[1]Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers that write iniquity; |

[2]To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right of the poor of My people, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey! |
| [3]καίC τίςRI-ASN ποιέωVF-FAI3P ἐνP ὁRA-DSF ἡμέραN1A-DSF ὁRA-GSF ἐπισκοπήN1-GSF ὁRA-NSF γάρX θλῖψιςN3I-NSF σύRP-DP πόρρωθενD ἥκωVF-FAI3S καίC πρόςP τίςRI-ASN καταφεύγωVF-FMI2P ὁRA-GSM βοηθέωVC-APN καίC ποῦD καταλείπωVF-FAI2P ὁRA-ASF δόξαN1S-ASF σύRP-GP |
[3]And what will ye do in the day visitation, and in the ruin which shall come from far? To whom will ye flee for help? And where will ye leave your glory? |
| [4]ὁRA-GSN μήD ἐνπίπτωVB-AAN εἰςP ἐπαγωγήN1-ASF ἐπίP πᾶςA3-DPM οὗτοςRD-DPM οὐD ἀποστρέφωVDI-API3S ὁRA-NSM θυμόςN2-NSM ἀλλάC ἔτιD ὁRA-NSF χείρN3-NSF ὑψηλόςA1-NSF |
[4]They can do nought except crouch under the captives, and fall under the slain. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still. |

[5]O Asshur, the rod of Mine anger, in whose hand as a staff is Mine indignation! |

[6]I do send him against an ungodly nation, and against the people of My wrath do I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets. |

[7]Howbeit he meaneth not so, neither doth his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off nations not a few. |

[8]For he saith: 'Are not my princes all of them kings? |
| [9]καίC εἶπονVF2-FAI3S οὐD λαμβάνωVBI-AAI1S ὁRA-ASF χώραN1A-ASF ὁRA-ASF ἐπάνωD *βαβυλώνN3W-GSF καίC *χαλαννηN1-GSM οὗD ὁRA-NSM πύργοςN2-NSM οἰκοδομέωVCI-API3S καίC λαμβάνωVBI-AAI1S *ἀραβίαN1-AS καίC *δαμασκόςN2-ASM καίC *σαμαρείαN1-ASF |
[9]Is not Calno as Carchemish? Is not Hamath as Arpad? Is not Samari Damascus? |
| [10]ὅςRR-ASM τρόποςN2-ASM οὗτοςRD-APF λαμβάνωVBI-AAI1S ἐνP ὁRA-DSF χείρN3-DSF ἐγώRP-GS καίC πᾶςA1S-APF ὁRA-APF ἀρχήN1-APF λαμβάνωVF-FMI1S ὀλολύζωVA-AAD2P ὁRA-APN γλυπτόςA1-APN ἐνP *ἰερουσαλήμN--DSF καίC ἐνP *σαμαρείαN1A-DSF |
[10]As my hand hath reached the kingdoms of the idols, whose graven images did exceed them of Jerusalem and of Samaria; |
| [11]ὅςRR-ASM τρόποςN2-ASM γάρX ποιέωVAI-AAI1S *σαμαρείαN1A-DSF καίC ὁRA-DPM χειροποίητοςA1B-DPM αὐτόςRD-GSF οὕτωςD ποιέωVF-FAI1S καίC *ἰερουσαλήμN--DSF καίC ὁRA-DPN εἴδωλονN2N-DPN αὐτόςRD-GSF |
[11]Shall I not, as I have done unto Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?' |
| [12]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S ὅτανD συντελέωVF-FMS2S κύριοςN2-NSM πᾶςA3-ASM ποῖοςA1A-GPM ἐνP ὁRA-DSN ὄροςN3E-DSN *σιωνN--ASF καίC ἐνP *ἰερουσαλήμN--DSF ἐπιἄγωVF-FAI3S ἐπίP ὁRA-ASM νοῦςN2-ASM ὁRA-ASM μέγαςA1P-ASM ὁRA-ASM ἄρχωνN3-ASM ὁRA-GPM *ἀσσύριοςN2-GPM καίC ἐπίP ὁRA-ASN ὕψοςN3E-ASN ὁRA-GSF δόξαN1S-GSF ὁRA-GPM ὀφθαλμόςN2-GPM αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[12]Wherefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord hath performed His whole work upon mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his haughty looks. |

