| [1]The word which came unto Jeremiah from 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying: |
[1]καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S ἐνP ὁRA-DSN τέταρτοςA1-DSN ἔτοςN3E-DSN *σεδεκιαςN1T-DSM βασιλεύςN3V-GSM *ιουδαN--GSM ἐνP μήνN3-DSM ὁRA-DSM πέμπτοςA1-DSM εἶπονVBI-AAI3S ἐγώRP-DS *ανανιαςN1T-NSM υἱόςN2-NSM *αζωρN--GSM ὁRA-NSM ψευδοπροφήτηςN1M-NSM ὁRA-NSM ἀπόP *γαβαωνN--GS ἐνP οἶκοςN2-DSM κύριοςN2-GSM κατάP ὀφθαλμόςN2-APM ὁRA-GPM ἱερεύςN3V-GPM καίC πᾶςA3-GSM ὁRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM λέγωV1-PAPNSM |
| [2]'Go unto the house of the Rechabites, and speak unto them, and bring them into the house of 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.' |
[2]οὕτωςD εἶπονVBI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM συντρίβωVAI-AAI1S ὁRA-ASM ζυγόςN2-ASM ὁRA-GSM βασιλεύςN3V-GSM *βαβυλώνN3W-GSF |
| [3]Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habazziniah, and his brethren, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites; |
[3]ἔτιD δύοM ἔτοςN3E-APN ἡμέραN1A-GPF ἐγώRP-NS ἀποστρέφωVF-FAI1S εἰςP ὁRA-ASM τόποςN2-ASM οὗτοςRD-ASM ὁRA-APN σκεῦοςN3E-APN οἶκοςN2-GSM κύριοςN2-GSM |
| [4]And I brought them into the house of 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan the son of Igdaliah, the man of God, which was by the chamber of the princes, which was above the chamber of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the door; |
[4]καίC *ιεχονιαςN1T-ASM καίC ὁRA-ASF ἀποικίαN1A-ASF *ιουδαN--GSM ὅτιC συντρίβωVA-AAS1S ὁRA-ASM ζυγόςN2-ASM βασιλεύςN3V-GSM *βαβυλώνN3W-GSF |
| [5]And I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites goblets full of wine, and cups, and I said unto them: 'Drink ye wine.' |
[5]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *ἰερεμίαςN1T-NSM πρόςP *ανανιαςN1T-ASM κατάP ὀφθαλμόςN2-APM πᾶςA3-GSM ὁRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM καίC κατάP ὀφθαλμόςN2-APM ὁRA-GPM ἱερεύςN3V-GPM ὁRA-GPM ἵστημιVXI-XAPGPM ἐνP οἶκοςN2-DSM κύριοςN2-GSM |
| [6]But they said: 'We will drink no wine; for Jonadab the son of Rechab our father commanded us, saying: Ye shall drink no wine, neither ye, nor your sons, for ever; |
[6]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *ἰερεμίαςN1T-NSM ἀληθῶςD οὕτωςD ποιέωVA-AAO2S κύριοςN2-NSM ἵστημιVA-AAO3S ὁRA-ASM λόγοςN2-ASM σύRP-GS ὅςRR-ASM σύRP-NS προφητεύωV1-PAI2S ὁRA-GSN ἐπιστρέφωVA-AAN ὁRA-APN σκεῦοςN3E-APN οἶκοςN2-GSM κύριοςN2-GSM καίC πᾶςA1S-ASF ὁRA-ASF ἀποικίαN1A-ASF ἐκP *βαβυλώνN3W-GSF εἰςP ὁRA-ASM τόποςN2-ASM οὗτοςRD-ASM |
| [7]Neither shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any; but all your days ye shall dwell in tents, that ye may live many days in the land wherein ye sojourn. |
[7]πλήνD ἀκούωVA-AAD2P ὁRA-ASM λόγοςN2-ASM κύριοςN2-GSM ὅςRR-ASM ἐγώRP-NS λέγωV1-PAI1S εἰςP ὁRA-APN οὖςN3T-APN σύRP-GP καίC εἰςP ὁRA-APN οὖςN3T-APN πᾶςA3-GSM ὁRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM |
| [8]And we have hearkened to the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab our father in all that he charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, nor our daughters; |
[8]ὁRA-NPM προφήτηςN1M-NPM ὁRA-NPM γίγνομαιVX-XAPNPM πρότεροςA1A-NPM ἐγώRP-GS καίC πρότεροςA1A-NPM σύRP-GP ἀπόP ὁRA-GSM αἰώνN3W-GSM καίC προφητεύωVAI-AAI3P ἐπίP γῆN1-GSF πολύςA1-GSF καίC ἐπίP βασιλείαN1A-GSF μέγαςA1-APF εἰςP πόλεμοςN2-ASM |
| [9]Nor to build houses for us to dwell in, neither to have vineyard, or field, or seed; |
[9]ὁRA-NSM προφήτηςN1M-NSM ὁRA-NSM προφητεύωVA-AAPNSM εἰςP εἰρήνηN1-ASF ἔρχομαιVB-AAPGSM ὁRA-GSM λόγοςN2-GSM γιγνώσκωVF-FMI3P ὁRA-ASM προφήτηςN1M-ASM ὅςRR-ASM ἀποστέλλωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-DPM κύριοςN2-NSM ἐνP πίστιςN3I-DSF |
| [10]But we have dwelt in tents, and have hearkened, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us. |
