[1]And it came to pass in the ninth month of Sedekias king of Juda, that Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon came, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and they besieged it. [1]ܘܲܗܘ̤ܵܐ ܦܸܬ̣ܓ̣ܵܡܹܗ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܥܲܠ ܐܹܪܲܡܝܵܐ ܢܒ̣ܝܼܵܐ: ܕܢܸܬ̣ܢܲܒܸ̇ܐ ܥܲܠ ܥܲܡܡܹ̈ܐ.
[2]And in the eleventh year of Sedekiass, in the fourth month, on the ninth day of the month, the city was broken up. [2]ܘܥܲܠ ܡܸܨܪ̈ܵܝܹܐ: ܘܥܲܠ ܚܲܝܠܹܗ ܕܦܸܪܥܘܿܢ ܚܓ̣ܝܼܪܵܐ ܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܕܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ: ܕܫܪܸܐ ܗ̄ܘ̣ܵܐ ܥܲܠ ܢܲܗܪܵܐ ܦܪܵܬ̣ ܒܟܲܪܟ̇ܡܘܼܫ: ܕܲܩܛܲܥ̣ ܢܒ̣ܘܼܟܲܕ݂ܢܵܨܲܪ ܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܕܒ̣ܵܒܹܠ: ܒܫܲܢ̄ܬܵܐ ܪܒ̣ܝܼܥܵܝܬܵܐ ܕܝܘܿܝܵܩܝܼܡ ܒܲܪ ܝܘܿܫܝܼܵܐ ܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܕܲܝܗܘܼܕ݂ܵܐ ܠܡܹܐܡܲܪ.
[3]And all the leaders of the king of Babylon went in, and sat in the middle gate, Marganasar, and Samagoth, and Nabusachar, and Nabusaris, Nagargas, Naserrabamath, and the rest of the leaders of the king of Babylon, [3]ܗܵܟܲܢܵܐ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܚܲܝܠܬ̣ܵܢܵܐ ܐܲܠܵܗܵܐ ܕܝܼܣܪܵܝܹܠ: ܫܩܘܿܠܘ ܙܲܝܢܵܐ ܘܣܲܟ̇ܪܹ̈ܐ: ܘܲܩܪܘܿܒ̣ܘ ܠܲܩܪܵܒ̣ܵܐ.

6[No verse] [6]ܠܵܐ ܢܸܥܪܘܿܩ ܐܲܝܢܵܐ ܕܩܲܠܝܼܠ: ܘܠܵܐ ܢܸܬ̣ܦܲܠܲܛ ܐܲܝܢܵܐ ܕܓܲܢ̄ܒܵܪ ܒܓܲܢ̄ܒܵܪܹ̈ܐ: ܥܲܠ ܝܲܕ݂ ܢܲܗܪܵܐ ܦܪܵܬ̣ ܐܸܬ̇ܬ̇ܩܸܠܘ ܘܲܢܦܲܠܘ ܟܠܗܘܿܢ.

8[No verse] [8]ܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܕܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܢܲܗܪܵܐ ܣܵܠܹ̇ܩ: ܘܐܲܝܟ݂ ܢܲܗܪ̈ܵܘܵܬ̣ܵܐ ܡܸܬ̣ܪܲܓ̣ܫܝܼܢ ܡܵܘ̈ܗܝ: ܘܐܵܡܲܪ ܐܹܣܲܩ ܘܐܹܟܲܣܸܐ ܠܐܲܪܥܵܐ: ܘܐܵܘܒܸ̇ܕ݂ ܩܪܝܼܬ̣ܵܐ ܘܥܵܡܘܿܪܹ̈ܝܗ̇.

