| [1]ܒܗܘܿܢ ܒܝܵܘ̈ܡܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܗܵܢ̇ܘܿܢ: ܐܸܬ̣ܟ̇ܪܲܗ ܚܹܙܲܩܝܵܐ ܠܲܡܡܵܬ̣. ܘܐܸܬ̣ܵܐ ܠܘܵܬܹܗ ܐܹܫܲܥܝܵܐ ܢܒ̣ܝܼܵܐ ܒܲܪ ܐܵܡܘܿܨ: ܘܐܸܡܲܪ ܠܹܗ: ܗܵܟܲܢܵܐ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ. ܦܲܩܸܕ݂ ܥܲܠ ܒܲܝܬܵܟ݂: ܡܸܛܠ ܕܡܵܐܹ̇ܬ̣ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇: ܘܠܵܐ ܚܵܝܹ̇ܐ ܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇. |
[1]About that time was Hezekiah sick unto the death, and the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz came unto him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Put thine house in an order, for thou shalt die, and not live. |
| [2]ܘܐܲܦܢܝܼ ܚܹܙܲܩܝܵܐ ܐܲܦܵܘ̈ܗܝ ܠܐܸܣܬ̣ܵܐ. ܘܨܲܠܝܼ ܩܕ݂ܵܡ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܘܐܸܡܲܪ. |
[2]Then Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed to the Lord, |
| [3]ܐܘܿܢ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ: ܐܸܬ̇ܕܲܟ݂ܪ ܕܗܲܠܟܹ̇ܬ̣ ܩܕ݂ܵܡܲܝܟ ܒܩܘܼܫܬܵܐ: ܘܲܒ̣ܠܸܒܵܐ ܫܲܠܡܵܐ: ܘܲܕ݂ܫܲܦܝܼܪ ܩܕ݂ܵܡܲܝܟ ܥܸܒ̣ܕܹ̇ܬ̣ ܘܲܒ̣ܟ݂ܵܐ ܚܹܙܲܩܝܵܐ ܒܟ݂ܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܪܲܒ̇ܬ̣ܵܐ. |
[3]And said, I beseech thee, Lord, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth, and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight: and Hezekiah wept sore. |
| [4]ܘܲܗܘ̤ܵܐ ܦܸܬ̣ܓ̣ܵܡܹܗ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܥܲܠ ܐܹܫܲܥܝܵܐ ܢܒ̣ܝܼܵܐ: ܠܡܹܐܡܲܪ. |
[4]Then came the word of the Lord to Isaiah, saying, |
| [5]ܙܸܠ ܐܸܡܲܪ ܠܚܹܙܲܩܝܵܐ ܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܕܲܝܗܘܼܕ݂ܵܐ: ܗܵܟܲܢܵܐ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܐܲܠܵܗܹܗ ܕܕ݂ܵܘܝܼܕ݂ ܐܲܒ̣ܘܼܟ݂: ܫܸܡܥܹ̇ܬ̣ ܨܠܘܿܬ̣ܵܟ݂: ܘܲܚܙܹ̇ܝܬ̣ ܕܸܡܥܲܝ̈ܟ ܗܵܐ ܡܵܘܣܸܦ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܥܲܠ ܝܵܘ̈ܡܵܬ̣ܵܟ݂ ܚܲܡܫܲܥܸܣܪܹ̈ܐ ܫܢܝܼ̈ܢ. |
[5]Go, and say unto Hezekiah, Thus saith the Lord God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, and seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years. |
| [6]ܘܡ̣ܢ ܐܝܼܕ݂ܵܘܗܝ ܕܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܕܐܵܬ̣ܘܿܪ ܐܹܦܲܨܹܝܟ݂: ܘܠܲܡܕ݂ܝܼܢ̄ܬܵܐ ܗܵܕܹܐ. ܘܐܲܓܸ̇ܢ ܥܲܠ ܡܕ݂ܝܼܢ̄ܬܵܐ ܗܵܕܹܐ: ܘܐܸܦ̱ܪܩܝܼܗ̇. |
[6]And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the king of Asshur [Assyria], and this city: for I will defend this city. |
