[1]CryH7121[H8798] aloudH1627, spareH2820[H8799] not, liftH7311[H8685] up thy voiceH6963 like a trumpetH7782, and shewH5046[H8685] my peopleH5971 their transgressionH6588, and the houseH1004 of JacobH3290 their sinsH2403. |
[1]Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a horn, and declare unto My people their transgression, and to the house of Jacob their sins. |
[2]Yet they seekH1875[H8799] me dailyH3117[H3117], and delightH2654[H8799] to knowH1847 my waysH1870, as a nationH1471 that didH6213[H8804] righteousnessH6666, and forsookH5800[H8804] not the ordinanceH4941 of their GodH430: they askH7592[H8799] of me the ordinancesH4941 of justiceH6664; they take delightH2654[H8799] in approachingH7132 to GodH430. |
[2]Yet they seek Me daily, and delight to know My ways; as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God, they ask of Me righteou ordinances, they delight to draw near unto God. |
[3]Wherefore have we fastedH6684[H8804], say they, and thou seestH7200[H8804] not? wherefore have we afflictedH6031[H8765] our soulH5315, and thou takest no knowledgeH3045[H8799]? Behold, in the dayH3117 of your fastH6685 ye findH4672[H8799] pleasureH2656, and exactH5065[H8799] all your laboursH6092. |
[3]'Wherefore have we fasted, and Thou seest no Wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and Thou takest no knowledge?'—Behold, in the day of your fast ye pursue your business, and exact all your labours. |
[4]Behold, ye fastH6684[H8799] for strifeH7379 and debateH4683, and to smiteH5221[H8687] with the fistH106 of wickednessH7562: ye shall not fastH6684[H8799] as ye do this dayH3117, to make your voiceH6963 to be heardH8085[H8687] on highH4791. |
[4]Behold, ye fast for strife and contention, and to smite with the fist of wickedness; ye fast not this day so as to make your voice to be heard on high. |
[5]Is it such a fastH6685 that I have chosenH977[H8799]? a dayH3117 for a manH120 to afflictH6031[H8763] his soulH5315? is it to bow downH3721[H8800] his headH7218 as a bulrushH100, and to spreadH3331[H8686] sackclothH8242 and ashesH665 under him? wilt thou callH7121[H8799] thisH2088 a fastH6685, and an acceptableH7522 dayH3117 to the LORDH3068? |
[5]Is such the fast that I have chosen? the day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? Wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇? |
[6]Is not this the fastH6685 that I have chosenH977[H8799]? to looseH6605[H8763] the bandsH2784 of wickednessH7562, to undoH5425[H8687] the heavyH4133 burdensH92, and to let the oppressedH7533[H8803] goH7971[H8763] freeH2670, and that ye breakH5423[H8762] every yokeH4133? |
[6]Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the fetters of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? |
[7]Is it not to dealH6536[H8800] thy breadH3899 to the hungryH7457, and that thou bringH935[H8686] the poorH6041 that are cast outH4788 to thy houseH1004? when thou seestH7200[H8799] the nakedH6174, that thou coverH3680[H8765] him; and that thou hideH5956[H8691] not thyself from thine own fleshH1320? |
[7]Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him, and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh? |
[8]Then shall thy lightH216 break forthH1234[H8735] as the morningH7837, and thine healthH724 shall spring forthH6779[H8799] speedilyH4120: and thy righteousnessH6664 shall goH1980[H8804] beforeH6440 thee; the gloryH3519 of the LORDH3068 shall be thy rerewardH622.[H8799] |
[8]Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thy healing shall spring forth speedily; and righteousness shall go before thee, the glory of 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 shall be thy rearward. |
[9]Then shalt thou callH7121[H8799], and the LORDH3068 shall answerH6030[H8799]; thou shalt cryH7768[H8762], and he shall sayH559[H8799], Here I am. If thou take awayH5493[H8686] from the midstH8432 of thee the yokeH4133, the putting forthH7971[H8800] of the fingerH676, and speakingH1696[H8763] vanityH205; |
[9]Then shalt thou call, and 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 will answer; thou shalt cry, and He will say: 'Here I am.' If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking wickedness; |
[10]And if thou draw outH6329[H8686] thy soulH5315 to the hungryH7457, and satisfyH7646[H8686] the afflictedH6031[H8737] soulH5315; then shall thy lightH216 riseH2224[H8804] in obscurityH2822, and thy darknessH653 be as the noondayH6672: |
[10]And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in darkness, and thy gloom be as the noon-day; |
[11]And the LORDH3068 shall guideH5148[H8804] thee continuallyH8548, and satisfyH7646[H8689] thy soulH5315 in droughtH6710, and make fatH2502[H8686] thy bonesH6106: and thou shalt be like a wateredH7302 gardenH1588, and like a springH4161 of waterH4325, whose watersH4325 failH3576 notH8762. |
[11]And 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 will guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make strong thy bones; and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not. |
[12]And they that shall be of thee shall buildH1129[H8804] the oldH5769 waste placesH2723: thou shalt raise upH6965[H8787] the foundationsH4146 of manyH1755 generationsH1755; and thou shalt be calledH7121[H8795], The repairerH1443[H8802] of the breachH6556, The restorerH7725[H8789] of pathsH5410 to dwell inH3427.[H8800] |
[12]And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places, thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called The repairer of the breach, the restorer of paths to dwell in. |
[13]If thou turn awayH7725[H8686] thy footH7272 from the sabbathH7676, from doingH6213[H8800] thy pleasureH2656 on my holyH6944 dayH3117; and callH7121[H8804] the sabbathH7676 a delightH6027, the holyH6918 of the LORDH3068, honourableH3513[H8794]; and shalt honourH3513[H8765] him, not doingH6213[H8800] thine own waysH1870, nor findingH4672[H8800] thine own pleasureH2656, nor speakingH1696[H8763] thine own wordsH1697: |
[13]If thou turn away thy foot because of the sabbath, from pursuing thy business on My holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, and the holy of 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 honourable; and shalt honour it, not doing thy wonted ways, nor pursuing thy business, nor speaking thereof; |
[14]Then shalt thou delightH6026[H8691] thyself in the LORDH3068; and I will cause thee to rideH7392[H8689] upon the high placesH1116 of the earthH776, and feedH398[H8689] thee with the heritageH5159 of JacobH3290 thy fatherH1: for the mouthH6310 of the LORDH3068 hath spokenH1696 itH8765. |
[14]Then shalt thou delight thyself in 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇, and I will make thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and I will feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father; for the mouth of 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 hath spoken it. |
