| [2]and he saith to his mother, `The eleven hundred silverlings which have been taken of thine, and [of which] thou hast sworn, and also spoken in mine ears; lo, the silver [is] with me, I have taken it;' and his mother saith, `Blessed [is] my son of Jehovah.' |
[2]And he saidH559[H8799] unto his motherH517, The eleven hundredH505[H3967] shekels of silverH3701 that were takenH3947[H8795] from thee, about which thou cursedstH422[H8804], and spakestH559[H8804] of also in mine earsH241, behold, the silverH3701 is with me; I tookH3947[H8804] it. And his motherH517 saidH559[H8799], BlessedH1288[H8803] be thou of the LORDH3068, my sonH1121. |
| [3]And he giveth back the eleven hundred silverlings to his mother, and his mother saith, `I had certainly sanctified the silver to Jehovah, from my hand, for my son, to make a graven image, and a molten image; and now, I give it back to thee.' |
[3]And when he had restoredH7725[H8686] the eleven hundredH505[H3967] shekels of silverH3701 to his motherH517, his motherH517 saidH559[H8799], I had whollyH6942[H8687] dedicatedH6942[H8689] the silverH3701 unto the LORDH3068 from my handH3027 for my sonH1121, to makeH6213[H8800] a graven imageH6459 and a molten imageH4541: now therefore I will restoreH7725 it unto theeH8686. |
| [4]And he giveth back the money to his mother, and his mother taketh two hundred silverlings, and giveth them to a refiner, and he maketh them a graven image, and a molten image, and it is in the house of Micah. |
[4]Yet he restoredH7725[H8686] the moneyH3701 unto his motherH517; and his motherH517 tookH3947[H8799] two hundredH3967 shekels of silverH3701, and gaveH5414[H8799] them to the founderH6884[H8802], who madeH6213[H8799] thereof a graven imageH6459 and a molten imageH4541: and they were in the houseH1004 of MicahH4321. |
| [5]As to the man Micah, he hath a house of gods, and he maketh an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrateth the hand of one of his sons, and he is to him for a priest; |
[5]And the manH376 MicahH4318 had an houseH1004 of godsH430, and madeH6213[H8799] an ephodH646, and teraphimH8655, and consecratedH4390[H8762][H3027] oneH259 of his sonsH1121, who became his priestH3548. |
| [6]in those days there is no king in Israel, each that which is right in his own eyes doth. |
[6]In those daysH3117 there was no kingH4428 in IsraelH3478, but every manH376 didH6213[H8799] that which was rightH3477 in his own eyesH5869. |
| [7]And there is a young man of Beth-Lehem-Judah, of the family of Judah, and he [is] a Levite, and he [is] a sojourner there. |
[7]And there was a young manH5288 out of BethlehemjudahH1035[H3063] of the familyH4940 of JudahH3063, who was a LeviteH3881, and he sojournedH1481 thereH8804. |
| [8]And the man goeth out of the city, out of Beth-Lehem-Judah, to sojourn where he doth find, and cometh to the hill-country of Ephraim, unto the house of Micah, to work his way. |
[8]And the manH376 departedH3212[H8799] out of the cityH5892 from BethlehemjudahH1035[H3063] to sojournH1481[H8800] where he could findH4672[H8799] a place: and he cameH935[H8799] to mountH2022 EphraimH669 to the houseH1004 of MicahH4318, as he journeyedH6213[H8800].[H1870] |
| [9]And Micah saith to him, `Whence comest thou?' and he saith unto him, `A Levite [am] I, of Beth-Lehem-Judah, and I am going to sojourn where I do find.' |
[9]And MicahH4318 saidH559[H8799] unto him, WhenceH370 comestH935[H8799] thou? And he saidH559[H8799] unto him, I am a LeviteH3881 of BethlehemjudahH1035[H3063], and I goH1980[H8802] to sojournH1481[H8800] where I may findH4672 a placeH8799. |
| [10]And Micah saith to him, `Dwell with me, and be to me for a father and for a priest, and I give to thee ten silverlings for the days, and a suit of garments, and thy sustenance;' and the Levite goeth [in]. |
[10]And MicahH4318 saidH559[H8799] unto him, DwellH3427[H8798] with me, and be unto me a fatherH1 and a priestH3548, and I will giveH5414[H8799] thee tenH6235 shekels of silverH3701 by the yearH3117, and a suitH6187 of apparelH899, and thy victualsH4241. So the LeviteH3881 went inH3212.[H8799] |
| [11]And the Levite is willing to dwell with the man, and the young man is to him as one of his sons. |
[11]And the LeviteH3881 was contentH2974[H8686] to dwellH3427[H8800] with the manH376; and the young manH5288 was unto him as oneH259 of his sonsH1121. |
| [12]And Micah consecrateth the hand of the Levite, and the young man is to him for a priest, and he is in the house of Micah, |
[12]And MicahH4318 consecratedH4390[H8762][H3027] the LeviteH3881; and the young manH5288 became his priestH3548, and was in the houseH1004 of MicahH4318. |
| [13]and Micah saith, `Now I have known that Jehovah doth good to me, for the Levite hath been to me for a priest.' |
[13]Then saidH559[H8799] MicahH4318, Now knowH3045[H8804] I that the LORDH3068 will do me goodH3190[H8686], seeing I have a LeviteH3881 to my priestH3548. |