| [7]ܘܗܵܕܹܐ ܠܵܟ݂ ܐܵܬ̤ܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܩܕ݂ܵܡ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܕܥܵܒܹ̇ܕ݂ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܦܸܬ̣ܓ̣ܵܡܵܐ ܗܵܢܵܐ ܕܐܸܡܲܪ. |
[7]And this sign shalt thou have of the Lord, that the Lord will do this thing that he hath spoken, |
| [8]ܗܵܐ ܡܲܗܦܸܟ݂ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܛܸܠܵܠܵܐ ܕܕܲܪ̈ܓܹܐ ܕܢܵܚܹ̇ܬ̣ ܒܕܲܪ̈ܓܹܐ ܕܐܵܚܵܙ ܐܲܒ̣ܘܼܟ݂: ܫܸܡܫܵܐ ܠܒܸܣܬ̇ܪܹܗ ܥܸܣܪܵܐ ܕܲܪ̈ܓ̣ܝܼܢ ܘܲܗܦܲܟ݂ ܫܸܡܫܵܐ ܠܒܸܣܬ̇ܪܹܗ ܥܸܣܪܵܐ ܕܲܪ̈ܓ̣ܝܼܢ: ܒܕܲܪ̈ܓܹܐ ܕܲܢܚܸܬ̣. |
[8]Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees (whereby it is gone down in the dial of Ahaz by the sun) ten degrees backward: so the sun returned by ten degrees, by the which degrees it was gone down. |
| [9]ܟܬ̣ܵܒܹܗ ܕܚܹܙܲܩܝܵܐ ܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܕܲܝܗܘܼܕ݂ܵܐ: ܟܲܕ݂ ܐܸܬ̣ܟ̇ܪܲܗ: ܘܲܚܝܵܐ ܡ̣ܢ ܟܘܼܪܗܵܢܹܗ. |
[9]The writing of Hezekiah king of Judah, when he had been sick, and was recovered of his sickness. |
| [10]ܐܸܢܵܐ ܐܸܡ̇ܪܹܬ̣ ܕܲܒ̣ܦܸܠܓ̇ܘܼܬ̣ ܝܵܘ̈ܡܲܝ ܐܹܙܲܠ: ܒܬܲܪܥܵܐ ܕܲܫܝܘܿܠ ܫܸܒ̣̇ܩܹܬ̣ ܫܲܪܟܵܐ ܕܲܫܢܲܝ̈. |
[10]I said in the cutting off of my days, I shall go to the gates of the grave: I am deprived of the residue of my years. |
| [11]ܐܸܡ̇ܪܹܬ̣ ܕܠܵܐ ܐܸܚܙܹܐ ܠܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܒܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܕܚܲܝܹ̈ܐ ܘܬ̣ܘܼܒ̣ ܠܵܐ ܐܸܚܙܹܐ ܐ̄ܢܵܫܵܐ ܥܲܡ ܥܵܡ̇ܪ̈ܲܝ ܚܸܦܪܵܐ. |
[11]I said, I shall not see the Lord, even the Lord in the land of the living: I shall see man no more among the inhabitants of the world. |
| [12]ܕܵܪܝ ܫ̣ܩܲܠ ܘܲܥܒܲܪ ܡܹܢܝ: ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܡܲܫܟ̇ܢܵܐ ܕܪ̈ܵܥܵܘܵܬ̣ܵܐ. ܐܸܬ̣ܩܦܸܕ݂ܘ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܣܝܼܪ̈ܵܣ ܚܲܝܲܝ̈. ܘܐܲܝܟ݂ ܢܵܘܠܵܐ ܕܩܲܪܝܼܒ̣ ܠܡܸܬ̣ܓ̇ܕ݂ܵܕ݂ܘܼ. ܡ̣ܢ ܐܝܼܡܵܡܵܐ ܘܲܥܕܲܡܵܐ ܠܠܸܠܝܵܐ ܐܲܫܠܸܡܬܵܢܝ. |
[12]Mine habitation is departed, and is removed from me, like a shepherd's tent: I have cut off like a weaver my life: he will cut me off from the height: from day to night, thou wilt make an end of me. |

[13]I reckoned to the morning: but he break all my bones, like a lion: from day to night wilt thou make an end of me. |
| [14]ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܣܢܘܿܢܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܲܡܢܲܨܪܵܐ ܢܲܨ̇ܪܹܬ̣ ܘܐܲܝܟ݂ ܝܵܘܢܵܐ ܢܲܗܡܹ̇ܬ̣ ܐܲܪܝܼܡܹ̇ܬ̣ ܥܲܝܢܲܝ̈ ܠܲܡܪܵܘܡܵܐ. ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܦܲܨܵܢܝ: ܘܒܲܣܸܡܲܝܢܝ. |
