe chaunged: but thou art the same, & thy yeres shall not fayle |
[12]They shall be changed; but thou [shalt be] as Thou Art, and thy years shall not fail.ⓘ |
[13]But vnto which of ye Angels sayde he at any tyme: Sitte on my right hande, tyll I make thyne enemies thy foote stoole |
[13]But to which from [among] the angels hath he said at any time, Sit at my right hand, until I put thine adversaries a footstool beneath thy feet? |
[14]Are they not all ministring spirites, sent foorth into ministerie for their sakes which shalbe heyres of saluation |
[14]Are not all they spirits of ministration, who [are] sent forth in service on behalf of those who are hereafter to inherit salvation? |
