[1]At that time, an affirmation of Jehovah, They bring the bones of the kings of Judah, And the bones of its princes, And the bones of the priests, And the bones of the prophets, And the bones of inhabitants of Jerusalem, Out of their graves, |
| [2]καίC ψύχωVF-FAI3P αὐτόςRD-APN πρόςP ὁRA-ASM ἥλιοςN2-ASM καίC ὁRA-ASF σελήνηN1-ASF καίC πρόςP πᾶςA3-APM ὁRA-APM ἀστήρN3-APM καίC πρόςP πᾶςA1S-ASF ὁRA-ASF στρατιάN1A-ASF ὁRA-GSM οὐρανόςN2-GSM ὅςRR-APN ἀγαπάωVAI-AAI3P καίC ὅςRR-DPM δουλεύωVAI-AAI3P καίC ὅςRR-GPM πορεύομαιVCI-API3P ὀπίσωP αὐτόςRD-GPM καίC ὅςRR-GPM ἀντιἔχωV1I-IMI3P καίC ὅςRR-DPM προςκυνέωVAI-AAI3P αὐτόςRD-DPM οὐD κόπτωVD-FPI3P καίC οὐD θάπτωVD-FPI3P καίC εἰμίVF-FMI3P εἰςP παράδειγμαN3M-ASN ἐπίP πρόσωπονN2N-GSN ὁRA-GSF γῆN1-GSF |
[2]And have spread them to sun, and to moon, And to all the host of the heavens, that they have loved, And that they have served, And that they have walked after, And that they have sought, And to which they have bowed themselves, They are not gathered, nor buried, They are for dung on the face of the ground. |
| [3]ὅτιC αἱρέωVBI-AMI3P ὁRA-ASM θάνατοςN2-ASM ἤC ὁRA-ASF ζωήN1-ASF καίC πᾶςA3-DPM ὁRA-DPM κατάλοιποςA1B-DPM ὁRA-DPM καταλείπωVV-APPDPM ἀπόP ὁRA-GSF γενεάN1A-GSF ἐκεῖνοςRD-GSF ἐνP πᾶςA3-DSM τόποςN2-DSM οὗD ἐάνC ἐκὠθέωVF-FAI1S αὐτόςRD-APM ἐκεῖD |
[3]And chosen is death rather than life By all the remnant who are left of this evil family, In all the remaining places, whither I have driven them, An affirmation of Jehovah of Hosts. |
| [4]ὅτιC ὅδεRD-APN λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM μήD ὁRA-NSM πίπτωV1-PAPNSM οὐD ἀναἵστημιV6-PMI3S ἤC ὁRA-NSM ἀποστρέφωV1-PAPNSM οὐD ἐπιστρέφωV1-PAI3S |
[4]And thou hast said unto them: Thus said Jehovah, Do they fall, and not rise? Doth he turn back, and not return? |
| [5]διάP τίςRI-ASN ἀποστρέφωVAI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM λαόςN2-NSM ἐγώRP-GS οὗτοςRD-NSM ἀποστροφήN1-ASF ἀναιδήςA3-ASF καίC κατακρατέωVCI-API3P ἐνP ὁRA-DSF προαίρεσιςN3I-DSF αὐτόςRD-GPM καίC οὐD θέλωVAI-AAI3P ὁRA-GSN ἐπιστρέφωVA-AAN |
[5]Wherefore hath this people of Jerusalem Turned back -- a perpetual backsliding? They have kept hold on deceit, They have refused to turn back. |
