[2]πενθέωVAI-AAI3SRA-NSF *ἰουδαίαN1A-NSF καίCRA-NPF πύληN1-NPF αὐτόςRD-GSF κενόωVCI-API3P καίC σκοτόωVCI-API3P ἐπίPRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF καίCRA-NSF κραυγήN1-NSFRA-GSF *ἰερουσαλήμN--GSF ἀναβαίνωVZI-AAI3S [2]Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish, they bow down in black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.

[5]καίC ἔλαφοςN2-NPM ἐνP ἀγρόςN2-DSM τίκτωVBI-AAI3P καίC ἐν καταλείπωVBI-AAI3P ὅτιC οὐD εἰμίV9-IAI3S βοτάνηN1-NSF [5]Yea, the hind also in the field calveth, and forsaketh her young, because there is no grass,
[6]ὄνοςN2-NPM ἄγριοςA1A-NPM ἵστημιVAI-AAI3P ἐπίP νάπηN1-APF ἕλκωVAI-AAI3P ἄνεμοςN2-ASM ἐκλείπωVBI-AAI3PRA-NPM ὀφθαλμόςN2-NPM αὐτόςRD-GPM ὅτιC οὐD εἰμίV9-IAI3S χόρτοςN2-NSM ἀπόP λαόςN2-GSM ἀδικίαN1A-GSF [6]And the wild asses stand on the high hills, they gasp for air like jackals; their eyes fail, because there is no herbage.
[7]εἰCRA-NPF ἁμαρτίαN1A-NPF ἐγώRP-GP ἀντιἵστημιVHI-AAI3P ἐγώRP-DP κύριοςN2-VSM ποιέωVA-AAD2S ἐγώRP-DP ἕνεκενP σύRP-GS ὅτιC πολύςA1-NPFRA-NPF ἁμαρτίαN1A-NPF ἐγώRP-GP ἐναντίονP σύRP-GS ὅτιC σύRP-DS ἁμαρτάνωVBI-AAI1P [7]Though our iniquities testify against us, O ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎, work Thou for Thy name's sake; for our backslidings are many, we have sinned against Thee.
[8]ὑπομονήN1-NSF *ἰσραήλN--GSM κύριοςN2-VSM καίC σώζωV1-PAI2S ἐνP καιρόςN2-DSM κακόςA1-GPM ἵναC τίςRI-ASN γίγνομαιVCI-API2S ὡσείD πάροικοςA1B-NSM ἐπίPRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF καίC ὡςC αὐτόχθωνN3N-NSM ἐκκλίνωV1-PAPNSM εἰςP κατάλυμαN3M-ASN [8]O Thou hope of Israel, the Saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest Thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night?
[9]μήD εἰμίVF-FMI2S ὥσπερD ἄνθρωποςN2-NSM ὑπνόωV4-PAPNSMC ὡςC ἀνήρN3-NSM οὐD δύναμαιV6-PMPNSM σώζωV1-PAN καίC σύRP-NS ἐνP ἐγώRP-DP εἰμίV9-PAI2S κύριοςN2-VSM καίCRA-NSN ὄνομαN3M-NSN σύRP-GS ἐπικαλέωVM-XMI3S ἐπίP ἐγώRP-AP μήD ἐπιλανθάνωVB-AAS3S ἐγώRP-GP [9]Why shouldest thou be as a man overcome, as a mighty man that cannot save? Yet Thou, O ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎, art in the midst of us, and Thy name is called upon us; leave us not.
[10]οὕτωςD λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSMRA-DSM λαόςN2-DSM οὗτοςRD-DSM ἀγαπάωVAI-AAI3P κινέωV2-PAN πούςN3D-APM αὐτόςRD-GPM καίC οὐD φείδομαιVAI-AMI3P καίCRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM οὐD εὐδοκέωVA-AAI3S ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DPM νῦνD μιμνήσκωVS-FPI3SRA-GPF ἀδικίαN1A-GPF αὐτόςRD-GPM [10]Thus saith ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ unto this people: Even so have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet; therefore ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ doth not accept them, now will He remember their iniquity, and punish their sins.
[11]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS μήD προςεὔχομαιV1-PMD2S περίPRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM οὗτοςRD-GSM εἰςP ἀγαθόςA1-APN [11]And ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ said unto me: 'Pray not for this people for their good.
