| [1]ܡܲܫܩ̄ܠܵܐ ܕܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ. ܗܵܐ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܪܟ݂ܝܼܒ̣ ܥܲܠ ܥܢܵܢܹ̈ܐ ܩܲܠܝܼ̈ܠܵܬ̣ܵܐ: ܘܥܵܐܹ̇ܠ ܠܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ. ܘܲܢܙܘܼܥܘܼܢ ܦܬܲܟ݂ܪܹ̈ܐ ܕܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ ܡ̣ܢ ܩܕ݂ܵܡܵܘܗܝ. ܘܠܸܒܹ̇ܗ ܕܡܸܨܪܵܝܵܐ ܢܸܬ̣ܡ̱ܣܸܐ ܒܓ̣ܵܘܹܗ. |
[1]The burden of Egypt. Behold, the Lord rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt, and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of her. |
| [2]ܘܐܲܓܲܪܸܐ ܡܸܨܪܵܝܵܐ ܒܡܸܨܪܵܝܵܐ. ܘܢܸܬ̣ܟܲܬܲܫ ܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܥܲܡ ܐܲܚܘܼܗܝ: ܘܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܥܲܡ ܚܲܒ̣ܪܹܗ: ܡܕ݂ܝܼܢ̄ܬܵܐ ܥܲܡ ܡܕ݂ܝܼܢ̄ܬܵܐ: ܘܡܲܠܟ̇ܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܥܲܡ ܡܲܠܟ̇ܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ. |
[2]And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: so every one shall fight against his brother, and every one against his neighbor, city against city, and kingdom against kingdom. |
| [3]ܘܬܸܬ̣ܦܣܸܩ ܪܘܼܚܹܗ ܕܡܸܨܪܵܝܵܐ ܒܓܵܘܹܗ: ܘܬܲܪܥܝܼܬܹܗ ܐܸܛܲܒܲܥ. ܘܢܸܫ̱ܐܠܘܼܢ ܡ̣ܢ ܦܬܲܟ݂ܪܹ̈ܐ ܘܡ̣ܢ ܡܓ̣ܘܼܫܹ̈ܐ: ܘܡ̣ܢ ܙܲܟ̇ܘܼܪܹ̈ܐ ܘܡ̣ܢ ܝܲܕ̇ܘܼ̈ܥܹܐ. |
[3]And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst of her, and I will destroy their counsel, and they shall seek at the idols, and at the sorcerers, and at them that have spirits of divination, and at the soothsayers. |
| [4]ܘܐܲܫܠܸܡ ܠܡܸܨܪ̈ܵܝܹܐ ܒܐܝܼܕ݂ܵܐ ܕܡܵܪ̈ܲܝܵܐ ܩܫܲܝܵـ̈ـܐ. ܘܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܥܲܫܝܼܢܵܐ ܢܸܫܬܲܠܲܛ ܒܗܘܿܢ: ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ. |
[4]And I will deliver the Egyptians into the hand of the cruel lords, and a mighty king shall rule over them, saith the Lord God of hosts. |
| [5]ܘܲܢܓܘܼܙܘܼܢ ܡܲـ̈ـܝܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܝܲܡܵܐ. ܘܢܲܗܪܵܐ ܢܸܚܪܲܒ̣ ܘܢܹܐܒܲܫ. |
[5]Then the waters of the sea shall fail, and the rivers shall be dried up, and wasted. |
| [6]ܘܲܢܓܘܼܙܘܼܢ ܢܲܗܪ̈ܵܘܵܬ̣ܵܐ: ܘܢܸܬ̣ܡܲܣܟ̇ܢܘܼܢ. ܘܢܸܚܪ̱ܒ̣ܘܼܢ ܢܲܗܪ̈ܵܘܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܥܲܫܝܼܢܹ̈ܐ. ܩܲܢܝܵܐ ܘܐܲܪܒܵܢܵܐ ܘܦܵܦܹܪܘܿܢ ܢܹܐܒ̣ܫܘܼܢ. |
[6]And the rivers shall go far away: the rivers of defense shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall be cut down. |
| [7]ܘܠܘܿܥܵܐ ܕܥܲܠ ܢܲܗܪܵܐ: ܘܥܲܠ ܦܘܼܡܹܗ ܕܢܲܗܪܵܐ: ܘܟ݂ܠ ܕܡܸܙܕܲܪܲܥ ܥܲܠ ܓܲܒܹ̇ܗ ܕܢܲܗܪܵܐ ܢܹܐܒܲܫ. ܘܢܸܫܬ̇ܩܸܦ ܘܠܵܐ ܢܸܫܬ̇ܟܲܚ. |
