[2]ἐκκλίνωV1-PAPNPM κρίσιςN3I-ASF πτωχόςN2-GPM ἁρπάζωV1-PAPNPM κρίμαN3M-ASN πένηςN3T-GPMRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM ἐγώRP-GS ὥστεC εἰμίV9-PAN αὐτόςRD-DPM χήραN1A-ASF εἰςP ἁρπαγήN1-ASF καίC ὀρφανόςA1-ASM εἰςP προνομήN1-ASF [2]To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right of the poor of My people, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!
[3]καίC τίςRI-ASN ποιέωVF-FAI3P ἐνPRA-DSF ἡμέραN1A-DSFRA-GSF ἐπισκοπήN1-GSFRA-NSF γάρX θλῖψιςN3I-NSF σύRP-DP πόρρωθενD ἥκωVF-FAI3S καίC πρόςP τίςRI-ASN καταφεύγωVF-FMI2PRA-GSM βοηθέωVC-APN καίC ποῦD καταλείπωVF-FAI2PRA-ASF δόξαN1S-ASF σύRP-GP [3]And what will ye do in the day visitation, and in the ruin which shall come from far? To whom will ye flee for help? And where will ye leave your glory?
[4]RA-GSN μήD ἐνπίπτωVB-AAN εἰςP ἐπαγωγήN1-ASF ἐπίP πᾶςA3-DPM οὗτοςRD-DPM οὐD ἀποστρέφωVDI-API3SRA-NSM θυμόςN2-NSM ἀλλάC ἔτιDRA-NSF χείρN3-NSF ὑψηλόςA1-NSF [4]They can do nought except crouch under the captives, and fall under the slain. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
[5]οὐαίI *ἀσσύριοςN2-DPMRA-NSF ῥάβδοςN2-NSFRA-GSM θυμόςN2-GSM ἐγώRP-GS καίC ὀργήN1-GSF εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐνPRA-DPF χείρN3-DPF αὐτόςRD-GPM [5]O Asshur, the rod of Mine anger, in whose hand as a staff is Mine indignation!
[6]RA-ASF ὀργήN1-ASF ἐγώRP-GS εἰςP ἔθνοςN3E-ASN ἄνομοςA1B-ASN ἀποστέλλωVF2-FAI1S καίCRA-DSM ἐμόςA1-DSM λαόςN2-DSM συντάσσωVF-FAI1S ποιέωVA-AAN σκῦλονN2N-APN καίC προνομήN1-ASF καίC καταπατέωV2-PANRA-APF πόλιςN3I-APF καίC τίθημιVE-AAN αὐτόςRD-APF εἰςP κονιορτόςN2-ASM [6]I do send him against an ungodly nation, and against the people of My wrath do I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.
[7]αὐτόςRD-NSM δέX οὐD οὕτωςD ἐνθυμέομαιVCI-API3S καίCRA-DSF ψυχήN1-DSF οὐD οὕτωςD λογίζομαιVX-XMN ἀλλάC ἀποἀλλάσσωVF-FAI3SRA-NSM νοῦςN2-NSM αὐτόςRD-GSM καίCRA-GSN ἔθνοςN3E-APN ἐκὀλεθρεύωVA-AAN οὐD ὀλίγοςA1-APN [7]Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off nations not a few.
[8]καίC ἐάνC εἶπονVB-AAS3P αὐτόςRD-DSM σύRP-NS μόνοςA1-NSM εἰμίV9-PAI2S ἄρχωνN3-NSM [8]For he saith: 'Are not my princes all of them kings?
[9]καίC εἶπονVF2-FAI3S οὐD λαμβάνωVBI-AAI1SRA-ASF χώραN1A-ASFRA-ASF ἐπάνωD *βαβυλώνN3W-GSF καίC *χαλαννηN1-GSM οὗDRA-NSM πύργοςN2-NSM οἰκοδομέωVCI-API3S καίC λαμβάνωVBI-AAI1S *ἀραβίαN1-AS καίC *δαμασκόςN2-ASM καίC *σαμαρείαN1-ASF [9]Is not Calno as Carchemish? Is not Hamath as Arpad? Is not Samari Damascus?