12[No verse] [12]ܫܡܲܥܘ ܥܲܡܡܹ̈ܐ ܨܲܥܪܹܟ݂ܝ: ܘܝܼܠܠܬܹ̇ܟ݂ܝ ܐܸܬ̣ܡܲܠܝܲܬ̣ ܐܲܪܥܵܐ: ܡܸܛܠ ܕܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܒܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܐܸܬ̇ܛܪܝܼܘ: ܘܲܬ̣ܪ̈ܲܝܗܘܿܢ ܒܚܲܪܒܵܐ ܢܦܲܠܘ.
13[No verse] [13]ܦܸܬ̣ܓ̣ܵܡܵܐ ܕܐܸܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܠܐܹܪܲܡܝܵܐ ܢܒ̣ܝܼܵܐ: ܕܢܹܐܬܹܐ ܢܒ̣ܘܼܟܲܕ݂ܢܵܨܲܪ ܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܕܒ̣ܵܒܹܠ ܘܢܲܚ̱ܪܒ̣ܝܼܗ̇ ܠܐܲܪܥܵܐ ܕܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ.
[14]and they sent, and took Jeremias out of the court of the prison, and gave him in charge to Godolias the son of Achicam, the son of Saphan: and they brought him out, and he sat in the midst of the people. [14]ܚܵܘܵܘ ܒܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ ܘܐܲܫܡܲܥܘ ܒܡܲܓ̣ܕ̇ܘܿܠ: ܘܐܲܫܡܲܥܘ ܒܡܲܦܲܣ: ܘܲܒ̣ܬܲܚܦܝܼܣ ܐܸܡܲܪܘ: ܐܸܬ̇ܛܲܝܲܒ̣ܘ ܘܐܸܬ̇ܬܲܩܲܢܘ: ܡܸܛܠ ܕܐܸܟ݂ܠܲܬ̤ ܚܲܪܒܵܐ ܚܕ݂ܵܪ̈ܲܝܟ̇ܝ.
[15]And the word of the Lord came to Jeremias in the court of the prison, saying, [15]ܡܸܛܠ ܡܵܢܵܐ ܐܸܣܬ̇ܚܸܦܘ ܥܲܫ̈ܝܼܢܲܝܟ̇ܝ ܘܲܢܦܲܠܘ ܘܠܵܐ ܩܵܡܘ: ܡܸܛܠ ܕܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܣܚܲܦ ܐܸܢܘܿܢ.
[16]Go and say to Abdemelech the Ethiopian, Thus said the Lord God of Israel; Behold, I will bring my words upon this city for evil, and not for good. [16]ܣܘܿܓ̣ܐܗܘܿܢ ܐܸܣܬ̇ܚܸܦܘ: ܐܵܦ ܢܦܲܠܘ ܓܲܒ̣ܪܵܐ ܥܲܠ ܚܲܒ̣ܪܹܗ ܘܐܸܡܲܪܘ: ܩܘܼܡܘ ܢܸܗܦܘܿܟ݂ ܠܥܲܡܲܢ ܘܠܲܐܪܥܵܐ ܕܐܸܬ̣̱ܝܼܠܸܕ݂ܢ ܒܵܗ̇: ܡ̣ܢ ܩܕ݂ܵܡ ܚܲܪܒܵܐ ܕܡܲܕ݂ܘ̱ܝܵܐ.
[17]But I will save thee in that day, and I will by no means deliver thee into the hands of the men before whom thou art afraid. [17]ܘܲܩܪܵܘ ܬܲܡܵܢ ܫܡܹܗ ܕܦܸܪܥܘܿܢ ܚܓ̣ܝܼܪܵܐ ܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܕܡܸܨܪܹܝܢ: ܕܵܠܘܿܚܵܐ ܘܡܲܥܒܲܪ ܙܲܒ̣ܢܹ̈ܐ.
[18]For I will surely save thee, and thou shalt by no means fall by the sword; and thou shalt find thy life, because thou didst trust in me, saith the Lord. [18]ܚܲܝ ܐ̄ܢܵܐ ܐܵܡܲܪ ܡܵܪܝܵܐ ܡܲܠܟܵܐ ܨܒ̣ܐܘܼܬ̣ ܫܡܹܗ: ܐܸܠܵܐ ܢܸܦܸܠ ܦܸܪܥܘܿܢ ܐܲܝܟ݂ ܬܒ̣ܵܪܵܐ ܕܛܘܼܪܵܐ: ܘܐܲܝܟ݂ ܟܲܪܡ̄ܠܵܐ ܒܓ̣ܵܘ ܝܲܡܵܐ.