[12]ὅτιC ἐάνC νηστεύωVA-AAS3P οὐD εἰςἀκούωVF-FMI1SRA-GSF δέησιςN3I-GSF αὐτόςRD-GPM καίC ἐάνC προςφέρωVA-AAS3P ὁλοκαύτωμαN3M-APN καίC θυσίαN1A-APF οὐD εὐδοκέωVF-FAI1S ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DPM ὅτιC ἐνP μάχαιραN1A-DSF καίC ἐνP λιμόςN2-DSM καίC ἐνP θάνατοςN2-DSM ἐγώRP-NS συντελέωVF-FAI1S αὐτόςRD-APM [12]When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt-offering and meal-offering, I will not accept them; but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.'
[13]καίC εἶπονVAI-AAI1SI κύριοςN2-VSM ἰδούIRA-NPM προφήτηςN1M-NPM αὐτόςRD-GPM προφητεύωV1-PAI3P καίC λέγωV1-PAI3P οὐD ὁράωVF-FMI2P μάχαιραN1A-ASF οὐδέC λιμόςN2-NSM εἰμίVF-FMI3S ἐνP σύRP-DP ὅτιC ἀλήθειαN1A-ASF καίC εἰρήνηN1-ASF δίδωμιVF-FAI1S ἐπίPRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF καίC ἐνPRA-DSM τόποςN2-DSM οὗτοςRD-DSM [13]Then said I: 'Ah, Lord ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎! behold, the prophets say unto them: Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.'
[14]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM πρόςP ἐγώRP-AS ψευδῆςA3H-APNRA-NPM προφήτηςN1M-NPM προφητεύωV1-PAI3P ἐπίPRA-DSN ὄνομαN3M-DSN ἐγώRP-GS οὐD ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI1S αὐτόςRD-APM καίC οὐD ἐντέλλομαιVAI-AMI1S αὐτόςRD-DPM καίC οὐD λαλέωVAI-AAI1S πρόςP αὐτόςRD-APM ὅτιC ὅρασιςN3I-APF ψευδήςA3H-APF καίC μαντείαN1A-APF καίC οἰώνισμαN3M-APN καίC προαίρεσιςN3I-APF καρδίαN1A-GSF αὐτόςRD-GPM αὐτόςRD-NPM προφητεύωV1-PAI3P σύRP-DP [14]Then ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ said unto me: 'The prophets prophesy lies in My name; I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spoke I unto them; they prophesy unto you a lying vision, and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their own heart.
[15]διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM περίPRA-GPM προφήτηςN1M-GPMRA-GPM προφητεύωV1-PAPGPM ἐπίPRA-DSN ὄνομαN3M-DSN ἐγώRP-GS ψευδήςA3H-APN καίC ἐγώRP-NS οὐD ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI1S αὐτόςRD-APM ὅςRR-NPM λέγωV1-PAI3P μάχαιραN1A-NSM καίC λιμόςN2-NSM οὐD εἰμίVF-FMI3S ἐπίPRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF οὗτοςRD-GSF ἐνP θάνατοςN2-DSM νοσερόςA1A-DSM ἀποθνήσκωVF2-FMI3P καίC ἐνP λιμόςN2-DSM συντελέωVS-FPI3PRA-NPM προφήτηςN1M-NPM [15]Therefore thus saith ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎: As for the prophets that prophesy in My name, and I sent them not, yet they say: Sword and famine shall not be in this land, by sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed;
[16]καίCRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM ὅςRR-DPM αὐτόςRD-NPM προφητεύωV1-PAI3P αὐτόςRD-DPM καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3P ῥίπτωVPI-XPPNPM ἐνPRA-DPF δίοδοςN2-DPF *ἰερουσαλήμN--GSF ἀπόP πρόσωπονN2N-GSN μάχαιραN1A-APF καίCRA-GSM λιμόςN2-GSM καίC οὐD εἰμίVF-FMI3SRA-NSM θάπτωV1-PAPNSM αὐτόςRD-APM καίCRA-NPF γυνήN3K-NPF αὐτόςRD-GPM καίCRA-NPM υἱόςN2-NPM αὐτόςRD-GPM καίCRA-NPF θυγάτηρN3-NPF αὐτόςRD-GPM καίC ἐκχέωVF2-FAI1S ἐπίP αὐτόςRD-APMRA-APN κακόςA1-APN αὐτόςRD-GPM [16]And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters; for I will pour their evil upon them.'