[7]The grass in the river, and at the head of the rivers, and all that groweth by the river, shall wither, and be driven away, and be no more. |
| [8]ܘܢܹܐܠܘܿܢ ܨܲܝܵܕܹ̈ܐ. ܘܢܸܬ̇ܒ̣ܘܼܢ ܒܐܸܒ̣ܠܵܐ ܕܪܵܡܹ̇ܝܢ ܨܸܢܵܪ̈ܝܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܒܢܲܗܪܵܐ. ܘܲܕ݂ܦܲܪܣܝܼܢ ܡܨܝܼ̈ܕ݂ܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܥܲܠ ܐܲܦܲܝ̈ ܡܲـ̈ـܝܵܐ ܐܸܬ̣ܟ̇ܪܲܗܘ. |
[8]The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the river, shall lament, and they that spread their net upon the waters, shall be weakened. |
| [9]ܘܢܸܒ̣ܗ̱ܬ̣ܘܼܢ ܥܵܒ̣̈ܕܲܝ ܟܸܬܵܢܵܐ: ܕܣܵܪܩܝܼܢ ܘܙܵܩܪܝܼܢ ܠܚܲܕ݂ܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ. |
[9]Moreover, they that work in flax of divers sorts, shall be confounded, and they that weave nets. |
| [10]ܘܢܸܬ̣ܡܲܟ̇ܟ݂ܘܼܢ ܟܠ ܕܥܵܒ̣ܕ̇ܝܼܢ ܫܲܟ݂ܪܵܐ: ܠܡܲܫܬ̇ܝܵܐ ܕܢܲܦ̮ܫܵܐ. |
[10]For their nets shall be broken, and all they, that make ponds, shall be heavy in heart. |
| [11]ܫܛܵܘ ܪܵܘ̱ܪ̈ܒ̣ܵܢܹܐ ܕܨܵܥܵܢ: ܘܚܲܟ̇ܝܼܡܹ̈ܐ ܕܡܵܠܟ̇ܝܼܢ ܠܦܸܪܥܘܼܢ ܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܡܸܠ̈ܟܹ̇ܐ ܫܵܛܲـ̈ـܝܵܐ. ܐܲܝܟܲܢܵܐ ܬܹܐܡܪܘܼܢ ܠܦܸܪܥܘܿܢ ܕܚܲܟ̇ܝܼܡܹ̈ܐ ܚܢܲܢ: ܘܲܒ̣ܢܲܝ̈ ܡܲܠ̈ܟܹ̇ܐ ܩܲܕ݂ܡܵܝܹ̈ܐ. |
[11]Surely the princes of Zoan are fools: the counsel of the wise counselors of Pharaoh is become foolish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise? I am the son of the ancient kings? |
| [12]ܐܲܝܟܵܐ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ ܚܲܟ̇ܝܼܡܲܝ̈ܟ: ܢܚܵܘܘܿܢܵܟ݂: ܘܢܸܕ̇ܥܘܼܢ ܡܵܢܵܐ ܐܸܬ̣ܪܲܥܝܼ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ ܥܲܠ ܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ. |
[12]Where are now thy wise men, that they may tell thee, or may know what the Lord of hosts hath determined against Egypt? |
| [13]ܫܛ̣ܵܘ ܪܵܘ̱ܪ̈ܒ̣ܵܢܹܐ ܕܨܵܥܵܢ. ܐܸܬ̇ܬ̇ܪܝܼܡܘ ܪܵܘ̱ܪ̈ܒ̣ܵܢܹܐ ܕܡܲܦܵܣ: ܘܐܲܛܥܝܼܘ ܠܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ ܒܙܵܘ̈ܝܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܫܲܪ̈ܒ̣ܵܬ̣ܵܗ̇. |
[13]The princes of Zoan are become fools: the princes of Noph are deceived, they have deceived Egypt, even the corners of the tribes thereof. |
| [14]ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܡ̣ܙܲܓ̣ ܒܓ̣ܵܘܵܗ̇ ܪܘܼܚܵܐ ܛܵܥܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ: ܘܐܲܛܥ̱ܝܹܗ ܠܡܸܨܪܵܝܵܐ ܒܟ݂ܠܗܘܿܢ ܥܒ̣ܵܕ݂ܵܘ̈ܗܝ: ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܕܛܵܥܹ̇ܐ ܪܵܘܝܵܐ ܒܲܬ̣ܝܵܒ̣ܬܹ̇ܗ. |
[14]The Lord hath mingled among them the spirit of errors: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man erreth in his vomit. |
