| [2]לִ֖י יִזְעָ֑קוּ אֱלֹהַ֥י יְֽדַעֲנ֖וּךָ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ |
[2]IsraelH3478 shall cryH2199[H8799] unto me, My GodH430, we knowH3045 theeH8804. |
| [3]זָנַ֥ח יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל טֹ֑וב אֹויֵ֖ב יִרְדְּֽפֹו ׃ |
[3]IsraelH3478 hath cast offH2186[H8804] the thing that is goodH2896: the enemyH341[H8802] shall pursueH7291 himH8799. |
| [4]הֵ֤ם הִמְלִיכוּ֙ וְלֹ֣א מִמֶּ֔נִּי הֵשִׂ֖ירוּ וְלֹ֣א יָדָ֑עְתִּי כַּסְפָּ֣ם וּזְהָבָ֗ם עָשׂ֤וּ לָהֶם֙ עֲצַבִּ֔ים לְמַ֖עַן יִכָּרֵֽת׃ |
[4]They have set up kingsH4427[H8689], but not by me: they have made princesH7786[H8689], and I knewH3045[H8804] it not: of their silverH3701 and their goldH2091 have they madeH6213[H8804] them idolsH6091, that they may be cut offH3772.[H8735] |
| [5]זָנַח֙ עֶגְלֵ֣ךְ שֹֽׁמְרֹ֔ון חָרָ֥ה אַפִּ֖י בָּ֑ם עַד־מָתַ֕י לֹ֥א יוּכְל֖וּ נִקָּיֹֽן׃ |
[5]Thy calfH5695, O SamariaH8111, hath castH2186[H8804] thee off; mine angerH639 is kindledH2734[H8804] against them: how long will it be ereH3808 they attainH3201[H8799] to innocencyH5356? |
| [6]כִּ֤י מִיִּשְׂרָאֵל֙ וְה֔וּא חָרָ֣שׁ עָשָׂ֔הוּ וְלֹ֥א אֱלֹהִ֖ים ה֑וּא כִּֽי־שְׁבָבִ֣ים יִֽהְיֶ֔ה עֵ֖גֶל שֹׁמְרֹֽון׃ |
[6]For from IsraelH3478 was it also: the workmanH2796 madeH6213[H8804] it; therefore it is not GodH430: but the calfH5695 of SamariaH8111 shall be broken in piecesH7616. |
| [7]כִּ֛י ר֥וּחַ יִזְרָ֖עוּ וְסוּפָ֣תָה יִקְצֹ֑רוּ קָמָ֣ה אֵֽין־לֹ֗ו צֶ֚מַח בְּלִ֣י יַֽעֲשֶׂה־קֶּ֔מַח אוּלַ֣י יַֽעֲשֶׂ֔ה זָרִ֖ים יִבְלָעֻֽהוּ׃ |
[7]For they have sownH2232[H8799] the windH7307, and they shall reapH7114[H8799] the whirlwindH5492: it hath no stalkH7054: the budH6780 shall yieldH6213[H8799] no mealH7058: ifH194 so be it yieldH6213[H8799], the strangersH2114[H8801] shall swallow it upH1104.[H8799] |
| [8]נִבְלַ֖ע יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל עַתָּה֙ הָי֣וּ בַגֹּויִ֔ם כִּכְלִ֖י אֵֽין־חֵ֥פֶץ בֹּֽו׃ |
[8]IsraelH3478 is swallowed upH1104[H8738]: now shall they be among the GentilesH1471 as a vesselH3627 wherein is no pleasureH2656. |
| [9]כִּֽי־הֵ֙מָּה֙ עָל֣וּ אַשּׁ֔וּר פֶּ֖רֶא בֹּודֵ֣ד לֹ֑ו אֶפְרַ֖יִם הִתְנ֥וּ אֲהָבִֽים׃ |
[9]For they are gone upH5927[H8804] to AssyriaH804, a wild assH6501 aloneH909[H8802] by himself: EphraimH669 hath hiredH8566[H8689] loversH158. |
| [10]גַּ֛ם כִּֽי־יִתְנ֥וּ בַגֹּויִ֖ם עַתָּ֣ה אֲקַבְּצֵ֑ם וַיָּחֵ֣לּוּ מְּעָ֔ט מִמַּשָּׂ֖א מֶ֥לֶךְ שָׂרִֽים׃ |
[10]Yea, though they have hiredH8566[H8799] among the nationsH1471, now will I gatherH6908[H8762] them, and they shall sorrowH2490[H8686] a littleH4592 for the burdenH4853 of the kingH4428 of princesH8269. |
| [11]כִּֽי־הִרְבָּ֥ה אֶפְרַ֛יִם מִזְבְּחֹ֖ת לַחֲטֹ֑א הָיוּ־לֹ֥ו מִזְבְּחֹ֖ות לַחֲטֹֽא׃ |
[11]Because EphraimH669 hath made manyH7235[H8689] altarsH4196 to sinH2398[H8800], altarsH4196 shall be unto him to sinH2398.[H8800] |
| [12][אֶכתֹוב־ כ] (אֶ֨כְתָּב־לֹ֔ו ק) [רִבֹּו כ] (רֻבֵּ֖י ק) תֹּֽורָתִ֑י כְּמֹו־זָ֖ר נֶחְשָֽׁבוּ׃ |

| [13]זִבְחֵ֣י הַבְהָבַ֗י יִזְבְּח֤וּ בָשָׂר֙ וַיֹּאכֵ֔לוּ יְהוָ֖ה לֹ֣א רָצָ֑ם עַתָּ֞ה יִזְכֹּ֤ר עֲוֹנָם֙ וְיִפְקֹ֣ד חַטֹּאותָ֔ם הֵ֖מָּה מִצְרַ֥יִם יָשֽׁוּבוּ׃ |

| [14]וַיִּשְׁכַּ֨ח יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל אֶת־עֹשֵׂ֗הוּ וַיִּ֙בֶן֙ הֵֽיכָלֹ֔ות וִֽיהוּדָ֕ה הִרְבָּ֖ה עָרִ֣ים בְּצֻרֹ֑ות וְשִׁלַּחְתִּי־אֵ֣שׁ בְּעָרָ֔יו וְאָכְלָ֖ה אַרְמְנֹתֶֽיהָ׃ |
[14]For IsraelH3478 hath forgottenH7911[H8799] his MakerH6213[H8802], and buildethH1129[H8799] templesH1964; and JudahH3063 hath multipliedH7235[H8689] fencedH1219[H8803] citiesH5892: but I will sendH7971[H8765] a fireH784 upon his citiesH5892, and it shall devourH398[H8804] the palaces thereofH759. |