| [6]ἐνωτίζομαιVA-AMD2P δήX καίC ἀκούωVA-AAD2P οὐD οὕτωςD λαλέωVF-FAI3P οὐD εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἄνθρωποςN2-NSM μετανοέωV2-PAPNSM ἀπόP ὁRA-GSF κακίαN1A-GSF αὐτόςRD-GSM λέγωV1-PAPNSM τίςRD-ASN ποιέωVAI-AAI1S διαλείπωVBI-AAI3S ὁRA-NSM τρέχωV1-PAPNSM ἀπόP ὁRA-GSM δρόμοςN2-GSM αὐτόςRD-GSM ὡςC ἵπποςN2-NSM κάθιδροςA1B-NSM ἐνP χρεμετισμόςN2-DSM αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[6]I have given attention, yea, I hearken, They do not speak right, No man hath repented of his wickedness, Saying, What have I done? Every one hath turned to his courses, As a horse is rushing into battle. |
| [7]καίD ὁRA-NSF ἀσίδαN1A-NSF ἐνP ὁRA-DSM οὐρανόςN2-DSM γιγνώσκωVZI-AAI3S ὁRA-ASM καιρόςN2-ASM αὐτόςRD-GSF τρυγώνN3N-NSF καίC χελιδώνN3N-NSF ἀγρόςN2-GSM στρουθίονN2N-NPN φυλάσσωVAI-AAI3P καιρόςN2-APM εἴσοδοςN2-GPF αὐτόςRD-GPF ὁRA-NSM δέX λαόςN2-NSM ἐγώRP-GS οὐD γιγνώσκωVZI-AAI3S ὁRA-APN κρίμαN3M-APN κύριοςN2-GSM |
[7]Even a stork in the heavens hath known her seasons, And turtle, and swallow, and crane, Have watched the time of their coming, And -- My people have not known the judgment of Jehovah. |
| [8]πῶςD εἶπονVF2-FAI2P ὅτιC σοφόςA1-NPM εἰμίV9-PAI1P ἐγώRP-NP καίC νόμοςN2-NSM κύριοςN2-GSM εἰμίV9-PAI3S μετάP ἐγώRP-GP εἰςP μάτηνD γίγνομαιVCI-API3S σχοῖνοςN2-NSM ψευδήςA3H-NSM γραμματεύςN3V-DPM |
[8]How do ye say, We [are] wise, And the law of Jehovah [is] with us? Surely, lo, falsely it hath wrought, The false pen of scribes. |
| [9]αἰσχύνωVCI-API3P σοφόςA1-NPM καίC πτοέωVCI-API3P καίC ἁλίσκωVZI-AAI3P ὅτιC ὁRA-ASM λόγοςN2-ASM κύριοςN2-GSM ἀποδοκιμάζωVAI-AAI3P σοφίαN1A-NSF τίςRI-NSF εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐνP αὐτόςRD-DPM |
[9]Ashamed have been the wise, They have been affrighted, and are captured, Lo, against a word of Jehovah they kicked, And the wisdom of what -- have they? |
| [10]διάP οὗτοςRD-ASN δίδωμιVF-FAI1S ὁRA-APF γυνήN3K-APF αὐτόςRD-GPM ἕτεροςA1A-DPM καίC ὁRA-APM ἀγρόςN2-APM αὐτόςRD-GPM ὁRA-DPM κληρονόμοςN2-DPM |
[10]Therefore, I give their wives to others, Their fields to dispossessors, For from the least even unto the greatest, Every one is gaining dishonest gain, From prophet even unto priest, every one is dealing falsely. |