| [15]ܘܠܵܐ ܢܸܗܘܹܐ ܠܡܸܨܪܵܝܵܐ ܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܕܢܸܥܒܸ̇ܕ݂ ܪܹܫܵܐ ܘܕ݂ܘܼܢܒ̇ܬ̣ܵܐ: ܘܕ݂ܘܼܢܒܬ̣ܵܐ ܘܪܹܫܵܐ. |
[15]Neither shall there be any work in Egypt, which the head may do, nor the tail, the branch nor the rush. |
| [16]ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܗܵܘܿ: ܢܸܗܘܹܐ ܡܸܨܪܵܝܵܐ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܢܸܫܹ̈ܐ. ܘܢܸܕ݂ܚܲܠ ܘܲܢܙܘܼܥ ܡ̣ܢ ܩܕ݂ܵܡ ܪܵܘܡܵܐ ܕܐܝܼܕܹܗ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ ܕܲܡܪܝܼܡ ܥܠܵܘܗܝ. |
[16]In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: for it shall be afraid and fear because of the moving of the hand of the Lord of hosts, which he shaketh over it. |
| [17]ܘܬܸܗܘܹܐ ܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܕܲܝܗܘܼܕ݂ܵܐ ܠܡܸܨܪܵܝܵܐ ܠܣܘܼܪܵܕ݂ܵܐ. ܘܟ݂ܠ ܕܢܲܕ݂ܟ̇ܪܝܼܗ̇ ܠܹܗ: ܢܸܬ̣ܪ̱ܗܸܒ̣: ܡ̣ܢ ܩܕ݂ܵܡ ܬܲܪܥܝܼܬܹܗ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ ܕܐܸܬ̣ܪܲܥܝܼ ܥܠܵܘܗܝ. |
[17]And the land of Judah shall be a fear unto Egypt: everyone that maketh mention of it, shall be afraid thereat, because of the counsel of the Lord of hosts, which he hath determined upon it. |
| [18]ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܗܵܘܿ: ܢܸܗ̱ܘ̈ܝܵܢ ܚܲܡܸܫ ܩܘܼܪ̈ܝܵܐ ܒܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܕܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ: ܕܲܡܡܲܠ̈ܠܵܢ ܒܠܸܫܵܢܵܐ ܟܢܲܥܢܵܝܵܐ. ܘܝܵܡ̈ܝܵܢ ܒܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ. ܘܲܚܕ݂ܵܐ ܡܸܢܗܹܝܢ ܗܲܪܸܣ ܬܸܬ̣ܩ̄ܪܸܐ. |
[18]In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and shall swear by the Lord of hosts. One shall be called the city of destruction. |
| [19]ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܗܵܘܿ: ܢܸܗܘܹܐ ܡܲܕ݂ܒ̇ܚܵܐ ܠܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ ܒܓ̣ܵܘܵܗ̇ ܕܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܕܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ: ܘܩܵܝܑܹܡܬ̣ܵܐ ܠܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܥܲܠ ܓܸܢ̄ܒ̣ ܬܚܘܼܡܹ̈ܝܗ̇. |
[19]In that day shall the altar of the Lord be in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar by the border thereof unto the Lord. |
| [20]ܘܬܸܗܘܹܐ ܠܐܵܬ̤ܵܐ ܘܲܠܣܵܗܕ̇ܘܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܠܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ ܒܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܕܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ: ܡܸܛܠ ܕܢܸܓ̣ܥܘܿܢ ܩܕ݂ܵܡ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܩܕ݂ܵܡ ܐܵܠܘܿܨܵܐ. ܘܲܢܫܲܕܲܪ ܠܗܘܿܢ ܦܵܪܘܿܩܵܐ: ܘܕܲܝܵܢܵܐ: ܘܲܢܦܲܨܹܐ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ. |