[10]ὅςRR-ASM τρόποςN2-ASM οὗτοςRD-APF λαμβάνωVBI-AAI1S ἐνPRA-DSF χείρN3-DSF ἐγώRP-GS καίC πᾶςA1S-APFRA-APF ἀρχήN1-APF λαμβάνωVF-FMI1S ὀλολύζωVA-AAD2PRA-APN γλυπτόςA1-APN ἐνP *ἰερουσαλήμN--DSF καίC ἐνP *σαμαρείαN1A-DSF [10]As my hand hath reached the kingdoms of the idols, whose graven images did exceed them of Jerusalem and of Samaria;

[12]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S ὅτανD συντελέωVF-FMS2S κύριοςN2-NSM πᾶςA3-ASM ποῖοςA1A-GPM ἐνPRA-DSN ὄροςN3E-DSN *σιωνN--ASF καίC ἐνP *ἰερουσαλήμN--DSF ἐπιἄγωVF-FAI3S ἐπίPRA-ASM νοῦςN2-ASMRA-ASM μέγαςA1P-ASMRA-ASM ἄρχωνN3-ASMRA-GPM *ἀσσύριοςN2-GPM καίC ἐπίPRA-ASN ὕψοςN3E-ASNRA-GSF δόξαN1S-GSFRA-GPM ὀφθαλμόςN2-GPM αὐτόςRD-GSM [12]Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed His whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his haughty looks.
[13]εἶπονVBI-AAI3S γάρXRD-DSF ἰσχύςN3U-DSF ποιέωVF-FAI1S καίCRA-DSF σοφίαN1A-DSFRA-GSF σύνεσιςN3I-GSF ἀποαἱρέωVF2-FAI1S ὅριονN2N-APN ἔθνοςN3E-GPN καίCRA-ASF ἰσχύςN3-ASF αὐτόςRD-GPM προνομεύωVF-FAI2S καίC σείωVF-FAI1S πόλιςN3I-APF καταοἰκέωV2-PMPAPF [13]For he hath said: by the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I am prudent; in that I have removed the bounds of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures, and have brought down as one mighty the inhabitants;
[14]καίCRA-ASF οἰκέωV2-PMPASF ὅλοςA1-ASF καταλαμβάνωVF-FMI1SRA-DSF χείρN3-DSF ὡςD νοσσιάN1A-ASF καίC ὡςD καταλείπωVP-XMPAPN ᾠόνN2N-APN αἴρωVF2-FAI1S καίC οὐD εἰμίV9-PAI3S ὅςRR-NSM διαφεύγωVF-FMI3S ἐγώRP-ASC ἀντιεἶπονVF-FMI3S ἐγώRP-DS [14]And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the peoples; and as one gathereth eggs that are forsaken, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or that opened mouth, or chirped.
[15]μήD δοξάζωVS-FPI3S ἀξίνηN1-NSF ἄνευPRA-GSM κόπτωV1-PAPGSM ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DSFC ὑψόωVC-FPI3S πρίωνN3W-NSM ἄνευPRA-GSM ἕλκωV1-PAPGSM αὐτόςRD-ASM ὡσαύτωςD ἐάνC τιςRI-NSM αἴρωVA-AAS3S ῥάβδοςN2-ASFC ξύλονN2N-ASN [15]Should the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? Should the saw magnify itself against him that moveth it? as if a rod should move them that lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up him that is not wood.
[16]καίC οὐD οὕτωςD ἀλλάC ἀποστέλλωVF2-FAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM σαβαωθN--G εἰςPRA-ASF σόςA1-ASF τιμήN1-ASF ἀτιμίαN1A-ASF καίC εἰςPRA-ASF σόςA1-ASF δόξαN1S-ASF πῦρN3-ASN καίωV1-PMPASM καίωVC-FPI3S [16]Therefore will the Lord, ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory there shall be kindled a burning like the burning of fire.
[17]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3SRA-NSN φῶςN3T-NSNRA-GSM *ἰσραήλN--GSM εἰςP πῦρN3-ASN καίC ἁγιάζωVF2-FAI3S αὐτόςRD-ASM ἐνP πῦρN3-DSN καίωV1-PMPDSM καίC ἐσθίωVF-FMI3S ὡσείD χόρτονN2N-ASNRA-ASF ὕληN1-ASFRA-DSF ἡμέραN1A-DSF ἐκεῖνοςRD-DSF [17]And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.
