[3]ὅτιC αἱρέωVBI-AMI3PRA-ASM θάνατοςN2-ASMCRA-ASF ζωήN1-ASF καίC πᾶςA3-DPMRA-DPM κατάλοιποςA1B-DPMRA-DPM καταλείπωVV-APPDPM ἀπόPRA-GSF γενεάN1A-GSF ἐκεῖνοςRD-GSF ἐνP πᾶςA3-DSM τόποςN2-DSM οὗD ἐάνC ἐκὠθέωVF-FAI1S αὐτόςRD-APM ἐκεῖD [3]And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue that remain of this evil family, that remain in all the places whither I have driven them, saith ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ of hosts.

[5]διάP τίςRI-ASN ἀποστρέφωVAI-AAI3SRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM ἐγώRP-GS οὗτοςRD-NSM ἀποστροφήN1-ASF ἀναιδήςA3-ASF καίC κατακρατέωVCI-API3P ἐνPRA-DSF προαίρεσιςN3I-DSF αὐτόςRD-GPM καίC οὐD θέλωVAI-AAI3PRA-GSN ἐπιστρέφωVA-AAN [5]Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? They hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.

Every one turneth away in his course, as a horse that rusheth headlong in the battle.
[7]καίDRA-NSF ἀσίδαN1A-NSF ἐνPRA-DSM οὐρανόςN2-DSM γιγνώσκωVZI-AAI3SRA-ASM καιρόςN2-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSF τρυγώνN3N-NSF καίC χελιδώνN3N-NSF ἀγρόςN2-GSM στρουθίονN2N-NPN φυλάσσωVAI-AAI3P καιρόςN2-APM εἴσοδοςN2-GPF αὐτόςRD-GPFRA-NSM δέX λαόςN2-NSM ἐγώRP-GS οὐD γιγνώσκωVZI-AAI3SRA-APN κρίμαN3M-APN κύριοςN2-GSM [7]Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the swallow and the crane observe the time of their coming; but My people know not the ordinance of ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎.
[8]πῶςD εἶπονVF2-FAI2P ὅτιC σοφόςA1-NPM εἰμίV9-PAI1P ἐγώRP-NP καίC νόμοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM εἰμίV9-PAI3S μετάP ἐγώRP-GP εἰςP μάτηνD γίγνομαιVCI-API3S σχοῖνοςN2-NSM ψευδήςA3H-NSM γραμματεύςN3V-DPM [8]How do ye say: 'We are wise, and the Law of ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ is with us'? Lo, certainly in vain hath wrought the vain pen of the scribes.
[9]αἰσχύνωVCI-API3P σοφόςA1-NPM καίC πτοέωVCI-API3P καίC ἁλίσκωVZI-AAI3P ὅτιCRA-ASM λόγοςN2-ASM κύριοςN2-GSM ἀποδοκιμάζωVAI-AAI3P σοφίαN1A-NSF τίςRI-NSF εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DPM [9]The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken; lo, they have rejected the word of ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎; and what wisdom is in them?
[10]διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN δίδωμιVF-FAI1SRA-APF γυνήN3K-APF αὐτόςRD-GPM ἕτεροςA1A-DPM καίCRA-APM ἀγρόςN2-APM αὐτόςRD-GPMRA-DPM κληρονόμοςN2-DPM [10]Therefore will I give their wives unto others, and their fields to them that shall possess them; for from the least even unto the greatest every one is greedy for gain, from the prophet even unto the priest every one dealeth falsely.
11[No verse] [11]And they have healed the hurt of the daughter of My people lightly, saying: 'Peace, peace', when there is no peace.
12[No verse] [12]They shall be put to shame because they have committed abomination; yea, they are not at all ashamed, neither know they how to blush; therefore shall they fall among them that fall, in the time of their visitation they shall stumble, saith ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎.
[13]καίC συνἄγωVF-FAI3PRA-APN γένημαN3M-APN αὐτόςRD-GPM λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM οὐD εἰμίV9-PAI3S σταφυλήN1-NSF ἐνPRA-DPF ἄμπελοςN2-DPF καίC οὐD εἰμίV9-PAI3S σῦκονN2N-NPN ἐνPRA-DPF συκῆN1-DPF καίCRA-NPN φύλλονN2N-NPN καταῥέωVX-XAI3S [13]I will utterly consume them, saith ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎; there are no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig-tree, and the leaf is faded; and I gave them that which the transgress.

Assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the fortified cities, and let us be cut off there; for ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎ our God hath cut us off, and given us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned against ‏𐤉𐤇𐤅𐤇‎.
[15]συνἄγωVQI-API1P εἰςP εἰρήνηN1-ASF καίC οὐD εἰμίV9-IAI3S ἀγαθόςA1-NPN εἰςP καιρόςN2-ASM ἴασιςN3I-GSF καίC ἰδούI σπουδήN1-NSF [15]We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of healing, and behold terror!'

[18]ἀνίατοςA1B-NPN μετάP ὀδύνηN1-GSF καρδίαN1A-GSF σύRP-GP ἀπορέωV2-PPPGSF [18]Though I would take comfort against sorrow, my heart is faint within me.

Is not her King in her?'—'Why have they provoked Me with their graven images, and with strange vanities?'—
[20]διαἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S θέροςN3E-NSN παραἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S ἀμητόςN2-NSM καίC ἐγώRP-NP οὐD διασώζωVCI-API1P [20]'The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.'
[21]ἐπίP σύντριμμαN3M-DSN θυγάτηρN3-GSF λαόςN2-GSM ἐγώRP-GS σκοτόωVCI-API1S ἀπορίαN1A-DSF καταἰσχύωVA-AAI3P ἐγώRP-AS ὠδίνN3-NPF ὡςC τίκτωV1-PAPGSF [21]For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I seized with anguish; I am black, appalment hath taken hold on me.

Is there no physician there? Why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?