[20]And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the Lord, because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a savior and a great man, and shall deliver them. |
| [21]ܘܢܸܬ̣̱ܝܼܕܲܥ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܠܡܸܨܪ̈ܵܝܹܐ: ܘܢܸܕ̇ܥܘܼܢܹܗ ܡܸܨܪ̈ܵܝܹܐ ܠܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܗܵܘܿ. ܘܲܢܩܲܪܒ̣ܘܼܢ ܕܸܒ̣ܚܹ̈ܐ ܘܲܣܡܝܼܕ݂ܵܐ. ܘܢܸܕ̇ܪܘܼܢ ܢܸܕ݂ܪܹ̈ܐ ܠܡܵܪܝܵܐ: ܘܲܢܫܲܠܡܘܼܢ. |
[21]And the Lord shall be known of the Egyptians, and the Egyptians shall know the Lord in that day, and do sacrifice and oblation, and shall vow vows unto the Lord, and perform them. |
| [22]ܘܢܸܡܚܸܐ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܠܡܸܨܪ̈ܵܝܹܐ ܡܚܘܿܬ̣ܵܐ: ܘܢܲܐܣܸܐ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ. ܘܢܸܬ̣ܦ̄ܢܘܿܢ ܠܘܵܬ̣ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ: ܘܢܸܥܢܸܐ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ: ܘܢܲܐܣܹܐ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ. |
[22]So the Lord shall smite Egypt, he shall smite and heal it: for he shall return unto the Lord, and he shall be entreated of them and shall heal them. |
| [23]ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܗܵܘܿ: ܢܸܗܘܹܐ ܫܒ̣ܝܼܥܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ ܐܵܬ̣ܘܿܪ: ܘܡ̣ܢ ܐܵܬ̣ܘܿܪ ܠܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ. ܘܢܸܥܘܿܠ ܐܵܬ̣ܘܿܪܵܝܵܐ ܠܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ: ܘܡܸܨܪܵܝܵܐ ܠܐܵܬ̣ܘܿܪ. ܘܢܸܦ̱ܠܚܘܼܢ ܡܸܨܪ̈ܵܝܹܐ ܠܐܵܬ̣ܘܿܪ̈ܵܝܹܐ. |
[23]In that day shall there be a path from Egypt to Asshur [Assyria], and Asshur [Assyria] shall come into Egypt, and Egypt into Asshur [Assyria] so the Egyptians shall worship with Asshur [Assyria]. |
| [24]ܒܝܵܘܡܵܐ ܗܵܘܿ ܢܸܗܘܹܐ ܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ ܚܲܕ݂ ܡ̣ܢ ܬܠܵܬ̣ܵܐ: ܠܡܸܨܪ̈ܵܝܹܐ ܘܠܵܐܬ̣ܘܿܪ̈ܵܝܹܐ ܒܘܼܪܟ̇ܬ̣ܵܐ ܒܓ̣ܵܘ ܐܲܪܥܵܐ. |
[24]In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and Asshur [Assyria], even a blessing in the midst of the land. |
| [25]ܕܠܹܗ ܒܲܪܸܟ݂ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ: ܘܐܸܡܲܪ ܒܪܝܼܟ݂ ܥܲܡܝ ܕܲܒ̣ܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ: ܘܲܥܒ̣ܵܕ݂ ܐܝܼ̈ܕܲܝ ܕܒ̣ܵܐܬ̣ܘܿܪ. ܘܝܘܼܪܬܵܢܝ ܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ. |
[25]For the Lord of hosts shall bless it, saying, Blessed be my people Egypt and Asshur [Assyria], the work of mine hands, and Israel mine inheritance. |