[18]ἀποσβέννυμιVC-FPI3SRA-NPN ὄροςN3E-NPN καίCRA-NPM βουνόςN2-NPM καίCRA-NPM δρυμόςN2-NPM καίC καταἐσθίωVF-FMI3S ἀπόP ψυχήN1-GSF ἕωςC σάρξN3K-GPF καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3SRA-NSM φεύγωV1-PAPNSM ὡςDRA-NSM φεύγωV1-PAPNSM ἀπόP φλόξN3G-GSF καίωV1-PMPGSF [18]And the glory of his forest and of his fruitful field, he will consume both soul and body; and it shall be as when a sick man wasteth away.
[19]καίCRA-NPM καταλείπωVV-APPNPM ἀπόP αὐτόςRD-GPM εἰμίVF-FMI3P ἀριθμόςN2-NSM καίC παιδίονN2N-NSN γράφωVF-FAI3S αὐτόςRD-APM [19]And the remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them down.
[20]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S ἐνPRA-DSF ἡμέραN1A-DSF ἐκεῖνοςRD-DSF οὐκέτιD προςτίθημιVC-FPI3SRA-ASN καταλείπωVV-APPASN *ἰσραήλN--GSM καίCRA-NPM σώζωVC-APPNPMRA-GSM *ἰακώβN--GSM οὐκέτιD μήD πείθωVX-XAPNPM οὖςN3T-DPN ἐπίPRA-APM ἀδικέωVA-AAPAPM αὐτόςRD-APM ἀλλάC εἰμίVF-FMI3P πείθωVX-XAPNPM ἐπίPRA-ASM θεόςN2-ASMRA-ASM ἅγιοςA1A-ASMRA-GSM *ἰσραήλN--GSMRA-DSF ἀλήθειαN1A-DSF [20]And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and they that are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.
[21]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3SRA-ASN καταλείπωVV-APPASNRA-GSM *ἰακώβN--GSM ἐπίP θεόςN2-ASM ἰσχύωV1-PAPASM [21]A remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto God the Mighty.
[22]καίC ἐάνC γίγνομαιVB-AMS3SRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM *ἰσραήλN--GSM ὡςDRA-NSF ἄμμοςN2-NSFRA-GSF θάλασσαN1S-GSFRA-ASN καταλείμμαN3M-ASN αὐτόςRD-GPM σώζωVC-FPI3S λόγοςN2-ASM γάρX συντελέωV2-PAPNSM καίC συντέμνωV1-PAPNSM ἐνP δικαιοσύνηN1-DSF [22]For though thy people, O Israel, be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them shall return; an extermination is determined, overflowing with righteousness.
[23]ὅτιC λόγοςN2-ASM συντέμνωVM-PMPASM ποιέωVF-FAI3SRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM ἐνPRA-DSF οἰκέωV2-PMPDSF ὅλοςA1-DSF [23]For an extermination wholly determined shall the Lord, the ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ of hosts, make in the midst of all the earth.
[24]διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM σαβαωθN--G μήD φοβέωV2-PMD2SRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM ἐγώRP-GSRA-NPM καταοἰκέωV2-PAPNPM ἐνP *σιωνN--DSF ἀπόP *ἀσσύριοςN2-GPM ὅτιC ἐνP ῥάβδοςN2-DSF πατάσσωVF-FAI3S σύRP-AS πληγήN1-ASF γάρX ἐγώRP-NS ἐπιἄγωV1-PAI1S ἐπίP σύRP-ASRA-GSN ὁράωVB-AAN ὁδόςN2-ASF *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSF [24]Therefore thus saith the Lord, the ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ of hosts: O My people the dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of Asshur, though he smite thee with the rod, and lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.
[25]ἔτιD γάρX μικρόςA1A-ASM καίC παύωVF-FMI3SRA-NSF ὀργήN1-NSFRA-NSM δέX θυμόςN2-NSM ἐγώRP-GS ἐπίPRA-ASF βουλήN1-ASF αὐτόςRD-GPM [25]For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall be accomplished, and Mine anger shall be to their destruction.