[13]For he hath said: by the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom, for I am prudent; in that I have removed the bounds of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures, and have brought down as one mighty the inhabitants; |
| [14]καίC ὁRA-ASF οἰκέωV2-PMPASF ὅλοςA1-ASF καταλαμβάνωVF-FMI1S ὁRA-DSF χείρN3-DSF ὡςD νοσσιάN1A-ASF καίC ὡςD καταλείπωVP-XMPAPN ᾠόνN2N-APN αἴρωVF2-FAI1S καίC οὐD εἰμίV9-PAI3S ὅςRR-NSM διαφεύγωVF-FMI3S ἐγώRP-AS ἤC ἀντιεἶπονVF-FMI3S ἐγώRP-DS |
[14]And my hand hath found as a nest the riches of the peoples; and as one gathereth eggs that are forsaken, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or that opened mouth, or chirped. |
| [15]μήD δοξάζωVS-FPI3S ἀξίνηN1-NSF ἄνευP ὁRA-GSM κόπτωV1-PAPGSM ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DSF ἤC ὑψόωVC-FPI3S πρίωνN3W-NSM ἄνευP ὁRA-GSM ἕλκωV1-PAPGSM αὐτόςRD-ASM ὡσαύτωςD ἐάνC τιςRI-NSM αἴρωVA-AAS3S ῥάβδοςN2-ASF ἤC ξύλονN2N-ASN |
[15]Should the axe boast itself against him that heweth therewith? Should the saw magnify itself against him that moveth it? as if a rod should move them that lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up him that is not wood. |
| [16]καίC οὐD οὕτωςD ἀλλάC ἀποστέλλωVF2-FAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM σαβαωθN--G εἰςP ὁRA-ASF σόςA1-ASF τιμήN1-ASF ἀτιμίαN1A-ASF καίC εἰςP ὁRA-ASF σόςA1-ASF δόξαN1S-ASF πῦρN3-ASN καίωV1-PMPASM καίωVC-FPI3S |
[16]Therefore will the Lord, 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 of hosts, send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory there shall be kindled a burning like the burning of fire. |
| [17]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S ὁRA-NSN φῶςN3T-NSN ὁRA-GSM *ἰσραήλN--GSM εἰςP πῦρN3-ASN καίC ἁγιάζωVF2-FAI3S αὐτόςRD-ASM ἐνP πῦρN3-DSN καίωV1-PMPDSM καίC ἐσθίωVF-FMI3S ὡσείD χόρτονN2N-ASN ὁRA-ASF ὕληN1-ASF ὁRA-DSF ἡμέραN1A-DSF ἐκεῖνοςRD-DSF |
[17]And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day. |
| [18]ἀποσβέννυμιVC-FPI3S ὁRA-NPN ὄροςN3E-NPN καίC ὁRA-NPM βουνόςN2-NPM καίC ὁRA-NPM δρυμόςN2-NPM καίC καταἐσθίωVF-FMI3S ἀπόP ψυχήN1-GSF ἕωςC σάρξN3K-GPF καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S ὁRA-NSM φεύγωV1-PAPNSM ὡςD ὁRA-NSM φεύγωV1-PAPNSM ἀπόP φλόξN3G-GSF καίωV1-PMPGSF |
[18]And the glory of his forest and of his fruitful field, he will consume both soul and body; and it shall be as when a sick man wasteth away. |
| [19]καίC ὁRA-NPM καταλείπωVV-APPNPM ἀπόP αὐτόςRD-GPM εἰμίVF-FMI3P ἀριθμόςN2-NSM καίC παιδίονN2N-NSN γράφωVF-FAI3S αὐτόςRD-APM |
[19]And the remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, that a child may write them down. |
| [20]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S ἐνP ὁRA-DSF ἡμέραN1A-DSF ἐκεῖνοςRD-DSF οὐκέτιD προςτίθημιVC-FPI3S ὁRA-ASN καταλείπωVV-APPASN *ἰσραήλN--GSM καίC ὁRA-NPM σώζωVC-APPNPM ὁRA-GSM *ἰακώβN--GSM οὐκέτιD μήD πείθωVX-XAPNPM οὖςN3T-DPN ἐπίP ὁRA-APM ἀδικέωVA-AAPAPM αὐτόςRD-APM ἀλλάC εἰμίVF-FMI3P πείθωVX-XAPNPM ἐπίP ὁRA-ASM θεόςN2-ASM ὁRA-ASM ἅγιοςA1A-ASM ὁRA-GSM *ἰσραήλN--GSM ὁRA-DSF ἀλήθειαN1A-DSF |
[20]And it shall come to pass in that day, that the remnant of Israel, and they that are escaped of the house of Jacob, shall no more again stay upon him that smote them; but shall stay upon 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇, the Holy One of Israel, in truth. |
| [21]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S ὁRA-ASN καταλείπωVV-APPASN ὁRA-GSM *ἰακώβN--GSM ἐπίP θεόςN2-ASM ἰσχύωV1-PAPASM |
[21]A remnant shall return, even the remnant of Jacob, unto God the Mighty. |
| [22]καίC ἐάνC γίγνομαιVB-AMS3S ὁRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM *ἰσραήλN--GSM ὡςD ὁRA-NSF ἄμμοςN2-NSF ὁRA-GSF θάλασσαN1S-GSF ὁRA-ASN καταλείμμαN3M-ASN αὐτόςRD-GPM σώζωVC-FPI3S λόγοςN2-ASM γάρX συντελέωV2-PAPNSM καίC συντέμνωV1-PAPNSM ἐνP δικαιοσύνηN1-DSF |
[22]For though thy people, O Israel, be as the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them shall return; an extermination is determined, overflowing with righteousness. |