[14]Like a crane or a swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as a dove: mine eyes were lift up on high: O Lord, it hath oppressed me, comfort me. |
| [15]ܘܡܵܢܵܐ ܐܹܡܲܠܸܠ: ܐܸܡܲܪ ܠܝܼ ܘܗ̤ܘ ܥ̣ܒܲܪ ܘܐܲܢܸܕ݂ ܟܠܵܗ̇ ܫܸܢܲܬ̣ܝ: ܥܲܠ ܡܪܵܪܹ̈ܐ ܕܢܲܦ̮ܫܝ. ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܥܠܲܝܗܘܿܢ ܢܸܚܘܼܢ. |
[15]What shall I say? For he hath said it to me, and he hath done it: I shall walk weakly all my years in the bitterness of my soul. |
| [16]ܡܸܛܠ ܗܵܠܹܝܢ ܚܲܝܹ̈ܐ ܕܪܘܼܚܝ ܐܲܚܠܸܡܲܝܢܝ ܘܐܲܚܵܢܝ. |
[16]O Lord, to them that over live them, and to all that are in them, the life of my spirit shall be known, that thou causest me to sleep and hast given life to me. |
| [17]ܗܵܐ ܠܲܫܠܵܡܵܐ ܡܲܪܘ ܠܝܼ ܡܪܵܪܹ̈ܐ. ܘܐܲܢ̄ܬ̇ ܨܒܲܝܬ̇ ܒܢܲܦ̮ܫܝ ܕܠܵܐ ܬܸܒ̣ܠܸܐ ܒܲܚܒ̣ܵܠܵܐ ܡܸܛܠ ܕܲܫܕܲܝܬ̇ ܒܸܣܬܲܪ ܓܘܼܫܡܵܟ݂ ܟܠܗܘܿܢ ܚܛܵܗܲܝ̈. |
[17]Behold, for felicity I had bitter grief, but it was thy pleasure to deliver my soul from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back. |
| [18]ܡܸܛܠ ܕܠܵܐ ܫܝܘܿܠ ܬܵܪܕܹ̇ܐ ܠܵܟ݂. ܘܐܵܦܠܵܐ ܡܵܘܬܵܐ ܢܫܒ̇ܚܵܟ݂ ܘܠܵܐ ܢܣܲܒ̇ܪܘܼܢ ܠܩܘܼܫܬܵܟ݂ ܐܲܝܠܹܝܢ ܕܢܵܚܬ̇ܝܼܢ ܠܓ̣ܘܼܒܵܐ. |
[18]For the grave cannot confess thee: death cannot praise thee: they that go down into the pit, cannot hope for thy truth. |
| [19]ܐܸܠܵܐ ܢܵܘܕ̇ܘܿܢ ܠܵܟ݂ ܚܲܝܹ̈ܐ ܕܐܲܟ݂ܘܵܬ̣ܝ ܝܵܘܡܵܢܵܐ ܘܐܲܒ̣ܵܐ ܠܲܒ̣̈ܢܲܝܵܐ ܢܚܵܘܸܐ ܗܲܝܡܵܢܘܼܬ̣ܵܟ݂. |
[19]But the living, the living, he shall confess thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall declare thy truth. |
| [20]ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܢܸܦ̱ܪܩܲܢ: ܘܬܸܫ̈ܒ̇ܚܵܬܹܗ ܢܫܲܒܲܚ: ܟܠܗܘܿܢ ܝܵܘ̈ܡܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܚܲܝܲܝ̈ܢ: ܒܒܲܝܬܹ̇: ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ. |
[20]The Lord was ready to save me: therefore we will sing my song, all the days of our life in the house of the Lord. |
| [21]ܘܐܸܡܲܪ ܚܹܙܲܩܝܵܐ: ܡܵܢܲܐܗ̄ܝܼ ܐܵܬ̤ܵܐ ܕܣܵܠܹ̇ܩ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܠܒܲܝܬܹ̇ܗ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ. |
[21]Then said Isaiah, Take a lump of dry figs and lay it upon the boil, and he shall recover. |
| [22]ܘܐܸܡܲܪ ܐܹܫܲܥܝܵܐ: ܢܸܣܒ̣ܘܼܢ ܕܒܲܠܬ̣ܵܐ ܕܬܹܐܢܹ̈ܐ. ܘܲܢܣܝܼܡܘܼܢ ܥܲܠ ܫܘܼܚܢܵܐ: ܘܡܸܬ̣ܚ̄ܠܸܡ. |
[22]Also Hezekiah had said, What is the sign, that I shall go up into the house of the Lord? |