[17]καίC εἶπονVF2-FAI2S πρόςP αὐτόςRD-APMRA-ASM λόγοςN2-ASM οὗτοςRD-ASM καταἄγωVB-AAD2P ἐπίP ὀφθαλμόςN2-APM σύRP-GP δάκρυN2N-APN ἡμέραN1A-GSF καίC νύξN3-GSF καίC μήD διαλείπωVB-AAD3P ὅτιC σύντριμμαN3M-DSN συντρίβωVDI-API3S θυγάτηρN3-NSF λαόςN2-GSM ἐγώRP-GS καίC πληγήN1-DSF ὀδυνηρόςA1A-DSF σφόδραD [17]And thou shalt say this word unto them: Let mine eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease; for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.
[18]ἐάνC ἐκἔρχομαιVB-AAS1S εἰςPRA-ASN πεδίονN2N-ASN καίC ἰδούI τραυματίαςN1T-NPM μάχαιραN1A-GSF καίC ἐάνC εἰςἔρχομαιVB-AAS1S εἰςPRA-ASF πόλιςN3I-ASF καίC ἰδούI πόνοςN2-NSM λιμόςN2-GSM ὅτιC ἱερεύςN3V-NSM καίC προφήτηςN1M-NSM πορεύομαιVCI-API3P εἰςP γῆN1-ASF ὅςRR-ASF οὐD οἶδαVXI-YAI3P [18]If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! And if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! For both the prophet and the priest are gone about to a land, and knew it not.
[19]μήD ἀποδοκιμάζωV1-PAPNSM ἀποδοκιμάζωVAI-AAI2SRA-ASM *ἰούδαςN1T-ASM καίC ἀπόP *σιωνN--GSF ἀποἵστημιVHI-AAI3SRA-NSF ψυχήN1-NSF σύRP-GS ἵναC τίςRI-ASN παίζωVAI-AAI2S ἐγώRP-AP καίC οὐD εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐγώRP-DP ἴασιςN3I-NSF ὑπομένωVAI-AAI1P εἰςP εἰρήνηN1-ASF καίC οὐD εἰμίV9-IAI3S ἀγαθόςA1-NPN εἰςP καιρόςN2-ASM ἴασιςN3I-GSF καίC ἰδούI ταραχήN1-NSF [19]Hast Thou utterly rejected Judah? Hath Thy soul loathed Zion? Why hast Thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of healing, and behold terror!
[20]γιγνώσκωVZI-AAI1P κύριοςN2-VSM ἁμάρτημαN3M-APN ἐγώRP-GP ἀδικίαN1A-APF πατήρN3-GPM ἐγώRP-GP ὅτιC ἁμαρτάνωVBI-AAI1P ἐναντίονP σύRP-GS [20]We acknowledge, O ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎, our wickedness, even the iniquity of ou fathers; for we have sinned against Thee.
[21]κοπάζωVA-AAD2S διάPRA-ASN ὄνομαN3M-ASN σύRP-GS μήD ἀποὀλλύωVA-AAS2S θρόνοςN2-ASM δόξαN1S-GSF σύRP-GS μιμνήσκωVS-APD2S μήD διασκεδάζωVA-AAS2SRA-ASF διαθήκηN1-ASF σύRP-GSRA-ASF μετάP ἐγώRP-GP [21]Do not contemn us, for Thy name's sake, do not dishonour the throne of Thy glory; remember, break not Thy covenant with us.
[22]μήD εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐνP εἴδωλονN2N-DPNRA-GPN ἔθνοςN3E-GPN ὑετίζωV1-PAPNSM καίC εἰCRA-NSM οὐρανόςN2-NSM δίδωμιVF-FAI3S πλησμονήN1-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM οὐD σύRP-NS εἰμίV9-PAI2S αὐτόςRD-NSM καίC ὑπομένωVF2-FAI1P σύRP-AS ὅτιC σύRP-NS ποιέωVAI-AAI2S πᾶςA3-APN οὗτοςRD-APN [22]Are there any among the vanities of the nations that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? Art not Thou He, O ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ our God, and do we not wait for Thee? For Thou hast made all these things.