[23]For an extermination wholly determined shall the Lord, the 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 of hosts, make in the midst of all the earth. |
| [24]διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM σαβαωθN--G μήD φοβέωV2-PMD2S ὁRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM ἐγώRP-GS ὁRA-NPM καταοἰκέωV2-PAPNPM ἐνP *σιωνN--DSF ἀπόP *ἀσσύριοςN2-GPM ὅτιC ἐνP ῥάβδοςN2-DSF πατάσσωVF-FAI3S σύRP-AS πληγήN1-ASF γάρX ἐγώRP-NS ἐπιἄγωV1-PAI1S ἐπίP σύRP-AS ὁRA-GSN ὁράωVB-AAN ὁδόςN2-ASF *αἴγυπτοςN2-GSF |
[24]Therefore thus saith the Lord, the 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 of hosts: O My people the dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of Asshur, though he smite thee with the rod, and lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt. |
| [25]ἔτιD γάρX μικρόςA1A-ASM καίC παύωVF-FMI3S ὁRA-NSF ὀργήN1-NSF ὁRA-NSM δέX θυμόςN2-NSM ἐγώRP-GS ἐπίP ὁRA-ASF βουλήN1-ASF αὐτόςRD-GPM |
[25]For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall be accomplished, and Mine anger shall be to their destruction. |
| [26]καίC ἐπιἐγείρωVF2-FAI3S ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-APM κατάP ὁRA-ASF πληγήN1-ASF ὁRA-ASF *μαδιαμN--GS ἐνP τόποςN2-DSM θλῖψιςN3I-GSF καίC ὁRA-NSM θυμόςN2-NSM αὐτόςRD-GSM ὁRA-DSF ὁδόςN2-DSF ὁRA-DSF κατάP θάλασσαN1S-ASF εἰςP ὁRA-ASF ὁδόςN2-ASF ὁRA-ASF κατάP *αἴγυπτοςN2-ASF |
[26]And 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 of hosts shall stir up against him a scourge, as in the slaughter of Midian at the Rock of Oreb; and as His rod was over the sea, so shall He lift it up after the manner of Egypt. |
| [27]καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3S ἐνP ὁRA-DSF ἡμέραN1A-DSF ἐκεῖνοςRD-DSF ἀποαἱρέωVC-FPI3S ὁRA-NSM φόβοςN2-NSM αὐτόςRD-GSM ἀπόP σύRP-GS καίC ὁRA-NSM ζυγόςN2-NSM αὐτόςRD-GSM ἀπόP ὁRA-GSM ὦμοςN2-GSM σύRP-GS καίC καταφθείρωVD-FPI3S ὁRA-NSM ζυγόςN2-NSM ἀπόP ὁRA-GPM ὦμοςN2-GPM σύRP-GP |
[27]And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall depart from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed by reason of fatness. |

[28]He is come to Aiath, he is passed through Migron; at Michmas he layeth up his baggage; |
| [29]καίC παραἔρχομαιVF-FMI3S φάραγξN3G-ASF καίC ἥκωVF-FAI3S εἰςP *αγγαιN--DS φόβοςN2-NSM λαμβάνωVF-FMI3S *ραμαN--AS πόλιςN3I-ASF *σαούλN--GSM φεύγωVF-FMI3S |
[29]They are gone over the pass; they have taken up their lodging at Geba; Ramah trembleth; Gibeath-shaul is fled. |

[30]Cry thou with a shrill voice, O daughter of Gallim! Hearken, O Laish! O thou poor Anathoth! |
| [31]ἐκἵστημιVHI-AAI3S *μαδεβηναN--NS καίC ὁRA-NPM καταοἰκέωV2-PAPNPM *γιββιρN--AS παρακαλέωV2-PAD2P |
[31]Madmenah is in mad flight; the inhabitants of Gebim flee to cover. |
| [32]σήμερονD ἐνP ὁδόςN2-DSF ὁRA-GSN μένωVA-AAN ὁRA-DSF χείρN3-DSF παρακαλέωV2-PAD2P ὁRA-ASN ὄροςN3E-ASN ὁRA-ASF θυγάτηρN3-ASF *σιωνN--GSF καίC ὁRA-NPM βουνόςN2-NPM ὁRA-NPM ἐνP *ἰερουσαλήμN--DSF |
[32]This very day shall he halt at Nob, shaking his hand at the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem. |
| [33]ἰδούI γάρX ὁRA-NSM δεσπότηςN1M-NSM κύριοςN2-NSM σαβαωθN--G συνταράσσωV1-PAI3S ὁRA-APM ἔνδοξοςA1B-APM μετάP ἰσχύςN3U-GSF καίC ὁRA-NPM ὑψηλόςA1-NPM ὁRA-DSF ὕβριςN3I-DSF συντρίβωVD-FPI3P καίC ὁRA-NPM ὑψηλόςA1-NPM ταπεινόωVC-FPI3P |
[33]Behold, the Lord, 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 of hosts, shall lop the boughs with terror; and the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the lofty shall be laid low. |
| [34]καίC πίπτωVF-FMI3P ὁRA-NPM ὑψηλόςA1-NPM μάχαιραN1A-DSF ὁRA-NSM δέX *λίβανοςN2-NSM σύνP ὁRA-DPM ὑψηλόςA1-DPM πίπτωVF-FMI3S |
[34]And He shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a mighty one. |