[11]And they heal the breach of the daughter of my people slightly, Saying, Peace, peace! and there is no peace. |

[12]They were ashamed when they did abomination! Yea, they are not at all ashamed, And blushing they have not known, Therefore, they do fall among falling ones, In the time of their inspection they stumble, said Jehovah. |
| [13]καίC συνἄγωVF-FAI3P ὁRA-APN γένημαN3M-APN αὐτόςRD-GPM λέγωV1-PAI3S κύριοςN2-NSM οὐD εἰμίV9-PAI3S σταφυλήN1-NSF ἐνP ὁRA-DPF ἄμπελοςN2-DPF καίC οὐD εἰμίV9-PAI3S σῦκονN2N-NPN ἐνP ὁRA-DPF συκῆN1-DPF καίC ὁRA-NPN φύλλονN2N-NPN καταῥέωVX-XAI3S |
[13]I utterly consume them, an affirmation of Jehovah, There are no grapes in the vine, Yea, there are no figs in the fig-tree, And the leaf hath faded, And the strength they have passeth from them. |
| [14]ἐπίP τίςRI-ASN ἐγώRP-NP καταἧμαιV5-PMI1P συνἄγωVC-APD2P καίC εἰςἔρχομαιVB-AAS1P εἰςP ὁRA-APF πόλιςN3I-APF ὁRA-APF ὀχυρόςA1A-APF καίC ἀποῥίπτωVV-APS1S ὅτιC ὁRA-NSM θεόςN2-NSM ἀποῥίπτωVAI-AAI3S ἐγώRP-AP καίC ποτίζωVAI-AAI3S ἐγώRP-AP ὕδωρN3-ASN χολήN1-GSF ὅτιC ἁμαρτάνωVBI-AAI1P ἐναντίονP αὐτόςRD-GSM |
[14]Wherefore are we sitting still? Be gathered, and we go in to the fenced cities, And we are silent there, For Jehovah our God hath made us silent, Yea, He causeth us to drink water of gall, For we have sinned against Jehovah. |
| [15]συνἄγωVQI-API1P εἰςP εἰρήνηN1-ASF καίC οὐD εἰμίV9-IAI3S ἀγαθόςA1-NPN εἰςP καιρόςN2-ASM ἴασιςN3I-GSF καίC ἰδούI σπουδήN1-NSF |
[15]Looking for peace -- and there is no good, For a time of healing, and lo, terror. |

[16]From Dan hath been heard the snorting of his horses, From the voice of the neighings of his mighty ones, Trembled hath all the land, And they come in and consume the land and its fulness, The city and the inhabitants in it. |
| [17]διότιC ἰδούI ἐγώRP-NS ἐκ ἀποστέλλωV1-PAI1S εἰςP σύRP-AP ὄφιςN3I-APM θανατόωV4-PAPAPM ὅςRR-DPM οὐD εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐπαΐωVA-AAN καίC δάκνωVF-FMI3P σύRP-AP |
[17]For, lo, I am sending among you serpents, Vipers that have no charmer, And they have bitten you, an affirmation of Jehovah. |
| [18]ἀνίατοςA1B-NPN μετάP ὀδύνηN1-GSF καρδίαN1A-GSF σύRP-GP ἀπορέωV2-PPPGSF |
[18]My refreshing for me [is] sorrow, For me my heart [is] sick. |
| [19]ἰδούI φωνήN1-NSF κραυγήN1-GSF θυγάτηρN3-GSF λαόςN2-GSM ἐγώRP-GS ἀπόP γῆN1-GSF μακρόθενD μήD κύριοςN2-NSM οὐD εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐνP *σιωνN--DSF ἤC βασιλεύςN3V-NSM οὐD εἰμίV9-PAI3S ἐκεῖD διάP τίςRI-ASN παραὀργίζωVAI-AAI3P ἐγώRP-AS ἐνP ὁRA-DPM γλυπτόςA1-DPM αὐτόςRD-GPM καίC ἐνP μάταιοςA1A-DPM ἀλλότριοςA1A-DPM |
[19]Lo, the voice of a cry of the daughter of my people from a land afar off, Is Jehovah not in Zion? is her king not in her? Wherefore have they provoked Me with their graven images, With the vanities of a foreigner? |
| [20]διαἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S θέροςN3E-NSN παραἔρχομαιVBI-AAI3S ἀμητόςN2-NSM καίC ἐγώRP-NP οὐD διασώζωVCI-API1P |
[20]Harvest hath passed, summer hath ended, And we -- we have not been saved. |

[21]For a breach of the daughter of my people have I been broken, I have been black, astonishment hath seized me. |

[22]Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? For wherefore hath not the health of the daughter of my people gone up? |
