| [1]שִׁמְעוּ־זֹאת הַכֹּהֲנִים וְהַקְשִׁיבוּ בֵּית יִשְׂרָאֵל וּבֵית הַמֶּלֶךְ הַאֲזִינוּ כִּי לָכֶם הַמִּשְׁפָּט כִּי־פַח הֱיִיתֶם לְמִצְפָּה וְרֶשֶׁת פְּרוּשָׂה עַל־תָּבֹור׃ |
[1]HearH8085[H8798] ye this, O priestsH3548; and hearkenH7181[H8685], ye houseH1004 of IsraelH3478; and give ye earH238[H8685], O houseH1004 of the kingH4428; for judgmentH4941 is toward you, because ye have been a snareH6341 on MizpahH4709, and a netH7568 spreadH6566[H8803] upon TaborH8396. |
| [2]וְשַׁחֲטָה שֵׂטִים הֶעְמִיקוּ וַאֲנִי מוּסָר לְכֻלָּם׃ |
[2]And the revoltersH7846 are profoundH6009[H8689] to make slaughterH7819[H8800], though I have been a rebuker of them allH4148. |
| [3]אֲנִי יָדַעְתִּי אֶפְרַיִם וְיִשְׂרָאֵל לֹא־נִכְחַד מִמֶּנִּי כִּי עַתָּה הִזְנֵיתָ אֶפְרַיִם נִטְמָא יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |
[3]I knowH3045[H8804] EphraimH669, and IsraelH3478 is not hidH3582[H8738] from me: for now, O EphraimH669, thou committest whoredomH2181[H8689], and IsraelH3478 is defiledH2930.[H8738] |
| [4]לֹא יִתְּנוּ מַעַלְלֵיהֶם לָשׁוּב אֶל־אֱלֹהֵיהֶם כִּי רוּחַ זְנוּנִים בְּקִרְבָּם וְאֶת־יְהוָה לֹא יָדָעוּ׃ |
[4]They will not frameH5414[H8799] their doingsH4611 to turnH7725[H8800] unto their GodH430: for the spiritH7307 of whoredomsH2183 is in the midstH7130 of them, and they have not knownH3045[H8804] the LORDH3068. |
| [5]וְעָנָה גְאֹון־יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּפָנָיו וְיִשְׂרָאֵל וְאֶפְרַיִם יִכָּשְׁלוּ בַּעֲוֹנָם כָּשַׁל גַּם־יְהוּדָה עִםָּם׃ |
[5]And the prideH1347 of IsraelH3478 doth testifyH6030[H8804] to his faceH6440: therefore shall IsraelH3478 and EphraimH669 fallH3782[H8735] in their iniquityH5771; JudahH3063 also shall fallH3782 with themH8804. |
| [6]בְּצֹאנָם וּבִבְקָרָם יֵלְכוּ לְבַקֵּשׁ אֶת־יְהוָה וְלֹא יִמְצָאוּ חָלַץ מֵהֶם׃ |
[6]They shall goH3212[H8799] with their flocksH6629 and with their herdsH1241 to seekH1245[H8763] the LORDH3068; but they shall not findH4672[H8799] him; he hath withdrawnH2502 himself from themH8804. |
| [7]בַּיהוָה בָּגָדוּ כִּי־בָנִים זָרִים יָלָדוּ עַתָּה יֹאכְלֵם חֹדֶשׁ אֶת־חֶלְקֵיהֶם׃ |
[7]They have dealt treacherouslyH898[H8804] against the LORDH3068: for they have begottenH3205[H8804] strangeH2114[H8801] childrenH1121: now shall a monthH2320 devourH398[H8799] them with their portionsH2506. |
| [8]תִּקְעוּ שֹׁופָר בַּגִּבְעָה חֲצֹצְרָה בָּרָמָה הָרִיעוּ בֵּית אָוֶן אַחֲרֶיךָ בִּנְיָמִין׃ |
[8]BlowH8628[H8798] ye the cornetH7782 in GibeahH1390, and the trumpetH2689 in RamahH7414: cry aloudH7321[H8685] at BethavenH1007, afterH310 thee, O BenjaminH1144. |
| [9]אֶפְרַיִם לְשַׁמָּה תִהְיֶה בְּיֹום תֹּוכֵחָה בְּשִׁבְטֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל הֹודַעְתִּי נֶאֱמָנָה׃ |
[9]EphraimH669 shall be desolateH8047 in the dayH3117 of rebukeH8433: among the tribesH7626 of IsraelH3478 have I made knownH3045[H8689] that which shall surely beH539.[H8737] |
| [10]הָיוּ שָׂרֵי יְהוּדָה כְּמַסִּיגֵי גְּבוּל עֲלֵיהֶם אֶשְׁפֹּוךְ כַּמַּיִם עֶבְרָתִי׃ |
[10]The princesH8269 of JudahH3063 were like them that removeH5253[H8688] the boundH1366: therefore I will pour outH8210[H8799] my wrathH5678 upon them like waterH4325. |
| [11]עָשׁוּק אֶפְרַיִם רְצוּץ מִשְׁפָּט כִּי הֹואִיל הָלַךְ אַחֲרֵי־צָו׃ |
[11]EphraimH669 is oppressedH6231[H8803] and brokenH7533[H8803] in judgmentH4941, because he willinglyH2974[H8689] walkedH1980[H8804] afterH310 the commandmentH6673. |
| [12]וַאֲנִי כָעָשׁ לְאֶפְרָיִם וְכָרָקָב לְבֵית יְהוּדָה׃ |
[12]Therefore will I be unto EphraimH669 as a mothH6211, and to the houseH1004 of JudahH3063 as rottennessH7538. |
| [13]וַיַּרְא אֶפְרַיִם אֶת־חָלְיֹו וִיהוּדָה אֶת־מְזֹרֹו וַיֵּלֶךְ אֶפְרַיִם אֶל־אַשּׁוּר וַיִּשְׁלַח אֶל־מֶלֶךְ יָרֵב וְהוּא לֹא יוּכַל לִרְפֹּא לָכֶם וְלֹא־יִגְהֶה םִכֶּם מָזֹור׃ |
[13]When EphraimH669 sawH7200[H8799] his sicknessH2483, and JudahH3063 saw his woundH4205, then wentH3212[H8799] EphraimH669 to the AssyrianH804, and sentH7971[H8799] to kingH4428 JarebH3377[H8677][H7378][H8799]: yet couldH3201[H8799] he not healH7495[H8800] you, nor cureH1455[H8799] you of your woundH4205. |
| [14]כִּי אָנֹכִי כַשַּׁחַל לְאֶפְרַיִם וְכַכְּפִיר לְבֵית יְהוּדָה אֲנִי אֲנִי אֶטְרֹף וְאֵלֵךְ אֶשָּׂא וְאֵין מַצִּיל׃ |
[14]For I will be unto EphraimH669 as a lionH7826, and as a young lionH3715 to the houseH1004 of JudahH3063: I, even I, will tearH2963[H8799] and go awayH3212[H8799]; I will take awayH5375[H8799], and none shall rescueH5337 himH8688. |
| [15]אֵלֵךְ אָשׁוּבָה אֶל־מְקֹומִי עַד אֲשֶׁר־יֶאְשְׁמוּ וּבִקְשׁוּ פָנָי בַּצַּר לָהֶם יְשַׁחֲרֻנְנִי׃ |
[15]I will goH3212[H8799] and returnH7725[H8799] to my placeH4725, till they acknowledge their offenceH816[H8799], and seekH1245[H8765] my faceH6440: in their afflictionH6862 they will seek me earlyH7836.[H8762] |