[10]καίC λαμβάνωVBI-AAI3S *ανανιαςN1T-NSM ἐνP ὀφθαλμόςN2-DPM πᾶςA3-GSM ὁRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM ὁRA-APM κλοιόςN2-APM ἀπόP ὁRA-GSM τράχηλοςN2-GSM *ἰερεμίαςN1T-GSM καίC συντρίβωVAI-AAI3S αὐτόςRD-APM |
| [11]But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up against the land, that we said: Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Arameans; so we dwell at Jerusalem.' |
[11]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *ανανιαςN1T-NSM κατάP ὀφθαλμόςN2-APM πᾶςA3-GSM ὁRA-GSM λαόςN2-GSM λέγωV1-PAPNSM οὕτωςD εἶπονVBI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM οὕτωςD συντρίβωVA-AAS1S ὁRA-ASM ζυγόςN2-ASM βασιλεύςN3V-GSM *βαβυλώνN3W-GSF ἀπόP τράχηλοςN2-GPM πᾶςA3-GPN ὁRA-GPN ἔθνοςN3E-GPN καίC οἴχομαιV1I-IMI3S *ἰερεμίαςN1T-NSM εἰςP ὁRA-ASF ὁδόςN2-ASF αὐτόςRD-GSM |
| [12]Then came the word of 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 unto Jeremiah, saying: |
[12]καίC γίγνομαιVBI-AMI3S λόγοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM πρόςP *ἰερεμίαςN1T-ASM μετάP ὁRA-ASN συντρίβωVA-AAN *ανανιαςN1T-ASM ὁRA-APM κλοιόςN2-APM ἀπόP ὁRA-GSM τράχηλοςN2-GSM αὐτόςRD-GSM λέγωV1-PAPNSM |
| [13]'Thus saith 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 of hosts, the God of Israel: Go, and say to the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to My words? saith 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇. |
[13]βαδίζωV1-PAD2S καίC εἶπονVBI-AAD2S πρόςP *ανανιαςN1T-ASM λέγωV1-PAPNSM οὕτωςD εἶπονVBI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM κλοιόςN2-APM ξύλινοςA1-APM συντρίβωVAI-AAI2S καίC ποιέωVF-FAI1S ἀντίP αὐτόςRD-GPM κλοιόςN2-APM σιδηροῦςA1C-NSM |
| [14]The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons, not to drink wine, are performed, and unto this day they drink none, for they hearken to their father's commandment; but I have spoken unto you, speaking betimes and often, and ye have not hearkened unto Me. |
[14]ὅτιC οὕτωςD εἶπονVBI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ζυγόςN2-ASM σιδηροῦςA1C-ASM τίθημιVAI-AAI1S ἐπίP ὁRA-ASM τράχηλοςN2-ASM πᾶςA3-GPN ὁRA-GPN ἔθνοςN3E-GPN ἐργάζομαιV1-PMN ὁRA-DSM βασιλεύςN3V-DSM *βαβυλώνN3W-GSF |
| [15]I have sent also unto you all My servants the prophets, sending them betimes and often, saying: Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers; but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto Me. |
[15]καίC εἶπονVBI-AAI3S *ἰερεμίαςN1T-NSM ὁRA-DSM *ανανιαςN1T-DSM οὐD ἀποστέλλωVX-XAI3S σύRP-AS κύριοςN2-NSM καίC πείθωVX-XAN ποιέωVAI-AAI2S ὁRA-ASM λαόςN2-ASM οὗτοςRD-ASM ἐπίP ἄδικοςA1B-DSM |
| [16]Because the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father which he commanded them, but this people hath not hearkened unto Me; |
[16]διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN οὕτωςD εἶπονVBI-AAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM ἰδούI ἐγώRP-NS ἐκ ἀποστέλλωV1-PAI1S σύRP-AS ἀπόP πρόσωπονN2N-GSN ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF οὗτοςRD-DSM ὁRA-DSM ἐνιαυτόςN2-DSM ἀποθνήσκωVF2-FMI2S |
| [17]Therefore thus saith 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇, the God of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them; because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard, and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.' |
[17]καίC ἀποθνήσκωVBI-AAI3S ἐνP ὁRA-DSM μήνN3-DSM ὁRA-DSM ἕβδομοςA1-DSM |
| [18]And unto the house of the Rechabites Jeremiah said: Thus saith 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 of hosts, the God of Israel: Because ye have hearkened to the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he commanded you; |
18[No verse] |
| [19]Therefore thus saith 𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇 of hosts, the God of Israel: There shall not be cut off unto Jonadab the son of Rechab a man to stand before Me for ever.' |