[26]καίC ἐπιἐγείρωVF2-FAI3SRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-APM κατάPRA-ASF πληγήN1-ASFRA-ASF *μαδιαμN--GS ἐνP τόποςN2-DSM θλῖψιςN3I-GSF καίCRA-NSM θυμόςN2-NSM αὐτόςRD-GSMRA-DSF ὁδόςN2-DSFRA-DSF κατάP θάλασσαN1S-ASF εἰςPRA-ASF ὁδόςN2-ASFRA-ASF κατάP *αἴγυπτοςN2-ASF [26]And ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ of hosts shall stir up against him a scourge, as in the slaughter of Midian at the Rock of Oreb; and as His rod was over the sea, so shall He lift it up after the manner of Egypt.
[27]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S ἐνPRA-DSF ἡμέραN1A-DSF ἐκεῖνοςRD-DSF ἀποαἱρέωVC-FPI3SRA-NSM φόβοςN2-NSM αὐτόςRD-GSM ἀπόP σύRP-GS καίCRA-NSM ζυγόςN2-NSM αὐτόςRD-GSM ἀπόPRA-GSM ὦμοςN2-GSM σύRP-GS καίC καταφθείρωVD-FPI3SRA-NSM ζυγόςN2-NSM ἀπόPRA-GPM ὦμοςN2-GPM σύRP-GP [27]And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall depart from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed by reason of fatness.
[28]ἥκωVF-FAI3S γάρX εἰςPRA-ASF πόλιςN3I-ASF *αγγαιN--DS καίC παραἔρχομαιVF-FMI3S εἰςP *μαγεδωN--DS καίC ἐνP *μαχμαςN--DS τίθημιVF-FAI3SRA-APN σκεῦοςN3E-APN αὐτόςRD-GSM [28]He is come to Aiath, he is passed through Migron; at Michmas he layeth up his baggage;
[29]καίC παραἔρχομαιVF-FMI3S φάραγξN3G-ASF καίC ἥκωVF-FAI3S εἰςP *αγγαιN--DS φόβοςN2-NSM λαμβάνωVF-FMI3S *ραμαN--AS πόλιςN3I-ASF *σαούλN--GSM φεύγωVF-FMI3S [29]They are gone over the pass; they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah trembleth; Gibeath-shaul is fled.
[30]RA-NSF θυγάτηρN3-NSF *γαλλιμN--GS ἐπιἀκούωVF-FMI3S *λαισαN--NS ἐπιἀκούωVF-FMI3S *αναθωθN--DS [30]Cry thou with a shrill voice, O daughter of Gallim! Hearken, O Laish! O thou poor Anathoth!
[31]ἐκἵστημιVHI-AAI3S *μαδεβηναN--NS καίCRA-NPM καταοἰκέωV2-PAPNPM *γιββιρN--AS παρακαλέωV2-PAD2P [31]Madmenah is in mad flight; the inhabitants of Gebim flee to cover.
[32]σήμερονD ἐνP ὁδόςN2-DSFRA-GSN μένωVA-AANRA-DSF χείρN3-DSF παρακαλέωV2-PAD2PRA-ASN ὄροςN3E-ASNRA-ASF θυγάτηρN3-ASF *σιωνN--GSF καίCRA-NPM βουνόςN2-NPMRA-NPM ἐνP *ἰερουσαλήμN--DSF [32]This very day shall he halt at Nob, shaking his hand at the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.
[33]ἰδούI γάρXRA-NSM δεσπότηςN1M-NSM κύριοςN2-NSM σαβαωθN--G συνταράσσωV1-PAI3SRA-APM ἔνδοξοςA1B-APM μετάP ἰσχύςN3U-GSF καίCRA-NPM ὑψηλόςA1-NPMRA-DSF ὕβριςN3I-DSF συντρίβωVD-FPI3P καίCRA-NPM ὑψηλόςA1-NPM ταπεινόωVC-FPI3P [33]Behold, the Lord, ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ of hosts, shall lop the boughs with terror; and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the lofty shall be laid low.
[34]καίC πίπτωVF-FMI3PRA-NPM ὑψηλόςA1-NPM μάχαιραN1A-DSFRA-NSM δέX *λίβανοςN2-NSM σύνPRA-DPM ὑψηλόςA1-DPM πίπτωVF-FMI3S [34]And He shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one.
